Abstract

Feasibility of Integrated AKM Instrument for Problem Solving on Reaction Rate Factors. This study aims to produce an integrated Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) instrument for problem-solving skills in the sub-material of factors that influence reaction rate that are worthy of being reviewed in terms of validity and reliability.. The method used is development and validation. The participants involved were 4 lecturers and 1 teachers as validators and 35 grade XI students at one of Bandung's public high schools as respondents. The resulting product consists of 25 reading literacy questions and 5 numeracy literacy questions. The product is declared valid based on content validity, while empirically shows 20 valid questions and 10 invalid questions. All questions are declared reliable with details of reliability values for questions with a maximum score of 1 being 0.59, questions with a maximum score of 2 being 0.75, and for questions with a maximum score of 4 being 0.82.

Abstract

The development of assessment instruments that can measure reading literacy, numeracy literacy, and critical thinking skills is still a necessity in chemistry learning. This study aims to develop reading literacy and numeracy assessment instruments to measure critical thinking skills in the material of electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions. This study used a test design and development method based on the Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing. The instrument was validated by five experts and tested on 21 tenth-grade high school students. Data analysis included content validity (CVR), empirical validity (Pearson Product Moment), reliability (KR-20 and Cronbach's Alpha), difficulty level, and distinguishing power. The results showed excellent content validity, with CVR values of 0.992, 1.000, and 0.968, respectively. Of the 35 items, 23 (65.71%) were empirically valid. The reliability coefficients were 0.70 for multiple choice, 0.93 for essay, 0.72 for complex multiple choice – true/false, and 0.15 for matching. The difficulty level was dominated by the moderate category (57%). distinguishing power shows that 55% of the test items are in the fair to good category. Overall, the instrument met most of the quality criteria and showed potential for assessing reading comprehension, numeracy, and critical thinking skills, although further improvements were suggested.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to describe the compliance every stage of self-assessment implementation of upper secondary school students on the topic of salt hydrolysis formative test by using feedback instructions (clue), the ability of students to conduct self-assessment on the salt hydrolysis formative test by using feedback instructions, as well as the ability of self-assessment on the formative salt hydrolysis test to be used as feedback of upper secondary school students. This research was conducted by using a descriptive method that involved 27 eleventh graders who took the Science program. The research was conducted in six stages with different compliance in every stage. The compliance category of the students’ motivation and self-assessment training stage was good, the implementation stage of a formative test using feedback instructions (clue) was good, the implementation stage of self-assessment was very good, the stage of communicating the results for feedback (ideal criteria implemented) was very good, and the stage of utilizing the results was very good. In the implementation of self-assessment, most students could carry out self-assessment well. Besides, it has also known that students were satisfied with the feedback given by using the self-assessment rubric and they got benefits in the form of feedback clue from the self-assessment rubric. This result showed that self-assessment helped educators in providing feedback to the student.
