Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to examine how the motivation to watch mukbang influences attitudes towards watching content and para-social relationships, which ultimately result in the intention to watch content and purchase intention using the stimulus-organism-response (S-O-R) framework.Design/methodology/approach – Using a quantitative approach, this study was conducted on 400 respondents of generation Z and millennials selected using the purposive sampling method. The data obtained were processed using structural equation modeling with SmartPLS 3.0 software.Findings – The findings of this study indicate that visual appeal, auditory elements, and content variety can influence attitude toward mukbang content, while frequency of interaction, content relatability, and engagement level influence parasocial relationships. Furthermore, attitude toward mukbang content and parasocial relationships can lead to intention to watch mukbang, which also influences purchase intention.Research limitations/implications – This study only used samples from generation Z and millennials in Indonesia, which may not be fully representative of the wider population. Future studies could explore different demographic groups or add other variables such as emotional motivation.Practical implications – The results of this study provide insights for content creators and marketers to pay more attention to visual, auditory, and content variation elements in mukbang to increase audience engagement. Strengthening parasocial relationships can also be used as a marketing strategy to increase purchase intentions.Originality/value – This study highlights the influence of viewing motivation on attitudes and parasocial relationships in the context of mukbang, which is still rarely explored in the literature. This study contributes to the understanding of digital consumer behavior, especially among generation Z and millennials.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of perceived organizational support, organizational justice, and leadership style on employee job satisfaction with organizational commitment as a mediating variable (case study of PT. XYZ). The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a descriptive verification approach. Data were collected using a questionnaire distributed to 103 employees of PT. XYZ. The sample size was determined using a non-probability sampling technique, which is a sampling technique that does not provide an opportunity or chance for each member of the population to be selected as a sample. This study selected samples from the entire population of 103 people. The tool used to analyze the data in this study was SmartPLS-23, 2024. The data obtained were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique to test the relationship between variables. The results showed that perceived organizational support did not have a positive effect on organizational commitment, but there was a direct effect on job satisfaction while organizational justice and leadership style had a positive effect on organizational commitment, which then affected job satisfaction and confirmed the mediating role of organizational commitment between organizational justice on job satisfaction and leadership style on job satisfaction. The statistical results show significant t-statistics and p-values, indicating a strong predictive relevance of the model. The statistical results of leadership style on job satisfaction directly show weak t-statistics and p-values, so that leadership style does not have a direct effect on job satisfaction, but has a positive effect through organizational commitment, which then affects job satisfaction. This indicates the need for increased support and fairness from the organization to increase employee commitment and job satisfaction. In particular, the results of the study highlight the need for a better leadership style strategy to achieve more optimal employee loyalty and job satisfaction.

Abstract

The focus of this research is to measure the impact of price and product quality on repeat purchase intention through customer satisfaction as an intervening variable. The population of this study was Shopee sellers who have used Shopeasytools for at least one month. The study employed a quantitative methodology and purposive sampling as a technique to determine the sample. The researcher determined 100 Shopeasytools users as respondents in this study. Smart PLS and structural equation modeling (SEM) were utilized to examine the theoretical model proposed. The bootstrapping method is utilized to examine the hypothesis and the mediating role of customer satisfaction. The results showed that repeat purchase intention is positively and significantly affected by price and product quality. Furthermore, Indirect research findings indicate that the effect of price on repurchase intentions is positively and significantly mediated by customer satisfaction as an intervening variable. In addition, repurchase intention is positively and considerably mediated by customer satisfaction as an intervening variable, which in turn fully explains the influence of product quality. The importance of customer satisfaction in determining repurchase intention is highlighted by this finding. A good price point coupled with high product quality is likely to enhance customer satisfaction, subsequently motivating consumers to engage in repeat purchases from Shopeasytools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis bagaimana pengaruh remunerasi dan motivasi terhadap kinerja. Penelitian dilakukan pada Kejaksaan Negeri Purwakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif verifikatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik sensus sebanyak 40 responden. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linear berganda melalui software statistik SPSS versi 26. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa remunerasi, motivasi berpengaruh terhadap kinerja pegawai baik secara parsial maupun simultan.

Abstract

The hospitality industry, particularly 5-star hotels at the pinnacle of this sector, heavily relies on exceptional service quality standards to uphold the brand reputation, customer satisfaction, and overall Customer Experience (CX). Achieving these high standards largely depends on Employee Engagement (EE), as well as employee satisfaction and retention, given that employees serve as the hotel's frontline brand ambassadors. However, the industry—including the 5-star Hotel X in Bali—faces a higher employee turnover rate than other sectors. One of the ways that Hotel X fosters employee engagement (EE) is by implementing internal employer branding (IEB) initiatives. This study aims to measure the effect of Internal Employer Branding (IEB) and Leadership Style (LS) —a key factor influencing employee turnover—on Employee Engagement (EE), with Employee Experience (EX) acting as a mediating variable. The research employs Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis using a saturated sample of 252 respondents. Hypothesis testing results indicated that 4 out of 5 direct effect hypotheses positively affect their latent variables, and 1 of 2 specific indirect effect (mediation) hypotheses directly impact Employee Engagement (EE). The findings suggest that Employee Experience (EX) substantially mediates internal employer branding (IEB) and Employee Engagement (EE). However, Leadership Style (LS) proved to be more effective in directly enhancing Employee Engagement (EE) than through Employee Experience (EX).

