Abstract

Background: Physical literacy (PL) is internationally recognised as a foundational concept in physical education, supporting lifelong engagement in physical activity. However, how PL is conceptualised, assessed, and implemented within Indonesian school contexts remains unclear, and no systematic synthesis of existing national research has been conducted. Objective: This study aimed to systematically review and synthesise empirical research on physical literacy in Indonesia, with particular attention to conceptual frameworks, assessment approaches, and implementation practices in school-aged populations. Methods:  A PRISMA-guided systematic literature review was conducted using Scopus, PubMed, OpenAlex, Semantic Scholar, DOAJ, and Garuda databases. Studies published between 2020 and 2024 were screened, yielding 5,056 records, of which 20 met the inclusion criteria. Data were analysed using narrative synthesis across key thematic domains. Finding/Results: Most studies focused on primary school students and conceptualised physical literacy primarily through fundamental motor skills. Multidimensional PL frameworks encompassing motivation, confidence, knowledge, and lifelong engagement were rarely applied. Assessment methods were highly heterogeneous and lacked standardised, culturally adapted instruments. Although school-based interventions demonstrated short-term improvements in motor competence and physical activity, broader affective and cognitive dimensions of PL were largely neglected. Key challenges included limited teacher understanding of PL and the absence of explicit integration within the national curriculum. Conclusion: Physical literacy research in Indonesia remains fragmented and predominantly skill-oriented, with limited alignment to holistic PL principles. There is a clear need for culturally relevant frameworks, validated assessment tools, and strengthened teacher professional development. Future research should adopt comprehensive PL models and examine long-term, multidimensional interventions to better support children’s physical, cognitive, and affective development.

Abstract

Cardio-respiratory endurance adalah kemampuan tubuh untuk mempertahankan aktivitas fisik yang berlangsung dalam waktu lama dengan melibatkan sistem cardiovascular dan respirasi. Peningkatan Cardiorespiratory endurance mahasiswa dominan karena hasil latihan yang diberikan oleh pelatih, bukan karena latihan secara mandiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh internalisasi physical literacy dalam pembelajaran berbasis project-based learning (P-BL) terhadap peningkatan cardiorespiratory endurance mahasiswa Pendidikan Jasmani di daerah lahan basah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen time-series dengan sampel 158 mahasiswa Pendidikan Jasmani Universitas Lambung Mangkurat. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan PACER Test. Analisis data meliputi uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan uji-T, dibantu software SPSS. Hasil penelitian terbagi dalam tiga bagian: 1) Terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara pretest dan middle-test dengan nilai t -6,859 dan signifikansi 0,000, menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan; 2) Tidak ada perbedaan signifikan antara middle-test dan posttest, dengan nilai t -0,024 dan signifikansi 0,981, menandakan tidak ada peningkatan; 3) Terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara pretest dan post-test, dengan nilai t -2,056 dan signifikansi 0,041, menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan. Berdasarkan hasil uji-t, terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara hasil pretest dengan posttest. Ini menunjukkan bahwa internalisasi physical literacy dalam pembelajaran berbasis P-BL efektif meningkatkan cardiorespiratory endurance mahasiswa Pendidikan Jasmani di daerah lahan basah.

Abstract

Pendekatan proprioseptif merupakan metode yang berfokus pada pengembangan kesadaran tubuh dan posisi, yang sangat penting dalam pelatihan atlet dengan keterbatasan visual, seperti atlet judo tunanetra. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman pelatih dalam menggunakan pendekatan proprioseptif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan atlet NPC (National Paralympic Committee) Judo Tunanetra Kalimantan Selatan. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologi, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi terhadap pelatih yang berpengalaman dalam melatih atlet tunanetra. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan proprioseptif mampu meningkatkan keterampilan keseimbangan, koordinasi, dan respons motorik atlet, yang membantu mereka menguasai teknik judo tanpa bantuan visual. Selain manfaat fisik, pendekatan ini juga berdampak positif pada aspek psikologis, seperti peningkatan kepercayaan diri dan kemandirian atlet. Para pelatih NPC Judo Tunanetra Kalimantan Selatan menerapkan berbagai strategi, termasuk isyarat taktil dan instruksi verbal yang konsisten, yang membantu atlet dalam membangun memori otot dan pengendalian tubuh yang lebih baik. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan penting bagi pelatih mengenai efektivitas pendekatan proprioseptif dalam pelatihan atlet judo tunanetra dan membuka peluang untuk pengembangan metode pelatihan inklusif di berbagai cabang olahraga bagi atlet dengan disabilitas sensorik.

Abstract

Physical education learning in high school during the current Covid-19 emergency, teachers have difficulty delivering material, controlling, evaluating, and providing learning feedback, especially on basic competencies that contain motion. The research objective was to improve students’ wellbeing in high school physical education learning during the Covid-19 emergency by implementing the disdcord application. Students’ wellbeing in this study, the researcher described three indicators of achievement, that is: 1) appropriateness of learning, 2) student satisfaction in learning, and 3) improved learning outcomes. The research method used was a pre-experimental one group pre-test post-test design. The population was the students of SMAN I Kota Banjarbaru class X totaling 8 classes. Two classes of samples were selected by random technique. The learning implementation instrument and student satisfaction with learning used a questionnaire with a likert scale, while for learning outcomes using a push-up test and sit-up test. The data analysis technique used the t-test sample paired test. The results of the study showed an increase in students’ wellbeing in terms of; 1) a significant increase in the implementation of learning seen from the value of the two-tailed difference test (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05, 2) a significant increase in student satisfaction in learning seen from the two-way difference test value (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05, and 3) a significant increase in student learning outcomes seen from the two-way difference test value (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05. The conclusion of the research is that the application of the discord application in learning physical education in high schools during the Covid-19 emergency improves students’ wellbeing.

Abstract

This research is based on the importance of athletes' mental toughness in competitions. This research aims to determine the mental state of South Kalimantan Province's sand volleyball athletes when competing. By using quantitative descriptive research. As a quantitative study using a questionnaire/questionnaire. The sampling technique used random sampling, with the population and research subjects being athletes from South Kalimantan Province totaling 12 athletes. To analyze research data, percentage descriptive statistics were used. Based on research findings, it can be concluded that mental toughness is very important in controlling volleyball players' motivation to persist and view failure as a learning opportunity to take better steps next. Apart from that, anxiety and self-confidence also have an impact on the mental toughness of the South Kalimantan Province sand volleyball players' performance when competing.
