Abstract

Electricity consumption has become an integral part of daily life and is pivotal in supporting various aspects of human life. North Aceh Regency, a tropical region in Indonesia, experiences significant seasonal fluctuations between the rainy and dry seasons. This research aims to investigate and analyze the impact of these seasonal differences on electricity consumption patterns by consumers in the region using the IBM SPSS statistical method. Monthly electricity consumption data from consumers in North Aceh Regency over a specific period were collected and analyzed using IBM SPSS software. Descriptive statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and regression models were employed to identify significant differences in electricity consumption between the rainy and dry seasons and to understand the factors influencing consumption patterns. The results of the analysis indicate a significant difference in electricity consumption between the rainy and dry seasons in North Aceh Regency. The dry season shows an increase in electricity consumption, possibly related to factors such as the use of air conditioning and additional lighting.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mensintesis n-HAp (Hydroxyapatite nanoparticle) secara alami dari limbah cangkang bekicot dan mengevaluasi aktivitas antibakterinya sebagai kandidat material biomedis. Limbah cangkang bekicot telah diidentifikasi sebagai sumber potensial untuk memperoleh n-HAp, yaitu salah satu material bioaktif yang memiliki aplikasi luas dalam bidang biomedis. Proses sintesis n-HAp dilakukan menggunakan metode sol-gel dan dikarakterisasi dengan menggunakan teknik analisis FTIR, XRD, dan SEM. Hasil karakterisasi XRD menunjukkan bahwa n-HAp yang dihasilkan memiliki kesesuaian yang baik terhadap data model. Lebih lanjut, pembentukan n-HAp dari cangkang bekicot juga dikonfirmasi dengan FTIR. Keberhasilan sintesis ini ditandai dengan adanya vibrasi pita P-O dari tetrahedral PO4 disekitar bilangan gelombang 1062 cm-1. Gugus karbonat CO32− pada spektra IR juga diidentifikasi dengan kuat pada bilangan 1460 cm−1. Selain itu, berdasarkan analisis SEM, ukuran partikel n-HAp berada dikisaran 43,2 nm. Untuk menunjang potensi aplikasinya sebagai material biomedis, uji aktivitas antibakteri juga dilakukan pada bakteri Staphylococcus aureus melalui metode sumuran agar. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa n-HAp memiliki zona hambat sebesar 5 mm dan menunjukkan potensi aktivitas antibakteri yang cukup baik. Hal ini dikaitkan dengan keberadaan mineral Ca2+ (kalsium) dan Na+ (natrium) yang terkandung pada n- Hap. Kehadiran ion kalsium dan natrium ini dapat mengganggu keseimbangan ion dalam sel dan mengganggu berbagai proses biologis dalam sel bakteri,sehingga, aktivitas metabolisme dan reproduksi bakteri dapat terganggu dan mengakibatkan penghambatan pertumbuhan bakteri.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada Masyarakat oleh tim pengabdian Departemen Fisika Universitas Negeri Malang bertujuan untuk mendukung implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di SMA Negeri 1 Turen melalui pelatihan pembuatan website pembelajaran berbasis Google Sites serta pemanfaatan teknologi kecerdasan buatan (AI). Pelatihan ini berfokus pada peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan adaptif menggunakan teknologi digital. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa 85% peserta mampu membuat dan mengelola website pembelajaran, serta 90% berhasil mengintegrasikan AI dalam pembuatan materi pembelajaran interaktif. Teknologi yang diperkenalkan memungkinkan guru menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih fleksibel, interaktif, dan responsif terhadap kebutuhan siswa. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk mendukung Kurikulum Merdeka dan menciptakan ekosistem pendidikan yang lebih modern dan inovatif

Abstract

Tridax procumbens L. has quite high flavonoid content (6.51%). Flavonoids have antimicrobial effects that can fight bacteria. Besides that, the flavonoid content of T. procumbens leaves as an analgesic inhibits has the potential to be used as an analgesic ointment material for open wounds. Betel lime (CaCO3) also helps speed up the healing of open wounds. This research aims to optimize a mixture of T. procumbens leaves and betel lime to make a material-based herbal ointment that effective in healing open wounds. This research uses quantitative and qualitative approaches. The dependent variables used are the results of FTIR characterization, SEM-EDX, and antibacterial tests. Research results show that the 1:1 ointment sample has the highest homogeneity with an average particle size distribution of 11.95 nm. The weight and total atomic weight of carbon and calcium elements fluctuated with increasing leaf extract concentration, but the 2:1 ointment sample showed a higher calcium element content than the other samples because the amount of whiting was greater than the leaf extract. Flavonoid functional groups were successfully detected, O-H, C-H, and C-O-C. In S. aureus, it was shown that the 1:1 ointment sample was able to inhibit bacterial growth with an inhibition zone diameter of 0.062 to 1.510 cm. In addition, the contents of stigmasterol, β-sitosterol, and n-hexadecanoid acid are the main components that play a role in the inhibitory activity of bacteria. Abstract

