Abstract

Asap cair adalah hasil destilasi atau pengembunan dari uap hasil pembakaran langsung yang mengandung lignin, selulosa, hemiselulosa, dan senyawa karbon lainnya. Asap cair yang terbuat dari tempurung kelapa biasanya digunakan dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan sel tumbuhan termasuk mikroalga salah satunya Chlorella sp. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh asap cair tempurung kelapa dengan dosis berbeda terhadap kepadatan dan biomassa Chlorella sp. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan sistem Rancangan Acak Lengap dan dianalisis menggunakan One Way ANOVA. Perlakuan terdiri dari 3 dosis asap cair tempurung kelapa berbeda yaitu dengan pemberian dosis A (1 mL), B (2 mL), dan C (3 mL). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa perlakuan kontrol memiliki kepadatan tertinggi dibanding perlakuan A, B dan C, dengan yaitu 4.381 x 104 sel/mL. Kepadatan terendah didapat pada perlakuan A (1 mL) yaitu 2.970 x 104 sel/mL, kemudian perlakuan B (2 mL) 4.158 x 104 sel/mL dan perlakuan C (3 mL) yaitu 3.513 x 104 sel/mL. Suhu rata-rata berkisar antara 25-26ºC, pH rata-rata berkisar antara 5-8 dan intensitas cahaya berkisar antara 5000-6000 Lux. Hasil biomassa menunjukkan bahwa biomassa tertinggi yaitu kontrol dengan hasil 2,13 g/L. Hasil analisis diperoleh bahwa tidak ada pengaruh yang signifikan (P>0,05) dari pemberian asap cair tempurung kelapa, dan asap cair tempurung kelapa kurang efektif dalam meningkatkan kepadatan sel Chlorella sp.

Abstract

Empowerment for Riau University students and graduates who already own small enterprises (UMK) or who do not yet own them can help a country's economy by boosting its overall prosperity. The location of service activities with this entrepreneurship development scheme in 2022 is on Jl. Merak Sakti Gang Hijrah Panam Pekanbaru City. The method of implementing community service activities with the Entrepreneurship Development Program Scheme is carried out in the form of socialization. The target of community service activities with the entrepreneurship development scheme was the general public, 25 students of the Faculty of Fisheries and Maritime Affairs, University of Riau (UNRI). In this activity, pre-test and post-test were carried out to see the achievement of activities. After the implementation of this activity, it was found that the service activities with this entrepreneurship scheme had been carried out with the target group of 25 alumni and students of the University of Riau with a level of knowledge and understanding reaching 97%. The activity concludes that SAJAG production is feasible to be carried out as Micro Small Business Empowerment (UMK).

Abstract

Lake Bokuok is an oxbow lake located in Aursati Village, Tambang District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. This lake has undergone changes due to human activities, affecting the existence of aquatic organisms, including plants and fish. This study aims to determine the relationship between aquatic plants and fish in Lake Bokuok. Data collection was carried out in February-March 2025 using a survey method. Aquatic plant samples were collected once for species identification and four times for density calculations, while fish samples were collected four times for fish count calculations. The study results showed differences in aquatic plant density and total fish numbers across the three stations. Among the three stations, four aquatic plant species and four fish species were identified. Station III had the highest aquatic plant density and relative density (57.32 Ind/m²), which also correlated with the highest fish count (59 individuals). Conversely, Station II had the lowest aquatic plant density (25.08 Ind/m²) and the fewest fish (33 individuals). Statistical analysis showed a positive correlation between aquatic plant density and fish abundance, though the relationship was not statistically significant. Water quality in the lake is still considered suitable for supporting aquatic organisms. This study provides an initial overview of the role of aquatic plants in supporting fish life in natural lakes. These results are significant as a basis for water management and the development of sustainable conservation policies to maintain the ecological balance of Lake Bokuok

Abstract

Ikan baung (Hemibagrus nemurus) merupakan salah satu ikan air tawar unggulan yang banyak digemari masyarakat karena rasanya yang gurih, kandungan protein tinggi, dan nilai ekonominya yang baik. Namun, dalam kegiatan pembenihan sering dijumpai kendala pada tahap larva, yaitu pertumbuhan yang lambat dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup yang rendah. Metode budidaya ikan baung untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan survival larva dapat dilakukan melalui perendaman larva menggunakan probiotik. Probiotik dipilih karena mudah diaplikasikan, ramah lingkungan, dan mengandung mikroorganisme yang berfungsi memperbaiki sistem pencernaan serta meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh larva. Penerapan teknologi perendaman probiotik menghasilkan pertumbuhan larva yang lebih cepat, tingkat kelulushidupan lebih tinggi, serta benih yang lebih sehat dibandingkan dengan larva tanpa perlakuan.
