Abstract

The objectives of this research are (1) to describe the need for thematic digital teaching materials based on character education, (2) to describe the results of the validity of lesson plan products and digital teaching materials by expert judgment and stakeholders, (3) to describe the results of effectiveness tests of thematic digital teaching materials based on character education . This research is qualitative and quantitative research using the development method or Research and Development (R&D). The instruments used were interviews, observation and document analysis. The research subjects were sixth grade students at SD Negeri Kemadang Tanjungsari, SD Negeri Rejosari Tanjungsari, and SD Muhammadiyah Kemadang Tanjungsari. This research methodology is based on the Borg & Gall development model (simplification of Sukmadinata). The development procedure used in this research consists of 3 stages, namely: (1) preliminary study, (2) model development, and (3) model testing. The results of this research are (1) Based on the results of interviews with students and teachers, observations and document analysis, it shows that digital teaching materials are really needed for effective and interesting learning (2) it produces 2 products, namely lesson plans and thematic teaching materials based on character education which have been validated by 1 expert judgment person and 2 stakeholders. (3) The final product of digital teaching materials is declared suitable for use.

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to: (1) describe the analysis of the digital teaching materials needed in Tri-N teaching-based learning to develop English language proficiency in elementary schools; (2) describe the feasibility of digital teaching materials based on Tri-N teachings from experts and stakeholders; and (3) describe digital teaching materials based on Tri-N teachings that are efficient for improving elementary students' English competence. A new English learning tool and instructional materials were developed as part of this study. The development approach, often known as research and development (R&D), is being used in this qualitative and quantitative research. Interviews, questionnaires, and observation were the tools employed. Students in grades 5 at SDN Planjan II, SDN Planjan 1, and SDN Monggol served as the research subjects. The development model of Borg & Gall (2003: 775) served as the foundation for the research methods. The study's development process was divided into 10 stages, including research and data gathering, planning, development of the initial form of the product, initial field trials, product revision, field trials, operational product revisions, operational field trials, final product revisions, and dissemination. The results of this research show (1) an analysis of the need for digital teaching materials in Tri-N teaching-based learning to develop English language competence in elementary schools is very necessary. (2) RPP and digital supplementary teaching materials based on Tri-N teachings to be used as teaching materials for extracurricular English activities in elementary schools are feasible based on validation results by 1 expert and 2 stakeholders. The average score obtained was a percentage of 88.6% from expert validation which was categorized as "Very Eligible" and a percentage of 90.36% from stakeholder validation which was categorized as "Very Eligible". (3) The final product of digital teaching materials is declared suitable for use with a sig value. (2 tailed) is <0.05, then Ho1 is rejected and Ha1 is accepted so that there is a significant influence of the use of digital teaching materials on learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran berdiferensiasi yang diterapkan pada pembelajaran IPS di kelas V dalam meningkatkan kreativitas dan rasa percaya diri peserta didik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini menggambarkan proses perencanaan, kegiatan pembelajaran, evaluasi sampai hasil dalam pembelajaran yang menerapkan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes diagnostik, observasi, unjuk kerja, dan tes akhir. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri Kiyaran 2 Kapanewon Cangkringan Tahun Pelajaran 2022/2023 sejumlah 14 peserta didik yang terdiri dari 8 laki-laki dan 6 perempuan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berdiferensiasi memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap kreativitas dan percaya diri peserta didik. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan meningkatnya nilai rata-rata kreativitas peserta didik dari kondisi awal 56,43 meningkat pada siklus I menjadi 67,86 dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 79,29. Tingkat percaya diri peserta didik juga mengalami peningkatan yang semula 60,77 meningkat pada siklus I menjadi 73,85 dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 80. Selain itu, pembelajaran berdiferensiasi juga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik dengan ditunjukkan nilai ulangan rata-rata yang semula 59,71 mampu meningkat pada siklus I menjadi 80,21 dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 84,14.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD Negeri Kepuharjo, Cangkringan Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023 dengan menggunakan model Quantum Teaching. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini menggunakan model Kemmis&Mc Taggart. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Kepuharjo, Cangkringan, Sleman. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri Kepuharjo yang berjumlah 23 siswa terdiri dari 15 siswa laki-laki dan 8 siswa perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes dan observasi. Instrumen penelitian adalah soal tes dan lembar observasi. Data penelitian ini dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian dengan menerapkan model Quantum Teaching dengan sintaks TANDUR yang menggunakan teknik pembelajaran bervariasi dan memfokuskan pada keterlibatan siswa dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD Negeri Kepuharjo. Berdasarkan tes pada siklus I setelah menggunakan model Quantum Teaching, nilai rata-rata meningkat dari 65 menjadi 79 dengan ketuntasan belajar juga meningkat dari 21% menjadi 91%. Pada siklus II, dengan adanya perbaikan pada siklus I, diperoleh nilai rata-rata 86 dengan ketuntasan belajar menjadi 100%.

