Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Potensi Kandungan Nutrisi Dan Karotenoid Bunga Tanaman Marigold (Tagetes erecta L.) Di Dataran Rendah Sebagai Pakan Ternak Unggas Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 2 bulan mulai dari bulan Desember 2023-Februari 2024 yang dilakukan dilaboratorium Universitas Bengkulu (UNIB) dan dilaboratorium Teknologi Pakan Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB) untuk melakukan analisis kandungan karotenoid dan nutrisi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian purposive sampling dengan menetapkan Kabupaten dan lokasi pengambilan sample diolah secara deskriptif dengan menjabarkan tanaman marigold yang tersebar pada daerah terpilih yaitu di Kabupaten Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah dan Kota Bengkulu dengan ketinggian 0-200 mdpl. Tanaman marigold yang tumbuh pada wilayah tersebut akan diambil dan dilakukan identifikasi morfologi serta pencatatannya yaitu ketinggian tempat, intensitas cahaya, suhu, dan kelembaban pada wilayah tumbuhnya tanaman marigold (Tagetes erecta L.) dan data yang diperoleh akan ditabulasikan. Parameter yang diamati adalah Karotenoid, Serat Kasar (SK), Protein Kasar (PK) Berdasarkan (BK). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin pekat warna pada bunga tanaman marigold maka semakin tinggi kandungan karotenoid dan nutrisi yang dihasilkan dalam kelopak bunga tanaman marigold. Tanaman marigold yang tersebar didataran rendah rata-rata ditemukan pada ketinggian berkisar 0-200 mdpl yang didominasi 30% tanaman marigold dengan jenis mahkota bunga berwarna orange berkelopak kecil dan tanaman marigold berwarna orange berkelopak kecil dan lebar. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the impact of the Kosabangsa 2023 program on improving the knowledge of fishermen's fish processing in Serangai Village, Batik Nau Sub-district, North Bengkulu Regency. Using both quantitative and qualitative approaches, we surveyed the group of fishermen who participated in the Kosabangsa 2023 program and conducted statistical data analysis to assess its impact on the knowledge, skills, and practices of processing fishermen's catch for income generation. The survey results showed that most respondents reported an increase in knowledge of fish processing, packaging and marketing after participating in the kosabangsa program. In addition, there was a significant increase in fish processing productivity due to the adoption of new technologies provided in the kosabangsa program for the communities participating in the program. However, challenges such as frequent power outages made the implementation of the program less successful. These findings suggest that the kosabangsa program is effective in improving the quality of human resources in processing captured fish, and that there is a need to increase the sustainability of the program to achieve more optimal results.

Abstract

Marigold (Tagetes erecta) is an ornamental herbaceous and medicinal plant that is easily cultivated, so many are found at various heights, such as in Kepahiang Bengkulu regency, Indonesia. In addition, marigolds contain nutrients and bioactive compounds that have yet to be fully utilized. This study aims to identify the morphology, nutrients and bioactive compounds of marigold flowers in Kepahiang district of Bengkulu, Indonesia. The study was conducted using a purposive sampling survey method by conducting non-experimental descriptive observations. Sampling locations were conducted around Kepahiang regency. The variables observed were morphological identification, nutrient content and bioactive compounds. Two accessions are found: marigold flowers with small petals of orange and marigold flowers with small petals of yellow. Orange marigold flowers with small petals-shaped protein (10.51%) are higher than the small yellow marigold (9.49%), while the protein content of leaves (5.96%) is lower than the protein marigold flowers. Small-sized orange Petals marigold flowers have a higher carotenoid content (166.41 mg/kg) than small-sized yellow petals flowers (85.89 mg/kg). But compared to flowers, marigold leaves have a higher chlorophyll content (246.93 mg/kg). Marigold flower with orange petals in a small shape has the best nutritional and bioactive compounds content for poultry feed
