Abstract

The specific purpose of this study is to examine the effect of perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and Attitude toward using on the Actual usage of participating in the Training Record Book assessment in using a partial online-based registration application. This study used a sample of 100 participating in the Training Record Book assessment, both from the Academy and the Vocational High School level. The sampling technique in this study was nonprobability sampling with a purposive sampling-method. Based on the research results, it can be concluded as follows: (1) Perceived ease of use affects Attitude toward using, that the easier it is to use an application, it changes the user's attitude to be interested using it. (2) Perceived usefulness has a positive and significant effect on Attitude toward using, the more useful an application is in accelerating a work process,it changes the user's attitude to be interested in using it. (3) Perceives ease of use has a positive and significant effect on Actual usage, the easier it is to use an application, then brings users to be interested in increasing the frequency of use as a result of user satisfaction to convey their satisfaction to others. (4) Perceived usefulness has a positive and significant effect on Actual usage,more useful an application in accelerating a work process, so it will bring users to be interested in increasing the frequency of use. (5) Attitude toward using has a positive and significant effect on Actual usage, more positive the Attitude toward using an application, the more users are interested in increasing the frequency of use.

Abstract

Anchoring is tying the ship to the bottom of the water so that the ship is not exposed to currents and wind. When anchoring anchors, there are often various kinds of problems stemming from internal and external factors. Internal factors themselves include problems with parts of the anchor that support anchor performance caused by lack of maintenance, especially on the anchor chain. This is what makes the author choose to raise the issue of the role of anchor chain maintenance. The research method used is qualitative descriptive by describing the role of maintaining a good and correct anchor chain. The data used is in the form of primary data obtained through field observations and interviews. Secondary data are obtained through documentation and literature studies. The results showed the need for anchor chain maintenance procedures to support the implementation of PMS on board, to create safe conditions when docking and support anchor work. The impact that will arise if you do not carry out the role of maintaining a good and correct anchor chain, namely corrosion, exhaustion of wildcat gears, influence on the anchor berthing process, the heavy up anchor process is disrupted and can hamper ship operations.

Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitianini adalah 1) untuk mengetahui dan menganalis bentuk formulasi pengaturan pidana pengawasan dalam upaya pembaharuan hukum pidana di Indonesia 2)untuk mengetahui dan menganalis tentang pidana pengawasan dalam perspektif pembaharuan hukum pidana apakah dapat mewujudkan tujuan pemidanaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian hukum normatif dan pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan perundang-undangan dan pendekatan konseptual serta pendekatan perbandingan. Analisis bahan hukum yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara menginterprestasikan, mengevaluasi dan menilai semua peraturan perundang-undangan serta menilai bahan-bahan hukum yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pidana pengawasan berfungsi untuk melindungi pelaku dari dampak negatif adanya pidana perampasan kemerdekaan.Terhadap pelaku yang belum dikenai pidana perampasan kemerdekaan, di perkenankan untuk menikmati kebebasannya dengan menjalankan aktifitas sehari-hari secara normal di tengah masyarakat seraya memperbaiki dirinya.Terhadap pelaku yang menjalani pidana pengawasan dalam jangka waktu tertentu tersebut di awasi oleh pejabat pengawas dalam rangka melaporkan perkembangan pelaku.Terhadap pelaku, jika berkelakuan baik maka jangka waktu pengawasannya dapat di persingkat, namun jika sebaliknya hukuman dapat diperberat.Pidana pengawasan bercita-cita sebagai pelindung kepentingan individu terpidana dan kepentingan masyarakat yang menjadi arah tujuan pemidanaan modern. Agar pidana pengawasan sebagai salah satu jenis pidana yang terdapat di dalam rancangan KUHP 2017 ini dapat segera di sahkan dengan memperhatikan adanya keterdesakan adanya alternatif pidana perampasan kemerdekaan.Agar menghindari kesan bahwa pidana pengawasan bersifat lunak agar syarat dijatuhkan nya pidana pengawasan tersebut di rumuskan dalam suatu redaksional yang bersifat imperatif

Abstract

The Merchant Marine Polytechnic of Sulawesi Utara hold a community service to the people of Sapa Timur Village is motivated by the responsibility for implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and the low level of public understanding of the basics of safety while on board ships. The activity was hold in May 7, 2024. The purpose of this community service is to achieve the target of the community service work program and increase public knowledge about basic safety and disaster preparedness training on ships. The method used is socialization and training. The results and conclusions obtained are majority of the community participants got many of understanding knowledge of the basics of safety on board and hoping for similar activities to be carried out again.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to find out how controlling and communication with integrated information systems affect learner competence. The research method used is descriptive moderation, where the moderator variable affects the relationship between the independent and dependent variables, both directly and indirectly. The analysis technique used is Structural Equation Model Analysis (SEM) with Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of the study found that controlling of students who carry out practice onboard affects the improvement of student competence, this is evidenced in the statistical t value result 2.083 > 1.645, while the p value result is 0.037 < 0.050. Communication has a significant influence on the competency of students who practice onboard that evidenced by statistical t value result is 4.015 > 1.645 and p value result is 0.000. Controlling has a significant influence on Information System, which is statical t value 6.711 > 1.645 and p value 0.000. Information systems have a significant influence on competence as evidenced by the statistical t value 3.077 > 1.645 and p value 0.002. Information Systems can mediate the relationship between Communication and Controlling on Competency as evidenced by the value of t statistics 2.276 > 1.645, This shows that there is a direct and indirect relation between variables, which means that the integrated information system used functions as a partial control. In addition, the Controlling variable on Competency mediated by Information Systems remains significant, with a statistical t value of 2.748 greater than 1.645, shows that the Information System provides a partial control in the relation between Control Ability that students achieve during practice onboard.