Abstract

Masa pandemi Covid 19 mengakibatkan pembelajaran dilakukan secara daring. Kendala paling besar adalah kemampuan guru mendesain dan mengembangkan bahan ajar bahasa Inggris serta implementasinya dalam pembelajaran daring. Tim pengabdian masyarakat Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa berupaya menyelesaikan permasalahan di kabupaten Wonosobo dan Kebumen melalui program pelatihan pengembangan bahan ajar bagi guru. Tujuannya agar guru mampu mendesain dan mengembangkan bahan ajar serta mengimplementasikannya dalam pembelajaran daring. Partisipan pelatihan ini adalah guru bahasa Inggris SMP, SMA, dan SMK kabupaten Wonosobo dan Kebumen. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian dengan pelatihan dan workshop. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian dapat tercapai yaitu 1) para guru bahasa Inggris memperoleh pengetahuan baru terkait pengembangan bahan ajar dan implementasinya di ruang kelas selama pembelajaran daring, 2) para guru bahasa Inggris mampu mendesain dan mengembangkan bahan ajar serta mengimplementasikan bahan ajar di kelas, dan 3) para guru bahasa Inggris tidak mengalami kesulitan dalam pengembangkan bahan ajar dan mengimplementasikan secara daring di tengah pandemi Covid-19

Abstract

Developing students’ creativity in primary education is essential for preparing them to face 21st-century challenges. However, Indonesian language instruction in elementary schools often lacks teaching materials that effectively foster creative thinking. This study aims to develop and evaluate a Tri-N integrated project-based learning (PjBL) module—rooted in the Javanese educational philosophy of Niteni (observe), Nirokke (imitate), and Nambahi (develop)—to enhance creativity in Indonesian language learning. The study employed a research and development (RD) approach using the ADDIE model. The module was developed through needs analysis, expert validation, and implementation in two elementary schools. Data were collected via observations, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. A pretest-posttest design was used to assess the effectiveness of the module, with creativity measured using observation rubrics and N-Gain analysis. The module received high feasibility ratings from experts (100% for teaching materials, 95.71% for content, and 98.97% from practitioners). Creativity scores significantly increased in both trials: from 40.00% to 82.29% (N-Gain = 0.711) in the limited trial and from 40.60% to 83.10% (N-Gain = 0.722) in the wider trial. Teachers and students reported positive experiences with the module's structure, visual appeal, and engagement level. The findings support the Tri-N integrated PjBL module as an effective and culturally grounded innovation for fostering student creativity in language learning. Further research is recommended to explore its scalability across subjects and contexts.

Abstract

Basic calculation skills—addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division—are foundational in elementary mathematics. However, many students struggle to master these skills using traditional instruction alone. This study explores the effectiveness of integrating the demonstration method with digital learning media to improve calculation skills among Grade IV elementary students. A one-group pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design was employed with 40 fourth-grade students from Mendak State Elementary School, Indonesia. The intervention combined step-by-step teacher-led demonstrations with digital tools, such as interactive apps, over an eight-week period (16 sessions). Students’ calculation abilities were measured before and after the intervention using a validated 20-item multiple-choice test. Data were analyzed using paired samples t-tests after confirming normality through the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. Students showed significant improvement in posttest scores (M = 85.56) compared to pretest scores (M = 60.62), with a mean gain of 24.95 points (t = 15.43, p 0.001). Most students shifted from “fair” or “low” to “high” or “very high” proficiency categories. Female and older students exhibited slightly higher gains, though improvements were consistent across all demographics. The integration of structured demonstration with digital media significantly enhanced students’ arithmetic performance. The blended approach leveraged the clarity of modeling with the engagement and personalization of digital tools. Despite the study’s limitations—such as the absence of a control group—findings support the use of blended instructional methods in elementary mathematics.

Abstract

According to some elementary school students, science subject matter is included in the category of difficult and less interesting material to learn. Because most of the materials in Science Lessons are abstract. This causes a lack of student motivation and suboptimal learning outcomes. Responding to these challenges, many learning media have been developed, one of which is android-based learning media which is desired to be one of the innovative solutions to overcome challenges in science learning. This study aims to analyze the validity and effectiveness of android-based learning media, especially in science learning in elementary schools in an effort to increase student motivation and learning outcomes. The methodology in this study is by means of a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) which involves 21 relevant articles that are searched using Harzing's Publish or Perish machine with scopus and crossref reference categories, then processed using the PRISMA flow. The results of this study show that all learning media written in the article show a valid and effective category for increasing student motivation and learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model assisted by Genially media in improving the activity and learning outcomes of fifth grade students of Triharjo Elementary School in the subject of science. This study uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with the Kemmis and McTaggart model which is carried out in two cycles at Triharjo Elementary School, Sleman, to improve the activity and learning outcomes of fifth grade students in the subject of science. Data were collected through observations of student learning activities using observation sheets and multiple-choice tests of 20 questions that have been validated by material experts. The success of this study was determined based on an increase in student activity that reached a minimum of 75% and student learning outcomes that met the achievement criteria of 80% with a minimum score of 75. This study shows that the implementation of the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model assisted by Genially media is effective in improving the activity and learning outcomes of fifth grade students of Triharjo Elementary School in the subject of science. Before the action, student participation and learning outcomes were still low, but after the implementation of this model, there was a significant increase, especially in Cycle II with an average learning outcome reaching 77.71%. This learning model has been proven to increase student motivation, engagement, and understanding, making it a more effective alternative learning method.
