Abstract

Waste banks are important for sustainable waste management as they allow people to trade their waste for money or useful items, reducing pollution and increasing awareness about recycling and waste management. Simbur Naik Village was selected as a service location due to its potential for receiving waste from other areas and the low public awareness about environmental protection. The village government collaborated with Universitas Jambi and TPBIS Omah Sinau Jambi to establish the waste bank. The service involved initial education and discussions to raise community awareness about the environment, followed by assistance in establishing the waste bank through cooperation agreements and memorandums of understanding. The evaluation of the service showed that village officials and participants fully supported the discussion process and the formation of the waste bank. The goal is to create a clean, healthy environment and manage waste wisely.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the constellation of implementation of Child Protection Policy in Jambi City. The theory of policy implementation by Merilee S. Grendle and the theory of preventive and repressive social control (social control) underlies this research. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method that is empirical. Data processing techniques used by the author through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the escalation of violence against children in Jambi has increased, especially neglect and physical violence. This is evidenced by an increase in cases from 2016 to 2018 reaching 52 cases. This case is dominated by triggers of financial problems and emotional disturbances. The implementation of child protection policies in Jambi City has been contained in the Jambi City Regional Regulation Number 05 of 2017, forming an integrative task force for the Jambi City child social welfare program.

Abstract

With significant coal resource potential, Jambi Province faces serious challenges in the mobilization of coal transportation, a crucial element in the energy industry supply chain. This research examines the complexity problems arising from coal mobilization activities in Jambi Province and their social and environmental impacts. The research employs a qualitative method, utilizing documentation from online news sources and official government documents, including regional regulations. Data analysis is conducted using Nvivo 12 Plus. The findings reveal mismatch between licensing and regulations, leading to severe traffic disruptions. The sustainability of mining activities is faces significant challenges that require holistic solutions. Strategic policy recommendations include thorough audits of industry regulations, strengthening law enforcement, and promoting economic diversification. Other solutions involve more efficient traffic management, such as constructing dedicated lanes to alleviate pressure on general traffic. This research also highlights the importance of open and inclusive dialogue among all relevant stakeholders, with the government playing a key mediating role. Achieving balanced economic, social, and environmental sustainability in Jambi Province requires cross-sector collaboration and the active participation from all stakeholders.

Abstract

This study examines the digital inclusion and non-discriminatory public services provided by the Jambi City Government, with a specific focus on vulnerable groups, including individuals with disabilities, the elderly, and low-income populations. While digital transformation has improved accessibility and efficiency, systemic barriers such as limited digital literacy, inadequate infrastructure, and affordability challenges persist, leading to disparities in service utilization. Through a qualitative analysis using secondary data and Nvivo 12Plus, this research identifies key indicators influencing digital inclusion, including accessibility, digital literacy, privacy, and security, while highlighting affordability and public digital service usage as critical areas for improvement. The findings emphasize the importance of a multidimensional approach involving policy interventions, technological advancements, and community engagement to enhance digital equity. By addressing these challenges, Jambi City can foster a more inclusive digital governance model that ensures equitable access to public services for all citizens.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis persoalan keterwakilan perempuan dalam pemilihan anggota DPRD Kabupaten Dairi periode 2019-2024. Metode pendekatan kualitatif yang disajikan dalam bentuk deskriptif, yaitu metode yang memberikan gambaran secara jelas dan sistematis terhadap suatu masalah. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman, yaitu teknik yang disajikan dalam bentuk reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterwakilan perempuan dalam pemilihan anggota DPRD Kabupaten Dairi periode 2019-2024 menunjukkan persentase di bawah 30% dikarenakan budaya patriarki yang masih melekat di masyarakat sehingga hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan politik lebih identik dengan laki-laki. Beberapa faktor menunjukkan bahwa rendahnya kesadaran perempuan di Kabupaten Dairi dan minimnya pengaruh politik membuat perempuan sulit untuk bersaing dan berkontribusi dengan laki-laki.Kata kunci: Partai Politik, Anggota DPRD Kabupaten, Keterwakilan Perempuan

Abstract

Sungai Batang Hari memainkan peran penting sebagai jalur transportasi, khususnya untuk angkutan batu bara menggunakan kapal kongkang. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi efektivitas transportasi batu bara menggunakan kapal kongkang dengan pendekatan keberlanjutan, serta menilai persepsi masyarakat terhadap kebijakan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode campuran, yang menggabungkan teknik kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh melalui survei dengan 100 sampel yang dipilih berdasarkan teknik pengambilan sampel acak bertingkat, memastikan keterwakilan dari berbagai kelompok masyarakat sepanjang jalur sungai. Data survei dianalisis menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) untuk memodelkan hubungan antara faktor tata kelola, ekonomi, sosial, dan lingkungan yang mempengaruhi efektivitas transportasi. Data kualitatif diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan 20 pemangku kepentingan dan Diskusi Kelompok Terfokus (FGD) yang melibatkan 30 peserta, yang dipilih berdasarkan keterlibatan langsung atau pengalaman mereka dengan angkutan batu bara. Data dari wawancara dan FGD dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola dan wawasan utama terkait dampak yang dirasakan dari sistem transportasi tersebut. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aspek tata kelola dan hukum memiliki pengaruh terbesar terhadap efektivitas transportasi, diikuti oleh faktor ekonomi, sosial, dan lingkungan. Regulasi yang jelas dan pengawasan yang ketat sangat penting untuk kelancaran operasional transportasi, namun tantangan seperti polusi air, erosi tepi sungai, dan konflik kepentingan masih ada.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality of licensing and non-licensing services through the SICANTIK Cloud application at DPMPTSPKUKM Tebo Regency. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach by referring to the Zeithml, Parasuraman & Barry service theory which includes five dimensions: physical evidence, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The results showed that the implementation of the SICANTIK Cloud application as a breakthrough to simplify the licensing process has gone well, but the dimensions of physical evidence and reliability are still not optimal in facilitating community service, while the dimensions of responsiveness, assurance, and empathy have shown good performance even though they have not reached the maximum level.

