Abstract

ABSTRACTIntroduction Communication is a basic human activity, by communicating humans can relate to each other. The existence of good communication in an organization then all performance processes can run smoothly and vice versa. Without effective communication between the various parties, the pattern of relationships we call organization will not serve one's needs well. Many failures in organizations are caused by the lack of order in the communication carried out by the actors in the organization. Method This research used descriptive method with a 3D model (Define, Design, Develop). The validators were purposively selected. Validation assessing the validity of the content in the module. Data analysis used descriptive analysis. Result The result of this study shows the validation from the module has a V score with a range of 0.58 - 0.83. The results of the validation of the measuring instrument with a range of V scores from 0.66 - 1.00. Based on the results of the content validity test, this consultation process intervention module is valid of the content with some improvement from the validator. The validity criteria in mean are assessed from the material, presentation and language aspects as well as the ease of use. Conclusions The consultation process intervention module to improve effective communication between superiors and subordinates is declared valid in terms of the validity of the content. The researcher hoped by doing the validity of the contents, a solution to improving effective communication. Keywords: Module Validation, Consultation Process Intervention, Effective Communication. ABSTRAKPendahuluan Komunikasi merupakan aktivitas dasar manusia, dengan berkomunikasi manusia dapat saling berhubungan satu sama lain. Adanya komunikasi yang baik dalam suatu organisasi maka semua proses kinerja dapat berjalan lancar dan begitu pula sebaliknya. Tanpa komunikasi yang efektif di antara berbagai pihak, pola hubungan yang kita sebut organisasi tidak akan melayani kebutuhan seseorang dengan baik. Kegagalan dalam organisasi banyak yang disebabkan oleh kurang tertatanya komunikasi yang dilakukan para pelaku di organisasi tersebut. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan studi deskriptif dengan model 3D (define, design, develop). Penetapan validator dilakukan secara purposive. Validasi yang dilakukan yaitu menilai validitas isi pada modul. Analisis data yang digunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan validasi isi modul memiliki angka skor V dengan rentang 0.58 - 0.83. Hasil validasi alat ukur memiliki rentang angka skor V bergerak dari 0.66 - 1.00. Berdasarkan hasil uji validitas isi, modul intervensi proses konsultasi ini dinyatakan valid secara isi dengan beberapa saran perbaikan dari validator. Kriteria validitas yang dimaksud dinilai dari aspek materi, penyajian dan bahasa serta kemudahan dalam penggunaannya. Kesimpulan Modul Intervensi Proses Konsultasi Untuk Meningkatkan Komunikasi Efektif Antara Atasan dengan Bawahan dinyatakan valid secara isi. Dengan dilakukannya validitas isi modul ini diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi dalam meningkatkan komunikasi efektif. Kata Kunci : Validasi Modul, Intervensi Proses Konsultasi, Komunikasi Efektif

