Abstract

Raja Lake is a tourist icon of Indragiri Hulu. Based on data from the number of lake king Rengat visits in 2016 amounted to 7,110 visitors, in 2017 there were 6,420 visitors. in 2018 there were 22,134 visitors. The high data of visitors to the Raja Raja tourist attraction is inseparable from the communication strategy adopted by the youth and tourism youth service of Indragiri Hulu so that the Indragiri Hulu Regency is widely known in the hope that the increase in visits will increase more each year. The purpose of this study is to determine the strategy to determine communicators, the strategy of choosing the media, the strategy of conveying messages and determining the audience.The method used is a qualitative method. The research was carried out at the Indragiri Hulu youth youth and tourism agency. Data collection techniques with interviews, observation and documentation. There were 13 informants, namely, 3 from Indragiri Hulu's youth and tourism youth service, 4 tourist objects and 6 visitors. Data analysis techniques using the Interactive Miles and Huberman models. The data validity technique uses triangulation and extending participation.The results of this study indicate that the communication strategy carried out by the Indragiri Hulu youth and tourism youth service in attracting Raja Lake tourist visits is that communicators have credibility and extensive knowledge about Raja Lake tourism, namely those who do work in the promotion and marketing department. In conveying a message that is informative and persuasive, it emphasizes information with advantages and features offered by Raja Lake tourism. The media used are radio media, social media, and booklets. The primary audience is the Indragiri Hulu people who take part in the Keratif team program and visitors from within the Indragiri Hulu district and the secondary audience is visitors who come from outside the Indragiri Hulu district.

Abstract

Local culture is a culture that reflects from the cultural life of thecommunity from which it originated and became the pride of the area that has theculture. Each region has a diverse culture and has its own characteristics, as wellas Kuantan Singingi precise depths namely Jambi has local cultural traditionsperahu baganduang, in which there are symbols that symbolize the lives ofindigenous people in their daily jambi bottom, and also the value of local valuesthat must be preserved and introduced to the public, this phenomenon makes theresearcher is interested in conducting research in order to determine the symbolicmeaning contained in perahu baganduang tradition and values of local wisdomcontained therein.This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods and datacollection techniques using observation, interviews, documentation. Informants inthis study traditional leaders, and community and ninik mamak. The informantsobtained by purposive sampling technique. This technique determines theinformant deliberately and known in advance.The results of this study the researcher to get the meaning of the symbolicartifacts contained in perahu baganduang tradition that symbolizes the meaningof people's daily lives depths of Lubuk Jambi and obtained values of local wisdomin it reflects the behavior of the people in theLubuk Jambi live everyday life.Keywords: Perahu baganduang, symbols, tradition, local wisdom

Abstract

In the modern age, the phenomenon of marriage at a young age is still common in the community. Early marriage is not new in Indonesia. Early marriage or underage marriage, means getting married in a state that is still not financially secure, and is usually still a student or student status. Early marriage not only has a negative side but also has a positive side. Law Number 16 Year 2019 stipulates the age of 19 years as the adult age of a woman and 19 years of age for a man to get married. The purpose of this study was to see how teenage self-concept in early marriage in Pekanbaru City.This type of research is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. Research subjects were four teenagers in early marriage in Pekanbaru City. The validity of the data from this study is the extension of participation and triangulation.The results of this study indicate that the physical aspects of adolescents who engage in early marriage are seen from their own views as physical humans, family environment, friendship, and community views about the physical informants. Based on self-views, two informants had positive physical aspects and two informants had negative physical aspects. Whereas physical views based on others, one informant has positive physical aspects and three negative aspects. Psychological aspects of adolescents who do early marriage can be seen from the personality and acceptance of the conditions as a person who does early marriage. Two research informants assessed his personality and acceptance of his condition positively and two research informants assessed his personality and condition acceptance negatively. The social aspects of adolescents who engage in early marriage can be seen from its interactions with the family, friendship, community. Two informants have negative social aspects in interacting with family, two informants have positive social aspects in the family. All informants have positive social aspects in the friendship environment, two informants have negative social aspects in the community environment, two informants have positive social aspects in the community. Keywords:Teenage, Sel Concep, Physical Aspects, Psychological Aspects, Social Aspects

