Abstract

This study is a development research that aims to develop and produce learning module in the form of comics based on augmented reality in Chemical Bonds learning subject. The development model used in the study refers to the 4D development model by Thiagarajan et al. The limited trial of this learning module was conducted at UPT SMAN 11 Pinrang. The results of the study reveal that (1) the development process of learning module employed the 4-D model which included 4 stages, namely (a) defining (define), (b) design, (c) development (develop), and (d) disseminating (disseminate), (2) the learning module is valid, effective, and practical. The validity of the module by the material experts obtained moderate validity and by the media experts obtained high validity categories. Limited field trials to 33 students of class X MIPA 1 obtained 81% class completeness after using the module. The learning motivation after using the module obtained an average score of 86 which was higher than before using the module which was 75. The effectiveness of learning module was also obtained by comparing the learning motivation of students based on the paired sample t-test with a significance p value smaller than α (0.00 < 0.05). The responses of students and teachers to the learning module developed also obtained a very practical category so that the media is confirmed to be practical.

Abstract

The Effect of Animation Media based on Macromedia Flash in Discovery Learning Model Toward Students Learning Outcomes in Class XI IPA SMA Negeri 5 Makassar (Study on Buffer Solution). Thesis. Study of Chemistry Education. Chemisty Department. Faculty of Mathematics and Science. State University of Makassar (Supervised by Taty Sulastry and Sudding). This research was quasi experiment research that aimed to know the effect of animation media based on macromedia flash in discovery learning model toward students learning outcomes in class XI IPA SMA Negeri 5 Makassar study on buffer solution. The research design was posttest only control group design. The population of this research was students in class XI IPA SMA Negeri 5 Makassar that consist of eight classes. Sampling was conducted by random sampling. The experimental group was XI IPA 1 and the control group was XI IPA 2. The average of learning outcomes of experimental group was 80,86 higher than the control group was 63,69. Inferential statistic analysis toward students learning outcomes showed that data on the experimental group and the control group were homogeneous but not normally distributed so hypothesis testing using non parametric test by Mann-Whitney with ∝ = 0,05 obtained Zcount>Ztable (5,56 >1,64). It shows there was an effect of animation media based on macromedia flash in discovery learning model toward students learning outcomes in class XI IPA SMA Negeri 5 Makassar on subject matter of buffer solution.

Abstract

This research is a research and development (Research and Development) that aims to produce a chemistry learning media product through comic visualization on chemical bonding material with a cooperative learning model of the NHT (Number Heads Together) type that is valid and effective. The development of learning media through comic visualization refers to the 4-D development model by Thiagarajan which includes the stages of defining, designing, developing and disseminating. This learning media has gone through a validation stage by validators/experts and has gone through limited trials, and has been revised by the developer to produce learning media that is valid, effective, and practical. The results of this study are: 1) assessment of the feasibility/validity of the media by 3 experts/validators in the very valid category; 2) at the limited trial stage to 21 students obtained an average learning outcome test score of 75 out of an ideal score of 100 with class completion of 81% or 17 people who completed. So the conclusion is that the learning media through comic visualization is valid after going through a feasibility test by the validator and effective after a limited trial was conducted on class X.3 students of SMAN 11 Pinrang.

Abstract

Transformasi digital menuntut perguruan tinggi untuk menyediakan media pembelajaran yang mendukung kebutuhan generasi mahasiswa saat ini. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran aktif mahasiswa melalui implementasi e-modul pada mata kuliah Strategi dan Metode Pembelajaran di Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia Universitas Negeri Makassar. Kegiatan ini melibatkan tahap perancangan, pembuatan e-modul, uji keterbacaan terbatas, dan sosialisasi. Hasil uji coba keterbacaan menunjukkan bahwa e-modul ini sangat praktis, dengan tingkat penerimaan sebesar 81,55%. E-modul ini dianggap mendukung pembelajaran interaktif, Kegiatan ini menyimpulkan bahwa e-modul merupakan media yang efektif untuk mendukung pembelajaran aktif di era digital, dengan rekomendasi peningkatan literasi digital bagi mahasiswa dan dosen.

Abstract

   This quasi-experimental study investigated the impact of using Macromedia Flash-based animation media integrated with the Discovery Learning model on the learning outcomes of Class XI Science students at SMA Negeri 5 Makassar regarding buffer solutions. Employing a posttest-only control group design, the research sampled from a population of eight XI Science classes using random sampling. Class XI Science 1 served as the experimental group, while XI Science 2 was the control group. The experimental group achieved a significantly higher average learning outcome score (80.86) compared to the control group (63.69). Inferential statistical analysis (Mann-Whitney U test, α = 0.05) revealed that while the data was homogeneous, it was not normally distributed. The result (Z_count = 5.56 > Z_table = 1.64) indicates a statistically significant positive effect of the Macromedia Flash-based animation media within the Discovery Learning model on student learning outcomes for the buffer solution topic.

