Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought big changes to the world of education in Indonesia. To control the pandemic, the implementation of education has changed from face-to-face to online learning. In its implementation, it has several obstacles, including the unpreparedness of some parents to provide learning assistance and several other obstacles. Community service in the form of a learning assistance program at the homes of students affected by COVID-19 aims to help ease the burden on parents and students in doing school assignments, improve learning outcomes, and increase student learning motivation in online learning. These community service partners include the heads of RT and RW, related village officials, teachers or Ustadz, parents of students, and the surrounding community. The learning mentoring method used is expository or direct which emphasizes the process of delivering material verbally from tutors to students. This activity was carried out in collaboration with STAI Darul Falah KKN students who were formed into small groups, carried out in several stages, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the field findings, this service program provides considerable benefits to improving learning outcomes and the formation of student character. So it is very important to develop a similar program.

Abstract

Community service activities (PkM) in the KKN program can be used as a vehicle for the application and development of knowledge outside the campus. Through the voluntary blood donor social service program, it is hoped will increase the social awareness of STAI Darul Falah students about public health problems. The activity with the theme "A Drop of Your Blood, Hope for Others", is a strategy that can foster knowledge and practical experience in the field. So that students understand the benefits of blood donation not only textually but also contextually as one of the problems found in people's lives. The experience of working together in teams from various elements of society has increased the ability of students to take part in the community both disciplinary and interdisciplinary. This can hone their soft skills in building social networks. So that they are better prepared to be part of a productive and efficient society. Abstract

Real Work Lecture, Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) is a tangible manifestation in implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, one of which is community service where students must devote themselves wholeheartedly which is carried out with an approach in the community. This KKN is the task of universities to determine the regions and groupings determined by LP2M, the benefits of which are to introduce aspects of education, health and social society. With the KKN in Cicangkanggirang village, it is hoped that students will be able to optimize the form of kinship, good character and students are able to face problems that occur during times of crisis and are independent and able to think critically in facing challenges in real life. A program that has been successfully implemented includes in the field of education such as tutoring, smart homes, seminars and regular recitations. In the health sector, such as posyandu, blood donation and environmental hygiene and in the social sector, such as village administration services, distribution of BLT, donations to orphans, celebrating the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day, Tabligh akbar and helping UMKM. The obstacle found is the lack of concern for some of the community towards children's education and health, both for the environment and for themselves.

Abstract

Kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat dalam aktivitas keagamaan menjadi permasalahan yang terjadi di suatu wilayah. Hal tersebut menjadi salah satu permasalahan di Desa Wangunsari Kec.Sindangkerta. Dalam pengabdian ini kami hendak membuat program yang bisa mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Hal tersebut sangat penting untuk memajukan dan membangun budaya masyarakat yang religious. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah metode observasi, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Untuk mendukung fokus pengabdian sesuai dengan hasil yang diharapkan di lapangan. Pertama, Sasaran program Tahfidz yang semula hanya ruang lingkup pesantren bertambah dengan peserta didik atau murid sekolah dasar diluar ponpes. Kedua, peningkatan jumlah peserta hafalan juz 30 melalui program SADESHA menjadi bertambah. Ketiga, sudah mulai terlihatnya bentuk kaderisasi di bidang keagamaan untuk di kemudian hari menjadi suri tauladan di tengah-tengah masyarakat

Abstract

Students' problem-solving abilities still need to be considered higher. Therefore, variations are needed in learning models that can increase critical thinking and independence in learning. This research aims to test the effectiveness of the PBL learning model in improving students' problem-solving abilities in the subject of Jama Qasar prayers. This study uses a quasi-experiment to compare the pretest and posttest scores of two data groups. The N-Gain test was carried out to analyze the increase in the effectiveness of the treatment given, especially in comparing pretest and posttest data between two groups. Apart from that, hypothesis testing uses the Coefficients test from inferential analysis of linear regression tests. Meanwhile, the subjects of this research were class VII students at Yunior High School Darul Falah, West Bandung. This study did not use randomization, and the subjects were selected based on class availability. The research results show that the PBL learning model can significantly improve students' problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

Learning in the classroom must be carefully considered by the teacher, specifically how to create a conducive, enjoyable, active, interesting, and effective learning atmosphere aligned with the learning objectives. To achieve this goal, teachers are advised to utilize a variety of learning media, including audio-visual tools, to enhance student learning motivation. This study aims to analyze the impact of using audio-visual media on learning motivation, quantify the extent of the effect, and establish a linear regression equation. The linear regression equation is employed to determine the nature of the relationship between the use of audio-visual media and learning motivation, whether it is positive or vice versa. This research employs a quantitative approach through a survey method. The data collection technique involves using a questionnaire. Derived from the outcomes of this investigation, it is evident that there is a notable effect of audio-visual media usage on student learning motivation. This is substantiated by obtaining a significant value of 0.001 (<0.05) and further supported by the analysis of the t-score, which is 3.986 (>2.003). Consequently, there is a significant influence of audio-visual media usage on students' learning motivation.

