Abstract

A smart village is a village whose people use technology and digital innovation in their daily lives. Implementing the smart village concept in rural development requires adequate village institutional capacity. Low institutional capacity causes an organization to lack the capacity to manage development and provide services. In general, the capacity of village organizations in almost all villages in Indonesia was relatively low, so the successful implementation of the bright village concept in village development requires more time. Regarding this problem, this study aimed to test whether or not village institutional capacity influences the implementation of smart villages in village development. The location of the study was chosen as Sembalun Bumbung Village, Sembalun District, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia. This study used a quantitative approach with an associative research method, namely testing the influence of village institutional capacity variables on smart village implementation variables. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and literature studies. The research instrument has been tested through validity and reliability tests. The data analysis technique used analysis using the Pearson correlation test (product-moment). The study results showed that the village institutional capacity variable affects the smart village implementation variable with a determination coefficient of 74.30%, which indicates a strong relationship between the two variables. These results are crucial for understanding the dynamics of smart village implementation. The research results also found that several factors influenced the success of implementing smart villages: infrastructure, networking, and community participation.

Abstract

Forests are important in human life because they have ecological, social, and economic functions. One way to utilise forest environmental services to preserve the environment and increase income is to manage them as ecotourism sites. One area with ecotourism potential that needs to be developed in Kampar Regency is the 251-hectare Imbo Putui Customary Forest. Despite its diverse potential, the development of Imbo Putui Customary Forest Ecotourism faces several challenges, such as human resources for management and tourism infrastructure facilities. The location of this study is the Imbo Putui Petapahan Customary Forest Ecotourism site. This study aims to analyse the existing ecological, social, and economic conditions of the Imbo Putui Customary Forest Ecotourism potential and formulate a development strategy for the Imbo Putui Petapahan Customary Forest Ecotourism. This study uses a mixed methods approach with a qualitative dominance. Primary data was collected directly from the field through interviews, questionnaires, and observations. The existing conditions were measured using purposive sampling and qualitative descriptive analysis. Meanwhile, the ecotourism development strategy was formulated using SWOT analysis. The analysis results show that the strategic position for implementing Imbo Putui Customary Forest Ecotourism is quadrant I, namely the S-O (Strengths-Opportunities) strategy. The strategies that can be applied are to develop integrated tourism packages based on attractions, activities, and digital promotion; utilise local wisdom and area zoning as ecotourism educational material; optimise forest legality to expand stakeholder cooperation and program support; and make tree diversity and flora and fauna protection the basis for educational tourism and research.

Abstract

Microeconomic empowerment is a program carried out by the central government to local governments. The existence of MSMEs in each region is experiencing rapid development, but this is not matched by the existence of adequate capital, or the lack of financial institutions that can support the existence of MSMEs. Therefore, an Islamic microfinance institution named the Baitul Maal Wat At-Tamwil institution emerged with one of the MSME development products, namely the Qardul Hasan contract (financing agreement without excess funds in return) and BMT Al-Mawaddah, Bangsalsari sub-district, which is one of the sharia financial institutions that have Qardul Hasan products. The formulation of the problem seeks to explain the application of the Qardul Hasan product and the conformity of the product with existing regulations. This type of qualitative research with data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation, the data collected was analyzed by descriptive method and the validity of the data using the method of persistence and constancy of observation. The results of the study explained that the Qardul Hasan contract at BMT Al-Mawaddah was running in accordance with the DSN-MUI Fatwa rules No.19/DSN-MUI/IV/2001, but it was not optimal for the object of Qardul Hasan's product recipients in developing the MSME sector. Because the recipients of the Qardul Hasan product contract are still minimal and have not spread personally. Suggestions for institutions are to maximize product recipients and apply sanctions so that there is an educational effect for members and institutional assets can rotate optimally.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with a majority Muslim population. As a Muslim, of course, you must obey Allah's commands and stay away from his prohibitions, such as the obligation to consume halal food. This is a form of obedience to religious law (shariah compliance). In 2024, Indonesia wants to become the center of the world's halal industry through various instruments that can make this happen. The halal industry certainly starts with instilling halal values from upstream to downstream which is called the Halal Value Chain and can be internalized by all business actors so that they can realize the Islamic Ecosystem in Indonesia. This study aims to find out how the development of the halal industry in Indonesia is, how the halal value chain process on UD Mitra Mushroom's superior products creates a halal ecosystem, and how is the impact of the halal value chain on UD Mitra Mushroom's superior products to create a halal ecosystem. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with field research specifications with research subjects namely owners, members/workers, and consumers of UD products. The results of this study are that every production process at UD Mitra Mushroom is always required to comply with operational standards (SOP) that are applied continuously. The mushroom raw materials used are harvested from their own agricultural products so that their quality can be maintained. Halal certification has been obtained for several processed mushroom products obtained through halal certification assistance activities carried out by halal assistants from the Muhammadiyah University of Jember and had an impact on increasing sales turnover of these processed mushrooms

Abstract

This study investigates the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model to improve students’ learning outcomes in Islamic Education and Character at SDN 005 Cemaga Selatan. The research was motivated by low student engagement and achievement resulting from traditional, teacher-centered methods. PBL, as a student-centered approach, emphasizes active participation, collaboration, and critical thinking through real-world problem-solving. The study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two cycles, each involving planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected using observation sheets, learning outcome tests, and field notes, and analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively. The findings indicate a significant improvement in students’ learning achievement and participation: the average score increased from 69.0 in the pre-cycle to 73.0 in Cycle I and 87.0 in Cycle II, with the mastery level improving from 60% to 100%. The results show that PBL not only enhances cognitive achievement but also fosters moral reasoning and reflective learning aligned with Islamic values. The study concludes that implementing PBL in Islamic Education contributes to meaningful learning experiences and moral development. Recommendations are provided for teachers and schools to integrate PBL principles into daily teaching practices to support holistic student growth.
