Abstract

Community-based infrastructure development is a participatory approach that encourages active community involvement in the planning, implementation, and supervision of development. However, the success of this approach is highly dependent on the competence of the human resources involved. This community service activity aims to improve the technical and managerial competence of human resources in managing village-scale infrastructure development. The implementation methods include needs identification, simple construction technical training, project human resource management training, assistance in preparing the Budget Plan (RAB), and evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests. The results of the activity show an increase in participants' understanding of technical planning, quality control, labor management, and budget management transparency. This competency strengthening has resulted in increased effectiveness and quality of self-reliant development implementation. This activity has practical implications in the form of an integrated training model combining civil engineering and human resource management approaches that can be replicated in other regions to support participatory, accountable, and sustainable village development.

Abstract

Sistem drainase yang efektif dan efisien menjadi aspek krusial dalam pengelolaan kawasan yang memiliki potensi risiko genangan air, Booster Pump Station (BPS) merupakan fasilitas yang umumnya terletak di daerah dengan dataran yang memiliki elevasi cukup rendah. Keberadaan BPS rawan terhadap masalah genangan air akibat curah hujan yang tinggi dan kurang optimalnya sistem drainase yang ada. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kawasan Booster Pump Station dengan tujuan mendapatkan dimensi saluran, debit maksimum, tinggi muka air dan simulasi aliran air menggunakan software SWMM 5.2. Penelitian ini meliputi analisis hidrologi berupa perhitungan curah hujan menggunakan data curah hujan dari tahun 2004 sampai dengan 2023 pada stasiun curah hujan Cisalak Baru, Banjar Irigasi dan Cicinta. Perhitungan curah hujan rata-rata menggunakan metode Poligon Thiessen, curah hujan rancangan dihitung dengan Metode Log Pearson III sedangkan debit rancangan menggunakan metode Rasional. Debit saluran dan kecepatan aliran dihitung menggunakan persamaan manning. Dari penelitian ini didapatkan hasil debit rancangan untuk periode kala ulang 25 tahun adalah 0,64 m3/det. Dimensi saluran yang didapatkan untuk kala ulang 25 tahun adalah 0,70 m x 0,80 m sampai dengan 0,90 m x 0,90 m. Tinggi muka air maksimum yang didapatkan untuk kala ulang 25 tahun adalah 0,78 m. Simulasi aliran air didapatkan hasil ketinggian maksimum pada kala ulang 100 tahun terjadi pada menit ke 24 sedangkan debit maksimum pada kala ulang 25 tahun terjadi pada menit ke 24.

Abstract

The problem addressed in this study was the low level of scientific literacy skills among fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 6 Mesuji Timur. This study aimed describe and analyze the effect of using PhET Simulations on the improvement ofstudents’ scientific literacy in the IPAS subject. This study employed a quantitative research method with an experimental approach. A quasi-experimental method was used, applying a non-equivalent control group design. The research population consisted of 40 students. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling, specifically saturated sampling, in which the entire population was used as the research sample. Data were collected through tests, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using a simple linear regression test, which showed that the calculated F value was greater than or equal to the table F value. The results of this study indicated that the use of PhET Simulations in the IPAS subject had a significant effect on improving the scientific literacy of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 6 Mesuji Timur
