Abstract

Plants grown in pots continue to grow year after year. A flower pot support or flower pot stand is required to add aesthetic value and save space. The purpose of this research is to develop a steel rotary bending machine design for flower pot stand applications The method used is to calculate the rotational speed of the bending mall, design the transmission, calculate the power and capacity of the machine, calculate and analyze the frame strength, and produce machine design results. The design produces a mall bending rotation of 4.5 rpm with diameters of 100 mm, 120 mm, and 150 mm, an electric motor with a rotation speed of 2840 rpm and a power of 1 HP, 4 pulleys and 2 types A V-belts, a shaft diameter of 20 mm and a 6 x 6 mm key, UCP and UCF type bearings, conical gears with a reduction of 10:16, a gearbox with a reduction of 1:40. The required power is 146 watt (0,2 horsepower), and the engine capacity is 243 bends per hour. The engine frame has dimensions of 750 x 550 x 1000 mm and is made of AISI 1045 material. The highest stress that occurs in the frame is 45.55 N/mm2.

Abstract

PKM ini bermulai dari program Walikota Padang terkait Kampung Tematik. Salah satu kampung tematik itu adalah Kampung Tematik Eco Enzyme yang berada di Desa Andalas yang diselenggarakan oleh Bank Sampah Unit Andalas Sepakat. Pada Kampung Tematik Eco Enzyme ini terdapat pembudidayaan MAGOT yang berhubungan dengan pengolahan Eco Enzyme. Hal ini berkaitan erat dari sampah organik yang diolah untuk pembuatan Eco Enzyme nantinya akan digunakan sebagai pakan untuk pembudidayaan magot. Oleh karena itu tujuan dari PKM ini adalah sebagai bentuk peranan Perguruan Tinggi khususnya Politeknik Negeri Padang untuk membantu Kampung Tematik Eco Enzyme dalam mengoptimalkan pakan magot yang akan diberikan dengan menggunakan mesin pencacah sampah organik. Dalam pengoperasian mesin pencacah sampah organik ini menggunakan Standar Operasional (SOP) yang sudah diuji di labor Teknik Mesin Poltiteknik Negeri Padang, sehingga saat pengoperasian mesin tidak terjadi kesalahan baik secara teknis maupun personal. Diharapkan PKM ini dapat membantu masyarakat Kampung Tematik Eco Enzyme dalam mengoptimalkan hasil budidaya magot.

Abstract

Wind energy is a resource that is abundant, environmentally friendly, and renewable, therefore it has the potential to be developed. Savonius vertical axis type is suitable for application in low wind speed conditions. The Savonius wind turbine has good self-starting so that it is able to rotate the rotor even though the wind speed is low, besides that the torque it produces is relatively high. This study aims to determine how differences in OR affect the performance of Savonius turbines with an aspect ratio (AR) of 2. The experimental method was applied in this research to investigate the characteristic Cp of the model using the wind tunnel with different overlap ratios of 0.1, 0.15, 0.2, 0.25, and 0.3. The wind turbine model that has been made using a 3D printing process made of PLA + material. The results obtained in each OR test are the maximum Cp value for the variation OR 0.1, which is 0.121, OR 0.15, the maximum Cp value obtained is 0.213, OR 0.2, the maximum Cp value is 0.245, OR 0.25, the maximum Cp value is 0.224 and OR 0.3, the maximum Cp value is 0.210. Based on the five overlap variations, the maximum Cp ratio is obtained at OR = 0.2, namely Cp = 0.245 and TSR = 0.7. The OR value of 0.2 is able to maximize turbine power and minimize negative torque because the flow through the overlap area can maximally direct wind power to the maximum backward blade.

Abstract

Pemasaran digital merupakan metode pemasaran produk atau jasa menggunakan teknologi informasi. Metode ini diyakini dapat memperluas pangsa pasar, meningkatkan awareness dan meningkatkan penjualan. Oleh sebab itu pemahaman dan keterampilan memasarkan secara digital dilatihkan pada 20 (dua puluh) Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah (UMKM) yang tergabung dalam Wirausaha Baru Kota Cimahi. Pelatihan ini diberikan dengan metode tatap muka dan online. Pelatihan tatap muka dilaksanakan di Cimahi Techopark sedangkan pelatihan online melalui aplikasi zoom. Materi pelatihan yang bersifat teori meliputi: pemahaman tentang pemasaran konvensional dan digital; teknik bahasa iklan yang menarik. Materi lain yang diberikan adalah keterampilan memanfaatkan media social dan website sebagai media pemasaran digital, materi ini bersifat praktek. Dari kegiatan pelatihan yang dilakukan, peserta sudah dapat pemahaman pentingnya pemasaran digital bagi peningkatan kinerja usaha mereka dan peserta juga sudah mengetahui bagaimana membuat iklan dengan bahasa yang tepat dan menarik. Hasil lainnya adalah peserta sudah mengetahui bagaimana memanfaatkan social media sebagai sarana media pemasaran digital dan salah satu peserta dibuatkan website percontohan.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the market potential and business opportunities for wall decorations made of metal with CNC laser in the industry by determining the market size, evaluating competition, determining product trends, and identifying business opportunities. The quality management method of Deming's Wheel or PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) is used to analyze the market potential and competition of metal wall decoration products in various marketplaces. The research results show that Shopee is the e-commerce platform that sells the most metal wall decorations in Indonesia. The sales of metal wall decorations on Shopee reached 17,830 units, followed by Lazada with 2,794 units and Tokopedia with 789 units. The most popular motif or design among consumers is the leaf motif, with a total sales of 14,600 units on Shopee. The average monthly sales on Shopee are quite high, where store A is able to sell 160 units of wall decoration. The factors that influence high sales are quick chat replies, high ratings, positive testimonials from customers, and having their own online store website. Having their own online store provides advantages for store owners, such as advertising.

