Abstract

The akar kuning plant (Arcangelisia flava L) from the Menispermaceae family is one of the Bajakah plant groups, which propagate among large trees and are commonly found in tropical forests in the West Kalimantan region. The purpose of this study was to determine the phytochemical compound and activity of anti-inflammatory from the akar kuning stem ethanol extract through the stabilization ability of the human red blood cell membrane (HRBC) in vitro. The akar kuning plant was taken from the forest of the Kapuas Hulu region, dried and mashed first and then extracted by maceration using the organic solvent ethanol. The ethanol extract obtained was concentrated using a rotary evaporatory, then a sample solution of akar kuning ethanol extract was made at several concentrations. Based on the results of phytochemical testing, this plant contained flavonoids, tannins, alkaloids and saponins. Anti-inflammatory activity testing using rabbit blood and using diclofenac sodium as a positive control. The measurement results showed the anti-inflammatory activity of the ethanol extract of the yellow root plant at concentrations of 50, 100, 150, 200 and 250 mg/mL were 28.77, 39.45, 57.53, , 62.80 and 75.50%, while the percentage of HRBC stabilization of the positive control was at the same concentration were 34.55, 46.34., 56.56, 69.88 and 87.33%.

Abstract

Abstract: The creativity and innovation of teachers in learning methods and techniques is very important in the success of the learning process of students in the classroom. The use of technology to accommodate the creativity of education personnel has become a basic need, and to make this happen, requires intensive assistance and training. The purpose of this activity is to examine the application of technology adaptation to education staff at the state elementary school No. 15 Segedong, Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan, through the students of the Teaching Campus 2 (KM 2) team assigned to the school. This research is descriptive qualitative, using primary data sourced from field observations, interviews with education staff (school teachers), school principals and students who become KM 2 agents at the school accompanied by documentation that supports factual activities in the field. In addition, this research is also supported by the availability of secondary data that can be obtained from the literature or references that are relevant to the research topic. The results showed that the technological adaptation carried out by the students of the KM 2 Segedong team went well, and could improve the ability of the educators at the school in utilizing science and technology (IT) in learning methods at the school. Abstract

Abstrak: Perekonomian nasional adalah salah satu sektor yang terdampak berat dengan adanya pandemic covid 19. Enterpreneurship yang berlangsung di dalam kampus atau dilaksanakan oleh mahasiswa, selama ini telah memberi warna khusus dalam kancah bisnis, telah ikut goyah dihantam tsunami pandemic, karena banyaknya pembatasan kegaiatan sebagai usaha pemerintah dalam memutus mata rantai penularan virus covid 19. Lesunya gairah bisnis sejak awal tahun 2019 sampai akhir tahun 2021, akhirnya mendorong untuk dilakukan sosialisasi dalam kampus terkait peluang-peluang bisnis selama masa pandemi yang bertujuan untuk membangkitkan kembali semangat berusaha kepada mahasiswa selama masa pandemic sampai menuju masa new normal. Kegiatan ini kemudian dirumuskan kembali dalam bentuk webinar yang diinisiasi oleh Himpunan Mahasiswa Ilmu Kelautan dan Dosen pembina kegiatan kemahasiswaan, yang dihadiri sekitar 60 mahasiswa dalam jurusan yang sama. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada hari Jumat, 11 Maret 2022 berlangsung dengan baik, aktivitas mahasiswa bertanya dalam forum tersebut sangat tinggi dan beberapa mahasiswa juga menyampaikan ide-ide bisnis yang sedang direncanakan ataupun sudah dalam tahap akan realisasi. Abstract