Abstract

AbstrakArtikel  bertujuan memberikan pemahaman bukti validitas empirik melalui data Statistika dengan uji deskriptif, hubungan dan perbedaan. Instrumen yang digunakan Skala Sikap terhadap pelajaran Sosiologi dari teori Charles Osgood. Subjek penelitian adalah Siswa SMA dan mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran – Universitas Jambi dengan N=455. Pada uji deskriptif, skala sikap terhadap Sosiologi memiliki nilai rata-rata tertinggi dari pelajaran Sosial Humaniora yang lain. Pada uji korelasi, skala sikap terhadap Sosiologi memiliki korelasi positif sedang dengan Geograpi, Sejarah dan Ekonomi. Ia menghasilkan korelasi positif sangat rendah dengan Minat Psikis-Tes Minat Indonesia dan korelasi negatif sangat rendah dengan Tes Potensi Akademik. Ada perbedaan sikap terhadap Sosiologi berdasarkan peminatan SMA, program studi dan kepribadian serta tidak ada perbedaan berdasarkan jenis kelamin. Untuk keperluan diagnosis, skala dapat didukung oleh validitas yang baik. Untuk keperluan prognosis, skala perlu diuji dengan variabel prestasi belajar. Kata Kunci : Validitas, Korelasi, Uji Beda, Signifikansi, Kelompok AbstractThe article aims to provide an understanding of the empirical validity of evidence through Statistics data with test of descriptive, relationships and differences. The instrument was used the Scale of Attitudes towards Sociology from Charles Osgood's theory. Research subjects were high school students and students of the Faculty of Medicine - Jambi University with N = 455. Sociology had the highest score than other social science scales. There was a moderate positive correlation with Geography, History and Economics scale. There was a higly positive correlation with Psyche Interest and  a highly negative with Academic Cognitive Test. There was a difference score attitude toward Sociology based on high school majoring, university program, personality and no correlation with gender. For the diagnosis purpose, it contained good validity evidence. Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of the Get Resih Application to increase knowledge of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (CHLB) in children. The method used is a quasi-experimental design with a pre-post group design. The study population consists of 22 kindergarten students who were randomly selected. The sampling technique is total sampling consisting of 11 experimental group and 11 a control group. The experimental group was given the Get Resih treatment – a knowledge scale of clean and healthy living behaviors used in the pretest and posttest. The results were analyzed using independent t-test and paired t-test samples. The results showed that there was a significant increase in CHLB knowledge between pretest and posttest scores in the experimental group. Meanwhile, in the controlled group, no significant knowledge of CHLB was found. It can be concluded that the Get Resih application can increase CHLB knowledge in children.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Introduction Job satisfaction is a crucial factor in the performance and overall well-being of employees in any organization, including higher education institutions. In the context of universities, job satisfaction not only impacts individual performance but also plays a significant role in shaping the quality of teaching, research, and community service In Jambi University, as in many other universities in Indonesia, PPPK lecturers form an integral part of the teaching and administrative workforce, making it essential to understand their levels of job satisfaction. Method The study's sample comprises 54 PPPK lecturers from seven different faculties at Jambi University. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire based on the Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS) theory developed by Spector, as adapted by Nofrianda, Sari, and Widiana (2020). The adapted survey consists of 36 items that measure various dimensions of job satisfaction, such as compensation, work environment, job security, relationships with colleagues, and opportunities for career advancement. Result The results of this study reveal the job satisfaction levels of PPPK lecturers at Jambi University, divided into three categories: low, moderate, and high satisfaction. Based on responses from 54 lecturers, the findings highlight the distribution of satisfaction levels as follows 9 lecturers (16.7%) reported a low level of job satisfaction, The majority of respondents, 39 lecturers (72.2%), expressed a moderate level of job satisfaction and Only 6 lecturers (11.1%) reported a high level of job satisfaction, indicating a strong sense of fulfillment and positive feelings toward their work. Keywords Job satisfaction, PPPK Lecturers, Universitas Jambi ABSTRAK Pendahuluan kepuasan kerja adalah faktor penting yang memengaruhi kinerja dan kesejahteraan keseluruhan karyawan dalam organisasi manapun, termasuk institusi pendidikan tinggi. Kepuasan kerja tidak hanya berdampak pada kinerja individu, tetapi juga berperan penting dalam menentukan kualitas pengajaran, penelitian, dan pengabdian masyarakat. Universitas Jambi, seperti pada banyak universitas lainnya di Indonesia, dosen PPPK menjadi bagian integral dari tenaga pengajar dan administratif, sehingga penting untuk memahami tingkat kepuasan kerja dosen PPPK Universita Jambi. Metode sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 54 dosen PPPK dari tujuh fakultas berbeda di Universitas Jambi. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner terstruktur berdasarkan teori Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS) yang dikembangkan oleh Spector, diadaptasi oleh Nofrianda, Sari, dan Widiana (2020). Survei yang diadaptasi ini terdiri dari 36 butir pernyataan yang mengukur berbagai dimensi kepuasan kerja, seperti kompensasi, lingkungan kerja, keamanan kerja, hubungan dengan rekan kerja, dan peluang pengembangan karir. Hasil hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan tingkat kepuasan kerja dosen PPPK di Universitas Jambi, yang dibagi menjadi tiga kategori: kepuasan rendah, sedang, dan tinggi. Berdasarkan tanggapan dari 54 dosen, temuan menunjukkan distribusi 9 dosen (16,7%) dengan tingkat kepuasan kerja yang rendah, mayoritas responden pada kategori sedang yaitu 39 dosen (72,2%) dan hanya 6 dosen (11,1%) berada tingkat kepuasan kerja yang tinggi, menunjukkan rasa puas dan positif terhadap pekerjaan Dosen PPPK Universitas Jambi. Abstract

The research aims to explore how Quizziz can be effective in improving the understanding of currency recognition in learners with disabilities. The research used a quantitative approach and an experimental method of one group pre-test post-test design to collect data on student learning outcomes. Data collection was done through written tests in the form of multiple choice, with analysis using parametric statistical techniques and Paired Sample T-Test test. The data findings showed that the average student pretest score was 66.0 and which then increased to 89.3 on the posttest, with an average difference of 23.3 points. The statistical test resulted in a significance value of p = 0.004, which is a value that shows the significance of the difference and increase in scores. The increase in the results obtained is an indication that when learning is carried out with gamification and visual-based media such as Quizizz is able to provide assistance in helping students understand the basic concepts of currency and increase learning motivation through an attractive and interactive display. Thus, it can be concluded that the Quizizz application can be a feasible alternative for use in learning, especially to increase the independence of students with disabilities in daily life through mastery of currency recognition material.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to prevent body shaming behavior among SMP Negeri 17 Jambi City students through an educational approach and intervention involving students directly. Body shaming is the act of demeaning someone based on their physical aspects, which can harm adolescents mental health. The participants of this psychoeducation consisted of 36 students who were randomly selected. The results showed an increase in students' understanding of the adverse effects of body shaming as well as a change in attitude towards a more positive and supportive direction. The educational program implemented effectively raised awareness and strengthened a culture of mutual respect in the school environment. Thus, educational interventions can be an effective solution in reducing body shaming behavior among students.

