<![CDATA[People usually has their own faith whether it is related to the religious aspect or others, from time to time the discussion about faith still become the interesting topic because it can bring the positive impact for man live or in the contrary negative effect. In Faith defined as general religious attitude or accepted set of personal beliefs. Faith has been a part of religion, and explored by scholars from numerous disciplines. The present discussion focuses on theistic religious faith as a paradigm of the kind of faith that is of interest, though the question of faith outside this context is taken up in the final Section. The purpose of the research is to find out about faith in the novel written by C.S Lewis entitled the Lion, The witch, and the Wardrobe. This research is categorized as qualitative research because the data collected in the form of words rather than numbers. Objective approach is applied in analyzing the data. Research finding shows that there are some types of faith, they are faith to the existence of Narnia, faith to Aslan existence, and faith to God.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is titled "An Analysis of Politeness Maxims Used by the Main Character in Coco Movie," this study focuses on maxims related to the politeness principle by Leech. As a result, the researchers create a problem as follows: What kinds of maxims are used in the Coco Movie? The researchers employe Leech's Theory to address the question. The descriptive qualitative approach is employed in this study. The discussions in the Coco Movie script are the source of this study's data. After examining the data, it is discovered that the Movie Coco contains five maxims. The following are the statistics: 9 tact maxims, 5 generosity maxims, 1 modesty maxim, 4 approbation maxims, and 5 agreement maxims. Furthermore, tact maxim is the most frequently used maxim in Coco’s movie since the main character in this movie is concerned more with giving benefit to people around him, by using the tact maxim the speaker shows respect to the hearer by employing the tact maxim.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this research is to find out if the Tik-Tok English Acting Challenge videos may help students to improve their speaking ability especially their pronunciation.This is a quantitative study using pre-test and post-test design through an oral test.The subjects of this study were 20 students from SMA Negeri 2 Tondano's class 10 A. Based on the data obtained,the highest Pre-test score is 8 and the lowest is 4, while the highest Post-test score is 10 and the lowest is 6 with the mean score in the Pre-test is 4.7 and the mean score in the Post-test is 8.2. Significant improvements can be noted in this data, and it can be concluded that the feature of Tiktok English Acting Challenge videos successfull in enchancing and upgrading students' Speaking Ability]]>

<![CDATA[The aim of this research is to reveal about the deviance of Josephine and its impact that reflected in Agatha Christie’s Crooked House. This research is classified as a qualitative research because the data are taken only in the form of words as well as the quotations. The data sources are taken from the novel itself and supported by other books, dictionary, journals and other references from the internet as the secondary sources. In term of the analysis, the researchers use psychological approach because it is very close with human life, such as feelings, thoughts, and desires. The result of this study shows that there are acts of deviance done by Josephine and it has big impacts. Josephine is planned and killed her family members; she is even willing to hurt herself as an alibi. It happens because of the id of Josephine, the desires to take revenge without thinking about the consequences and the relationship between the perpetrator and the victims that should be satisfied. The impacts of the deviance Josephine done was the left people are living in fear and afraid of being the next target. It is ruining the whole family and also it will effect to their mental health.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to identify and describe a Deixis on Lalayan song lyric Minahasa’s Maengket Dance. It is conducted in order to explain what are the deixis and what were the Deixis meaning used on Lalayaan song lyric Minahasa Maengket Dance. In conducting this study, descriptive method is used. The data are collected through interview and observation, the researchers spent many times to interviewing the informant and note the data that relation with this study. The data are analyzed by following the steps of data reduction, data display and drawing conclusion. the result shows that there are 3 types of deixis and be find 37 deixis that use on Lalayaan song of Minahasa Maengket Dance. It is suggested that understand deixis analysis on Lalayaan song Minahasa Maengket dance should be consider in order to get the real meaning that the researcher or speaker exactly meaning.]]>

<![CDATA[The American dream depicted in the novel The Great Gatsby by Francis Scott Fitzgerald is the subject of this study. The American Dream is centered on success ambition, and in The Great Gatsby, the main character strives for greater heights than he has ever been. The author used qualitative research to examine the research's issue. The author used sociological proposition to analyze the novel for this study. A collection of ideas that provide an explanation for human society is known as a sociological proposition. Priorities, perspectives, and the data they define as significant are all important to propositions. Consequently, they present a specific and partial view of reality. There are a number of criteria that can be used to group sociological propositions together. The distinction between social action propositions and structural action propositions is the most significant of these. According to the structural proposition, the structure of our society is created by a network of connections. Our lives and characters are shaped by this structure. Underneath the facade of western individualism's free existence are structured sets of social connections. The particular set of structural laws that are in effect in any given society is the primary focus of structuralism.]]>

<![CDATA[The betrayal committed by a character named Professor Severus Snape. The writer believed that through this research it could contribute to the reader's understanding of what betrayal is, and also they could better understand why it was not good to commit an act of betrayal through this story from Professor Severus Snape, how a character named Professor Severus Snape did betrayal and the causes of it. Qualitative research was used in this study because the writer collects the data in the form of words. No formulas, diagram, or numbers in this research. In analyzing this research the writer used psychological approach, because this research was focused on itself. The results shows that there is a betrayal committed by Professor Snape whics not something commendable, whatever the reason or basis for Professor Snape's betrayal is unacceptable. Novel Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince is an exciting novel, which is not only able to entertain, but also can make a picture for the reader to become a better person. Therefore, this novel should be read and studied further so that the values contained in it can be revealed more deeply.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to reveal Lennie Small’s social interaction in the novel Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. This study was classified as a qualitative research because the writer gathered the data in the form of words as well as quotation from the work itself to support the research. The writer collected the data from two kinds of sources, namely primary source and secondary source. The primary source was taken from the novel Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck, and the secondary sources are the other material that supports the research such as books, articles, and websites. This study also used a sociological approach to explain the situation that occurred to Lennie Small immigrant worker and how his character development in that time as described in John Steinbeck novel Of Mice and Men. The result of this study showed that there are two kind of social interaction to reveal the main character Lennie Small; associative and dissociative.]]>

<![CDATA[The research is about improving the students’ vocabulary by using Mimicry Memorization Method of eighth grade at SMP Berea Tondano. The purpose of this research is to find out the students’ vocabulary improvement after teach by Mimicry Memorization Method. This research is quantitative research uses pre-experimental design with one group pre-test and pos-test. This study involves 18 students. The result of this study shows that the mean score of post-test (63,61) is higher than score of pre-test (55). The result of this research shows Mimicry Memorization Method is suitable to use in help the students to improve their vocabulary. English teacher suggests to apply Mimicry Memorization Method in order to help students to improve their vocabulary. The teacher should prepare the material well to get maximum result in teaching learning process. Teacher should create the condition of the class to be fun and livelier]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to uncover the involvement of millennials in the Black Lives Matter movement, which is also called The Millennial Movement against racial discrimination in Angie Thomas' novel, The Hate U Give. The researcher uses qualitative methods. The data are presented descriptively. The mimetic approach is used in this study to help the researcher examine the representation of the movement in the novel and its relationship with real-world movement. The results of the study indicate that millennials play an important role in the movement by participating in various forms of activities such as demonstrations, social actions, and social media to fight against social inequality, injustice, and discrimination towards Khalil and the black community. The implications of the research on the novel emphasize the importance of the younger generation in speaking up for justice in society. The novel encourages the younger generation to be courageous and use their voices to advocate for a more equitable and inclusive world. It teaches us that positive change can happen when we all work together, and that the younger generation can play a pivotal role in shaping a better future for us all.]]>