Meningkatnya kebutuhan pangan dan perumahan telah menjadi pemicu pembukaan lahan gambut, karena membakar lahan merupakan salah satu usaha paling ekonomis dalam pembukaan lahan tersebut. Saat musim kemarau, budaya membuka lahan ini sangat beresiko terhadap terjadinya kebakaran lahan gambut yang luas  serta sulit dipadamkan. Tujuan dari kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah untuk mengedukasi dan mensosialisasikan usaha-usaha pencegahan dini kebakaran lahan serta tindakan-tindakan untuk mengurangi resiko atau bahaya yang disebabkan oleh kabut asap dari kebakaran lahan tersebut kepada kelompok masyarakat Desa Kapur  Kubu Raya. Kegiatan ini dilakukan secara offline dengan tetap menggunakan protokol kesehatan untuk pencegahan Covid 19. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh peserta sebanyak 20 orang merupakan perwakilan warga masyarakat, dengan menggunakan metode ceramah yang dilanjutkan dengan simulasi dan demonstrasi penanganan kebakaran. Dalam kegiatan itu juga dibagikan masker kesehatan dan handsanitizer  kepada seluruh peserta yang hadir. Monitoring dan evaluasi kegiatan dilaksanakan sepanjang kegiatan melalui pengamatan aktivitas peserta dalam simulasi dan demonstrasi, sedangkan tingkat pemahaman dan kemampuan masyarakat dalam menangani kebakaran menunjukkan kemajuan, yang dilihat pada hasil kuisioner yang diberikan pada awal dan akhir kegiatan. Socialization and Education on Early Prevention of the Risks of Peatland Fires in the Dry Season to the Villagers of Kapur  The increasing need for food and housing has become a trigger for clearing peatlands, because burning land is one of the most economical ways to clear these lands. During the dry season, this culture of clearing land is very risky for large peatland fires that are difficult to extinguish. The purpose of this Community Service activity (PKM) is to educate and socialize early efforts to prevent land fires and actions to reduce the risk or danger caused by haze from land fires to the Kapur Kubu Raya Village community group. This activity was carried out offline while still using the health protocol for the prevention of Covid 19. This activity was attended by 20 participants who were representatives of community members, using the lecture method followed by simulations and demonstrations of handling fires. In this activity health masks and hand sanitizer were also distributed to all participants who attended. Monitoring and evaluation of activities is carried out throughout the activity through observing the activities of participants in simulations and demonstrations, while the level of understanding and ability of the community in dealing with fires shows progress, as seen in the results of the questionnaires given at the beginning and end of the activity.

Abstract

Pembelajaran literasi numerasi saat ini menjadi perhatian utama pemerintah dalam usaha meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia. Kegiatan Kampus Mengajar (KM) sebagai bagian dari program Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM), adalah salah satu upaya pemerintah untuk membantu percepatan peningkatan kemampuan literasi numerasi dan adaptasi teknologi di tingkat sekolah dasar dan menengah. Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dasar literasi numerasi siswa di kelas 2 Sekolah Dasar Negeri No 16 Pontianak Utara. Kegiatan dilakukan selama 4 bulan dengan beberapa tahapan yaitu persiapan model dan materi pembelajaran berdasarkan kurikulum tematik (Kurikulum 2013), berperan langsung membantu guru kelas dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas 2, dan mengevaluasi kegiatan berdasarkan capaian pembelajaran di akhir kegiatan. Dari serangkaian kegiatan proses pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan oleh tim pelaksana PKM yaitu mahasiswa kampus mengajar 3 dan dosen pembimbing lapangan (DPL) menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi numerasi dari peserta didik kelas 2 di SDN No 16 Pontianak Utara meningkat, yang diindikasikan dari kelancaran membaca dan berhitung serta menyimak pesan yang tertuang di dalam cerita yang dibaca. Thematic-Based Literacy and Numeracy Skills in Grade 2 Students of Public Elementary School No 16 Pontianak Utara Learning numeracy literacy is currently the government's main concern in efforts to improve the quality of education in Indonesia. Teaching Campus (KM) activities as part of the Independent Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program, are one of the government's efforts to help accelerate the improvement of numeracy literacy skills and technology adaptation at the elementary and secondary school levels. This community service activity aims to improve the basic numeracy literacy skills of students in grade 2 of Public Elementary School No. 16 Pontianak Utara. The activity was carried out for 4 months with several stages, namely the preparation of learning models and materials based on the thematic curriculum (2013 Curriculum), playing a direct role in assisting class teachers in the learning process in grade 2, and evaluating activities based on learning outcomes at the end of the activity. From a series of learning process activities carried out by the PKM implementing team, namely teaching campus students 3 and field supervisors (DPL) it shows that the numeracy literacy skills of grade 2 students at SDN No. 16 Pontianak Utara have increased, which is indicated by fluency in reading and counting and listening message contained in the story read.

