Abstract

Jagung (Zea mays L) merupakan komoditi agribisnis, Lahan yang berpotensi sebagai lahan untuk produksi jagung diantaranya adalah  lahan kering. Lahan kering umumnya miskin unsur hara esensial seperti N, P, K, Ca dan nilai tukar kation (KTK) rendah. Sludge merupakan hasil teknologi biokenversi dari limbah kotoran ternak yang mengandung berbagai unsur hara yang dibutuhkan tanaman sehingga baik untuk pertumbuhan tanaman. Pemberian pupuk organik berupa sludge ini diharapkan dapat memiliki, mempercepat umur bunga tanaman jagung dan meningkatkan hasil tanaman jagung. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Faktorial. Perlakuan dari dua faktor yaitu Aplikasi pemberian pupuk (A), terdiri dari di permukaan, diaduk, dan di benamkan. Faktor kedua yaitu dosis pemupukan (D) terdiri dari 20 dan 30 ton/ha. Hasil dari penelitian yaitu cara pemberian pupuk memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap hasil produksi jagung seperti, jumlah bunga, jumlah tongkol, berat kering tanaman jagung, berat kering pipilan jagung. Aplikasi pemupukan yang tepat dengan menggunakan sludge bio-digester kotoran sapi sebagai pupuk organik pada hasil produksi tanaman jagung di lahan kering yaitu dengan cara diaduk dengan hasil berat kering pipilan dan tanaman jagung paling banyak sebesar 22.67 kg dan 5.25 kg. Abstract

Minuman sinom adalah minuman yang diproduksi menggunakan bahan baku rimpang kunyit (Curcuma longa) dan daun asam (Tamarindus indica L.). Guna memproduksi minuman sinom yang memiliki kandungan antioksidan, total fenol, dan kadar vitamin C yang tinggi serta bertambahnya umur simpan maka perlu dilakukan penelitian mengenai analisis produksi minuman sinom bubuk dengan proses ekstraksi pada rimpang kunyit dan bagian pucuk daun asam atau sinom serta mempertimbangkan formulasi kombinasi rimpang kunyit dan daun sinom yang digunakan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh formulasi rimpang kunyit dan daun sinom yang digunakan terhadap rendemen, kapasitas antioksidan, total fenol, kadar vitamin C, serta atribut sensoris pada ekstrak. Selain itu juga bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan Foam Mat Drying terhadap rendemen bubuk minuman sinom legen. Hasil uji seluruh sampel diamati menggunakan analisa sidik ragam ANOVA dan uji lanjut BNT dengan taraf kepercayaan 5%. Pada hasil pengujian organoleptik dilakukan analisa sidik ragam (ANOVA) dengan General Linear Model (GLM) dan analisa lanjut dengan Uji BNT. Dalam menentukan perlakuan terbaik yaitu formulasi rimpang kunyit dan daun sinom terbaik dalam produksi minuman sinom legen dilakukan analisa Multiple Attribute. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, rendemen tertinggi diperoleh pada kode taraf KD3, kapasitas antioksidan tertinggi diperoleh pada KD4, serta total fenolik dan kadar vitamin C tertinggi diperoleh pada KD6. Berdasarkan hasil analisa Multiple Attribute diperoleh perlakuan terbaik yaitu pada formulasi dengan kode taraf KD4 yang menghasilkan rendemen sebesar 84,817%, kapasitas antioksidan 489,416 mg/ml, total fenol 12,98 mg/100 ml, serta vitamin C 1,329 mg/100 ml.Kata kunci: Daun Sinom, Formulasi, Produksi Bubuk Minuman Sinom Legen, Rimpang Kunyit

Abstract

Porang Tuber (Amorphophallus oncophyllus) has high Glucomanan content which is very useful in food and non food industry as well as in medical industry. The only main problem in development of porang flour is its Calcium Oxalate content that stipulates irritation (itchiness) and health disorder. Optimization study of diminution (reduction) content of Calcium Oxalate during mechanical grinding process using stamp mill and blowing fractionation. Optimization was performed by applying Response Surface Model (RSM), central composite model. Three variables i.e. weight of porang chip, grinding time and grinding speed were studied in order to study the Calcium Oxalate content as a response. Response model obtained was quadratic which was acquired at 1.3 kg porang optimum weight; grinding time 17.4’8”; and grinding speed at 19,23 rpm. Optimum Calcium content has been predicted at 0.2978% which was 0.3% in actual, decrease 92,12%

