Abstract

The number of traffic accidents in Indonesia is increasing. One of the main factors causing an accident is the driver's drowsiness. In general, drowsiness appears at night when the body needs rest. However, some of them appear due to fatigue during activities, situations like this need to be considered when we are driving so that the number of accidents caused by drowsiness can be avoided. From these problems, we need a tool that can automatically detect whether the car driver is sleepy or conscious using a facial landmark method. Where in the early stages it starts with taking pictures using the Raspberry Pi camera which will be processed by the Raspberry Pi 3b to detect facial areas using the eye aspect ratio then the algorithm on the eye aspect ratio is used to detect sleepy eyes with the output in the form of speakers and water pumps, where the speakers will emits a sound that can be changed according to the wishes of the driver. After the speaker sounds, the water pump will spray water on the face to react so that the driver doesn't get sleepy.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the largest producers/producers and consumers of natural gas in the world. The large demand for gas makes the gas industry continue to produce. Gas pipes used in industry have very large sizes. This makes it difficult for workers to carry out pipe maintenance. In the gas production process, there is the possibility of gas leaks that threaten the safety of the workers. Therefore, this research is expected to help workers. A mobile pipe following robot that can detect gas leaks. Robot control can be done manually and automatically. The robot is also based on the internet of things that can be controlled via an android application and the gas leak data will be stored in a web database.

Abstract

ABSTRACTStroke is a disease that can be suffered by anyone and its handling is not easy. Many stroke survivors still have to undergo treatment at the hospital and this process takes a long time. Stroke sufferers need to undergo a therapeutic process so that the function of the limbs can be moved again, such as the feet, hands, and fingers. There needs to be special staff so that the therapy process can run well. Tools that can support this therapy will also greatly affect the therapeutic process. Based on this, stroke therapy robot arm was built as a tool for carrying out therapy for stroke sufferers. The Robot tangan terapi stroke consists of two parts, a glove for the therapist and a hand frame for the sufferer. This tool works by reading the resistance of the potentiometer in the therapist's hand, then the information is transmitted to the patient's hand via a wireless communication line using the nRF24L01 module. This information will drive five servo motors that are used to move the patient's fingers.Keywords: Stroke, nRF24L01, Potentiometer. ABSTRAK Stroke merupakan penyakit yang dapat diderita siapa saja dan penanganannya tidak mudah. Banyak penderita stroke yang masih harus menjalankan perawatan di rumah sakit dan proses ini membutuhkan waktu yang lama. Penderita stroke perlu menjalani proses terapi agar fungsi anggota gerak dapat digerakkan kembali seperti kaki, tangan, hingga jari jemari. Perlu ada tenaga khusus agar proses terapi dapat berjalan dengan baik. Alat yang dapat menunjang terapi ini juga akan sangat berpengaruh terhadap proses terapi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dibangunlah Robot tangan terapi stroke sebagai alat bantu untuk menjalankan terapi penderita stroke. Robot tangan terapi stroke terdiri dari dua bagian, sarung tangan untuk terapis dan kerangka tangan untuk para penderita. Alat ini bekerja dengan membaca resistansi dari potensiometer di tangan terapis yang kemudian informasinya ditransmisikan ke tangan penderita melalui jalur komunikasi nirkabel menggunakan modul nRF24L01. Informasi ini akan menggerakan lima motor servo yang digunakan untuk menggerakan jari jemari penderita.Kata kunci: Stroke, nRF24L01,  Potensiometer.

Abstract

Damage to the bridge resulted in disruption of the activities of residents who want to cross the bridge. Damage to the bridge is not only due to problems with the infrastructure but can also be caused by humans, one of which is due to excess capacity on the bridge so that the construction of the bridge cannot hold or accommodate many people resulting in the bridge collapsing and resulting in several fatalities. This research is expected to help reduce and prevent damage to the bridge structure by implementing a Load Sensor using the ESP8266 microcontroller. This system is based on the Internet of Things (IoT). Based on the research results, when the condition of the bridge has no visitors, the resulting weight is 0, the display on the serial monitor "No Visitors..!!,","LOADS ARE SAFE..!!". weight of 3 kg, display on the serial monitor "LOAD SAFE.. !!,", "Number of visitors = 5", "LOAD = 3.03 kg". , a warning will appear "Visitors Full = 10", "LOAD OVER", "Number of Visitors = 10", "IN = 10", "OUT = 0", "LOAD = 6.67kg" on the Serial Monitor. the number of visitors will decrease when visitors leave the bridge.

Abstract

PID control has been used in simple or complex machine control. Coffee is an agricultural commodity that is widely used as a food and beverage ingredient. Coffee bean roasting is required before it can be further processed (consumed). This research was conducted to create an automatically controlled coffee bean roaster using the Ziegler-Nichols type-1 PID method. This coffee bean roaster is made with a series of roasters, DC motors, servo motors, ESP32, thermocouple sensors, load cell sensors, ceramic stoves, and other supporting components. The bitterness variations of the coffee beans produced are "light" (3-5% moisture content), "medium" (5-8% moisture content), and "dark" (8-12% moisture content). The Ziegler-Nichols PID control is implemented on this machine to control the degree of rotation of the gas faucet servo motor on the stove so that the temperature in the roasting pan matches the specified set point. Based on the results of the research that has been done, the implementation of PID control was successfully carried out at the temperature set point used, 145˚C with a 7,2 KP value, a 0.034 KI value, and a 413.6 KD value. The research tools measurement’s average error was 0.32% for temperature, and 0.24% for weight.

