Abstract

AbstractThe selection of a campus in achieving the goal of college certainly has many determining factors. So it is necessary to explore what are the reasons. This study will test whether there is an influence of Perceived Quality and Brand Image in determining the selection of the destination campus. Data collection used in this study is associative research and literature review. Data collection was carried out at six Aviation Polytechnics in Indonesia. The results of the study showed that there was a significant influence of Perceived Quality and Brand Image on Brand Trust. Furthermore, Perceived Quality also influences the Decision to Choose College and so does Brand Image have an influence on the Decision to Choose College. Furthermore, Brand Trust also has a Significant Influence on the Decision to Choose College. Furthermore, there is the Influence of Perceived Quality Through Brand Trust on the Decision to Choose College. The findings also show that there is an influence of Brand Image Through Brand Trust on the Decision to Choose College. So it is concluded that Perceived Quality and Brand Image are part of the factors that determine the selection of the campus that is the destination in college. Abstract

This research is urgent to ensure that the Arrival Message Engine, which is separate from the Main ATC System, can send ATS Messages automatically. This was deemed necessary to do immediately to back up a bug in the Main ATC System, which caused several Arrival Messages not to be sent. The method used is the research and development method, meaning it is a scientific way to research, design, and test the validity of the product that has been created. Research and development has four levels: researching without testing, testing without researching, researching and testing to develop existing products, and researching and testing to create new products. A product has been produced in the form of an arrival message delivery automation system that automatically sends arrival message data to the AFTN message network and can run well per the user needs assessment in this research. It was proven from the design validation results that the test results were 100% and categorized as very feasible, as well as from the system test results using the Black Box method. As a continuation of this research, a warning and monitoring system for sending ATS messages is needed when a failure or anomaly occurs in the main system. It is hoped that this research can be considered for use in operations as an alternative facility so that it can support activities related to handling ATS messages or flight data processing systems in flight navigation operations.

Abstract

Nowadays, social media is always used as a means of spreading fake news, hate speech, and bullying. To overcome this, social media users must internalize the values of Pancasila in using social media. This study aims to analyze the influence of internalizing Pancasila values on Generation Z cadets of the Medan Aviation Polytechnic in social media. Internalization of Pancasila values is carried out through learning Pancasila values. Qualitative methods and 96 cadets as samples were used in this study. The research data was obtained by observing the posts of cadets on social media twice, namely after the pre-test and post-test. Pre-test and post-test are carried out before and after the internalization of Pancasila values, respectively. Based on the results of the study, it is known that cadets who behave positively increased after the internalization of Pancasila values, namely from 35 people to 83people. Meanwhile, cadets who behaved neutrally decreased from 48 to 10, and the number of cadets who behave negatively dropped from 13 people to 3 people.

Abstract

Politeknik Penerbangan Medan sebagai institusi pendidikan vokasi yang berfokus pada bidang penerbangan menghadapi tantangan dalam beradaptasi dengan era digital. Meskipun memiliki reputasi yang baik dan fasilitas yang memadai, institusi ini masih terbatas dalam hal pengintegrasian teknologi digital pada manajemen akademik dan kurikulum yang kurang fleksibel terhadap perkembangan teknologi terbaru di industri penerbangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi strategi inovasi layanan pendidikan yang dapat meningkatkan keberlanjutan bisnis Politeknik Penerbangan Medan dalam menghadapi perubahan digital. Berdasarkan analisis SWOT, penelitian ini mengusulkan tiga pilar utama dalam strategi inovasi, yaitu pengintegrasian teknologi digital dalam layanan pendidikan, pengembangan kurikulum berbasis kebutuhan industri, dan peningkatan pengalaman mahasiswa serta tenaga pengajar. Penggunaan teknologi seperti Learning Management System (LMS), Augmented Reality (AR), dan Virtual Reality (VR) diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi operasional dan kualitas pembelajaran. Selain itu, kurikulum yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan industri penerbangan yang dinamis akan mempersiapkan mahasiswa untuk lebih siap bersaing di dunia kerja. Meskipun terdapat tantangan dalam implementasi, seperti keterbatasan anggaran dan resistensi terhadap perubahan, strategi inovasi ini berpotensi besar untuk meningkatkan daya saing dan keberlanjutan Politeknik Penerbangan Medan di masa depan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan institusi pendidikan vokasi dalam menghadapi era digital, serta sebagai referensi dalam merancang strategi inovasi pendidikan berbasis teknologi.

