Abstract

Problems faced by partners: (1) The Glamor Camping Terasering Menoreh tourist bookkeeper still does not fully understand proper bookkeeping, (2) Bookkeeping or financial records are still not optimal, (3) The partner's desire to become a Tourist Village that is Accountable for funds which he has managed (4) Expectations from partners so that the Tourism Village can develop and have competitiveness. Based on the problems faced by partners, the service team carried out several activities as a solution to this. Training was provided to Glamor Clamping Terasering Menoreh stakeholders. The first activity is presenting material regarding Accounting for business. The second activity is direct practice of bookkeeping or recording cash inflows and outflows and preparing financial reports. The third activity is to assist Stakeholders in communicating financial information periodically to the relevant community. The fourth activity is monitoring bookkeeping which has been carried out after training provided by the service team. The service team's hope is that financial recording or bookkeeping activities at the Menoreh Terrace Glamor Camping Tourism can run sustainably so that each stakeholder can monitor each other and maintain its sustainability. To achieve this, the service team carries out regular monitoring and evaluation so that the records carried out can be more accountable

Abstract

Organic waste management is an important issue in addressing environmental problems. One potential solution is bioconversion technology using Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggots that can break down organic waste and produce larvae with economic value as animal feed. To increase the selling value and extend the shelf life, BSF larvae need to be dried using tools such as rotary dryers. This study aims to design and analyse the strength of a rotary dryer machine frame for maggot drying with a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) approach based on SolidWorks software. Simulations were carried out on several materials: ASTM A36, AISI 1020 Steel, and AISI 1045 Steel. The analysis results show that all materials are within safe limits based on Von Mises stress, deformation, and safety factor. AISI 1045 steel material gives the best performance with Von Mises stress of 14.238 MPa, deformation of 0.59 mm, and safety factor of 7.2. These results show that AISI 1045 steel is the most recommended material for the rotary dryer frame.

Abstract

One method of drying Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae that can be applied is drying using a continuous microwave oven. This tool utilizes microwaves emitted to evaporate water. In addition, the use of a conveyor that runs on a microwave oven as a medium or place to place BSF larvae is expected to simplify the production process. This study was conducted to determine the design and strength analysis of the thermal structure of a continuous microwave oven-type BSF larva dryer using Solidworks software. The specifications of the continuous microwave oven-type BSF larva dryer have a capacity of 15 kg, a heating input power of 8 KW and a temperature of 100℃. With variations in heating time of 20, 30, and 40 minutes. The results of the thermal structure analysis of the BSF larva dryer type continuous microwave oven based on the simulation obtained stress with the highest value of and the lowest value of . The results of the displacement simulation with the highest value of and the lowest value of . The Safety factor simulation result is 3.2. So from the simulation results it can be said that it is safe to continue to the manufacturing process.

Abstract

The main issue faced by the partner is the production of miniature statue and temple souvenirs made from natural stone through carving or engraving processes. The extensive and long-term use of natural stone will damage the ecosystem, especially rocks. Moreover, natural stone is formed through a very long geological process. 3D printing to create miniature statue and temple souvenirs is an alternative solution to increase the variety of souvenir products in Kalirejo Tourism Village while preserving the ecosystem, particularly rock diversity. This is because 3D printing technology uses biodegradable materials. However, the marketing of souvenirs, as a key support for the tourism sector, still needs to be improved. Through the marketing and sale of miniature statue and temple souvenirs made using 3D printing technology, the target of increasing the partner’s sales turnover by up to 10 percent from previous figures can be achieved. One of the key factors supporting the success of this activity is the strong cooperation and active participation of the partner during its implementation. The Kalirejo Village Government also provided full support to ensure the smooth execution of the program.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of overhang inclination angle and nozzle temperature on the surface roughness of the overhang section in a 3D printed object using Polylactic Acid (PLA) material with the Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) method. An experimental approach was employed by varying the overhang angles (35˚, 45˚, and 55˚) and nozzle temperatures (210˚C, 220˚C, and 230˚C) during the printing process. Surface roughness measurements were performed on unsupported overhang areas using a surface roughness tester. The results showed that surface roughness increased with greater overhang angles and higher nozzle temperatures. The lowest surface roughness value was recorded at 210˚C with a 35˚ overhang angle, while the highest was observed at 230˚C with a 55˚ overhang angle. These findings indicate that controlling the nozzle temperature and overhang angle is crucial for achieving optimal surface quality in overhang printing. This study is expected to contribute to the optimization of FDM process parameters to produce smoother surfaces.

