Abstract

The research is motivated by the need to gain a deeper understanding of students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities, particularly in algebra, and to identify and address the productive struggles the encounter while solving problems. This research aims to analyze students' mathematical problem-solving abilities in solving algebra problems and identify students' productive struggles in solving these problems. This research was carried out using a qualitative approach with descriptive methods and instruments used in this research are problem solving ability tests, questionnaires that have been validated by education experts, and interview guides. Researchers selected students based on their level of productive struggle, namely high, medium, and low. The result revealed that students who have high productive struggle can answer the three questions correctly according to the problem-solving stages, starting from the understanding stage, transformation stage, process skills stage, and conclusion stage. Students who have moderate productive fighting power can answer the three questions only up to the understanding and transformation stage. At the process skills stage, students show errors in calculating and need teacher motivation to continue their struggle in solving mathematical problems. Students who have low productive fighting power can answer questions only up to the understanding stage, limited to writing back what they know and ask. In this category, students need intervention assistance from researchers to encourage their productive struggles. This assistance does not eliminate students' opportunities to think actively, on the contrary, through this method students are required to interpret their knowledge.

Abstract

The NHT (Numbered Head Together) learning model is one of the many cooperative learning models. The purpose of this study is to increase students' interest in learning through the application of the NHT learning model in the classroom. This study uses the Collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) method. The location of the study was carried out at SDN 037 Sabang, Bandung City with the research subjects being 30 class IV-B students. This collaborative classroom action research was carried out in two learning cycles. The data collection techniques used were observation and learning interest questionnaires according to four indicators of learning interest, such as feelings of pleasure, interest, attention, and student involvement. Based on the results of the collaborative classroom action study, there was a significant increase in learning interest after the implementation of the NHT learning model in the classroom. In cycle I, it reached 13 aspects, while in cycle II it increased to 15 aspects which were summarized in 4 indicators of learning interest. Thus, the application of the NHT learning model has proven effective in increasing the learning interest of class IV students. The application of the NHT learning model is one of the real actions of improvement in the learning process, so that changes and improvements need to continue to be made in order to increase students' interest in learning so that it has an impact on their learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya aktivitas hasil belajar Peserta didik pada kelas V mata pelajaran IPAS materi kestabilan suatu ekosistem. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kurangnya penerapan model pembelajaran selama proses belajar mengajar. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini menerapkan model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur peningkatan aktivitas hasil belajar Peserta didik kelas I pada kelas V mata pelajaran IPAS materi kestabilan suatu ekosistem. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan desain Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart, yang mengikuti sistem spiral empat langkah: merencanakan, bertindak, mengamati, dan merefleksikan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Peserta didik kelas V SDN 128 Haurpancuh Kota Bandung. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas belajar Peserta didik meningkat di setiap siklus. Data awal aktivitas belajar Peserta didik tercatat sebesar 54,4%, meningkat menjadi 65% pada siklus I dan 86,4% pada siklus II. Berdasarkan data tersebut, penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan aktivitas belajar Peserta didik kelas V pada mata pelajaran IPAS materi kestabilan suatu ekosistem tahun ajaran 2024/2025.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh masih terbatasnya kajian yang fokus pada hubungan self-efficacy dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa di sekolah dasar, padahal kajian ini memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap proses pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan hubungan antara self-efficacy dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa fase C sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif jenis korelasi dengan desain ex-post facto. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 32 siswa kelas V di salah satu sekolah di kabupaten Garut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara self-efficacy dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa fase C sekolah dasar yang didukung dengan hasil uji korelasi yang memperoleh nilai sig. < 0,05 pada koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,674 menunjukan bahwa hubungan tersebut berada pada kategori kuat. Selain itu, diperoleh nilai t hitung (4,995) > t tabel (2,042) yang berarti Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima dengan uji koefisien determinasi sebesar 43.6%.

Abstract

Dalam pembelajaran matematika salah satu kemampuan matematis yang harus siswa kuasai adalah pemahaman konsep matematis. Pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang rendah dikarenakan kurangnya model pembelajaran yang sesuai untuk melibatkan peserta didik secara aktif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas model guided discovery learning dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep materi bangun ruang pada siswa fase c sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu pre-eksperimental dengan one group pretest-posttest design, dengan subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa fase C kelas V di salah satu sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Kebon Jeruk, Kota Jakarta Barat. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berdasarkan indikator pemahaman konsep matematis. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji paired sample t-test, dan uji perbedaan terhadap skor N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata yang diperoleh siswa saat prettest sebesar 51,5, dan rata-rata saat posttest sebesar 83,83. Perbedaan rata-rata yang signifikan berdasarkan hasil uji paired sample t-test sebesar 0,000 < α (0,05). Peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa dibuktikan berdasarkan hasil uji perbedaan terhadap skor N-Gain dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 69,37%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model guided discovery learning dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa karena termasuk kedalam kategori cukup efektif.

