Abstract

The classification of motor abilities of individuals with Down Syndrome is essential to identify more effective developmental patterns. However, research that integrates educational, economic, and physiotherapy factors in the classification model is still limited, especially in the application of machine learning-based methods. The purpose of this study is to classify using PCA-SVM on the motor ability of DS based on education, economics, and physiotherapy therapy. PCA is used to reduce the dimensions of the dataset by extracting the main features that have the greatest variation, thereby increasing the efficiency and accuracy of classification. Meanwhile, SVM with Radial Base Function RBF Kernel is applied to build a classification model capable of handling non-linear data and finding optimal hyperplanes as the separation boundary between classes. This study used 50 samples obtained from POTADS in Lampung Province, Indonesia. The results showed that PCA successfully extracted three main components that explained 80.2% of the variance of the data. The SVM model achieved an overall accuracy of 80.2%, with the highest classification success rate at Level 1 (100%) and Level 3 (75%), while Level 2 had some classification errors due to a wider variation in sample characteristics. This study implies that the resulting model can be used to identify individuals at risk of motor difficulties, allowing for earlier and targeted behavior. In addition, the results of this study can be a reference for medical practitioners and educators in developing therapy and education strategies that are more in line with the needs of each individual.

Abstract

Siger Roemah Batik in Bandar Lampung faces challenges such as limited use of digital platforms, lack of product design variety, and low market visibility. These issues hinder competitiveness and growth amid strong batik industry competition. This study aims to analyze Siger Roemah Batik’s business model and develop strategies using Business Model Canvas (BMC) and SWOT Analysis. The qualitative descriptive method was applied, with data gathered from interviews, observations, and questionnaires. The nine BMC elements were evaluated to identify internal and external factors. Results show that combining BMC and SWOT provides deep insight into the business model and supports innovative strategy formulation. Suggested strategies include product diversification, optimizing distribution channels, strengthening customer relationships, and integrating digital platforms to expand market reach. Applying BMC and SWOT proves effective for sustainable MSME business strategies. For further research, it is recommended to conduct direct observation to measure the effectiveness of the strategy and conduct comparative studies with other batik MSMEs for insight into key success factors and explore product innovation and digital marketing to increase market appeal in the digital era.

Abstract

Indonesia ensuring the first case of coronavirus infection causes Covid-19 in early March 2020. Almost all sectors are affected, not only health. The economic sector has also been seriously affected by the corona virus pandemic. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is also a result of this pandemic such as decreased income, labor, capital, production and distribution. Abstract

This research is important to understand the behavior of parents of Cerebral Palsy (CP) children by reducing the complexity in understanding knowledge and economic dimensions, thus providing a structured approach to identifying factors that influence the psychology of children with CP. This study aimed to identify and reduce the dimensions that influence the behavior of parents of children with CFA.This study aimed to reduce the socio-economic dimensions and knowledge of the behavior of parents of Cerebral Palsy (CP) children using CFA. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design was used in this study to comprehensively examine the behavior of parents of children with CP. Purposive sampling was used to select 200 participants from various backgrounds. The instrument used was a 28-item questionnaire which was distributed online to collect data. The questionnaire has gone through rigorous testing, including CFA, determinant KMO test, Bartlett test PCA, and grouping of variables based on identified factors.Research methods , a quantitative approach with cross-sectional design, and purposive sampling were used to select 200 parents of children with CP from various backgrounds. The instrument in the form of a questionnaire with 28 statement items was distributed online. Data analysis was carried out using CFA, including the determinant test, Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) test, Bartlett test, Principal Components Analysis (PCA), and grouping variables based on factors. Research in Lampung shows that the number of boys with CP is slightly higher, with the majority aged 1-5 years. Factor analysis identified three main dimensions: parental knowledge about CP, family economic situation, and parental behavior. Better knowledge and a stable economic situation are positively correlated with better parental behavior in caring for children with CP. Many parents experience high levels of stress due to the physical, emotional, and financial burden of caring for a child with CP. The research conclusion shows that the 28 statement items were successfully reduced to three main dimensions (knowledge, economics, and behavior) which have a significant relationship in the care of children with CP. These findings suggest the need for interventions to increase parental knowledge about CP and family economic stability to increase parental participation in child care.Findings the sex distribution of children with cerebral palsy in Lampung showed a slight excess in the number of boys, with the majority of children being in the age range of 1-5 years. Factor analysis identified three main dimensions: parental knowledge of CP, family economic situation, and parental behavior, where better knowledge and stable economic situation positively correlated with better parental behavior in caring for children with CP. Many parents experience high levels of stress in caring for a child with CP because of the physical, emotional, and financial burden that the condition brings. In conclusion, the 28 items of the statement are reduced to 3 dimensions or factors, including knowledge, economics, and behavior. Each dimension has a relationship with each other significantly to the behavior of parents of CP children.

