Abstract

Background, The annual rise in the nominal District/City Minimum Wage (UMK) is not accompanied by the adherence of Companies/Employers to fulfill their commitment to remunerate workers following the regulations. Labor Supervision, as the coordinator of oversight in the labor sector, encompasses coaching, inspection, testing, and investigation of labor offenses, playing a crucial role in addressing legal infractions related to the payment of wages below the District/City Minimum Wage (UMK). Aim, This study investigates the challenges encountered by Labor Supervision (WASNAKER) in addressing legal infractions concerning wage payments that fall below the district/city minimum wage (UMK). Methods, This article employs an empirical legal methodology utilizing a qualitative approach. Results, From this study, we found obstacles faced by the Cirebon Region III Manpower Supervision (WASNAKER) in handling legal violations against wage payments below the District/City Minimum Wage (UMK) by one of the Commanditaire Vennootschap (CV) in Cirebon Regency, including the Manpower Supervision which does not have executive power in carrying out its supervision activities and the absence of experts in the field of manpower who have certification at the Cirebon Region III Manpower Supervision. Conclusions, Efficient labor oversight is essential to guarantee the enforcement of regulations in compliance with the law. This oversight seeks to uphold labor standards via guidance, inspection, testing, and investigation of labor. However, in its implementation, supervision faces various obstacles, such as the lack of executive power in the supervision process and the absence of certified expert witnesses in the field of labor, as seen in Region III Cirebon. Implication, This study’s results highlight the importance of strengthening the oversight mechanism, including the provision of competent human resources, to ensure compliance with labor regulations and the protection of workers' rights.

Abstract

The rattan industry in Cirebon Regency routinely produces rattan designs every year, but legal protection for these designs is often ignored, especially regarding industrial design registration. The purpose of this study was to examine the legal awareness of industry players in registering their designs with the DJKI. This study uses a normative legal approach based on secondary and primary data to assess the legal awareness of industry players in registering designs with the Directorate General of Intellectual Property Rights. The results of the study show that the majority of industry players have not registered their industrial designs, while registration provides legal protection against imitation and increases product competitiveness through guarantees of design exclusivity for rights holders.

Abstract

The Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency has created a national priority program called the Accelerated Complete Systematic Land Registration (PTSL) as regulated in Ministerial Regulation ATR/BPN No. 6 of 2018. The PTSL program will be implemented throughout the Republic of Indonesia with the aim of accelerating the provision of legal certainty to all land rights holders, thereby helping to prevent land disputes in the community. The research contribution is the identification and analysis of the reasons why some members of the Mundu Pesisir Village community reject the PTFL-PM program. The study found that the response of the community to the program was very positive. However, there are internal family barriers to its implementation. Strategies of the Cirebon Regency Land Office and the Land Data Collector at the Land Office to Ensure the Proper Implementation of the Program are discussed.

Abstract

The issue of agricultural land conversion has become an increasingly pressing concern in Indonesia. Mixing land use for residential and agricultural purposes causes clogged irrigation canals due to trash dumping and sedimentation, affecting water flow and increasing pollution hazards. Impaired irrigation reduces agricultural productivity, leading to land conversion. This results in a cycle of malfunction in irrigation networks and land use. Law No. 17 of 2019 and Government Regulation No. 77 of 2001 emphasize farmers' major involvement in irrigation water management, yet many are unaware of their rights and obligations. One of the major challenges faced by farmers is the lack of knowledge about their rights and responsibilities as agricultural land managers in irrigated areas. The community service program intends to teach farmers in the Bengawan Solo Irrigation Area about their roles in irrigation management and spatial planning, thereby improving their legal knowledge and equipping them to effectively monitor their access to irrigation. The target participants for legal education on irrigation network management and spatial planning are farmers in the Bengawan Solo Irrigation Area, Jaten Subdistrict, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java. A half-day socialization and interactive workshop was held at the Jaten District Office, attended by 39 people consisting of 14 farmers, 17 P3A management personnel, and 6 village officials. The interactive sessions showed that farmers who do not know how to defend their irrigation management rights tend to shift to more economically profitable land uses, which disrupts irrigation networks and water reliability.

Abstract

The position of sitting not ergonomically forced like sitting cross-looking and sitting bent is one of the common causes of musculoskeletal disorders. This research was conducted to describe the ergonomic level design of studying learning tables used by the last step student of Anwarul Huda Islamic boarding school and the perceived complaint by showing which side of the table affects musculoskeletal disorders. The research method is descriptive with cross sectional design against 20 students of Islamic boarding school. The results obtained by the current diniyah table design are made by manufacturers who do not use anthropometric data in determining its size. Also found the most complaints for three consecutive days of data collection with the Nordic Body Map questionnaire which is on the skeletal part of the back, neck and buttocks. It was also found that none of the Islamic boarding school students were in the right sitting position, 30 percent of the sitting position was incorrect, 60 percent of the santri were in the wrong sitting position, and 10 percent of the santri in the sitting position were fatal. This can happen because in an ergonomic analysis using the mix match method the Islamic boarding school table design is all incompatible with the santri anthropometry, the Islamic boarding school table design is not ergonomic has a cause of the appearance of musculoskeletal disorders complaints by student Islamic boarding school.