Abstract

Nagari Salo is one of the villages in the Baso sub-district, Agam Regency. In preparing the Medium Term Development Plan (RPJM) for the Nagari, a website was created to make it easier for administrative services, to inform the activities, potential of the Nagari and the achievements of the Nagari Salo. This service activity aims to provide solutions to these problems, namely by building a village profile website and a village information system website to assist technology-based village services. To achieve the expected goals, this service is carried out in 5 stages, namely situation analysis, problem identification, determining the objectives and benefits of activities, problem solving plans and implementations, and website governance training so that the users are maximized. In addition, the team also facilitated building a Nagari online store website to help promote MSMEs in the Nagari. So that this service does not only help the nagari facilities in improving services to the community, it also improves the quality of human resources in managing the nagari towards a digital village.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the mechanical properties of nickel-based superalloys with variations in alloy chemical compositions using the Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) method with the assistance of the pandas profiling library on Google Colab. In this study, data from 312 tensile tests of nickel-based superalloys were used as research samples, with alloy chemical compositions including carbon (C), manganese (Mn), silicon (Si), chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), molybdenum (Mo), vanadium (V), nitrogen (N), niobium (Nb), cobalt (Co), tungsten (W), aluminum (Al), and titanium (Ti), as well as mechanical properties such as yield strength (YS), tensile strength (TS), and elongation (EL). The methodology used in this study was the EDA method with the assistance of the pandas profiling library on Google Colab, which enables the automatic creation of a dataset report, presenting information on various aspects such as data structure, descriptive statistics, correlation, distribution, and missing values. The results show that yield strength has a fairly high correlation with titanium (0.51), medium correlations with nickel (0.25), vanadium (0.2), and cobalt (0.2). Tensile strength in nickel-based superalloys has a fairly high correlation with yield strength (0.88), carbon (0.49), and cobalt (0.55), and medium correlations with titanium (0.25) and vanadium (0.25). Elongation in nickel-based superalloys has a negative and fairly high correlation with tensile strength (-0.62) and yield strength (-0.58). Some warnings for missing data and zero values in some variables were identified. These results indicate that the pandas profiling library can be used as a tool to analyze the data of mechanical properties of nickel-based superalloys quickly and easily, and provide clear information on data patterns, data structure, and correlation among data.

Abstract

Almost all activities are carried out with the help of technology. It is as if technology has become a basic need for human life today. Of all the areas that have made progress, machinery is the one that has had the greatest effect. Lots of machines have emerged with new innovations with very diverse functions, one of which is the Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine. A CNC machine is a machine used in the manufacturing industry to quickly produce large quantities of components for the engineering sector. As the name of the CNC itself, every work from CNC uses a computer system that has been well formed to produce goods that are in accordance with what is desired. Departing from some of the problems above, the author concluded to make a similar technology at a much cheaper price with a more practical work system, therefore the author made a 3 Axis Acrylic Cutting CNC Machine Using a CO2 Laser Tube".

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to design a web-based machine learning model that can predict the mechanical properties of aluminum based on its chemical composition. By inputting nine variables of chemical elements such as Al, Mg, Zn, Ti, Cu, Mn, Cr, Fe, and Si, the model is able to provide predictions for two output data, Yield Strength (YS) and Tensile Strength (TS). The research aims to understand the relationship between chemical composition and mechanical properties of aluminum, and to develop a tool that can be used to predict these properties with a high level of accuracy. Overall, the goal of this study is to enhance the understanding of the properties of aluminum and how it can be utilized in various applications. This study designs a web-based machine learning modeling to predict the mechanical properties of aluminum in the percentage of chemical composition, where the input data in the modeling consists of 9 variables of chemical elements such as Al, Mg, Zn, Ti, Cu, Mn, Cr, Fe, Si, and has 2 output data consisting of Yield Strength (YS) and Tensile Strength (TS). The modeling machine learning is designed using the Python programming language and additional libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn, and Streamlit. The modeling in this study uses three algorithms consisting of Decision Trees (DT), Random Forest (RF), and Artificial Neural Network (ANN). Each algorithm is optimized with the best search parameters, and where the RF algorithm has better performance than DT and JST. The best modeling uses the RF algorithm with optimal parameters of number of trees at 20 and maximum depth of 10, with MAE values of 11.44, RMSE of 14.282, and R of 0.93 for Yield Strength (YS) predictions, and for Tensile Strength (TS) predictions, MAE values are obtained. 21,669, RMSE 27,301, and R 0.871.
