Abstract

Human resources development is a very peculiar position, he did not just pay attention to the environment in his department, but a duty pay attention and nurture all departments within the company's organizational structure. Drillindo Dimas companies especially those in the departments of human resouces development in addition to serving as security is concerned security in the company, which also runs the public relations function resolve employee conflicts. The purpose of the study is to examine the persuasive communication strategy development of human resources in resolving conflicts company employees Dimas Branch Drillindo Duri Riau province, as well as to determine the causes of conflict in the company Dimas Branch Drillindo Duri Riau Province.This research uses descriptive qualitative method is based on primary data source and secondary data and use the data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation. Informants in the study as many as 7 people were determined by purposive sampling. Analysis using the model of interactive data analysis Miles and Huberman, where the data were obtained and processed to be reduced, so that the resulting presented a general conclusion, and examination techniques participation data using an extension that extends the participation of researchers to know the validity of the data.The results of this study indicate that persuasive communication strategies undertaken by human resources leadership development is very good. It is clear from the persuasive process conducted by the human resources leadership development can affect employees. Factors that are often the cause of conflict between employees is a communication error occurs between employees, lack of facilities owned by the company and other causes.Keywords: persuasive communication, conflicts, Human resources development.

Abstract

Mobile Legends Game is an online game is an online game that phenomenon in all major cities in Indonesia including in Pekanbaru city. The enthusiasts of Mobile Legends games ranging from children, adolescents to adults. Interestingly, the phenomenon of Mobile Legends game is also happening to women. There is only one women only squad that is Victory Squad. Victory Squad has 8 female members who play this Mobile Legends game almost every day. Mobile Legends Game is a game action strategy that requires cohesiveness, but often found in this Mobile Legends game users who use harsh words. This research is to know the motive, meaning and experience of female communications member of Victory Squad in playing Mobile Legends game.This research uses qualitative research method with phenomenology approach. The subjects consisted of 5 members of Victory Squad who were selected using Purposive Sampiling technique. This study uses in-depth interview data collection, observation, and research documentation. To achieve the validity of the data in this study, researchers used extension of participation and triangulation.The results show first, the female motives of Victory Squad members to play Mobile Legends game consists of motives because (because motive) that is hobby, trend, social environment, and fad. While the motive for (in order to motive) that is popularity and not underestimated. Second, the meaning given by women members of Victory Squad to Mobile Legends game that is game as means and game as world. Third, the Victory Squad women's communication experience is categorized into two pleasant communication experiences and an unpleasant communication experience. Both categories are a communication experience of women Victory Squad members with family, with one team in the Mobile Legends game and with the environment. The form of a fun communication experience in this case is the support and acceptance of the family, the existence of solidarity and mutual support in the game game Mobile Legends game, as well as the support and acceptance of the surrounding environment like friends. While the form of communication experience is not fun is the prohibition and rejection of the family, the presence of players who are selfish, not compact and said rough or dirty in a team game Mobile Legends game, and the existence of a rejection or a negative view of women who play Mobile Legends games from the surrounding environment .Keyword: Phenomena, Game Mobile Legends , Phenomenology, Victory Squad Members

Abstract

Bundokanduang an institution or agency of indigenous women Minangkabau interpreted as true mother whose maternal instincts and leadership and ‘women's role as an institution that plays a role in preserving the cultural values of Minangkabau. And this study aims to determine the role of communication Bundokanduang institutions in preserving the cultural values of Minangkabau.The method used in this study is a qualitative method approach symbolic interaction. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Informants contained in this research consisted of seven people is determined by purposive sampling.Role of Information Bundokanduang institutions have in the preservation of cultural values of Minangkabau, through programs run Bundokanduang role information. divided into three programs, namely in the areas of organization, education, and the field of customary law, in addition Bundokanduang also provides preservation of cultural values in the form of nature and daily behavior. Abstract

Pekanbaru City has great potential in increasing the tourism sector. This is one of the great assets for the government to develop tourism here. Currently, the Pekanbaru City Culture and Tourism Office has created a tourism development program for this area which aims to brand tourism so that it can become an icon in the region. One of the tourist destinations that is being developed is the Okura Tourism Village. Okura Tourism Village is a village that has culture, natural beauty, and community activities that can be a special attraction for tourists who come to visit. This study aims to determine several stages of destination branding carried out by the Pekanbaru City Culture and Tourism Office in developing the Okura Tourism VillageThis study uses a qualitative method. The research subjects were 6 people. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique is by reducing the data, presenting the data, drawing conclusions, and evaluating using the technique of checking the validity of the data, namely triangulation.The results showed that the Pekanbaru City Disbukpar implemented five stages of destination branding in developing the Okura Tourism Village. First, mapping the market potential, namely developing the potential of Malay Culture in Okura Tourism Village and identifying current community trends. Then take advantage of the technological factor, develop a tourist attraction. Second, create a brand identity, namely the name of the tourist destination, Okura Tourism Village. Third, promote through the website, and social media., as well as establishing good relations with the community. Fourth, establish participation with stakeholders, including travel agencies, Pokdarwis, and several hotels. Fifth, monitoring, evaluation, and review, such as monitoring complaints and suggestions from visitors, either directly or through social media, followed by an evaluation process to make improvements to improve the tourism aspect of Okura. keywords: Tourism communication, Tourism Object Development, Destination Branding