Abstract

Abstrak Remaja merupakan generasi penerus bangsa yang diharapkan mampu melanjutkan pembangunan nasional secara berkelanjutan. Salah satu tantangan yang dihadapi remaja saat ini adalah minimnya pemahaman tentang kesehatan reproduksi, yang menyebabkan tingginya angka perilaku berisiko seperti pergaulan bebas, aborsi ilegal, serta penyalahgunaan informasi seksual dari media digital. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan sebagai upaya promotif dan preventif melalui sosialisasi serta penyuluhan hukum kepada siswa-siswi SMAN 2 Sengeti, Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Tujuannya adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman yang komprehensif mengenai hak-hak kesehatan reproduksi remaja dan konsekuensi hukum atas pelanggarannya. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pendekatan partisipatif dengan pola Participatory Action Research (PAR) dan Mixed Methods Sequential Exploratory, meliputi tahapan penjajakan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa terhadap isu kesehatan reproduksi, partisipasi aktif selama diskusi, serta tumbuhnya kesadaran kolektif untuk menjadi agen perubahan di lingkungan sekolah. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat mendorong terbentuknya remaja yang sehat secara fisik, mental, dan sosial serta bertanggung jawab dalam menjaga hak dan kesehatan reproduksinya. Abstract Adolescents are the future generation of the nation, expected to continue national development in a sustainable manner. One of the challenges faced by adolescents today is a lack of understanding about reproductive health, leading to high rates of risky behavior such as casual sex, illegal abortion, and misuse of sexual information from digital media. This community service activity was conducted as a promotional and preventive effort through socialization and legal education for students at SMAN 2 Sengeti, Muaro Jambi Regency. The aim was to provide a comprehensive understanding of teenagers' reproductive health rights and the legal consequences of violating them. The methods used in this activity were a participatory approach using Participatory Action Research (PAR) and Mixed Methods Sequential Exploratory, including the stages of exploration, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the activity showed an increase in students' understanding of reproductive health issues, active participation during discussions, and the growth of collective awareness to become agents of change within the school environment. Thus, this activity is expected to encourage the development of adolescents who are physically, mentally, and socially healthy and responsible in safeguarding their reproductive rights and health.

Abstract

Bantuan sosial beras Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) yang dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Jambi Timur pada masa pandemi covid-19 merupakan program yang dirancang pemerintah dengan tujuan mengurangi beban masyarakat dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pangan sehari-hari. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pemenuhan prinsip 3T (Tepat waktu, Tepat sasaran dan Tepat jumlah) pelaksanaan kebijakan bantuan sosial beras PKH di Kecamatan Jambi Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan tipe deskriptif. Informan berjumlah 15 orang yang diantaranya berasal dari Keluarga Penerima Manfaat (KPM) Kecamatan Jambi Timur, Dinas Sosial, Perum Bulog, PT. Bhanda Ghara Rexa dan Pendamping PKH Kecamatan Jambi Timur. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan kebijakan bantuan sosial beras PKH pada masa covid-19 di Kecamatan Jambi Timur belum semua sesuai dengan prinsip 3T. Berdasarkan analisis kondisi lingkungan, hubungan antar organisai, kuantitas dan kualitas sumber daya Implementor, serta karakteristik dan kemampuan agen pelaksana, menunjukkan hambatan pada sumber daya implementor sehingga berdampak pada komunikasi dan kemampuan agen pelaksana dalam penyaluran batuan sosial beras program keluarga harapan di Kecamatan Jambi Timur.

Abstract

Government plays an important role in creating an environment that supports the development of creative skills for mental patients, which contributes to increased sense of empowerment, better self-confidence, and positive social interaction. This study analyzes how this collaboration between stakeholders empowers mental patients in the form of creativity skills in Indonesia. This research uses a qualitative approach The source of this research data is Online news media. Data is obtained using the N capture feature on Nvivo 12 plus where the N capture feature is a web browser extension developed to capture web content in the form of website content, social media, and other document content such as scientific articles. The results showed that the government has an important role in the implementation of empowerment, which is as much as 42.39%, then mental hospitals contribute as much as 33.77%, and finally creative industry players who conduct skills training as much as 24.83%. From this data, it shows that these three related elements have provided real implementation for mental patients so that justice and patient rights can be fulfilled. The skills provided consist of Visual Arts, Music and Music Therapy, Creative Writing, Garden and Landscaping, Handicrafts.
