Abstract

Previous research has found the low ability of millennial school counselors in Palembang to innovate. They only carry out activities that have become a tradition and habit (follower), rarely do program development, even they are used to uploading programs that are shared in group chat. That situation was contradicting with the concept of millennial as innovative generation and the opportunities for self-development provided by technological advances. Design thinking can be referred to as a way of expressing creativity to generate innovative ideas. The research aims to conceptualize the design thinking development of an innovative culture of school counselors. The research was conducted on 30 purposive samples, using descriptive methods which are then combined with the design thinking work step. The research resulted in 1) the main need for the development of an innovative culture through design thinking, 2) a prototype for an innovative culture development activity called "Monday briefing".

Abstract

The emergence of COVID-19 pandemic has made it difficult for people to access health services. According to JKN statistics, FKTP visits was decreased from 337.69 million (2019) to 193.03 (2021). Teleconsultation, a type of telemedicine, could be the right solution so that people can still access the health services they need and protect themselves from the spread of COVID-19. There was an increase in the use of several teleconsultation applications in Indonesia during pandemic, from 4 million to more than 15 million people. However, this rate is only 7.63% of the internet users and 5.6% of the total population of Indonesia, so increasing access to health services through telemedicine is still challenging to achieve. Therefore, this study aims to determine the description and factors related to the intention to use health teleconsultation services during COVID-19 pandemic among Jabodetabek residents aged 19-49. This quantitative study used a cross-sectional design and PLS-SEM data analysis method. The results showed a significant relationship between social influence, perceived usefulness, trust in providers, and trust in the internet on the intention to use teleconsultation services. Intention-to-use was also significantly related to the use of teleconsultation services. In addition, a significant relationship was found between perceived need with trust in the provider, and perceived health risk and perceived ease of use with perceived usefulness.

Abstract

The use of a contact tracing application is one of the efforts made to overcome the global COVID-19 pandemic with an increasing number of cases. The contact tracing application used in Indonesia is PeduliLindungi which is one of the requirements for accessing public areas, which was initially applied to the Java-Bali region. However, in its use, there are still challenges that affect the quality of electronic services. This study aims to analyze user perceptions of the service quality of the PeduliLindungi application based on the E-Servqual dimension. The method used is observational with a quantitative approach using a cross-sectional design. The results showed that overall, the user's perception of the quality of the PeduliLindungi application was good with positive ratings on the service quality dimensions of the PeduliLindungi application. The dimensions that have a significant relationship to the user's perception of the quality of the PeduliLindungi (ESQ) application are the dimension of user experience (EXP) and user trust (TRU). The dimension of reliability (REL), responsiveness (RES), ease of use (EOU), privacy (PRI), system availability (SA), application design (WD), and information quality (IQ) do not have a significant relationship to user perceptions of the quality of the PeduliLindungi (ESQ) application. Suggestions that can be given are to improve and improve the system and technical functions and improve security for user data.

Abstract

The Cardiovascular disease (CVD) prevalence continues to increase. This study aims to identify the CVD spending and utilization in the Indonesia National Health Insurance (JKN) scheme 2017-2021 using the JKN claims classified by Disease Accounts analyzed descriptively. The CVD spending increased by $125,4 million in 2019 compared to 2017 and mostly for the hospital (91% in 2019) with the highest spending occurring in the age above 60 years. Moreover, the hospital inpatient spending was dominated during these five years. The highest portion of spending by severity level was at mild level, followed by moderate and severe levels. Health facilities’ capacities across the regions remain the issue in providing health services, especially for the CVD that require further treatment using advanced technology. The CVD cost continues to increase annually; fortunately, the JKN plays a key role as financial protection for participants. But, there was a decrease in the number of visits and spending on CVD during the COVID-19 pandemic because of lockdown policies and health systems shifting to provide capacity to overcome COVID-19. The decrease in the number of visits to health facilities raises the potential of being diagnosed later with more severe. As policy recommendations, strengthening primary care screening and hospital capacity across regions through implementing the Health System Transformation are expected to reduce the impact of these problems.

Abstract

The Emergency Department (ED) is crucial for ensuring patient care and safety in hospitals. A key performance indicator is Length of Stay (LOS), where prolonged LOS can lead to overcrowding, increase the risk of adverse events, and lower patient satisfaction. This study examines the service flow, barriers, and root causes of LOS in Hospital X's ED and provides improvement recommendations. Data were gathered through observation of 30 patients, interviews, and document reviews. Lean Thinking principles and the BAS method from BASICS (Baseline, Assess, Suggest Solution, Implement, Check Result, Sustain) were used in the analysis, employing flowcharts to map the process, Value Stream Mapping to identify waste, and The Five Whys to analyze root causes. Results show that 65.5% of time was spent on non-value-added activities, 23.4% on necessary but non-value-added, and 11.1% on value-added activities, with a total Lead Time of 7 hours, 55 minutes, and 29 seconds. Patient-side waste includes waiting (94.9%) and transportation (5.1%). Bottlenecks were found in waiting for inpatient registration (25.2%), waiting for the primary physician's advice (22.9%), waiting for diagnostic results (22.3%), and waiting for inpatient readiness (18.2%), totaling 88.6%. LOS improvement can be achieved through lean tools such as standardized work, visual management, heijunka, kaizen, and just-in-time.