This study aims to determine the right strategy for energy efficiency that can be applied in the campus area. This study uses quantitative methods in a dominant position, while qualitative methods are less dominant. The method of analysis for this study uses Contextual Interaction Theory (CIT) with the characteristics of the implementer and the target group consisting of motives, cognition, and strengths. These variables will be the main points for formulating a basic strategy on energy use at the Faculty of Engineering, Bukit Indah campus, Malikussaleh University. Contextual issues are also external factors that influence and become a consideration in determining the level of energy efficiency efforts on campus. Regarding to CIT measurements which have been analyzed, the score of motives from implementer is -0.33, cognitions +0.50, and power +62. Then, overall for target group get positive score which consist of motives +0.75, cognitions +0.54, and power +0.44. The result of type interaction between two actors point out number 10 which is about obstructive. Apart from that, three contextual issues will also be analyzed that affect the characteristics of actors, namely the specific context, the structural context and the broader context. Strategic planning to pursue energy efficiency at the Faculty of Engineering, Bukit Indah Campus, Malikussaleh University consists of increasing motivation with energy-saving campaigns and awarding prizes. Then, improve cognition with energy audits and socialization of energy efficiency. Finally, increasing strength through the implementation of sustainable policies and programs.

Abstract

This study explores the perceptions of students using the Duolingo application for speaking activities at State Junior High School 4 Langgam. The subject of this research is all eight students State Junior High School 4 Langgam. The data were collected through questionnaires. The questionnaire answers were analyzed descriptively using SPSS 21 and Microsoft Excel. Participants were instructed to select one Likert scale answer in each area based on the statement. By employing a quantitative descriptive method, the research aims to determine the effectiveness of Duolingo in enhancing speaking skills, based on students’ experiences and feedback. The results indicate a mixed perception among students, highlighting both the advantages and challenges of integrating Duolingo into the language learning curriculum.

Abstract

Project based learning (PjBL) plays a crucial role in helping students develop 21st-century skills. This study aims to assess the development of PjBL implementation in physics education in Indonesia through a systematic literature review. By analyzing articles published between 2017 and 2023, this research employs identification, screening, and in-depth analysis techniques to evaluate the content. Inclusion and quality assessments of the articles are conducted meticulously to ensure accuracy and avoid bias. A total of 24 relevant articles were identified, with most studies being experimental and involving high school students with sample sizes ranging from 22 to 48 students. The most common research instrument was tests, focusing on fluid topics, and the frequently measured variable was students' creative thinking skills. PjBL is often integrated with the STEM approach. Recommendations from this review include the development of PjBL on a wider range of physics topics and more comprehensive measurement of students' skills. Teachers are also advised to manage time allocation effectively when implementing PjBL. The limitation of this study is its exclusive focus on PjBL in Indonesia. Further research is recommended to explore the application of PjBL in enhancing critical thinking, problem-solving, and student literacy in less commonly tested physics topics such as Newton's Laws, Temperature and Heat, Electromagnetism, Light, and Waves

Abstract

Agrowisata Dilem Wilis di Kabupaten Trenggalek, Jawa Timur, adalah destinasi wisata yang menawarkan keindahan alam dan keanekaragaman hayati. Meskipun kaya akan potensi wisata, kawasan ini masih minim fasilitas untuk anak usia dini. Oleh karena itu, tim NM Research Group dari Universitas Negeri Malang mengusulkan pembangunan playground dan track off-road mobil radio controlled dengan layout edukatif. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan daya tarik Dilem Wilis bagi keluarga dengan anak kecil, sekaligus memberikan pengalaman belajar yang menyenangkan. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi observasi, desain, pembangunan, dan serah terima fasilitas. Fasilitas baru ini diharapkan tidak hanya menambah minat kunjungan, tetapi juga menyediakan sarana bermain yang aman dan edukatif bagi anak-anak. Dengan dukungan infrastruktur yang lebih baik, Dilem Wilis diharapkan dapat menjadi tujuan wisata unggulan yang menggabungkan unsur pendidikan, rekreasi, dan keindahan alam.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the significant effect on the use of Dictogloss Technique on listening ability to short story in the second grade of Junior High School 20 Pekanbaru. In this quantitative research, the design used pre-experiment with only one class pre-test and post-test. The population of this research was second grade students at Junior High School 20 Pekanbaru. The researcher used simple random sampling technique in which class VIII.8 of Junior High School became the research sample which amounted to 34 students. Researcher used objective tests as a data collection technique. Then the researcher tested the data with T-test and obtained data 1.692, then T-Table -1.507 and Sig. (2 tailed) is 0.000 less than 0.05. Then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. In conclusion, there is a significant effect on the use of Dictogloss Technique on listening ability to short story of students in the second grade of Junior High School 20 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education is crucial in ensuring that students are equipped to adapt to rapid advancements in science and technology. This study aims to examine the effect of implementing a STEM-integrated project-based learning (PjBL) model on students higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). The research used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method, employing a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. The participants were 71 students from a school in Riau province, divided into an experimental class (35 students) and a control class (36 students). The results indicate that students in the experimental class achieved a good category of HOTS with an average posttest score of 61.90. A significant improvement was observed in the posttest scores across three HOTS indicators: analyzing, evaluating, and creating. The obtained N-gain score of 0.48 indicates a moderate level of improvement. Specifically, the average score for the analyzing (C4) domain increased to 68.73 (good), the evaluating (C5) domain reached 55.24 (fair), and the creating (C6) domain rose to 48.10 (fair). The results of the Mann-Whitney U test indicated a significant difference between the experimental and control groups (Asymp Sig 2-tailed = 0.000). Further analysis showed a moderate N-Gain score of 0.488 and a strong effect size (d = 0.76), confirming that the implementation of the PjBL-STEM model effectively enhanced students' HOTS in the topic of direct current electricity