Abstract

Kenyamanan termal adalah kondisi ketika seseorang merasa nyaman terhadap suhu lingkungan, yang umumnya berada dalam rentang 20.5°C hingga 27.1°C. Kota Surakarta, sebagai wilayah tropis, mengalami fenomena Urban Heat Island (UHI) yang menyebabkan peningkatan suhu, termasuk pada bangunan Rumah Instan Sederhana Sehat (Risha). Penelitian ini mengevaluasi efektivitas penggunaan AC 1/2 PK selama satu jam melalui simulasi menggunakan perangkat lunak Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Simulasi dilakukan dengan membandingkan kondisi sebelum dan sesudah penambahan AC, menggunakan parameter suhu udara sebesar 16°C dan kecepatan hembusan 2.7 m/s. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan AC dapat menurunkan temperatur awal sebesar 31.15°C hingga berada dalam rentang kenyamanan berdasarkan SNI 03-6572-2001, meskipun distribusi pendinginan belum merata. Ruangan yang mencapai kondisi nyaman adalah ruang tamu, dapur, dan kamar tidur, sedangkan ruang keluarga dan mezanin masih berada di atas ambang batas kenyamanan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan AC dapat meningkatkan kenyamanan termal pada sebagian ruang, namun belum optimal untuk seluruh bangunan. Oleh karena itu, disarankan dilakukan optimasi penempatan AC dan perbaikan sistem ventilasi guna meningkatkan efisiensi pendinginan dan distribusi suhu yang lebih merata.

Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 4.0 requires Vocational High Schools (SMK) to master key technologies such as 3D Printing. SMK Negeri 1 Windusari, the service partner, faces technology gaps, characterized by limited equipment and a lack of practical (hands-on) knowledge regarding FDM 3D Printing. The objective of this service is to enhance the knowledge and understanding of students, teachers, and lab assistants regarding 3D Printing (Additive Manufacturing) as a core pillar of Industry 4.0. The methodology involved integrating knowledge transfer and practical skills (learning by doing) using FDM machines. The service emphasized a participatory and community-driven relevance approach. Evaluation was conducted quantitatively using pre-test and post-test comparisons. Results showed a significant increase in competence, with the participants’ average score rising from 50.67 to 74. This strengthens the competence of the Machining Engineering Department, preparing adaptive graduates in the field of Additive Manufacturing.

Abstract

Thrust bearing merupakan komponen yang sangat penting pada elemen mesin untuk menahan beban aksial saat mesin sedang berputar. Berbagai rekayasa telah dilakukan untuk mendapatkan performa pelumasan yang terbaik. Saat ini, tekstur pada thrust bearing telah dikembangkan pada sistem pelumasan hidrodinamik. Modifikasi permukaan berupa pelapisan hidrofobik juga dapat memberikan dampak pada performa pelumasan hidrodinamik. Metode penyelesaian yang digunakan menjadi perlu dikaji secara lebih mendalam karena efek inersia yang terjadi pada aliran pelumasan. Pada penelitian ini, validitas modifikasi persamaan Reynolds dibandingkan dengan penyelesaian menggunakan persamaan Navier-Stokes yang mengakomodir adanya inersia. Pendekatan computational fluid dynamic (CFD) juga digunakan dalam pengujian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada konfigurasi Re = 0,280 dan λ = 250 tanpa menerapkan slip, efek yang diperoleh terhadap load support tidak terlalu berarti. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kedua persamaan dapat digunakan untuk kondisi ini. Akan tetapi terjadi perbedaan nilai load support yang signifikan yaitu sebesar 5,456% ketika slip dan inersia diterapkan. Maka, pada kondisi tersebut, persamaan N-S sangat dianjurkan untuk digunakan

Abstract

Salah satu kemajuan teknologi dalam robotika rumah tangga adalah robot penyedot debu. Meskipun terjadi peningkatan penjualan yang signifikan, harga robot ini masih relatif mahal. Robot penyedot debu ini dirancang untuk membersihkan ruangan dari debu atau kotoran kecil, bahkan sampai ke sudut-sudut ruangan. Hal ini sejalan dengan salah satu tujuan mendasar robot: untuk menggantikan tugas manusia yang berulang dan membosankan. Melihat beberapa contoh kemajuan teknologi robot, kegiatan sosialisasi ini dilakukan melalui metode pelatihan yang berfokus pada perancangan dan konstruksi robot penyedot debu mini untuk keperluan rumah tangga. Perancangan robot didasarkan pada platform tricycle dan Arduino Uno. Hasilnya, peserta mendapat tambahan pemahaman dan pengetahuan mengenai teknologi robotika. Terjadi transfer knowledge antara tim sosialisasi dengan para pemuda masjid. Pelatihan tersebut juga diikuti oleh anggota IPNU dan IPPNU di Desa Kalirejo, Kecamatan Salaman, Kabupaten Magelang.

Abstract

Shield Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) welding in practice often faces challenges in the form of defects in the joints which damage the quality of the connection. One implementation of welding connections is the process of making a paddock. Poor welding can damage the paddock and harm its users. The research aims to determine the effect of welding speed and electrodes on the tensile strength, hardness and microstructure of ST-37 steel welded joints. The research used AWS E 7016 and AWS E 6013 electrodes with a current of 100 amperes and varying welding speeds of 0.2 cm/s, 0.3 cm/s and 0.4 cm/s. The highest tensile strength for the AWS E 7016 electrode was 460.32 MPa and the lowest for the AWS E 6013 electrode was 256.02 MPa. The highest hardness value on AWS E 7016 was 236.07 MPa and the lowest was on AWS E 6013, amounting to 176.86 MPa. The ferrite composition dominates the weld metal. Because ferrite is ductile and not too hard, it means that the weld metal area is ductile and the hardness is not too high.