Abstract

The Ayun Budak tradition in Dumai City is part of the culture which inherited hereditary from the Siak Malay’s custom. Technically, the tradition done by the parents to calm their crying child or make it as a lullaby. However, the Ayun Budak is important for the locals in case of consisting the local wisdom such as forming character, an expression of hapiness and grateful to Allah subhanawata’ala, as a media to offered advices, also to strengthen the relations among the locals. So that the tradition established as the succession of custom which held simultaneously or not with aqiqah. The aim of this research is to ascertain how the communication activity in Ayun Budak which setted as one event called Ayun Budak ceremonial.The method that used in this research is qualitative method with etnography communication approach. The datas gathered through observation, interview and documentation. There are 10 (ten) informant that determined by purposive sampling technique.The result of this research shows that the communicative situasion in Ayun Budak ceremonial could be done in parent’s home, the males seat in the front room and females in the back room of the house. The communicative occasion based in the type of the occasion that is opening and the verse to be sung. The discourse topic is an expression of gratefulness to Allah subhanawata’ala, offering advice and praying. Purpose and function of this tradition as an instrument to strengthen the relations, trancendental feelings, and gratefulness. The setting of Ayun Budak is in parents home and unbound to the time which attended by theologians, traditional leader, tambourine group, and elders whether from the inner family or local communities. The message shaped verbally and nonverbally. It consists advice, religious advice, and character forming. The step of the event does not begin by opening, marhaban and barzanji and the child is to be swung. Interaction theorem is rule and norm which exist in the event, interpretation norm in Ayun Budak drives to courtesy, sociability or kindness, and respecting each other, also obey and understand to religion and custom principles. Whereas in communicative acts mean people who understand the Ayun Budak are tradition leader, theologians, tambourine group, and the elders.Keyword: Tradition, Ayun Budak Tradition, Ethnography Communication

Abstract

The implementation of the method carried out by public relations greatly affects the satisfaction or comfort of customers towards the Pekanbaru BTN image. Based on the problems in the research, the problem can be formulated in this study, namely how is the marketing public relations strategy in building a brand image on Bank BTN KC Pekanbaru (case study: KPR BTN Platinum)?. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method. This research was conducted at the Bank BTN TC Pekanbaru located on Jl. Jendral Sudirman No. 393. The schedule of this study is conducted from November 2017 to July 2018. The research subjects are based on a focus on searching data and evidence in fact, can be in the form of interview data, reactions, and responses or information. This research information is from BTN KC Bank Pekanbaru is: Manager 1 Person, Assistant Manager 1 Person, Head of HRD KC BTN Bank Pekanbaru 1 Person and Customer 8 People. The number of speakers was 11 people. The subject taking technique in this study is the Purposive technique. After the data is collected, the researcher analyzes the data using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the research can be suggested that the Public Relations Marketing Strategy through Information in building imagedi brand KC Bank BTN Pekanbaru is done by providing information through the media in the form of facebook, instragram, distributing the form of brochures or pamphlets installation. The Public Relations Marketing Strategy through public services in building a brand image on Pekanbaru Bank BTN KC is done by providing good service and being friendly. Public Relations Marketing Strategy through publications in building the imaginary brand Pekanbaru KC Bank BTN is carried out by intensifying promotions in print and social media, promoting special promos related to products and services offered by the Bank to attract customers, improve service and services by doing sales call to customers so that there is a harmonious relationship and reciprocal communication between customer desires and bank services.

Abstract

Interaction between people of different cultures often happens in everyday life. In the interaction between the cultures, there is an understanding that focuses on the role of verbal and nonverbal communication in the conversation, which was based on the belief that people from different cultural communities will adjust to accommodate other cultures. Each occurrence of communication accommodation, there are strategies used to stabilize the communication process they were doing, such a strategy is the convergence and divergence and overaccomodation label. This study aims to determine the forms of strategy in the accommodation as a strategy of convergence, divergence and overaccomodation labeling to the speaker by the people of the Malays and Javanese in the village of Bukit Gajah District of Ukui Pelalawan.This study used a qualitative descriptive approach of symbolic interaction and using data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and dokumentation. Informants in this study amounted to 20 were determined by purposive samplingThe results showed that the shape of the convergence strategy undertaken by the community of the Malays and Javanese in the village of Bukit Gajah are using the language of his interlocutor, physical approach, adjust the speed and volume, adjusting ornaments used, as well as customize the dress code when communicating. Shape divergence strategy using different languages with the language of his interlocutor, does not create body movement which describes interests, trying to distinguish the volume and rate of speech, trying to create distance limitations, and show differences ranging from social status to ethnic differences when communicating. Causes overaccomodation labeling is due to an error in using the language of his interlocutor, excessive share the experience and knowledge the speaker, as well as excessive in adapting the communication distance. Abstract

