Abstract

Randusari is one of the sub-districts in Pasuruan City. Randusari is known as one of the centers of the furniture industry in Pasuruan City. This community service aims to increase the production capacity of UD. Sumber Urip furniture through the Implementation of Android-Based CNC Machines. This community service was carried out because of problems from UD. Sumber Urip in the form of a lack of production tools in the form of carving machines, resulting in carving work using manual tools that are ineffective in terms of time and energy. The solution to this problem is the provision of an android-based CNC machine that functions as a carving machine and cutting machine. The method used in this community service is a workshop on machine use and mentoring and monitoring of success which is held once a month. The results of this community service are a.) UD Sumber Urip gets additional production tools so that it can increase production capacity. b). Increasing UD. Sumber Urip's knowledge in operating android-based CNC machines. c). Increasing UD. Sumber Urip's knowledge in maintaining CNC machines.

Abstract

Sowang (Xanthostemon novoguineense Valet.) diidentifikasi sebagai spesies endemik Papua. X. novaguineense merupakan jenis tumbuhan New Guinea bagian barat dengan data ilmiah yang sangat terbatas. Di alam, jumlah tegakan dan habitat sowang saat ini telah menyusut karena eksploitasi hasil hutan dan konversi lahan. Sementara eksploitasi kayu sowang dan konversi habitat sowang tetap berlangsung, usaha meregenerasi belum tampak di masyarakat, kemampuan regenerasi sowang secara alami juga sangat rendah. Hal ini merupakan ancaman kepunahan bagi populasi sowang. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi media in-vitro yang sesuai bagi perkecambahan biji dan pertumbuhan tunas sowang. Percobaan dirancang dengan  memperlakukan dua jenis media perkecambahan yakni VW yang dimodifikasi dan MS dengan zpt, 20 ulangan, setiap satu unit percobaan berisi 30 benih sowang yang ditanam di media, dilakukan di laboratorium kultur jaringan FMIPA Universitas Cenderawasih Jayapura. Variabel penelitian adalah hari muncul tunas, persen perkecambahan, penampilan tunas dan tinggi tunas pada usia tunas 60 hari. Data dianalisis dengan independent sample t test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat signifikansi pada variabel-variabel hari muncul tunas, persen perkecambahan, penampilan tunas dan tinggi tunas antara perlakuan media VW yang dimodifikasi dan MS dengan zpt. Rata-rata hari muncul tunas adalah 5.50 hari dan 5.55 hari, rata-rata persen perkecambahan adalah 63.55% dan 61.40%, rata-rata skor penampilan tunas adalah 2.85 dan 2.75 serta rata-rata panjang tunas adalah 2.84 cm dan 2.67 cm.

Abstract

This study aims to assess visitors’ perceptions of the potential and feasibility of Taman Hutan Raya (Tahura) Gunung Kunci in Sumedang Regency as a forest healing destination. The research employed a descriptive quantitative approach through a visitor perception survey focusing on facilities, services, and environmental comfort. Data were collected from three main sites amphitheater, viewing post, and bunker with 40 respondents selected using accidental sampling. The results revealed that most visitors rated the area as “Excellent” (60%) and “Good” (40%) in terms of facilities, services, and comfort. Overall, the facilities in Tahura Gunung Kunci are adequate and safe, although some areas, such as shelters and walkways around the bunker, require maintenance. The visitors’ positive perception indicates that Tahura Gunung Kunci has strong potential to be developed as a forest healing-based ecotourism destination that promotes health, education, and community well-being.

Abstract

Many teenagers were trapped playing online games late into the night, which can lead to insomnia. Insomnia could impact mental and physical health, reducing concentration and affecting mood. Therefore, parents needed to limit online gaming time and provide healthier and more positive entertainment activities for teenagers. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between playing online games and the incidence of insomnia. This research method used a correlation analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The number of samples in this study was 37 students using a total sampling technique. The instrument used a questionnaire. The validity test of the questionnaire in this study used the Spearman Rank test. The results showed that most of the eleventh grade students of SMA Mahardhika Surabaya (62.2%), namely 23 students rarely played online games and most (62.2%), namely 23 students experienced mild insomnia. The results of the study showed P = 0.092. with α = 0.05, namely P more than α. This means that there were no relationship between playing online games and the incidence of insomnia in class XI students of SMA Mahardhika Surabaya. The strength of the relationship was sufficient with a correlation coefficient value = 0.28 and was in the same direction, the lower the frequency of playing online games, the lower the incidence of insomnia. Thus, students were expected to reduce the time playing online games and did other more useful activities.

Abstract

Kerusakan lahan merupakan permasalahan serius akibat ketidakseimbangan pengelolaan hutan antar aspek ekologi dan sosial – ekonomi. Lahan yang teridentifikasi sebagai lahan rusak dikenal dengan lahan kritis. Upaya pengendalian lahan kritis dapat dilakukan melalui kegiatan Rehabilitasi Hutan dan Lahan (RHL) dengan penanaman jenis Multi Purpose Tree Species (MPTS) yang memiliki nilai ekologis dan ekonomis, seperti alpukat (Persea americana) dan petai (Parkia speciosa). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kesesuaian lahan bagi pengembangan alpukat dan petai di Desa Cipicung, Kecamatan Jatigede, Kabupaten Sumedang, Jawa Barat. Metode penelitian menggunakan purposive sampling dengan intensitas sampling 5% pada lima plot untuk masing-masing jenis tanaman. Analisis kesesuaian lahan dilakukan menggunakan metode matching dan scoring terhadap delapan parameter, yaitu temperatur, curah hujan, kelembapan, tekstur tanah, permeabilitas tanah, pH tanah, kemiringan lereng, dan bahaya erosi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelas kesesuaian lahan aktual untuk tanaman alpukat dan petai pada lahan RHL Desa Cipicung termasuk dalam kategori cukup sesuai (S2) dengan nilai rata-rata skor masing-masing 21,8 dan 24,2. Faktor pembatas utama meliputi temperatur, curah hujan, permeabilitas tanah, kemiringan lereng, dan bahaya erosi. Upaya peningkatan kesesuaian lahan secara potensial dapat dilakukan melalui penerapan teknik konservasi tanah dan air secara mekanik dan vegetatif yang tepat untuk mendukung keberhasilan rehabilitasi hutan secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Introduction: Globally, It was estimated that one in three adults experienced insomnia. In Indonesia, 10% or equal to 28 million of the population was reported this particular sleep problem.    Physical illness, environment, drugs used, and stress were reported as the major cause of insomnia. This study aims to analyse the relationship between stress and the incidence of insomnia among elderly living in a nursing, Surabaya, Indonesia. Method: This study applied cross-sectional approach with correlation descriptive design. Population in this study was older adults living in a nursing home. A total of 51 participant recruited through a random simple sampling was involved. The independent variable was stress and dependent was insomnia. A self-report questionnaire was used to collect data from the study participants. Data was statistically test by Contingency Coefficient. Results: There is no relationship between stress and the incidence of insomnia in the elderly (p=0.267). Insomnia might relate to others factors that not explored in the study. Conclusions: The current study highlights insomnia among elderly  is not related to stress events. Even insomnia was a common, nurses need to identify other factors that can contribute to insomnia experienced by the elderly. Thus, further study examines insomnia among elderly is warranty.