Abstract

Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk membuat sistem keamanan termonitor dengan pengenalan wajah pada boarding house dengan mengontrol akses keluar-masuk boarding house. Pengenalan wajah dilakukan menggunakan metode Haar Cascade Classifier. Metode ini merupakan salah satu metode yang  digunakan dalam pendeteksian wajah manusia dan memiliki kelebihan komputasi yang cepat karena hanya bergantung pada jumlah piksel dalam persegi dari sebuah image. Implementasi sistem ini dibuat dengan menggunakan kontroler Raspberry Pi dengan kamera, ESP32, sensor ultrasonik, motor DC beserta driver BTS7960, prototipe akses boarding house, buzzer, dan kartu RFID. Penelitian ini berhasil dibangun dan mengimplementasikan metode Haar cascade classifier pada akses boarding house dengan hasil pengenalan wajah yang akurat dari 8 data sampel serta rata-rata akurasi yang diperoleh sebesar 80% dengan intensitas cahaya 100±4 lux.

Abstract

Salah satu usaha andalan peternak yang bergerak di bidang peternakan adalah beternak ayam dan itik. Setiap tahun data statistik mencatat bahwa kebutuhan masyarakat akan daging ayam terus meningkat. Secara tidak langsung hal ini akan berdampak positif bagi peternak khususnya peternak ayam. Peternak ayam akan berusaha meningkatkan usaha pembibitan ayamnya, yang bertujuan untuk mencegah penurunan harga ayam pedaging dan ayam petelur. Pada penelitian ini telah dibuat alat penetas telur otomatis dengan menerapkan metode pemerataan pemanasan buatan. Mesin penetas telur dibuat dengan memperhatikan kondisi suhu yang ideal untuk mengerami telur ayam yaitu 35,3 0C – 40,5 0C, dengan kelembaban di dalam mesin berkisar antara 70%-80%. Mesin ini memiliki kapasitas untuk 60 butir telur. Mesin penetas telur ini merupakan modifikasi dari alat yang dibuat sebelumnya yang dilengkapi dengan kipas sebagai sirkulasi udara. Dan tidak perlu roller untuk memutar atau membolak-balik telur karena telur sudah dipanaskan secara otomatis.

Abstract

Children who lack motivation and interest in learning and reading often demonstrate apathy and are easily discouraged, leading to a lack of concentration on their educational pursuits. As a result, these students face challenges in their academic journey. Therefore, it is crucial to make concerted efforts to enhance children's literacy by implementing the reading aloud approach, which can positively influence their overall growth and development in the Rusunawa Ciseureuh Purwakarta community. The primary objective of this program is achieved through the utilization of the reading-aloud technique. The anticipated outcomes of this program encompass increased children's motivation and interest in literacy, which will be supported by supplementary elements such as incorporating enjoyable learning techniques, engaging in gardening activities, decorating pots, and providing incentives for participating children.

Abstract

This research presents a colour-based object detection system utilizing the HSV colour space and a decision tree model. Achieving an overall precision, recall, and F1-score of 0.98, the system demonstrates robust detection capabilities across various cube colours: blue (0.87-0.89), green (0.87-0.92), yellow (0.74-0.80), red (0.77-0.89), and purple (0.89-0.94). Additionally, the performance evaluation of a robot arm in object manipulation reveals an 80% success rate and a 20% failure rate. Testing across five trials per colour shows successful identification and manipulation distributions for blue (4 successes, 1 failure), green (4 successes, 1 failure), yellow (4 successes, 1 failure), red (4 successes, 1 failure), and purple (5 successes, 0 failures). These findings suggest potential applications in industrial automation tasks requiring reliable colour-based object classification and manipulation, albeit with opportunities for further enhancement to minimize failure rates.

Abstract

Banana is one of the most popular fruits in Indonesia, and its freshness will be the top priority for consumers in choosing it. After packaging, special treatment needs to be done in the banana storage room. One of them is to keep the temperature of the storage room stable. The temperature of the room between 5oC to 10oC is the ideal temperature for storing bananas, the Control system offered is PID with the Ziegler-Nichols method to get the values of Kp, Ki and Kd. Determination of Kp, Ki and Kd values is very important to get good system stability and a small error. The tuning rule of Ziegler-Nichols 1 method can be applied to obtain the values of Kp, Ki and Kd. With several steps taken, the values of L = 90s and T = 206s are obtained and referring to the Ziegler-Nichols 1 table, the values of Kp = 2.7, Ki = 0.015 and Kd = 121.5 are determined.
