Abstract

Penggunaan bahan bakar fosil semakin meningkat mendorong pengembangan Energi Baru Terbarukan (EBT). Salah satu sumber EBT adalah hydropower yang banyak ditemukan di Indonesia, termasuk Magelang. Sungai Ndas Gending misalnya cocok dimanfaatkan pada skala mikro. Penelitian ini menganalisi pengaruh sudut puntir helix pada turbin Savonius menggunakan simulasi Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tiga dimensi dengan membandingkan Savonius Hydrokinetics Turbine (SHT) dengan sudut puntir helix sebesar 45°; 67,5°; dan 90° kemudian akan diketahui torsi, Coefisien Power (CP), Coefisien Torsi (CT), dan kontur dari setiap simulasi. Kecepatan aliran menggunakan kecepatan rata-rata 0,7874 m/s saat musim kemarau dan saat musim hujan dengan kecepatan rata-rata 1,07 m/s. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan hasil bahwa SHT terbaik terjadi pada variasi sudut puntir helix sebesar 45° dengan torsi sebesar 1,466 Nm, disusul variasi sudut puntir helix 67,5° dengan torsi 0,184 Nm, dan yang terakhir variasi sudut puntir helix 90° dengan torsi 0,147 Nm, ketiga pengukuran dilakukan dengan kecepatan aliran saat musim kemarau.

Abstract

This study discusses the design and development of a Jominy Hardenability Test apparatus based on the ASTM A255 standard, which is used to determine the hardenability of metallic materials, particularly steel. The purpose of this research is to produce a Jominy testing device that meets standard specifications, perform structural analysis using CAD Software, and evaluate the functional performance of the manufactured tool. The research method consists of several stages, including 3D design using CAD Software, structural analysis simulation with the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) method covering von Mises stress, displacement, and safety factor, followed by the manufacturing process according to the design results. The simulation results show a maximum stress of 2.039 × 106 N/m², a maximum displacement of 5.8 × 10⁻¹ mm, and a safety factor value of 2.6, indicating that the design is structurally safe for production. The manufacturing process uses galvanized as the frame, body material and includes an additional cooling fan to maintain water temperature stability during the quenching process. The functional test results show that the tool can perform quenching effectively, producing a maximum hardness value of 370 VHN and a minimum value of 280 VHN on the steel specimen. This research is expected to contribute as a reference for the development of economical, efficient, and standard ASTM A255 compliant Jominy testing equipment for researh and development.

Abstract

Electric folding bikes are a modern transportation solution that offers practicality and efficiency of storage space. Production alternatives are needed to reduce dependence on pipes and welding processes. One alternative production process is to use the metal casting method. This study aims to design and analyze the strength the design of the frame, pillion, and battery holder of the electric folding bicycle for the metal casting process. The material used is A356 aluminum. The design and simulation process is carried out using CAD and CAE software. The loading simulation was conducted under real load conditions with a load of 99,5 kg. Based on the results of simulation and analysis, the design of the frame, bonnet, and battery compartment of the best electric folding bicycle has a von Mises stress value of 61,21 MPa, displacement of 1,712 mm, mass of 4,6 kg, and safety factor of 4,5.

Abstract

Perisai kolong mobil merupakan salah satu komponen yang digunakan untuk melindungi kendaraan angkutan ringan. Kurangnya perawatan dapat menimbulkan korosi yang dapat menimbulkan kerusakan pada perisai kolong mobil, sehingga dapat mempersingkat masa pakai perisai kolong mobil. Korosi terjadi pada perisai kolong mobil dapat menyebabkan pengeroposan pada perisai kolong mobil, sehingga perisai menjadi rapuh dan mudah patah atau putus. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menghambat laju korosi pada perisai kolong mobil. Spesimen material perisai kolong mobil yang digunakan baja SPHC JIS G3131. Penelitian dilakukan pengecatan powder coating pada baja SPHC untuk menganalisis kerekatan dan laju korosinya. Variasi peyemprotan dalam penelitian ini yaitu 15 cm, 20 cm, dan 25 cm. Hasil pengujian kerekatan cat dengam metode pengujian pull off adhesion didapatkan hasil pengukuran paling efektif pada variasi 25 cm dengan nilai 0,56 Mpa. Hasil uji laju korosi dengan metode EIS efektif pada variasi 25 cm dengan nilai korosinya -41267ohm.cm2. Penelitian baja SPHC dengan dilakukannya pelapisan cat powder coating dapat menurunkan nilai laju korosi dan memperpanjang umur baja SPHC

Abstract

Ngargogondo Tourism Village is one of the tourist villages in Magelang Regency, which is in the Balai Ekonomi Desa (Balkondes) area of the Borobudur Region. This tourist village was newly formed and was inaugurated in 2021. Meanwhile, marketing success is one factor determining a tourist village's development. In addition, other more attractive and anti-mainstream developments are needed with the surrounding tourist villages. The current study applied a descriptive qualitative research by conducting observations and interviews. Then, the information and data were measured and analyzed utilizing marketing mix, SWOT, and Business Model Canvas (BMC) analyses. This research procedure also consisted of three stages: data collection, data analysis, and presentation of data analysis results. The focus on the data analysis is based on the 9 aspects, including customer segment, value proposition, channels, customer relationship, revenue stream, key resources, key activities, key partnership, and cost structure. Based on this, a study is required to identify the marketing potential of Ngargogondo Village based on the marketing mix and then analyzed based on SWOT and Business Model Canvas (BMC) to develop a tourism business development plan base on industry 4.0 technology. Further, the research results can be used to formulate a marketing strategy for the Ngargogondo Tourism Village to develop its tourism business.

Abstract

Robot technology has penetrated various sectors, including households. One example of robotic innovation for household needs is the vacuum cleaner robot. This research aims to optimize sensor usage while implementing a differential drive system using a tricycle platform consisting of one caster wheel and two differential wheels. Testing was conducted in a space measuring 150 cm × 130 cm with obstacles such as a four-legged chair, cracker crumbs, sunflower seed husks, small pieces of paper, and a handful of dust (flour). The results showed that the robot could navigate quite smoothly and optimally even only using an HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor. However, more complex challenges within households, such as getting stuck in carpet rolls, handling various types of trash or debris, or moving in narrow spaces, are still aspects that this robot has not fully addressed