Abstract

Tebus kembar mayang ceremony is one of culture product. Nowadays, thisceremony is still running in village and done by community of east Java in jatibaruvillage bungaraya district siak regency as one of social culture.That activity includedvarious society (human) and as local genius.Inside of that ceremony occur socialinteraction between human, and this ceremony has symbolic meaning. The symbolicmeaning is a speech about truth of life for adult people who get marriage.Thisresearch focused by aim to know what the meaning procession marriage east java tosociety as local genius (approaching communication ethnography ceremony fromtebus kembar mayang in jatibaru village bungaraya district siak regency riauprovince). For answering the problem above, The writer take the reseach includephenomenology and symbolic interaction, in communication ethnography.This reseach approach is qualitative reseach with support by communicationethnography theory. The subject of this reseach is informant speaker that choosed bypurposive sampling technique consist of kembar mayang maker team, medicalpractisioner of meet wedding, family of female wedding, clergy and society whoinvolve in wedding party. The data of this reseach got from interview deeply,observation, documentation, library study and searching online data. For test of datavalidity used creadibilitas test . for technique of analysis data with redraw data,collecting data, serving data, take conclution and evaluation.Result of this reseach showed that tradition of tebus kembar mayangceremony not reputed only as tradition that exist in wedding party but tebus kembarmayang ceremony is a tradition that have values glorious and it will be given to twosubject of wedding in their new life at the future.

Abstract

ceremony is one of the rituals performed to celebrate the dharma victory (goodness) against adharma (evil) and as a form of gratitude to God Almighty. Ceremony of this galungan feast is also done by presenting banten that has been prepared by the people of bali villages and held this ceremony also to keep the rope silahturahmi between the people of Bali tribe in Kepenghuluan Pasir Putih with other communities. The purpose of this study to know the communicative situation, communicative events, and communicative acts in ceremonies Galungan feast in Kepenghuluan PasirPutih.The research method used is qualitative method by using ethnographic approach of communication. Informants in this study were 5 persons consisting of one person with adat stakeholder status, one person with status of community leader, one person with status of temple chairman, and two people with community status. And data collection technique using snowball sampling technique after that done participant observation, depth interview, and documentation.Based on the results of this study obtained shows that the communicative situation occurred in Pura Ganathana Kepenghuluan Pasir Putih and attended by the people of Bali and other communities. Communicative events in galungan ceremony consists of the type of event that is the opening greetings from the adat and community stakeholders and accompanied by the sound of bells. Topics in the form of a sign of gratitude. Purpose and function to request a prayer to Hyang Widhi. Setting is a ceremony held on the day around 10:00 pm until finished. Participants are family and society. The forms of messages are verbal and nonverbal. The contents of his message was begging for purgation and thankfulness. The sequence of action is to prepare a sitting posture, praying prayer, praying, mentirtha.The rules of interaction are found when the adat stakeholders begin the ceremony, at the mentirtha, discourse, and visit. The norms of interpretation there are values of decency, solidarity, and values of obedience and obedience to religion and custom. Communicative acts in the ceremony of Galungan festivities in the form of people who know the norms and have the skills in undergoing a series of ceremonies of Galungan.

Abstract

Indonesia, nowadays, is facing a large challenge of multinational criminalization. These cases are affected from the geographical condition of Indonesia and the large numbers of Indonesia civilizations which make any kinds of criminalization are easy to enter this country. Riau, especially, since this province is directly adjacent with Malaysia, Riau province becomes a strategic location for black markets and illegal transit shipments before they are sent to another regions in Indonesia. Until November 2014, there are five Malaysian prisoners in the Public Prison Class II A of Pekanbaru and they have to make any interactions with the other prisoners or the prison officers. The goal of this research is to analyze the communication patterns and to identify the verbal and nonverbal communication of the Malaysia prisoners in the Public Prison Class II A of Pekanbaru.This research used qualitative methode by phenomenological approach. The subject of research is 5 who represent Community member of ME&ART selected use technique of purposive. Data obtained through participant observation, in-depth interview, and documentation. This research use technique analyse data of interaktif by using data collecting technique, data discount, presentation of data and withdrawal of conclusion.The results of this research are showed that the communication patterns of the Malaysia prisoners are divided into two; the first one is internal communication pattern which uses all channels outline. In this pattern, they can make any interaction and it will influence each other. The second one is Y outline. In this outline, they need a translator to interpret their language. Abstract