Abstract

Academic information system (SIAKAD) plays an important role in the management of educational data in higher education institutions. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of an academic information system integrated with virtual accounts at Medan Aviation Polytechnic, in order to improve efficiency and transparency in financial management. This research uses R&D (Research & Development) method with waterfall software development model. Data was collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Observations were conducted to understand the data processing process, while interviews and questionnaires were used to obtain input from the study program admin and academic admin. The results showed that the integrated academic information system has functioned well. Features such as KRS filling, transcript printing, and payment confirmation can be accessed by various users, including university admins, study program admins, lecturers, and students. Users reported increased efficiency in managing academic and financial data. The implementation of SIAKAD integrated with virtual accounts provides significant benefits in terms of transparency and reduction of human error in data processing. The system facilitates real-time access to information, which is essential for informed decision-making in education management. This study concludes that the implementation of SIAKAD integrated with virtual accounts is effective in improving the efficiency and transparency of academic and financial data management at Politeknik Penerbangan Medan. Recommendations for further development include enhancing system features to support diverse user needs.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat dari Politeknik Penerbangan Medan dilaksanakan dengan mitra Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri 1 Tanjung Morawa, yang berlokasi dekat dengan Bandar Udara Internasional Kualanamu Deli Serdang, jarak sekolah dengan Bandara kurang lebih 19 km. berdasarkan hal tersebut maka tim pengabdian melakukan edukasi keamanan penerbangan kepada guru dan siswa. Keamanan Penerbangan adalahsuatu keadaan yang memberikan perlindungan kepada penerbangan dari tindakan melawan hukum melalui keterpaduan pemanfaatan sumber dayamanusia, fasilitas, dan prosedur. Metode yang diterapkan tim pengabdian adalah memberikan ceramah dan tanya jawab serta contoh “ contoh kejadian nyata yang terjadi di dunia penerbangan, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan memberikan test kepada peserta menggunakan aplikasi kahoot. Hasil pretest total 36 orang peserta terdapat 23 orang dengan nilai dibawah 70 dan 13 orang dengan nilai di atas 70. Setelah diberikan edukasi, peserta mengalami peningkatan nilai yaitu sebanyak 25 orang peserta dan 11 peserta tidak mengalami peningkatan. Outcome yang kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah masyarakat terutama para siswa di lingkungan sekitar Bandar Udara lebih memahami pentingnya penerapan keamanan penerbangan sipil sehingga keselamatan penerbangan dapat terwujud.The Community Service Activities of the Medan Aviation Polytechnic are carried out with partners from Tanjung Morawa 1 Public High School, which is located close to Kualanamu Deli Serdang International Airport, the distance between the school and the airport is approximately 19 km. Based on this, the service team conducts aviation safety education for teachers and students. Aviation Security is a situation that provides protection to aviation from acts against the law through the integrated use of human resources, facilities and procedures. The method used by the service team is to give lectures and questions and answers as well as examples of real events that occurred in the world of aviation, then proceed with giving tests to participants using the kahoot application. The pretest results for a total of 36 participants included 23 people with scores below 70 and 13 people with scores above 70. After being given education, the participants experienced an increase in scores, namely 25 participants and 11 participants did not experience an increase. The outcome of this community service activity is that the community, especially students in the environment around the airport, understand more about the importance of implementing civil aviation security so that aviation safety can be realized.

Abstract

Education in institutions such as the Transportation Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDMP) has a crucial role in forming the character and discipline of cadets. One effective approach in achieving this goal is through implementing good time management. Time management not only helps cadets in completing tasks efficiently, but also contributes to the formation of self-discipline and strong character. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to explore the implementation of time management in BPSDMP and its impact on cadet discipline and character. Data was obtained through observation, interviews and collecting information from various sources. The research results show that effective time management allows cadets to organize their daily activities well, follow a strict schedule, and meet deadlines consistently. The application of time management at BPSDMP also has an impact on developing the character of cadets. They are taught to be responsible, work hard, and not give up easily in facing challenges. Cadet achievements in various fields such as academics and sports are clear evidence of the effectiveness of time management in forming strong character and high discipline. Case studies of several cadets who achieved achievements confirmed that the time management implemented at BPSDMP was successful in forming cadets who were disciplined and had strong character. Cadets are trained to value time, set goals, and work hard to achieve them. Their success does not only reflect academic or sporting achievements, but also the formation of character that is ready to face various challenges in the future. Implementing good time management at BPSDMP is a strategic step in forming cadet discipline and character. With high discipline and strong character, the cadets are expected to become future leaders with integrity and able to face various challenges in the world of work and everyday life.

