Abstract

Pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak merupakan proses berkesinambungan dari kelahiran sampai dewasa. Pada 3 tahun pertama, merupakan golden period, sehingga perlu stimulasi seoptimal mungkin. Salah satunya, dengan memberikan stimulasi kecerdasan dengan brain gym. Brain gym merupakan kumpulan gerakan sederhana yang bertujuan menyatukan pikiran dan tubuh. Berdasarkan evidence based, stimulasi ini meningkatkan konsentrasi, koordinasi, memori, mengatasi stress, kemampuan komunikasi/bahasa, serta mengurangi hiperaktifitas. Oleh karena itu, salah satu tujuan pendidikan kesehatan ini adalah mengoptimalkan pengetahuan ibu balita tentang pengertian, manfaat dan langkah-langkah brain gym dengan metode demonstrasi dan media video. Pada kegiatan posyandu dan kelas balita di UPTD Puskesmas Mengwi I, Kabupaten Badung, Bali belum pernah dilakukan pendidikan kesehatan tentang brain gym, pelaksanaan edukasi dilakukan belum optimal menggunakan tekhnologi dan kurang melibatkan partisipasi aktif. Kegiatan pendidikan kesehatan yang telah dilakukan mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu balita tentang pengertian, manfaat dan cara melakukan brain gym.

Abstract

Prenatal health education for newborn care prepares parents to care for their future babies. The topic has been facilitated in pregnant women's classes, but its implementation has not optimally involved the role of husbands, lack of media use, and unidirectional learning methods. Efforts to overcome educational innovations in newborn care by involving husbands and facilitating media and interactive modules for newborn care. This media contains information on baby massage, how to bathe, and umbilical cord care, presented in pictures and text and equipped with videos. Audio-visual presentation of material can optimize learning objectives. The study analyzed differences in knowledge before and after prenatal education on newborn care with interactive media e-modules. This study was a pre-experimental numerical pair, with a sample of 30 pregnant women, based on purposive sampling. Data collection using questionnaires in the form of pretest and posttest. Data analysis with Wilcoxon (ρ=0.005). The results showed an increase in the median knowledge (pretest) from 54.17 to 75.00. Educational media E Interactive Module is effective for pregnant women's knowledge about newborn care (ρ=0.000). Health workers can optimize health education for newborn care by implementing classes for pregnant women that involve husbands and using interactive educational media. Recommendations for using media and interactive modules for sustainable newborn care are used in pregnant women's classes, especially in education about newborn care, so that pregnant women and husbands can independently practice their abilities in carrying out newborn care using the media guide. Pendidikan kesehatan prenatal perawatan bayi baru lahir, bertujuan  mempersiapkan orang tua merawat calon bayinya. Topik tersebut telah difasilitasi pada kelas ibu hamil, tetapi pelaksanaannya belum maksimal melibatkan peran suami, penggunaan media yang kurang serta metode pembelajaran  searah.. Upaya mengatasi dengan inovasi edukasi perawatan bayi baru lahir dengan melibatkan suami dan fasilitasi media e modul interaktif perawatan bayi baru lahir. Media ini berisikan informasi pijat bayi, cara memandikan dan perawatan tali pusat yang disajikan berbentuk gambar, teks serta dilengkapi video. Penyajian materi secara audio visual dapat mengoptimalkan tujuan pembelajaran. Penelitian menganalisis perbedaan pengetahuan sebelum dan setelah edukasi prenatal perawatan bayi baru lahir dengan media e modul interaktif. Penelitian ini merupakan pre eksperimental numerik berpasangan, dengan jumlah sampel 30 ibu hamil, berdasarkan purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner pengetahauan berupa pretest dan posttest. Analisis data dengan Wilcoxon (ρ=0.005). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan median pengetahuan (pretest) 54.17 menjadi 75.00. Media edukasi E Modul Interaktif efektif terhadap pengetahuan ibu hamil tentang perawatan bayi baru lahir (ρ=0.000). Pemberian pendidikan kesehatan perawatan bayi baru lahir oleh tenaga kesehatan dapat dioptimalkan pada pelaksanaan kelas ibu hamil dengan melibatkan suami serta menggunakan media edukasi yang interaktif. Rekomendasi penggunaan media e modul interaktif perawatan bayi baru lahir  secara berkelanjutan digunakan dalam kelas ibu hamil khususnya pada edukasi tentang perawatan bayi baru lahir, sehingga ibu hamil dan suami dapat secara mandiri melatih kemampuan mereka dalam melakukan perawatan bayi baru lahir dengan menggunakan panduan media tersebut.

Abstract

Birth weight is a crucial indicator of infant health, influencing survival and future growth and mental development. In 2020, 40 mothers (7.19%) experienced preeclampsia during childbirth. Among mothers giving birth, 216 (39%) were primiparous, 300 (54%) multiparous, and 40 (7.19%) grand multiparous. This study aimed to identify maternal factors associated with the prevalence of low birth weight (LBW) in hospitals. Utilizing a case-control research design, this quantitative study employed an observational analytical method. The sample consisted of 60 controls and 30 cases of LBW infants, randomly selected from mothers who delivered between January and December. Data were analyzed using bivariate chi-square tests.The analysis revealed a significant relationship between preeclampsia and LBW incidence, with a prevalence ratio (PR) of 2.667 (95% CI = 1.591-4.470). To mitigate LBW rates, the Indonesian Ministry of Health has established health check-up guidelines for pregnant women. This initiative aims to enhance hospital programs addressing factors that contribute to LBW. Additionally, variables such as parity, anemia, and nutritional status did not show a significant correlation with LBW incidence.In conclusion, while preeclampsia was significantly linked to LBW, other maternal factors such as parity and nutritional status require further investigation to understand their potential impacts on birth weight outcomes effectively. The findings underscore the importance of comprehensive maternal healthcare to improve neonatal health outcomes and reduce the prevalence of LBW in future pregnancies.