Lady Gaga known as eccentric singer and songwriter worldwide. Her career as amusician recorded raise every years. Her fans spread around the world especially in Indonesia.Most of Lady Gaga fans in Indonesia are teenagers. Instability of teenage personality makestheir ability to filtering west culture decrease. A different view of western culture brought byLady Gaga will be the long-term impacts for teens.The purpose of this study is to find out what exactly the meaning of the text contained inthe lyrics of Born This Way song by separating denotation, connotation and myth. This researchused qualitative methods descriptive which the data was obtained through interviews,documentation, and reference materials. As well as using semiotic analysis technique developedby Roland Barthes to know what the meaning of the Born This Way song lyrics that written andpopularized by Lady Gaga. This research presented the subject is a fan of Lady Gaga and somepeople who considered able to provide supporting information. Researchers using purposivesampling technique to determined the informants. While the research object is the text of thelyrics of the song Born This Way is obtained directly from the original CD.The results showed that the meaning of the Born This Way song written by Lady Gaga isabout freedom in many ways, a vindication of social deviation, and support for minoritiesthroughout the world. It can be seen from the mention of the various races in the Born This Waylyrics such as Black, White, Beige, and Chola Descent. This song serves as a support for theadolescent desire to be free and diminish the awareness of the social norms prevailing in thecommunity in accordance with the results of interviews with several informants. Eventually teenstarted to accept the deviation as a matter of course and can be tolerated. Abstract

Indragiri Hulu Regency is one of the regencies that has natural potential that can be used as a leading tourism destination. Rantau Langsat Village is one of the areas in Indragiri Hulu Regency which has various forms of tourism in it. This tourist destination is program as one of the ecotourism in Riau Province. Of course, in carrying out this discourse, it is inseparable from the communication strategy carried out by the Youth, Sports and Tourism Office. The purpose of this study was to determine the strategy for selecting communicators, message composition, media selection and target audience determination.        The method used is a qualitative research method. The research was conducted at the Department of Youth, Sports and Tourism, Indragiri Hulu Regency. Data collection techniques with interviews, observation and documentation. There were 6 informants, namely 2 from the Youth, Sports and Tourism Office of Indragiri Hulu Regency, 2 from the management of the Rantau Salo tourism awareness group and 2 visitors. The data validity technique uses triangulation and participation expansion.        The results of this study indicate that the communication strategy carried out by the Youth, Sports and Tourism Office of Indragiri Hulu Regency in attracting tourist visits to Rantau Langsat tourist destinations is to determine that communicators have credibility and broad knowledge about Rantau Langsat tourist destinations. informative and persuasive while in the media selection strategy, the Youth Sports and Tourism Office uses social media Instagram and Facebook and the output media of billboards and banners, then the strategy in determining targets or audiences, the Youth Sports and Tourism Office does not determine the criteria because Rantau Langsat Tourism can be visited both young and old.  Keyword : Communication Strategic, Communicator, Message, Media, Target Audience

Abstract

Tradition jalang menjalang ninik mamak kemenakan is a hereditary tradition that every nephew's grandchildren in the village of Ngaso together visiting ninik mamak, sorak, government in a place that has been arranged in such a way and there is a series of communicative events in carrying out tradition jalang menjalang. Tradition jalang menjalang ninik mamak kemenakan held as a mark of respect or uphold ninik mamak bye grandchildren's niece and keep the relationship between the ropes ninik mamak kemenakan located in Ngaso Village. The purpose of this study is to know the communicative situation, communicative events, and communicative acts in the tradition jalang menjalang ninik mamak kemenakan in Ngaso Village.The method used in this research is qualitative method with ethnographic approach of communication. Infoman in this research is tribal parents, ninik mamak, and niece. Techniques of collecting data using interviews, observation, and documentation.Based on the results of the research, the communicative situation of the traditional event jalang menjalang ninik mamak in outdoors that is a multipurpose field Ngaso Village and the present ninik mamak, tribal parents, cheers, government figures and children's grandchildren nephew. Communicative events jalang menjalang ninik mamak Includes Type of event is a type of greeting, traditional music, silek, tombok adat, prayers and eat together. Topics in the form of tribute and hospitality. Objectives and Functions for the sign of respect or uphold mamak, hospitality, and introduce the customs of Ngaso Village to the grandchild's grandchild. Participants namely ninik mamak, tribal parents, cheers, government figures and all the children's grandchildren every tribal nephew. Verbal and non-verbal Messaging. The contents of the message in the form of custom tombok give advice by ninik mamak to the children and grandchildren nephew and prayers. The sequence of action that is pot hammer, playing instrument calempong at night, picking compan jinni by dubalang, welcoming jinni kompek with silek, and process goes tradisi jalang menjalang mamak. nteraction rules are available when welcoming, welcoming jinny and at the time of the event menjalang ninik mamak. Norms there are norms of civility, mutual respect, religious and customary values.