Abstract

On the job training activities at Adi Soemarmo Boyolali International Airport there are three things that are of concern, namely the problem with the color of the apron lights on the south side using red lights, where according to the regulations the color of the apron lights on the south side must be blue. And the electrical system for the Taxiway Edge lights are old components that were installed in 1980, and also the electrical lines for the Taxiway Edge lights still use 1 circuit. The problem with the South Apron lights is that they do not comply with the standards of the Ministry of Transportation regulations number:. KP 39 of 2015 Concerning Technical and Operational Standards for Civil Aviation Safety Regulations - Part 139 (Manual of CASR Standards - Part 139) Volume I Airports (Aerodromes), Then the problem with the Taxiway Edge lights is that the continuity of spare parts does not meet and it is difficult to find components. The tool components are due to the old production year, and also still use 1 circuit on the Taxiway Edge lamp electrical line. Based on this background, the author intends to present a report with the title "Design of Taxiway Charlie and Southern Apron at Adi Soemarmo Boyolali International Airport."

Abstract

Airport management is very important and plays a very important role in increasing the growth of the aviation sector and the economy, because every time there is movement of aircraft traffic carrying out arrival and departure activities from an airport, both domestic and international. The aim of this research is to find out (1) the role of an airport, (2) how an airport is managed, (3) the difference between commercial airports and airports managed by the Air Force. This research method is a literature study and an exploratory descriptive approach. It can be concluded that: the important role of airports, namely as a node of the air transportation network, a door to economic sustainability, a place for activities to change modes of transportation, opening regional isolation, handling disasters, and infrastructure to strengthen state sovereignty. The private sector needs to be involved in the form of cooperative operations and management contracts with major capital expenditure, which is mostly realized in government-private cooperation in airport management.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penyakit tidak menular seperti hipertensi, diabetes melitus, dan asam urat merupakan masalah kesehatan dengan prevalensi yang tinggi sehingga memerlukan perhatian serius. Promosi kesehatan seperti penyuluhan dan pemeriksaan kesehatan gratis adalah bentuk upaya pencegahan untuk mengurangi beban penyakit dan pengobatan di masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengedukasi dan memberikan pemahaman kepada warga Desa Bahu Palawa tentang pencegahan dan pengelolaan penyakit hipertensi, diabetes melitus, dan asam urat serta melihat gambaran penyakit-penyakit ini di masyarakat. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui dua tahap yaitu (1) penyuluhan kesehatan yang terdiri dari pemaraparan materi oleh narasumber dan tanya jawab. (2) Pemeriksaan kesehatan gratis yang mencakup pengukuran tekanan darah, tes gula darah, dan tes asam urat pada 73 masyarakat yang hadir. Dari hasil pemeriksaan ditemukan bahwa prevalensi hipertensi adalah 69,86 %, diabetes 23,28 % dan asam urat 43,84 %. Berdasarkan hasil ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa, kegiatan ini berhasil menghimpun data penyakit hipertensi, diabetes melitus, dan asam urat masyarakat Desa Bahu Palawa yang memberikan gambaran prevalensi dan distribusi penyakit di masyarakat. Harapan dari kegiatan ini yaitu masyarakat dapat meningkatkan kesadaran dalam menjaga kesehatan mereka sendiri, melakukan perubahan gaya hidup yang lebih sehat dan melakukan pengobatan sesegera mungkin sebelum menimbulkan komplikasi serius. Kata Kunci: Hipertensi, Diabetes Melitus, Asam Urat  ABSTRACT Non-communicable diseases such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and gout are health problems with high prevalence that require serious attention. Health promotion, such as counselling and free health checks, is a form of prevention that aims to reduce the burden of disease and treatment in the community. This community service activity aims to educate and provide understanding to Bahu Palawa Village residents about the prevention and management of hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and gout, as well as provide a picture of these diseases in the community. This activity was carried out through two stages: (1) health counselling, which involved a resource person presenting materials and conducting questions and answers. (2) free health check-up for 73 community members, which included a blood pressure measurement, blood sugar test, and uric acid test. The examination results revealed a prevalence of hypertension of 69.86%, diabetes of 23.28%, and gout of 43.84%. These results conclude that the activity successfully collected data on hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and gout in the Bahu Palawa Village community, providing an overview of the prevalence and distribution of diseases in the community. The goal of this activity is to increase community awareness of maintaining their own health, make changes to a healthier lifestyle, and carry out treatment as soon as possible before causing serious complications. Keywords: Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus, Uric Acid