Abstract

Salah satu jenis makroalga hijau yang banyak ditemukan di daerah Lemukutan adalah Caulerpa sp yang dikenal dengan anggur laut. Saat ini makroalga laut menjadi target penelitian bahan alam dan bahan pangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengisolasi bakteri simbion makroalga Caulerpa sp. dan mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri. Isolasi bakteri simbion Caulerpa sp. dilakukan dengan metode tuang dan pengujian aktivitas antibakteri dilakukan dengan metode cross streak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebanyak 20 isolat bakteri dihasilkan dari media NA dan media zobell 2216E. Salah satu isolat dari 20 isolat yang dihasilkan dari kedua media yang berbeda tersebut, yaitu CRB 21 menunjukkan aktivitas antibakteri terhadap Escherichia coli dan hasil identifikasi menggunakan uji biokimia menunjukkan CRB 21 menunjukkan positif terhadap uji motilitas, uji penggunaan sitrat, Uji MR (methyl red), uji oksidasi, uji katalase dan uji oksidasi fermentatif. Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi ini, isolate bakteri CRB 21 adalah dari genus Corynebacterium. Dari pemeriksaan fitokimia, isolat CRB 21 memberikan reaksi positif terhadap saponin dan flavonoid

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan pengujian aktivitas antibakteri dan skrining fitokimia dari ekstrak etanol cakar U. gambir secara in vitro. Ekstraksi dilakukan secara maserasi dan pengujian antibakteri dilakukan secara metode difusi, menggunakan bakteri uji Escherichia coli dan Staphylococcus aureus. Aktivitas antibakteri ditunjukkan dengan terbentuknya zona hambat di daerah sumuran sampel dalam medium Nutrien Agar (NA) yang sudah diinokulasi dengan bakteri uji sebelumnya. Skrining fitokimia meliputi pemeriksaan alkaloid, flavonoid, tannin dan sapoini. Dari hasil penelitian  menunjukkan ekstrak etanol cakar gambir lebih potensial menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri uji E. coli daripada S. aureus. Ekstrak etanol akar gambir menghasilkan aktivitas penghambatan  S. aureus  paling besar pada konsentrasi 50 μg/mL sebesar 10,56 mm dan paling kecil sebesar 6,82 mm pada konsentrasi 6,25 μg/mL. Senyawa antibakteri yang dikandung oleh senyawa tersebut bersifat bakterisid karena setelah penyimpanan selama 2x 24 jam, zona hambat tidak mengalami perubahan. Hasil skrining fitokimia menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol cakar gambir mengandung senyawa flavonoid, tannin dan saponin.

Abstract

The many side effects of consuming chemical-based drugs in maintaining human health have led to a tendency to return to nature. Consumption of medicinal plants in fresh or dried form has been considered to minimize side effects. This research will examine the feasibility of cat's claw (Uncaria tomentosa Wild. Ex Schult) tea as a functional drink based on physicochemical parameters and total phenol content. The physicochemical parameters tested included pH, water content, ash content and organoleptic examination of herbal teas including taste, odor and color of the brewed solution, while the total content of phenolic compounds was carried out based on the Folin–Ciocalteu method. Organoleptic examination showed a characteristic odor of the leaves, such as the smell of herbal teas in general with a bland and astringent taste, and the juice of the solution was yellowish green. The results of the physicochemical parameter test showed that the pH of the solution was 6.9, the water content was 7.7, the ash content was 8.00%, while the total phenol content measured was 68.77 mg GAE/g sample.  The physicochemical parameters measured from the testing of cat's claw herbal tea in this study met the quality requirements of dry tea according to SNI No 3836 BSN 2013