Abstract

This type of research is an experimental research involving two experimental groups. The sample in this study was class XII. 1 as experimental class 1 and class XII. 2 as experimental class 2. Data were collected using questionnaires, tests, and observation sheets. The data were then analyzed descriptively and two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and continued with a post hoc test. The results of the study showed that (1) the average mathematics learning achievement of students using the Talk Stick cooperative learning model was 88.7 out of an ideal value of 100 with a very high category, (2) the average mathematics learning achievement of students using the Example Non-Example cooperative learning model was 87.6 out of an ideal value of 100 with a very high category, (3) there was a significant difference in mathematics learning achievement between students with high, medium, and low learning motivation with a significance of 0.001, and (4) there was no interaction between the cooperative learning model and motivation on mathematics learning achievement with a significance of 0.306.

Abstract

Kemampuan dalam menyusun literature review merupakan keterampilan esensial dalam penulisan karya tulis ilmiah di perguruan tinggi. Namun, banyak mahasiswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep literature review dan memanfaatkan aplikasi manajemen referensi. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, telah dilaksanakan kegiatan pelatihan bertema “Literature review guna meningkatkan pemahaman mendalam menyusun karya tulis ilmiah bagi mahasiswa Jurusan Kimia FMIPA Universitas Negeri Makassar”. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup penyuluhan teoritis, bimbingan teknis, praktik mandiri, serta evaluasi melalui angket pre-test dan post-test dengan enam butir pertanyaan sebagai indikator kompetensi. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 20 mahasiswa aktif angkatan 2023–2024. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman mahasiswa, terutama pada pemahaman dasar literature review, pengorganisasian literatur, serta pembuatan daftar pustaka otomatis. Sebanyak 60–75% peserta menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi pada indikator utama. Kegiatan ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam menyusun karya tulis ilmiah berbasis referensi yang relevan dan terstruktur. Kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam peningkatan literasi ilmiah mahasiswa serta mengurangi risiko plagiarisme akibat kesalahan sitasi.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan untuk menjawab kesenjangan kompetensi metodologis mahasiswa Jurusan Kimia UNM dalam merancang karya tulis ilmiah, khususnya pemahaman pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Tujuan utamanya adalah meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam merancang dan menulis karya tulis ilmiah melalui pendalaman kedua pendekatan penelitian tersebut. Pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan metode penyuluhan materi teoritis, praktik terbimbing dengan teknik pendampingan bertahap mulai dari identifikasi masalah hingga analisis data, serta evaluasi pre-test dan post-test melalui angket via google form. Kegiatan melibatkan satu kelompok berjumlah 16 mahasiswa aktif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada seluruh indikator: pemahaman perbedaan pendekatan meningkat dari 31,25% menjadi 56,25%, penyusunan rumusan masalah dari 18,75% menjadi 50%, pengolahan data perangkat lunak dari 25% menjadi 68,75%, dan interpretasi hasil kualitatif dari 12,5% menjadi 68,75%. Manfaat utama bagi peserta mencakup peningkatan keterampilan metodologis, kemampuan analisis data, motivasi penelitian, serta kesadaran akan integritas ilmiah. Kegiatan ini berhasil memberdayakan mahasiswa melalui model pelatihan partisipatif dengan kebaruan pada integrasi teknik pendampingan bertahap dan kolaborasi aktif dalam internalisasi metodologi penelitian.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan tingkat kepekaan lingkungan mahasiswa melalui penerapan pembelajaran kimia hijau pada materi asam basa. Pendekatan kimia hijau dipilih karena relevansinya dalam mengintegrasikan aspek kognitif dan afektif, khususnya dalam menumbuhkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi serta karakter peduli lingkungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain deskriptif korelasional. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 28 mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia Universitas Negeri Makassar yang dipilih secara purposive, dan telah mengikuti pembelajaran kimia hijau pada topik asam basa. Instrumen pengumpulan data meliputi tes kemampuan berpikir kritis serta angket kepekaan lingkungan. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa adalah 83, sedangkan kepekaan lingkungan mencapai nilai rata-rata 74. Uji korelasi Pearson menghasilkan koefisien sebesar 0,117 yang termasuk dalam kategori hubungan sangat lemah dan tidak signifikan secara statistik. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis tidak secara langsung berkorelasi dengan peningkatan kepekaan lingkungan. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi pembelajaran yang tidak hanya menekankan penguatan aspek kognitif, tetapi juga secara eksplisit mengembangkan dimensi afektif melalui pengalaman kontekstual dan reflektif dalam isu-isu lingkungan.