Abstract

Anak Cerebral Palsy (CP) memerlukan perhatian khusus dan dukungan dari dari orang tua, tetapi sering mengalami kesulitan karena minimnya pengetahuan yang dimiliki. Kurangnya perhatian dan dukungan menjadi salah satu masalah utama. Oleh karena itu tim pengabdi melakukan pendampingan sharing experiences dan psikoedukasi orang tua CP yang untuk meringankan beban dan menstabilkan emosi orang tua. Tujuan pendampingan ini yaitu orang tua dapat merawat anaknya dan fokus pada tumbuh kembangnya dengan menerima keadaan serta mengurangi adanya intervensi sekitarnya. Metode pengabdian ini yaitu 1) Perencanaan , 2) Pelaksanaan dan 3) Evaluasi. Hasil pengabdian ini yaitu terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan orang tua terkait pendampingan pada anak CP sebagai salah satu tindakan dan keterampilan orang tua dalam menghadapi tantangan psikologis dan emosional saat merawat anak CP.

Abstract

Keterlambatan tumbuh kembang anak dengan cerebral palsy (CP) yang berdampak pada kemampuan motorik kasar dan halus. Tujuannya meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan kesiapan orang tua melalui pendampingan latihan motorik kasar berbasis Stimulasi Motorik Head-Centered. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi tahap persiapan, sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan, evaluasi, dan keberlanjutan program. Hasil yang diperoleh saat pelaksanaan persiapan diperoleh pendataan 24 peserta ketika dilaksanakan sosialisasi semua hadir dan belum pernah mendapatkan informasi terkait stimulasi tersebut, saat pelatihan dilakukan pre test dan di saat tahap evaluasi 95% ada peningkatan hasil pengetahuan setelah dilakukan post test. Kesimpulannya, program ini efektif meningkatkan kapasitas orang tua dalam mendukung perkembangan anak CP.

Abstract

The digital era has brought significant changes to the field of education, particularly in the use of technology as a learning medium. The utilization of digital-based learning media has become essential to meet the needs of the current generation, which tends to be more interactive and independent. This study aims to analyze the needs for economics learning media in the digital era to enhance students' understanding and engagement in the learning process. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques, including observations, interviews, and questionnaires. The subjects of the study involved 79 tenth-grade students and teachers of economics at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Sekampung Udik. The results revealed that the majority of students faced difficulties in understanding economics material, with 55.7% stating that learning economics was moderately difficult and 39.2% finding it very difficult. Most students (62%) expressed a strong need for additional learning media, particularly audio-visual-based media, while 44.3% were highly interested in Android-based learning media. Furthermore, the study highlights that the majority of students experience challenges in comprehending economics concepts, indicating a significant demand for digital-based learning media. Audio-visual and Android-based learning media are considered effective in improving flexibility, independence, and students' understanding of complex economic concepts. Therefore, the adoption of interactive and adaptive digital technology-based learning media is a strategic step to support the effectiveness of economics learning in the global era.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/E3J/v7.i2.165-174

Abstract

Children with autism often face challenges in recognizing and controlling their own bodies, a condition referred to as body awareness. Deficits in body awareness can significantly affect motor skills, nonverbal communication, and social interaction. Despite the importance of this developmental domain, interactive training media tailored to the sensory and cognitive needs of children with autism remain limited. This study aims to develop an Android-based application to enhance body awareness in children with autism through the integration of music, video, and mirror game activities. The research utilized the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. Instruments included expert validation questionnaires for both content and media, as well as user response surveys and comprehension tests administered to 30 children with autism in Metro City. Validation results indicated high feasibility, with ratings of 88.75% from media design experts and 90.00% from content experts. Effectiveness testing revealed a statistically significant improvement in body awareness, with a 20-point gain between pre-test and post-test scores (t = 13.70; p < 0.001; 95% CI: 16.70–23.30). These results suggest that the developed application is a practical, engaging, and effective tool for supporting body awareness development in children with autism, and it may serve as a valuable resource for educators, therapists, and parents.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship education at the higher education level often faces challenges in bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application. Students frequently lack the necessary skills to implement entrepreneurial concepts in real-life contexts. This study aimed to develop an Android-based learning media using a Project-Based Learning (PjBL) approach to enhance students' entrepreneurial skills. The study employed a Research and Development (RD) method using the ADDIE model, which includes five phases: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The product was evaluated through expert validation (content and media), small and large group practicality tests, and effectiveness testing using the N-Gain formula. The developed learning media was rated as very valid by experts, with a material validation score of 90.6 and a media validation score of 77.9. The practicality test showed a high level of usability with an average score of 80.45%, categorized as very practical. The effectiveness test produced an N-Gain score of 0.5788, indicating a moderate level of effectiveness in improving entrepreneurial skills. The findings suggest that the Android-based PjBL learning media effectively supports students in understanding and applying entrepreneurial concepts through real-world projects. Its integration of mobile technology with experiential learning offers a flexible and engaging alternative to conventional instruction. This study contributes an innovative, technology-integrated instructional model that enhances entrepreneurship education by fostering practical skill development among university students in the digital era.
