Abstract

Addressing sexual violence against women is an urgent global concern that demands action at all societal levels. Unlike other forms of violence against women, sexual violence is particularly challenging to expose and address due to its association with societal norms of morality. The emergence of social media as a pivotal platform has enabled survivors to share their experiences, fostering potential preventive measures for others. Through digital platforms, survivors can promote awareness, solidarity, and collective strength, driving societal and structural changes. This research focuses on two primary objectives: 1) How to optimize social media to establish a protective environment for women survivors of sexual violence? 2) What role does the interplay of social media communication play in facilitating the empowerment of these women survivors? A qualitative descriptive approach with a case study methodology will be employed, utilizing snowball sampling for informants selection to address these aims effectively. The study aims to offer insights into how social media serves as a tool for survivors seeking support, validation, and advocacy. It will provide recommendations for using social media in prevention and education campaigns against sexual violence, aiming to enhance support for women survivors and advocate for more inclusive societal changes. Through this research, we seek to contribute to a deeper understanding of the intersection between social media and sexual violence survivorship, highlighting the platform's role in fostering empowerment and societal transformation.

Abstract

Background: Libraries play a vital role in disseminating knowledge and providing access to information. However, the declining interest of Generation C in traditional library visits highlights a pressing need for adaptive strategies aligned with their digital habits. While many studies focus on general digitalization efforts, limited research addresses how local public libraries respond to Generation C’s preferences in practice. Purpose: This study aimed to analyze strategic initiatives implemented by the Makassar City Library to enhance Generation C’s engagement and visitation rates. Methods: A qualitative case study approach was employed, with data collected through interviews, focus group discussions, and direct observations. Participants included librarians and active Generation C users, selected through purposive sampling to capture relevant and experience-based perspectives. Results: Findings revealed that Generation C values libraries with advanced digital and physical features, such as high-speed Wi-Fi, public-use computers and tablets, interactive and collaborative learning spaces, cafés, and access to digital collections. In response, the South Sulawesi Provincial Library and Archives Service has launched strategies including interactive social media outreach, the development of educational websites, and mobile digital library services through platforms such as Elfan and iSulsel. Redesigned physical spaces that encourage creativity and collaboration also proved attractive to younger users. Conclusion: These strategies demonstrate how libraries can remain relevant by embracing technology, user convenience, and participatory service design. They contribute to increasing Generation C's library visitation and engagement. Implications: Practically, the study highlights the importance of integrating digital infrastructure and spatial innovation to meet modern user expectations. Theoretically, it underscores how localized, user-centered strategies contribute to library relevance in the digital age, offering a model for other public libraries facing similar generational engagement challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to find out what steps must be taken to produce elections with quality and integrity in 2024. The research method used is a type of qualitative research with a descriptive analysis approach. Data was obtained through primary and secondary data and analyzed in depth. Based on the data obtained through literacy studies and interviews, in producing quality and integrity elections, it is not only the organizers who internalize ethics and morals, but three important elements in it, namely: the community as voters with integrity, election organizers with integrity, and election participants who integrity. Through the ethical and moral internalization of these three elements, the hope that all parties desire is the presence of a quality leader by creating a healthy, democratic political environment through the 2024 election results.

Abstract

Minat baca merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam perkembangan literasi siswa di tingkat pendidikan dasar. Namun, pada kenyataannya, minat baca di banyak sekolah dasar masih tergolong rendah. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji strategi peningkatan minat baca melalui penyediaan bahan pustaka dan kegiatan yang variatif di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Sabranglor Kota Surakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif untuk menganalisis berbagai upaya yang dilakukan oleh pihak sekolah dalam menyediakan bahan pustaka dan kegiatan perpustakaan variatif yang dapat menarik perhatian siswa. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan guru, siswa, dan observasi langsung terhadap kegiatan perpustakaan di sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyediaan bahan Pustaka yang beragam, seperti buku cerita bergambar, komik edukatif, ensiklopedia anak, serta bahan bacaan fiksi memiliki dampak positif terhadap peningkatan minat baca siswa. Selain itu, upaya kolaboratif antara guru, pustakawan, dan orang tua untuk memberikan banyak kegaitan yang variatif di perpustakaan sekolah turut berperan penting dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung kebiasaan membaca. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pentingnya keberagaman bahan pustaka yang sesuai dengan minat dan kebutuhan siswa untuk meningkatkan kualitas literasi di tingkat sekolah dasar.