Abstract

ABSTRAK Indonesia merupakan salah satu penghasil nanas di dunia, dan pada tahun 2013 produksinya menempati urutan ke-5 dunia. Sentra produksi nanas Jawa Timur berada di Kabupaten Kediri dan Kabupaten Blitar, dan varietas yang umum ditanam adalah Queen, namun 10-15% panen berupa nanas grade C yang memiliki ukuran terkecil, dibandingkan grade lainnya. Pada penelitian ini nanas Queen grade C diolah menjadi minuman buah, dibandingkan kualitasnya dengan produk sejenis yang diolah dari nanas Queen grade B menggunakan analisis komparatif t-test independent, dan dibandingkan pula dengan regulasi dari BPOM. Uji sifat organoleptik minuman buah nanas Queen grade C menggunakan acceptance test just-about-right-scale (JARS) yang dikombinasikan dengan overall acceptibilty. Hasil analisa t-test independent menunjukkan bahwa seluruh nilai thitung pada rentang nilai (-) 4.604 sampai dengan (+) 4.604 sehingga H0 diterima, yang berarti tidak ada perbedaan nilai rata-rata kualitas antara minuman buah nanas Queen grade C dengan minuman buah nanas Queen grade B. Persentase sari buah pada minuman buah nanas Queen grade C telah memenuhi kategori sebagai minuman buah BPOM. Hasil uji organopleptik menunjukkan bahwa atribut sensori pada minuman buah nanas Queen dinilai telah tepat dan tidak memerlukan perubahan komposisi bahan baku dan bahan tambahanABSTRACTIndonesia is one of the pineapple producers, ranked fifth in the world. Kediri and Blitar are the centres of pineapple production in east Java regencies, and the most variety planted is queens. However 10- 15% of the plants are pineapple class C, which is categorised as the smallest size of pineapple in Indonesia. In this study, the Queen C grade pineapple was processed into fruit drinks, compared with its quality with similar products processed from Queen B using comparative analysis t-test independent, and also compared with regulation from BPOM. Organoleptic test of pineapple Queen grade C drink using A acceptance test just-about-right-scale (JARS) combined with overall acceptibilty. The result of t-test independent analysis showed that all tc values between (-) 4.604 to (+) 4.604 thus H0 are accepted, which means that there is no difference quality mean value between pineapple Queen grade C drink and grade B drink. The percentage of fruit juice in pineapple Queen grade C drink has been categorized as BPOM fruit drink. The organopleptic test results showed that the sensory attributes of pineapple Queen grade C drink were considered appropriate and does not require changes in the composition of raw material and other ingredients

Abstract

Sectio caesarea always relate to incision causing trauma for the suf erer and causing multiple complaint and symptom. One of the most often complaint was pain. This research aimed to know the ef ect of lavender aromatheraphy for pain scale alteretion of mother with post sectio caesarea. The design of the research was pre experiment design with one group pre test-post test design. The population of the research was day one post sectio caesarea mother in 1-2 juny 2019. The sample was 8 post caesarea mother. Sampling thecnique used for this research was purposive sampling and the data analized with t test. The result of this research show before the aromatheraphy gifted to the respondent 100% of them experiencing moderate pain. After giving the aromatheraphy 62,5 % of respondents are in moderate pain and 37,5% are in mild pain. Analized data result that p value was 0,021 which is less than α (0,05) with the result that ho rejected and hi accepted, there is influence of lavender aromatheraphy for pain scale alteretion of mother with post sectio caesarea. Abstract