Tuwun Mandi is one of the traditions of the village of Pangkalan Indarung located in Singingi District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. This tradition is held as a welcome for newborns. Which helps as a way for the baby to get acquainted with the world. The purpose of this research is to study the symbolic meaning that exists in this tradition, while the subfocus is the symbolic meaning of competition in the Tuwun Mandi tradition, the product of interaction from the Tuwun Mandi tradition, and the interpretation of the Tuwun Mandi tradition.          This study used qualitative research methods. The informants of this study were determined based on a purposive technique, which consisted of 2 core implementers and 3 general public meaning that all informants in this study had been selected based on certain considerations. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The data validity technique used in this study is triangulation and extension of participation.          The results of this study indicate that, the meaning of the physical object that is all the attributes used such as incense: the prayer will start, chicken: a substitute for life in the hereafter, a knife: a weapon in life, a pot of pot: a barrier to disease and others. social object that is mantra: blessed by the ancestors and prayer: blessing from the almighty god. The meaning of social interaction products for traditional leaders: the identity of the Indarung base community, village midwives: preserving cultural heritage and the general public: so that children get blessed. The meaning of interpretation includes closed actions and open actions. Closed actions are related to motivation and feelings. Abstract

The culture of each nation consists of large and small elements. The process of intercultural interaction and communication in Indonesia occurs a lot and is influenced by one of the government's programs, namely transmigration. One of them is Talang Perigi Village, Rakit Kulim Sub-District where the indigenous tribes in the village are Talang Mamak Tribe. At first the Talang Mamak tribe was difficult to interact with Javanese tribes who came from transmigration because the Talang Mamak community was a closed society so it was difficult to interact with Javanese tribes. This study aims to determine the strategy of overcrowding, excessive divergence and accommodation, carried out by the Javanese community with the Talang Mamak tribe community in Talang Perigi Village, Rakit Kulim District, Indragiri Hulu Regency.            This study uses a qualitative method. The subjects of this study were Javanese and Talang Mamak tribe. A total of 10 people were selected purposively, consisting of 2 community leaders from each tribe or customary leader, then 3 Javanese people, and 3 people with talang mamak. The technique of collecting data is done through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique of this study uses the Interacative analysis model Huberman and Miles.            The results of this study indicate that the convergence strategy of the Javanese people and the Talang Mamak tribe in Talang Perigi Village is to adopt the language of the interlocutor, make body movements that indicate attraction, adjust the language of the interlocutor, and wear clothing that does not reflect the difference between his interlocutors. The divergence strategy that is carried out is that there is no effort to know and use the language of the interlocutor, do not make gestures that show interest when communicating, use their own culture of speech, and show differences in the social status of ethnic differences when communicating. The cause of excessive accommodation labeling is the existence of errors in using the language of the interlocutor, excessive in telling the experience and knowledge possessed, and excessive in adapting the distance of communication without understanding the physical condition that is owned.  Keywords: Accommodation communication, Intercultural Communication, The Middle Java Tribe and Talang Mamak

Abstract

Branch Communiation is a connecting bridge between a company with society. So that Public Relation practicioner of PT. Angkasa Pura II (Persero) keep on trying to build positive sinergy with media in order to increase positive image. Kualanamu Airport is one of majestic icon at Sumatera Utara which continuosly gain 4 star Skytrax in three times. Despite building a lot of cooperation with media doesn’t promises that the news will always positive, but also there is some negative news which interestingly packed but cornering the company at the other side.This research using descriptive qualitative method. Subject determine with purposive and accidental sampling technique. Informant in this research is Branch Communication Manager, Branch Communication Assistant Manager PT. Angkasa Pura II Kualanamu Airport, 4 media that often covers Kualanamu and also 4 Kualanamu Airport users. Data collection with interview, observation, and documentation. Data analisys use the model interactive data analys Miles and Huberman. The validation of data uses an extention of participation and triangulation. Result of this research shown that media relations strategy which Branch Communication PT. Angkasa Pura II Kualanamu Airport in order to increase positive image concern 3 things. Strategy to develop relation is creating Whatsapp Group “KNO media community” to make communication acces easier. And also make activities with media like coffee morning, gathering, press conference, press luncheon and others. In developing strategy, Branch Communication also join various seminars to expand public relation with mass media,  fast response to provide information and clarification to media crew, Tour Kualanamu use networking media. And strategy in developing networks by the Branch Communication is done by having good relationship with Persatuan Wartawan Indonesia (PWI), Ikatan Jurnalis Televisi Indonesia (IJTI) and will join PERHUMAS Sumatera Utara which has vacum for a long time. And so the obstacles faced during a relationship with media crew is the information from buzzer on uncredible social media, so that negative news will often occurred without clarification from airport side.
