Abstract

Abstract

Thematic-Exploratory-Democratic Learning (TED-L) is an instructional strategy that encourages students to engage in high-level thinking through exploring objects around them and democratic interactions. The aim of this study is to investigate: 1) The outcomes of exploring the physics context-concepts from students' empirical experiences themed around water in TED learning, and 2) How students' democratic interactions contribute to exploring the physics context-concepts from empirical experiences in TED learning. This research employs interpretative qualitative research methodology and data analysis using Miles and Huberman's model. It is part of a collaborative research comprising 3 stages out of the 6 overall stages of TED Learning: 1) Building TED Attraction Literacy, 2) Object Exploration, 3) Exploring individual learning attitudes and democratic learning attitudes. The findings of this study are: 1) Examining empirical experiences leads to a process of high-level thinking formed as an attempt to solve problems. 2) Democratic interactions enhance students' creativity, increase analytical levels, and foster critical thinking among learners, as well as boost engagement in exchanging and adding new information related to physics concepts in exploring empirical experiences.

Abstract

Model of Model-Based Instruction (MOMBI) is a learning model that emphasizes the formation of mental models through the stages of provocation, preconcept, presentation, scaffolding, and practice. The aim of this research is to determine the use of MOMBI in improving students’ learning results in Newton's Second Law material at SMA Negeri 1 Amurang. The method used in this research was quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample for this study was taken randomly with XI-H students as the experimental class with MOMBI treatment and XI-I students as the control class. Data was collected using essay tests and observation. The data obtained was then analyzed statistically. Based on the average results of the pretest and posttest for the control class, the average pretest value was 39.44 and the average posttest value was 56.67. A higher increase was obtained in the experimental class with an average pretest score of 41.67 and an average posttest score of 78.89. So it can be concluded that the Model of Model-Based Instruction can improve student’s learning results in Newton's Second Law at SMA Negeri 1 Amurang

Abstract

Physics learning is often faced with difficulties in understanding concepts that are difficult for students. Innovation in physics learning through local wisdom is a solution to make learning more relevant and interesting. This research aims to explore physics concepts in Toraja Pa'gellu dance using Guided Inquiry model. The qualitative research method was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 North Toraja with the subject of class XII IPA students. Data were collected through exploration sheets and analysed by data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed an increase in students' ability to explore physics concepts in Pa'gellu dance after using the Guided Inquiry learning model. The physics concepts identified include speed, acceleration, force, moment of force, and other physical variables. Exploration of physics concepts in the local wisdom of Toraja Pa'gellu dance has a positive impact on students' understanding of physics concepts.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes after participating in learning by using the application of the Scientific Approach to the material of bernouli's law. The method used in the research is the Classroom Action Research method through two cycles, namely the first cycle of two meetings and the second cycle of one meeting. The object of this research is class XI IPA students of SMA Negeri 2 Gemeh, totaling 16 students. The instruments used in this research are tests that are carried out at the end of each meeting and observation sheets. 16 students with the results of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor Learning Assessment at the first meeting the percentage of completeness was 31.5%, and increased at the second meeting to 62.5% while at the third meeting it was 93.75%. This shows that learning by using a scientific approach to the material of bernouli's law can improve student learning outcomes which can be seen in the final results, namely in the post test results of Cycle I, Cycle II and Cycle III..