Pineapple plantations around Mount Kelud are pineapple producing centers in East Java. The most commonly planted is Queen, but 10-15% of the harvest is grade C which is smaller than other grades. This study aims to analyze the properties of the juice and juice concentrate of the pineapple Queen varieties grade C, and comparing it with those processed from grade B to determine whether or not there are differences in product properties. In the method, the products are first made, analyzed for their physicochemical properties, and compared using a comparative analysis t-test independent. Physicochemical analysis of juice made from grade C and grade B, results average value of TPT, water content, total sugar, total acid, viscosity, color La*b*, respectively: 15,90obrix and 15,97obrix; 83.27% and 83.73%; 14.98% and 13.96%; 1.01% and 1.08%; 5.00 cP and 2.33 cP; 23.63 and 23.73; 6.17 and 6.20; 9.53 and 9.03. The average of that properties in juice concentrate made from grade C and grade B, respectively: 63.40obrix and 63.57obrix; 31.80% and 33.53%; 57.95% and 61.39%; 2.63% and 2.50%; 293,00cP and 211,33cP; 25.93 and 25.27; 8.00 and 7.57; 13.33 and 12.57. The results of the t-test independent shows that all the tcount between (-) 4.604 to (+) 4.604 so that ho is accepted, which means there is no difference in the average physicochemical properties of pineapple juice Queen varieties grade C and grade B, and there is no difference in the average physicochemical properties of pineapple juice concentrate Queen varieties grade C and grade B

Abstract

Plastic films are material that commonly used as preservative material for food products such as sausages, at first it aims to preserve the products from the environment and to maintain shelf life. But nowadays plastics are known as carcinogenic, undegradable and unstable when exposed to heat. Therefore, alternative materials are needed which safer for the products and the consumers. One of the alternatives is by using edible casing based on gelatin and the gelatin which is safer for consumption by any people is gelatin from chicken claws. This research was aimed to create formulas of edible casing based on the extraction of gelatin chicken claws and lumbu putih garlic as an antioxidant and antimicrobial agent to produce edible casing with good physical properties, prevent oxidation also reduce microbial growth. The experimental design of this research had 2 factors, plasticizer types (Glycerol, Sorbitol, Sucrose) and Garlic Concentration (2.5%, 5%, 10%). The result of this study shows that the best combination of the edible casing according to the Zeleny method was sorbitol as the plasticizer and 5% of garlic concentration. It produced 0.18 mm of thickness, 17.7% of moisture content, 91.43% of elongation, 0.020 kgf/cm² of tensile strength, 1048.5 ppm of IC50, 85.348 cfu/ml of TPC value for three days of storage.

Abstract

Based on the survey, SMEs need technology improvements for the frying process so that the process can be done semi-mechanically. Mechanical fryers have a capacity of 3-4 kg/process, larger than manual which have a capacity of 2 kg of dough/process, so meets the SME production target of 30 kg/day. The frying process takes 15 minutes, faster than the manual frying process for 20 minutes. The level of comfort and safety in the frying process is also better, because the equipment is equipped with a frame so that workers are not affected by heat due to the burner stove heating process. Production results are smooth and meet the production targets, and the quality of the amplang cracker products is the same both before and after the semi-mechanical fryer is applied.

Abstract

Sumber daya alam yang dimiliki Kecamatan Pinogu pada sektor pertanian sangat menarik untuk dikembangkan. Terutama pada komoditas Kopi Pinogu yang memiliki kekhasan sendiri dan telah mendapat status resmi sebagi produk unggulan daerah. Namun dalam proses pengembangan Kopi Pinogu, masih didapati beberapa masalah yang menjadi penghambat. Pengolahan kopi yang masih menggunakan peralatan sederhana menjadi permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh petani Kopi Pinogu saat ini. Selain itu dilihat dari proses perawatan pertanian di Pinogu yang belum maksimal, juga turut andil untuk menghambat proses pengembangan. Solusi yang ditawarkan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut antara lain dengan adanya pengenalan dan pelatihan teknologi tepat guna dalam pengolahan Kopi Pinogu. Selanjutnya untuk mendukung solusi pertama, dilaksanakan pemetaan diberbagai sektor untuk mencari akar masalah secara komperhensif. Dengan adanya kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat membantu menyelesaikan permasalahan yang teridentifikasi dari proses Pengembangan Kopi Pinogu.

Abstract

This paper presents sizing and performance evaluation of a standalone photovoltaic system to supply power of small scale photo-bioreactor system. PSH method is used to determine PV panel and battery capacity, then the sizing results is tested and evaluated using TRNSYS model. The results shows for small scale photobioreactor daily electricity load of 1440 Wh, the PV system requirement is consist of 500 Wp PV panel and 500 Ah battery capacity for 12V system.