Abstract

Maintenance is an activity to prevent damage from an early age that will occur by periodically inspecting equipment using sensors and sophisticated tools. Docking is a process of moving ships from seawater to docking with the help of docking facilities. A shipyard is a place that will later be used to carry out the process of building ships/repairing and maintaining ships. The implementation of ship maintenance on dock requires planned maintenance management by the owner of the ship. In terms of the implementation of maintenance work comes into two: planned and unplanned. An overview of the implementation of docking that occurred on MT ships. NGAGEL SO. As a result, the ship ran aground and ignored the recommended maintenance. The importance of care management carried out must be in accordance with the guidebook. There is support from ship owners to support the maintenance system on the ship. Implement a care management system that complies with maintenance rules. Treatment that is done in accordance with regulations, can help increase the life of the equipment to be used and reduce repair costs and time efficiency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi tumpang tindih aturan hukum dalam konteks penegakan hukum wilayah laut, pembentukan peradilan maritim, dan penerapan konsep omnibus law di Indonesia analisis peraturan perundang-undangan yang relevan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tumpang tindih aturan hukum dalam penegakan hukum wilayah laut disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor utama, yaitu kurangnya koordinasi antar lembaga penegak hukum, ketidakjelasan yurisdiksi, serta perbedaan interpretasi hukum antar lembaga. Pembentukan peradilan maritim diidentifikasi sebagai langkah yang penting namun menghadapi tantangan dalam implementasinya, terutama terkait dengan harmonisasi peraturan dan peningkatan kapasitas sumber daya manusia. Penerapan konsep omnibus lawdiharapkan dapat menyederhanakan dan merasionalisasi peraturan, namun memerlukan pendekatan yang hati-hati untuk menghindari konflik hukum baru dan memastikan keterlibatan semua pemangku kepentingan.Kesimpulannya, untuk mengatasi tumpang tindih aturan hukum, diperlukan upaya kolaboratif yang melibatkan berbagai lembaga dan pemangku kepentingan, serta pembenahan regulasi yang komprehensif. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam memahami kompleksitas penegakan hukum di wilayah laut dan menawarkan rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan efektivitas hukum maritim di Indonesia.

Abstract

This research is based on an incident that occurred on March 4 2021 at exactly 08:20 LT (Local Time) when the ship was docked at the port of Merauke, Papua, a theft occurred which resulted in the paint being in the bosun store as well as personal belongings belongings of the ship's crew were lost stolen. So the author raises the problem of how the guard service is carried out when the ship is docked at the port with the aim of knowing the implementation of the guard service on the John Lie Training Ship when the ship is docked at the port. The method used in this research is a qualitative method which produces descriptive data in the form of written words from people and observed behavior. The data source used is primary data obtained directly from the research site by making observations, which are related to the title of the thesis. The results of research and discussion of problems in this thesis show that the implementation of guard duty on the John Lie Training Ship has not been carried out optimally. This was due to a lack of understanding of responsibilities while carrying out guard duties while docked at the port and a lack of communication between the officer on duty and the crew on duty.

Abstract

Ships are vessels used for transporting passengers and goods across bodies of water, such as rivers and seas, using canoes or smaller boats. Fires on ships can occur due to various reasons, including interference with electrical and electronic equipment, as well as flammable liquids like gasoline, grease, and gas leaks. This study adopts a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing data collection methods such as direct field observation, in-depth interviews with involved parties, and documentation/library research. The research findings highlight two main points: 1) The factors leading to decreased functionality of fire alarm sensors are the lack of maintenance and repair of the system; and 2) A decreased fire alarm system may fail to detect fire or smoke in specific areas, potentially leading to accidents or severe damage to the ship.

Abstract

Diesel engines are machines that are very necessary in the industrial world, both manufacturing and transportation. How important is the existence of this diesel engine that it needs to be maintained properly to maintain its performance. With the development of diesel fuel variants, it is necessary to conduct research regarding the phenomena produced by burning biodiesel, especially the B35 type which is widely consumed in the industrial world. The aim of this research is to determine the performance of diesel engines, are specific fuel oil consumption and thermal efficiency produced by diesel engines using B35. The experimental method was applied by varying the load of 0.35 kW, 0.7 kW, 1.05 kW, 1.4 kW and 1.75 kW on an engine speed of 1500 RPM. The results show that the highest specific fuel oil consumption is at a load of 0.35 kW, that is 1361 mg/kWh, while the highest thermal efficiency at a load of 1.75 kW reaches 17.25%.