Abstract

Di era digital yang semakin berkembang, teknologi telah masuk ke berbagai bagian kehidupan manusia, termasuk pendidikan. Baik pendidikan formal maupun nonformal. Sosialisasi ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman kepada guru dan orang tua siswa tentang pentingnya pemanfaatan teknologi di era digital dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan anak. Dalam upaya untuk memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap lingkungan sekitar lembaga perguruan tinggi, kegiatan sosialisasi ini merupakan bentuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui sharing informasi dan pengetahuan. Dalam sosialisasi ini dibahas berbagai masalah terkait teknologi di era digital yang dapat dimanfaatkan dalam dunia pendidikan. Permasalahan yang dibahas meliputi urgensi pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pendidikan, tantangan pendidikan anak di era digital, peran guru dalam mengoptimalkan teknologi, dan solusi implementasi teknologi di sekolah. Peserta dari sosialisasi ini adalah guru dan orangtua siswa. Peserta diharapkan dapat memahami pentingnya memanfaatkan teknologi di era digital untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan, sehingga sosialisasi ini diharapkan dapat memberikan perspektif baru untuk kemajuan sekolah. Abstract

While peer feedback has increased exponentially in recent decades, especially in English as foreign language writing classes, little attention has been paid to 1) framing peer feedback as part of multiple frames of written class; and 2) processed learning behaviors while emerging picture-based as visual assistance into account for young EFL learners in high school. It picked the interest of the writer to conduct a study to investigate the use of peer feedback and digital flashcards in teaching writing recount text. This study aims 1) to figure out the teacher’s steps in integrating peer feedback and digital flashcards in teaching writing recount text; and 2) to find out how students experienced it in the class. This study employed a qualitative method with a case study design and data were collected through observation, interview, and students’ documents of recount text. Observation data was analyzed using thematic analysis; interview result was transcribed reduced, categorized and interpreted; and students’ document recount text were analyzed to confirm the generic structure of recount text. The participants were the English teacher and 20 students experienced in learning writing recount text by integrating peer feedback and digital flashcards. The findings revealed that the English teacher integrated peer feedback and digital flashcards in teaching recount text in the eighth grade at an Integrated Islamic Junior High School in Pangandaran. The findings also showed that students felt peer feedback and digital flashcards positively affected their motivation to write recount text and improve their writing skills, especially writing recount text. Based on the findings, it was established that peer feedback and digital flashcards can be used as a teaching method to motivate students in writing recount text. In addition, it was a beneficial framework to stimulate them to produce better text easier and more engaging way. The writer suggests further research to examine the related topic on other aspects of English at different levels and with different numbers of participants.

Abstract

This research was conducted to gain knowledge and conduct a review of the implementation and analysis of the implementation of the Merseka Curriculum in Driving Schools, namely SDN 2 Cibunar and SDN 3 Kersamenak in Garut Regency. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach where data was collected by interviews, observation and documentation. The informants in this research were school principals, teachers, students and parents. To ensure the validity of the data, time was extended in collecting data, observing activities in the two elementary schools studied, and triangulating the data. The results of the research found that the Merdeka Curriculum must be implemented in Driving Schools, where in its implementation there are differences in stage achievements between SDN 2 Cibunar and SDN 3 Kersamenak

Abstract

General Background: Writing is a core English skill that requires mastery of vocabulary and grammar, yet students often struggle in both areas. Specific Background: At SMPN 2 Limbangan Garut, many eighth-grade students fail to meet writing performance standards due to limited vocabulary and grammar proficiency. Knowledge Gap: Despite the proliferation of AI tools in education, little is known about their effectiveness at the junior high school level in Indonesia, particularly in writing skills development. Aims: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of AzVocab.AI, an AI-powered vocabulary learning platform, in improving students’ writing outcomes through enhanced vocabulary and grammar acquisition. Results: Using a true experimental design with three learning cycles (pretest-treatment-posttest), the study found a consistent improvement in scores: vocabulary increased from 41.25 to 75.5 and grammar from 46.25 to 75.5. N-Gain scores were moderate, while regression analysis showed AzVocab.AI accounted for 77.9% of the vocabulary gains and 47.5% for grammar. Novelty: The study presents one of the first empirical validations of an AI-based tool’s impact on junior high school writing performance in Indonesia. Implications: These findings suggest integrating AzVocab.AI into English curricula could significantly enhance student autonomy and language skill development in secondary education settings.Highlight : AzVocab.AI significantly improved students’ vocabulary and grammar scores with a moderate N-Gain category. The platform supports self-directed learning by offering real-time feedback and contextual vocabulary exercises.
