Abstract

This study examines differences in social media preferences for early childhood Islamic education among Millennial and Generation Z parents. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through structured interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis involving ten participants—five from each generation—in Batang Regency. Findings reveal that Millennials prefer YouTube and Facebook, focusing on structured access to visual educational content such as animated Islamic videos and songs. In contrast, Gen Z actively uses TikTok, Instagram, and educational games, often creating original content or collaborating with online communities to creatively convey Islamic values. For Millennials, social media is a supportive tool to introduce Islamic teachings in a fun, visual way. At the same time, Gen Z uses it to build communities and teach basics like hijaiyah letters. However, a surprising finding is that Gen Z’s usage tends to be irregular, with high frequency and duration, increasing risks of gadget addiction and exposure to negative content. The study contributes to understanding how generational differences shape modern Islamic education strategies via social media. It offers practical insights for parents, educators, and policymakers to develop age-appropriate approaches and establish guidelines for healthy, effective social media use in early Islamic education, ensuring positive engagement while minimizing digital risks.

Abstract

Riset tentang ibu milenial kebanyakan dikaitkan dengan kecanduan internet, medsos, dan belanja online, tidak  banyak yang membicarakan bagaimana mereka menggunakan gadget untuk mengenalkan agama pada anak. Artikel ini bertujuan mengungkap penanaman nilai-nilai agama Islam pada anak-anak mereka oleh para ibu milenial menggunakan gadgetnya.Penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologik ini bersandar pada data wawancara dan observasi kepada 9 ibu milenial dan 9 anak prasekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ibu milenial secara intensif mengenalkan nilai-nilai agama Islam pada anak, mayoritas memanfaatkan chanel youtube. Konten youtube yang digunakan meliputi: serial animasi Malaysia Omar Hana, rico the series, kisah nabi, lagu anak Islami, dan animasi binatang. Perbedaan penggunaan konten youtube dipicu oleh faktor pendidikan, pekerjaan dan ekonomi keluarga. Selain itu, penggunaan konten youtube berimplikasi pada kualitas dan kuantitas pemahaman nilai agama anak prasekolah. Hasil riset merekomendasikan pengfungsian gadget sebagai faktor determinan bagi ibu milenial dalam mengenalkan nilai keagamaan kepada anak prasekolah di masa kini dan mendatang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengevaluasi implementasi Kurikulum 2013 pada mata pelajaran Seni Budaya di sekolah menengah atas dengan fokus pada kesiapan dan kompetensi guru, metode pembelajaran, serta pemenuhan fasilitas dan sumber daya pendukung pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus yang dilakukan di SMAN 1 Kaliwungu dengan mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara dengan tujuh responden terdiri dari guru, siswa dan kepala sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesiapan dan kompetensi guru dipengaruhi oleh ketersediaan pelatihan profesional, pengalaman, dan dukungan sekolah. Metode pembelajaran yang diterapkan dalam Kurikulum 2013, seperti pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan penggunaan teknologi digital, memengaruhi kreativitas dan partisipasi siswa. Namun, tantangan seperti keterbatasan sumber daya dan resistensi terhadap perubahan juga diidentifikasi. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya pelatihan profesional yang berkelanjutan, dukungan sekolah yang kuat, dan alokasi anggaran yang memadai dalam meningkatkan implementasi Kurikulum 2013 pada mata pelajaran Seni Budaya di sekolah menengah atas.   Evaluation of the Implementation of the 2013 Curriculum in senior high schools in the subject of arts and culture   Abstract: This research evaluates the implementation of Curriculum 2013 in Cultural Arts subjects in senior high schools with a focus on teacher readiness and competence, learning methods, and fulfilment of facilities and resources supporting learning. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type conducted at SMA N 1 Kaliwungu by collecting data through interviews with seven respondents consisting of teachers, students and principals. The result shows that teachers' readiness and competence are influenced by the availability of professional training, experience, and school support. The learning methods applied in Curriculum 2013, such as problem-based learning and the use of digital technology, influence students' creativity and participation. However, challenges such as limited resources and resistance to change were also identified. Thus, this study highlights the importance of continuous professional training, strong school support and adequate budget allocation in improving the implementation of Curriculum 2013 in Cultural Arts subjects in senior secondary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to find an effective format for boarding schools by implementing human resource management. This research uses qualitative research methods with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques use in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques are carried out with Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results showed that: the management of educator resources is carried out through regeneration programs, coaching, and approaches to pesantren values. Preparation of educator resources through career development and training, and analysis. This research provides implications about the importance of governance of educational institutions through the implementation of human resources for the growth and development of institutions.