Abstract

This study aims to develop teaching materials to improve students’ conceptual understanding of fractions. The research employed a Design and Development method using the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data obtained were both qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative data were collected from expert validators’ suggestions, while quantitative data were derived from validators’ assessments and student test results. The research subjects were 17 fourth-grade elementary school students in Bandung. The findings revealed that the teaching material RIHAN achieved a feasibility score of 90.3% from material, language, and design experts, and 92.5% from teacher practitioners, categorized as highly feasible. Furthermore, the effectiveness test showed an N-gain score of 0.533 (moderate category), indicating an improvement in students’ conceptual understanding. Therefore, the RIHAN teaching material is considered feasible and effective for enhancing elementary school students’ conceptual understanding of fractions.

Abstract

Kemampuan computational thinking merupakan salah satu kemampuan yang relevan dan dibutuhkan pada era abad ke-21. Namun, siswa sekolah dasar masih banyak yang kurang dalam kemampuan ini karena mereka tidak dibiasakan untuk melatih kemampuan computational thinking ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan suatu media permainan edukasi digital “ANCEKO” sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan computational thinking siswa sekolah dasar fase B pada mata pelajaran Matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Design and Development (D&D) dengan prosedur penelitian ADDIE dengan tahapan Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Penelitian ini berfokus untuk mengembangkan media “ANCEKO” yang merupakan suatu permainan edukasi digital yang terdiri dari permainan dan video pembelajaran sesuai dengan indicator computational thinking. Kelayakan produk dinilai melalui angket yang diberikan kepada validator ahli materi, media, dan pembelajaran. Hasil angket menunjukkan bahwa media ini termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak pada aspek materi, media, dan pembelajaran serta sesuai untuk digunakan pada pembelajaran di kelas. Kemampuan computational thinking siswa juga mengalami peningkatan setelah menggunakan media ANCEKO ini.

Abstract

Pemahaman konsep matematika merupakan dasar penting bagi peserta didik untuk mempelajari materi yang lebih kompleks. Namun, banyak peserta didik masih mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami operasi hitung pengurangan bilangan cacah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan multimedia yang dapat melatih pemahaman konsep peserta didik fase B sekolah dasar pada materi pengurangan bilangan cacah sampai 1.000. Metode penelitian ini yaitu Design & Development dengan model ADDIE yaitu analyze, design, development, implementation, evaluation. Multimedia Warungku dinilai melalui validasi kepada ahli materi, media, dan pembelajaran. Hasil angket menunjukkan bahwa multimedia ini termasuk kategori baik pada aspek materi serta sangat baik pada aspek media dan pembelajaran. Rata-rata skor N-Gain peserta didik yang diperoleh sebesar 0,80 dengan kategori tinggi setelah menggunakan multimedia Warungku. Simpulan penelitian ini bahwa multimedia Warungku mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep operasi hitung pengurangan sampai 1.000 pada peserta didik fase B.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of students' conceptual understanding of cultural diversity. The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of KIRANA media in improving students' conceptual understanding of cultural diversity in fourth grade elementary school. One of the reasons for this is the lack of use of learning media that explores students' conceptual understanding. In IPAS learning, the research method used was pre-experimental with a one-group pre-test post-test design. The population in this study was fourth-grade elementary school students in Japara District. The sample in this study was 26 fourth-grade students from one public elementary school in Japara District. The instruments used were pre-test and post-test instruments in the form of 8 essay questions based on indicators of conceptual understanding of cultural diversity material. Data analysis used a mean difference test to assess the effectiveness of the KIRANA media. Based on the mean difference test, significant results were obtained, leading to the acceptance of H₁, indicating a significant difference. Additionally, the improvement in conceptual understanding of cultural diversity material through the KIRANA media was proven by the N-Gain test results, which fell into the high category, and the effectiveness level was in the moderately effective category. Thus, the KIRANA media was proven to be moderately effective in enhancing students' conceptual understanding.
