Abstract

Abstract – The task of Army Aviation Operations is carried out in remote areas where airport services are still minimal, the process related to refueling for pilot helicopters is an obstacle in carrying out the pilot's main tasks. So, we need tools to make the process more effective. This research uses a method that will obtain quantitative data for research to prove the hypothesis. The method is known as the Development Life Cycle Waterfall Diagram and experimental research. Currently still using a hand pump, therefore it is necessary to have a tool that is portable and uses an electric pump. specifically for fuel which is controlled by Arduino and the android application as input for a filling command and can store charging data. In this case the tool system uses supporting components, namely batteries, Bluetooth hc 05, 5v relays and flow sensors. With the research on portable pump tools, the process can be more efficient than hand pumps. When refueling the helicopter, it is enough to enter the charging value from the android application, the charging is already running, and the charging data is stored in the android file.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This study investigated the effectiveness of ThinkFeels Diary as a meta-affective and meta-cognitive assessment tool in supporting students' mental health in science classrooms. The study used a mixed-method approach and included 205 students.  The ThinkFeels Diary, which allowed students to record both cognitive learning components and affective responses (emotions and feelings) during science courses, was the main component of the intervention. The MENTAL-Q questionnaire was used in pre-test and post-test designs to quantify the influence on mental health. Qualitative data from 3,840 student reflections were analyzed using NVivo 12. Results showed varied outcomes across classrooms. Two topics demonstrated significant changes: "The Nature of Science & Scientific Method" (p = 0.037, mean difference = -0.16) and "Measurement" (p = 0.018, mean difference = -1.41), both showing decreased mental health scores, possibly due to increased metacognitive demands. Analysis of sub-dimensions revealed complex patterns: the "Human Digestive System" topic showed notable improvements in empathy (+0.39) and adaptability (+0.37), though accompanied by increased depression (+0.38) and stress (+0.26).  According to the qualitative analysis, students’ emotional awareness (meta-affective) interacts dynamically with strategic thinking (meta-cognitive) before, during and after the learning. Reflection acts as a crucial link that turns experience into growth. This findings revealed the need of considering cognitive-emotional demands of different science topics to effectively support student mental health.

Abstract

Gold mine tailings are characterized by low organic matter, poor nutrient availability, extreme pH conditions, and unfavorable texture, all of which restrict plant growth. This study evaluated the effects of cow manure (CM) on soil chemical properties, carbon-to-nitrogen (C/N) ratio, and the growth and biomass of water kale (Ipomoea reptans Poir.) cultivated in tailings-based media. A greenhouse experiment was arranged in a randomized block design consisting of five treatments: 0% (control), 15%, 30%, 45%, and 60% CM (v/v), each replicated six times. Observations included soil pH, organic carbon, total nitrogen, C/N ratio, plant growth parameters, biomass, and microbial populations at 35 days after planting. The application of CM significantly increased organic C, total N, and the C/N ratio, with the highest values observed at 60% CM. However, higher CM doses reduced substrate pH to slightly acidic levels. The 15% CM treatment produced the greatest improvements in plant growth and biomass, increasing plant height by 21%, stem thickness by 29%, leaf number by 8%, and fresh and dry biomass by 73% and 120%, respectively, compared with the control. Increasing CM above 15% enhanced the C/N ratio but did not further improve plant performance, likely due to reduced nitrogen availability associated with higher organic matter and slower mineralization. CM applications did not significantly affect bacterial or fungal populations in the rhizosphere. Overall, the findings indicate that low-dose CM (15%) is optimal for improving the C/N ratio, supporting nutrient availability, and enhancing water kale growth in tailings. This study demonstrates the potential of organic amendments for rehabilitating gold mine tailings and highlights their role in restoring soil functionality and supporting sustainable revegetation efforts.