Abstract

Mental health is a concern nowaday in workplace. For instance, psychological well-being owned by educational Personnel at Universitas Jambi. Psychological well-being is the ability to understand and accept one's qualities, have positive relationships with others, be able to live independently, be able to set goals in life and be able to adjust to the surrounding environment.  Support from the institution is needed so that employees can continue to be productive so that they still want to continue to be part of the organization or often referred to as organizational commitment. Therefore, this study aims to see the relationship between psychological well-being and the commitment of educational staff organizations within the University of Jambi. The subject of this study is all of education staffs at the University of Jambi with at least 1 year of teaching experience. Using the techiniques by Ryff in 1989, non-probability sampling techniques with purposive sampling techniques. Psychological well-being was measured by the psychological well-being scale (reliability 0.943) and organizational commitment was measured using the organizational commitment scale (reliability 0.813). The results of data analysis using Pearson Product Moment showed  a significant positive relationship (0.001 < 0.05) with a Pearson correlation value  of 0.429. This shows that when education staffs have increased psychological well-being, it will make their commitment to stay in the organization even stronger.

Abstract

INTRODUCTION Abstract reasoning refers to the ability to analyze information, detect patterns and relationships, and solve problems on a complex, intangible level. Based on Piaget’s theory, it is said that abstract reasoning has started at age of 11 years old and above. METHOD This scale based on construction methods of measuring instruments. This research included 600 respondents overall from age 13 to 35 years old. There were 100 items that divided into five indicators. The item analysis was done by the item discrimination index, item difficulty index, the effectiveness of the distractor, validity views of content validity, convergent validity, discriminant validity, groups validity,criterion validity, and reliability analysis. Norms are made by using score-standard or z-scores method. RESULTTheresult of convergent validity between the Abstract Reasoning Test’s components is a positive correlation. Discriminatory with r = 0,078 and Sig. = 0,271 shows that there was not much difference of abstract reasoning ability between women and men. There was a significant correlation between education and abstract reasoning ability with r = 0,405 and Sig. = 0,000, and there was also a significant correlation between age and abstract reasoning ability with r = 0,472 and Sig. = 405. Internal consistency reliability using the SPSS output coefficient of reliability of 0,809, and it shows the Abstract Reasoning Scale has a good reliability scores. CONCLUSION DAN RECOMMENDATION The instrument has good psychometric properties. It has good results on validity tests and standards-compliant reliability. The instrument is also practically used. Final scale consists of 25 items. Abstract reasoning ability is proven to be correlated with education and age. The higher one’s education, the higher abstract reasoning ability will be. Also the older one gets, the more abstract reasoning ability one will possess.

Abstract

Reverse Culture Shock (RCS) is a psychosocial challenge experienced by individuals returning to their home country after participating in a program abroad. This study aims to examine the effect of RCS on psychological distress, with psychological capital acting as a mediating variable.This research employed a quantitative survey design and utilized Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) for data analysis. Data were collected using the DASS-21 scale, the Psychological Capital (PsyCap) scale, and the Reverse Culture Shock scale. The population consisted of 1,980 awardees of the 2023 Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA), with a sample of 316 students selected through random sampling. The results revealed that RCS had a significant negative effect on psychological capital (β = -0.427; p < .001) and a significant positive effect on psychological distress (β = 0.348; p < .001). Psychological capital also had a significant negative effect on psychological distress (β = -0.368; p < .001). Furthermore, a partial mediation effect of psychological capital was found in the relationship between RCS and psychological distress (β = 0.157; VAF = 31.1%; p < .01). These findings suggest that higher levels of RCS are associated with greater psychological distress, but psychological capital can buffer this negative impact. The study highlights the importance of psychological interventions that strengthen internal psychological resources to support re-adaptation after cross-cultural experiences.

Abstract

Introduction The purpose of this article to give understanding about reliability of psychological measurement with the emperical data. The data used attitude toward chemistery scale from Charles Osgood theory. Method It used semantic differensial format and continuum of score of item 1-7 with three items. It explained internal consistency, parallel test, test retest and composite score. There were N=278 subejcts from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences The University of Jambi. Result The internal consistency method used four technique with reliability coeffiecent r=0.717 to 0.824. the parallel test reliability showed equivalency coeffiecient rxx t retest reliability with rx1x2 = 0.754. Score composite reliability attitude toward Mathematics and Sciences showed r=0.914. Conclusions The reliability analysis showed the good result, the data could be used in psychometric lecturing, validate other test, and the scale for the practical usage. Hasil Empat teknik reliabilitas konsistensi internal menghasilkan koefisien r=0.717 s.d. 0.824. Uji reliabiltas tes paralel menghasilkan koefisien ekivalensi sebesar rxx Uji reliabilitas tes ulang menghasilkan koefisien stabilitas rx1x2 =0.754. Uji reliabilitas skor komposit dalam skala Sikap terhadap pelajaran Matematika dan Sains r=0,914. Kesimpulan Hasil uji reliabilitas menunjukkan hasil memuaskan sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai data perkuliahan Psikometri, uji validiasi alat ukur lain, maupun kegunaan praktis.
