Abstract

This article presents a community service initiative aimed at enhancing the financial literacy and entrepreneurial skills of Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia, contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of No Poverty (SDG 1) and Quality Education (SDG 4). Migrant workers often face significant barriers, including limited financial literacy and access to entrepreneurial opportunities, which hinder their socioeconomic advancement. The initiative, executed through a webinar titled "Unlocking Success: Financial Literacy & Entrepreneurial Empowerment", provided essential knowledge on personal financial management, entrepreneurial opportunities, and personal branding. The webinar featured expert speakers from Universiti Teknologi Mara Malaysia and Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ). The initiative underscores the importance of targeted interventions to empower migrant workers, enabling them to overcome socioeconomic challenges and contribute to sustainable development

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of Return on Assets (ROA), Price to Earning Ratio (PER), and Price to Book Value (PBV) on stock returns, with Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) as a moderating variable in infrastructure sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during 2017–2022. The research aims to understand the factors influencing stock returns and the role of external factors, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, in these relationships.Using secondary data from financial reports of 54 companies with a total of 295 observations, the study employs unbalanced panel data regression analyzed using STATA. The results show that ROA and PER do not significantly affect stock returns. PBV significantly influences stock returns during the combined period (2017–2022) but not in separate periods before and during the pandemic. DPR significantly affects stock returns but does not moderate the relationships between ROA and PER with stock returns. Interestingly, DPR strengthens the relationship between PBV and stock returns only before the COVID-19 pandemic. These findings indicate that PBV and DPR can influence stock returns, although their impact varies across economic periods. This study provides important insights for designing adaptive investment strategies and dividend policies based on market conditions.

Abstract

The purpose of this descriptive study is to identify the variables that affect a consumer's inclination to purchase eco-friendly personal care items: attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, with the moderating variable price sensitivity. Primary data was gathered using a standardized questionnaire and disseminated as part of this quantitative study design to 322 respondents in Jakarta, Indonesia. The findings show that attitudes and subjective norms influence green purchase intention positively, while perceived control of behavior did not relate significantly. Further, it was observed that price sensitivity weakened the strength of relationships among attitude, subjective norms, and purchase intention. These results highlight both personal and social factors associated with sustainable consumption, but price sensitivity acts as the main barrier to eco-friendly purchasing decisions. In addition to offering insightful information for marketers and regulators looking to encourage consumers to make more sustainable decisions, this study deepens our understanding of consumer behavior in the beauty and personal care industry.
