Abstract

This study investigates the influence of destination image and social media activities on tourists’ intention to visit through the mediating role of destination personality at Gunung Papandayan Nature Tourism Park. A quantitative explanatory approach was applied in this research. The study involved 200 respondents selected through purposive sampling, consisting of individuals who were familiar with or had received information about Gunung Papandayan from social media platforms. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) supported by SmartPLS software. The findings indicate that both destination image and social media activities have a positive and significant effect on destination personality. Furthermore, destination personality significantly enhances tourists’ intention to visit. In contrast, destination image and social media activities do not directly affect visit intention in a significant way. Mediation analysis reveals that destination personality acts as an intervening variable linking destination image and social media activities with tourists’ visit intention. These results suggest that establishing a strong destination personality can effectively strengthen tourists’ interest in visiting Gunung Papandayan Nature Tourism Park.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to explore the determinants of the attractiveness of the Situ Bagendit I tourist attraction by using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP). This research uses mixed methods, exploratory type. The survey was conducted by observing and interviewing informants to obtain primary data. Further data by distributing questionnaires and analyzing the data using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) technique. While secondary data or data obtained from articles, textbooks, research, online news, and articles on websites and other sources. Data analysis using Expert Choice technique based on Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and data verification using triangulation. The findings show that based on the results of the highest assessment criteria, namely ease of access (0.463), exciting attractions (0.398), and modern facilities (0.139). As an alternative factor, equestrian tourism (0.206) is an important part of the attraction of Situ Bagendit I attractions, while parks (0.196), tracking tours (0.188), amphitheater shows (0.153), children's playgrounds (0.133), and water tourism ( 0.124) becomes a supporting role in increasing the attractiveness of the Situ Bagendit I tourist attraction. Abstract

The demand for organic vegetables is continuously increasing to support healthy lifestyles that more people follow. Digital technology has facilitated this product marketing to serve a larger market, including agri-food marketing using social media that explicitly targets online communities. The growing participation in Community-Supported Agriculture (CSA) as an  agricultural product direct selling initiative in Indonesia highlights the necessity to examine how customer experience, knowledge, and involvement stimulate electronic word-of-mouth (E-WOM) as a powerful promotion tool that consists of peer opinions and experiences aiming to foster sustainable consumer engagement and market expansion. This study aims to determine the effect of customer experience, product knowledge, and customer involvement on E-WoM on organic vegetable customers at an urban CSA in Bandung City that sells organic vegetables. The research employed a quantitative method with the Structural Equation Model – Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). We sampled 60 respondents of the urban CSA customers. The results show that customer experience, product knowledge, and customer involvement significantly influence E-WoM. The research provides theoretical implications for consumer perceptions, engagement, and decision-making in shaping E-WoM impact, including practical implications on marketing organic products in online communities that support urban agricultural practices related to enhancing consumer trust, attracting new members, and promoting the sustainability of urban community-supported agriculture initiatives.

Abstract

In tourism-related retail, customer satisfaction is a critical determinant of business competitiveness and sustainability. Souvenir stores are particularly vulnerable to fluctuations in tourist arrivals, which may affect service quality during peak demand periods. This study examines the effect of service quality on customer satisfaction and investigates the mediating role of perceived value. The research was conducted at “S” Souvenir Store in Garut Regency, Indonesia, a tourist destination characterized by seasonal visitor fluctuations. An explanatory quantitative approach was employed, with data collected from 110 customers through a structured questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The results indicate that service quality has a significant positive effect on both perceived value and customer satisfaction. In addition, perceived value has a significant positive effect on customer satisfaction and partially mediates the relationship between service quality and customer satisfaction. These findings suggest that customer satisfaction is influenced not only by service performance but also by the perceived value derived from the exchange. Theoretically, this study contributes to tourism retail literature by positioning perceived value as a mediating mechanism in the relationship between service quality and customer satisfaction. Practically, souvenir retailers should focus not only on improving service delivery but also on enhancing customers’ perceived value to strengthen satisfaction outcomes.