Abstract

The increasing incidence of violence, bullying, and the degradation of social values in school environments signals a crisis of role modeling within educational practice. This article aims to analyze and formulate strategies for Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers in fostering students’ role modeling and social awareness through the integration of Albert Bandura’s social cognitive learning theory and Antonio Gramsci’s concept of organic intellectuals. This study employs a qualitative approach using a library research method, drawing on primary and secondary literature relevant to issues of role modeling, social awareness, and Islamic religious education. Data were analyzed descriptively and analytically through content analysis and hermeneutic interpretation to construct a coherent theoretical synthesis. The findings indicate that IRE teachers, as organic intellectuals, play a strategic role as moral exemplars and agents of social consciousness formation through reflective role modeling, contextual learning, and active engagement in social activities. The integration of Bandura’s and Gramsci’s theories emphasizes that value internalization occurs not merely through knowledge transmission, but through observation, lived experience, and continuous critical reflection. Consequently, strengthening the role of IRE teachers as moral exemplars and drivers of social values has the potential to create a more humanistic, empathetic, and civilized educational ecosystem.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the effectiveness of two widely used digital learning platforms, Wordwall and Quizlet, in improving Arabic vocabulary mastery among seventh-grade students at MTs Ar-Rois Cendekia Semarang City. Employing a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a non-equivalent control group, the research involved two experimental classes consisting of 44 students selected through purposive sampling. Data collection employed vocabulary tests, observations, and documentation. The instruments were validated through validity and reliability testing, followed by data analysis using the Mann–Whitney U test, as the normality test indicated that the data were not normally distributed. The results showed that there was no statistically significant difference between Wordwall and Quizlet in improving students’ Arabic vocabulary mastery (p = 0.317 > 0.05), with a small effect size (r = 0.169), indicating that both platforms have comparable effectiveness in supporting vocabulary learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan teori behavioristik Albert Bandura dalam membentuk kesadaran belajar siswa, khususnya dalam konteks pendidikan Indonesia yang tengah bertransformasi melalui Kurikulum Merdeka. Permasalahan rendahnya motivasi intrinsik siswa yang masih bergantung pada dorongan eksternal menjadi latar belakang penting dalam kajian ini. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi pustaka untuk mengeksplorasi konsep-konsep kunci seperti modeling, self-efficacy, dan self-regulation yang merupakan inti dari teori Bandura. Sumber data berasal dari literatur ilmiah, karya asli Bandura, serta penelitian terkait lainnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan strategi pembelajaran berbasis observasi (vicarious learning) dan penguatan positif secara konsisten dapat meningkatkan kesadaran belajar siswa secara signifikan. Konsep self-efficacy terbukti berperan dalam membangun kemandirian belajar dan mengurangi ketergantungan siswa pada insentif eksternal. Selain itu, dimensi afektif dan sosial dalam pembelajaran—seperti hubungan emosional antara guru dan siswa berpengaruh besar terhadap keberhasilan internalisasi nilai-nilai belajar. Penerapan teori Bandura tidak hanya relevan secara akademik, tetapi juga secara praktis dalam mendukung pembentukan karakter dan spiritualitas peserta didik, sebagaimana ditunjukkan dalam integrasinya dengan nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam. Temuan ini memperkuat pentingnya peran guru sebagai model perilaku dan fasilitator refleksi dalam pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, teori Bandura dipandang sebagai pendekatan holistik yang mampu menjembatani metode behavioristik klasik dengan kebutuhan pembelajaran abad ke-21 yang reflektif dan mandiri.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of authentic assessment in holistic learning and its impact on strengthening five student characters in a semi-modern Islamic boarding school. Using a qualitative case study at Pabelan Islamic Boarding School in Magelang, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that authentic assessment not only assesses learning outcomes but also the process of character formation through the integration of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. Its implementation is carried out through project-based, performance-based, and portfolio-based assessments integrated into the students' daily activities. This approach has been proven to strengthen the main character values of sincerity, simplicity, independence, Islamic brotherhood, and freedom through reflective, participatory, and contextual learning. In addition, social interactions within the Islamic boarding school environment also strengthen the internalization of values on an ongoing basis. However, challenges exist in the form of limited teacher competency, administrative burdens, and student-to-student ratios. Therefore, ongoing training and strengthening of the evaluation system are needed to optimize the implementation of authentic assessment in holistic character education.
