Abstract

One of the non-pharmacological measures that can reduce labor pain is the provision of abdominal lifting. Abdominal lifting is a technique of giving opposite strokes towards the top of the abdomen without applying pressure down the back which aims to reduce pressure on the lower back of the laboring mother which is applied from the beginning of labor to the next stage using the gravity technique. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of abdominal lifting techniques to prevent labor pain. Thus, the lack of references regarding this technique supports the implementation of this study. This type of research is a quasi experiment with pre-post design. The population consisted of 50 respondents with a sample size of 36 respondents who were divided into treatment groups and control groups. Giving abdominal lifting techniques is done every time there is a contraction given for 15 minutes with the patient lying down. This research was conducted at PMB Yuni Ermawati - Pagelaran in March - June 2023. The measuring instrument used is the numeric pain rating scale (NPRS) which is measured at opening 3 and opening 8. By using a diagrammatic data presentation on the pain intensity of the two groups and analyzing the data in analyzing the group differences, the P-value of the mann-whitney test shows the results of the study after giving the abdominal lifting technique 0.00 <0.05 on the difference between the treatment group and the control group. The conclusion of this study is that the provision of abdominal lifting techniques can prevent labor pain in the first stage. Further research is recommended to conduct comparisons between pharmacological techniques with research designs on each opening of labor.

Abstract

Injectable birth control is the most widely used form of birth control. Injectable birth control contains the hormone progesterone or a combination of the hormone estrogen progesterone. The 3-month injectable contraceptive type DMPA (depo medroxy progesterone acetate) is highly effective but has several side effects. One of the side effects that can result from using injectable birth control is weight gain. Generally, the increase in body weight is not too large, varying between less than 1 kg - 5 kg in the first year of use. Objective: To determine the relationship between the use of 3 month DMPA injection contraception and weight gain at TPMB Anni Listiawati. Method: This research uses correlational analysis with a cross sectional design. The research population was 58 3-month DMPA contraceptive acceptors at TPMB Anni Listiawati Researchers used the Total Sampling technique with a sample size of 58 people. Results: The research showed that there was a significant relationship between the use of 3-month DMPA contraceptive contraceptives and the weight gain of injectable contraceptive acceptors. The results of the Chi-Square test obtained a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that H1 was accepted, there was a relationship between the use of 3-month DMPA contraception and weight gain at TPMB Anni Listiawati, Lumajang City. Family planning acceptors are expected to pay more attention to its benefits, advantages and side effects of the contraception to be used. It is recommended that health workers be more active in providing health education to the public, especially to mothers who are prospective family planning acceptors about the types, benefits, advantages, disadvantages and side effects of contraception.

Abstract

The Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in Indonesia has not improved significantly from year to year. One way to reduce MMR is by using contraception. From brief interviews with 16 potential acceptors at the Syahbi Meditra clinic, some mothers said that they felt afraid and anxious about changing their family planning method to an IUD/implant method. Many factors influence the lack of IUD use, one of which is fear and anxiety among potential acceptors about installing the contraceptive device. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of providing lavender aromatherapy on the anxiety level of prospective IUD contraceptive acceptors. This research used a pre-experimental design with a one group pre-post test design method with a population of 16 potential IU family planning acceptors and a sample of 16 respondents using a total sampling technique. Data collection includes coding, editing and tabulating. Then the data was analyzed computer using the Paired Samples Test (asymp. Sig 2-tailed) p-value = 0.000 < 0.05. So Ha is accepted, namely that there is an effect of giving Lavender Aromatherapy on the Anxiety Level of Prospective IUD KB Acceptors. The conclusion of this research is that there is an effect of giving Lavender Aromatherapy on the Anxiety Level of Prospective IUD KB Acceptors. The suggestion is that the research site should be able to make innovations related to reducing the anxiety level of prospective IUD acceptors with complementary therapies

Abstract

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) report, globally around 830 women die every day due to complications during pregnancy and childbirth, with a maternal mortality rate of 216 per 100,000 live births, where 99% of maternal deaths are caused by problems related to pregnancy and childbirth. , One of the factors causing death is delays in getting fast and appropriate health services. Early referral is an important step in dealing with high-risk patients (Listyorini, 2019). Support from the family has an important role in increasing a person's self-confidence, especially for pregnant women who are at high risk in making decisions (Harahap, 2021). The research aims to determine the relationship between family support and the early planning referral process in the Lumajang Regency area. This research is a quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. The population and sample of this research were 18 pregnant women in the Penanggal Community Health Center, Lumajang Regency, the sample was taken using accidental sampling technique. Data was collected using a questionnaire and the data was analyzed using the contingency coefficient test. The results of the research illustrate that 8 respondents had sufficient family support, 5 respondents each had good and poor support. Meanwhile, there were 9 respondents who experienced early planning referrals, the same as respondents who did not experience early planning referrals. The statistical results of the contingency coefficient test obtained p-value = 0.007 < 0.05, which means that there is a relationship between family support and the planned early referral process in the Lumajang Regency area. Because family support is so important in carrying out the early referral planning process, providing health services requires strong supervision and education for family involvement in every medical service that will be provided.

Abstract

According to WHO data, 75% of women experience menstrual disorders, approximately 60-70% of women with underweight and overweight can show symptoms of menstrual cycle disorders. Based on data from Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) in 2018, the percentage of women in East Java who experience irregular menstrual cycles is 13.3% with the total number of women who experience irregular menstrual cycles in Indonesia at 13.7%. Female students with an abnormal body mass index can cause disruption to the menstrual cycle. The aim of this research was to determine differences in menstrual cycles based on Body Mass Index in female students at SMA NU 1 Model Lamongan. This research design uses a cross sectional study design. The population and sample in this research were 50 respondents from SMA NU 1 Model Lamongan using total sampling technique. Data were collected by measuring height and weight and questionnaires. Most respondents had a normal menstrual cycle (62%) had a normal body mass index (58%). Meanwhile, the research results showed that the majority of thin (12%) and fat (30%) respondents with an abnormal BMI category experienced irregular menstrual cycles (lengthening & shortening). Analysis univariate and bivariate data analysis using Spearman's Rank. Based on the results of statistical tests, it is known that there are differences in menstrual cycles based on body mass index with a value of p = 0.00. Female students with an abnormal menstrual cycle have an abnormal body mass index (thin & fat) while female students with a normal menstrual cycle tend to have a normal body mass index as well. It is hoped that female students who have an abnormal body mass index must pay attention to their eating patterns. healthy and good nutritional intake.