Abstract

Herbal tea is one of the functional drinks, which is consumed for the purpose of preventing or treating disease. The number of side effects that arise from the consumption of drugs made from synthetic or chemical materials has led to a tendency for people to return to consuming herbal plants as a solution to health problems. The purpose of this study is to make tea from the roots of tampala (Spatholobus littoralis Hassk) and to test the physical and chemical properties, organoleptic examination and determination of antioxidant activity. Testing of physical and chemical properties including water content, ash content and pH of the preparation, organoleptic examination including taste and odor and color of the brewed solution and determination of antioxidant activity was carried out using the DPPH method (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazil). The results of the physicochemical test of tampala tea showed that a pH of 6.8, water content of 7.63%, ash content of 7.7%. On organoleptic examination, the tea using the brewed water showed a slightly sour taste, a characteristic wood smell and a brownish yellow color. Based on the physical and chemical character of the tampala herbal tea test results, it meets the requirements of SNI No. 3836 of the 2013 National Standardization Agency, while the antioxidant test results of the tampala herbal tea was obtained an IC50 value (Inhibition Concentration 50) of 89.63 ppm, included in the category of strong antioxidant potential, because it is in the category of strong antioxidant potential. in the range of 50-100 ppm.

Abstract

This study aims to record the types of bamboo in Bhakti Mulia Village, Bengkayang Sub-District, Bengkayang District, to record the parts of the bamboo plant used by the people of Bhakti Mulia Village, Bengkayang Sub-District, Bengkayang District, to record various uses of bamboo carried out by the people of Bhakti Mulia Village, Bengkayang Sub-District, Bengkayang District. The method used is a survey and observation method with direct interview techniques. Sampling of the use of bamboo was carried out using purposive sampling. The tools used in collecting interview data were questionnaires, Tally sheets and stationery, tools used in sampling were machetes, safety equipment (gloves, shoes), equipment for herbarium (cutting scissors, plastic packing, knives, newspapers, scissors, insulation and label hangers, permanent markers), Cameras/mobile phones for documentation, Voice recorders and the materials used are bamboo, spiritus. Based on the results of the study, it was noted that 9 types of bamboo were used by the community, namely: Aur (Bambusa multiplex), Au (Bambusa vulgaris), Batunk (Dendracalamus asper), Bincank (Dendrocalamus hirtellus), Gare (Gigantochloa ater), Abe (Gigantochloa balui) , Tarenk (Gigantochloa hasskarliana), Acurit (Gigantochloa levis), Boro mari/Boro lamang (Schzostachyum brachycladum). These 9 types of bamboo are all used by the community in the form of crafts and traditional rituals, farming tools, consumption of cooking foods such as lemang, the parts used are the stems, leaves for food wrapping, and shoots for vegetables.Keyword: Bamboo, Bhakti Mulia, Identification, Utilization.AbstrakPenelitian bertujuan untuk mendata jenis bambu yang ada di Desa Bhakti Mulia Kecamatan Bengkayang Kabupaten Bengkayang, mendata bagian tumbuhan bambu yang di manfaatkan oleh masyarakat Desa Bhakti Mulia Kecamatan Bengkayang Kabupaten Bengkayang, mendata berbagai pemanfaatan bambu yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat Desa Bhakti Mulia Kecamatan Bengkayang Kabupaten Bengkayang. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survey dan observasi dengan teknik wawancara langsung. Pengambilan sampel pemanfaatan bambu dilakukan dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. Alat yang digunakan dalam pengambilan data wawancara adalah kuisioner, Tally sheet dan alat tulis, Alat yang digunakan dalam pengambilan sampel adalah Parang, Perlengkapan keamanan (sarung tangan, sepatu), Peralatan untuk herbarium (Gunting stek, plastik packing, Pisau, koran, gunting, isolasi dan gantungan label, spidol permanen), Kamera/hp untuk dokumentasi, Perekam suara dan bahan yang digunakan adalah bambu, spiritus. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tercatat 9 jenis bambu yang dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat, yaitu: jenis Aur (Bambusa multiplex), Au (Bambusa vulgaris), Batunk (Dendracalamus asper), Bincank (Dendrocalamus hirtellus), Gare (Gigantochloa ater), Abe (Gigantochloa balui), Tarenk (Gigantochloa hasskarliana), Acurit (Gigantochloa levis), Boro mari/Boro lamang (Schzostachyum brachycladum). 9 jenis bambu ini semuanya dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat dalam bentuk kerajinandan, ritual adat, alat bertani, konsumsi memasak makanan seperti lemang bagian yang digunakan adalah bagian batang, daun untuk pembungkus makanan, tunas untuk sayur.Kata kunci: Bambu, Bhakti Mulia, Identifikasi, Pemanfaatan.