Abstract

UMKM di Jawa Barat masih memiliki banyak keterbatasan, antara lain kurangnya permodalan untuk mengembangkan usaha, minimnya akses perijinan dan akses pemasaran produk, belum optimal dalam pemanfaatan teknologi informasi seperti e-commerce, serta kurangnya kemampuan para pelaku UMKM dalam manajemen bisnis skala UKM. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, tim pelaksana mengadakan kegiatan pelatihan dan penyuluhan yang terkait dengan tema œDigital Transformation Strategy Competencies Development to Create Sustainable Business for MSMEs in Bandung City.Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat yang berupa pemaparan materi mengenai bisnis pasar global dilaksanakan pada 26 Oktober 2023. Sebanyak 42 mitra UMKM KADIN Kota Bandung yang menghadiri kegiatan ini memiliki usaha di bidang kuliner, fashion, jasa dan perdagangan. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, kegiatan berjalan dengan baik dan materi pelatihan sesuai dengan kebutuhan kerja. Tindak lanjut dari kegiatan ini adalah diperlukannya program keberlanjutan dengan bantuan dosen Program Pascasarjana Magister Manajemen Universitas Widyatama dan KADIN Kota Bandung untuk membangun technopreneurship dan kebersamaan antar komunitas UMKM melalui Forum Informasi/ Komunikasi media.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of human resource development and work motivation on job satisfaction of employees of PT. Istana Bukit Kencana Makmur. The research method used in this research is a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all employees at PT. Istana Bukit Kencana Makmur which amounted to 150 employees. The sampling technique used the Slovin formula so that the total sample used was 60 employees. While the data collection technique uses a questionnaire distributed to employees. The data analysis technique used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination, and T test with the help of the SPSS program. The results of this study indicate that the variables of human resource development and work motivation have a significant effect on employee job satisfaction.

Abstract

The coffee shop business in Indonesia has become a trend in recent years. Osiris Coffee is a business unit that provides customers with services and products. Over the last six months, Osiris Coffee has experienced a decline in the number of customers, which is believed to be due to the coffee shop's less strategic location and atmospheric store, which cannot compete with other coffee shops. This research aims to determine the effect of location and store atmosphere on customer loyalty at Osiris Coffee. It is quantitative and uses an Osiris Coffee customer analysis unit. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to 84 customers. The results of hypothesis testing state that store location has a partial effect on customer loyalty, and store atmosphere has a partial effect on customer loyalty. Apart from that, store location and store atmosphere simultaneously positively and significantly affect customer loyalty. The results of hypothesis testing in this research have a positive effect both partially and simultaneously.

Abstract

Motivasi adalah dorongan seseorang untuk mencapai tujuan yang diharapkan. Dalam suatu organisasi, motivasi yang tinggi akan meningkatkan kinerja organisasi tersebut. Peningkatan motivasi ini dapat didorong oleh pengembangan karir dan kepemimpinan yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pengembangan karir dan kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja organisasi melalui motivasi sebagai variabel mediasi. Populasi penelitian adalah pegawai yang bekerja di UPTD PLDDIG, dengan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan stratified random sampling dan melibatkan 100 responden dari setiap divisi. Model teoritis diuji menggunakan Smart PLS 4.0 dan structural equation modeling (SEM), serta metode bootstrapping untuk menguji hipotesis dan peran mediasi motivasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan karir dan kepemimpinan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja organisasi. Selain itu, motivasi sebagai variabel mediasi terbukti menjadi partial mediation antara pengembangan karir terhadap kinerja organisasi secara positif dan signifikan. Begitu pula, motivasi juga menjadi partial mediation antara kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja organisasi secara positif dan signifikan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa upaya peningkatan pengembangan karir dan kepemimpinan tidak hanya berdampak langsung terhadap peningkatan kinerja organisasi, tetapi juga secara tidak langsung melalui peningkatan motivasi pegawai. Dengan demikian, organisasi perlu memperhatikan pengembangan karir dan gaya kepemimpinan yang diterapkan, serta terus mendorong motivasi kerja pegawai untuk mencapai kinerja organisasi yang optimal.

Abstract

Pengembangan sumber daya manusia merupakan komponen terpenting khususnya dari segi keberhasilan tujuan yang dicapai. Strategi sumber daya manusia, pembinaan, implementasi kebijakan dan disiplin pegawai pada pegawai di Lingkungan Daerah Provinsi Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini mengamati dan menganalisis menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif yang didefinisikan sebagai alat untuk menggambarkan situasi dan kondisi fakta dan gejala mereka yang diperoleh adapun alat analisis yang digunakan adalah menggunakan SEM dengan menggunakan 185 sampel pegawai di Lingkungan Daerah Provinsi Jawa Barat. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa Strategi sumber daya manusia, pembinaan, implementasi kebijakan dan disiplin pegawai di lingkungan pemerintah daerah provinsi jawa barat memiliki klasifikasi penilaian sangat baik. Strategi sumber daya manusia berpengaruh terhadap implementasi kebijakan pada pegawai di lingkungan pemerintah daerah provinsi jawa barat. Pembinaan berpengaruh terhadap implementasi kebijakan pada pegawai di lingkungan pemerintah daerah provinsi jawa barat. Strategi sumber daya manusia berpengaruh terhadap disiplin pegawai pada pegawai di lingkungan pemerintah daerah provinsi jawa barat. Pembinaan berpengaruh terhadap disiplin pegawai pada pegawai di lingkungan pemerintah daerah provinsi jawa barat.
