Abstract

Adaptive learning is learning that can adjust learning materials according to students' abilities. To facilitate the selection of appropriate learning materials, it is necessary to categorize learning materials first. Learning materials are widely available online and can be accessed easily via internet. Learning materials can be categorized into several topics and subtopics. This study aims to build a system that can retrieve learning materials from websites and categorize learning materials automatically based on topics and subtopics using multilabel classification. From the experiments that have been carried out, the implementation of multilabel classification has been successfully used to categorize learning materials automatically based on learning topics and subtopics.

Abstract

The quality of the software can be measured by its return on investment. Factors which may affect the return on investment (ROI) is the tangible factors (such as the cost) dan intangible factors (such as the impact of software to the users or stakeholder). The factor of the software itself are assessed through reviewing, testing, process audit, and performance of software. This paper discusses the consideration of return on investment (ROI) assessment criteria derived from the software and its users. These criteria indicate that the approach may support a rational consideration of all relevant criteria when evaluating software, and shows examples of actual return on investment models. Conducted an analysis of the assessment criteria that affect the return on investment if these criteria have a disproportionate effort that resulted in a return on investment of a software decreased. Abstract

Knowing the ability of students is something that is important to formulate exam questions correctly, namely questions with the appropriate level of difficulty. However, in general, exam questions are prepared with the assumption that students' abilities are the same, so the results obtained do not reflect the actual abilities of students. This study focuses on predicting the ability of grade 6 students in mathematics. The data was obtained from 400 exam questions with 8 materials done by 23 students. Students' ability categories are grouped into 3, namely high ability, medium ability, and low ability. The difficulty of the questions is grouped into difficult questions, medium questions, and easy questions based on the assessments of 5 different class teachers. Our research uses the linear regression method and successfully shows that there is a close relationship between students' abilities and the level of difficulty of the questions. The difficulty level of the questions contributed 63% to the students' abilities. The standard error of 0.04905 means that the regression model is the right model in determining students' abilities.

Abstract

Non-functional requirements is one of the important factors that play a role in the success of software development that is often forgotten by the developer, causing adverse effects. To obtain the non-functional requirements needed an automation system identification non-functional requirements. In this study proposed an an automation system of identification of non-functional requirements from the requirement sentences based classification algorithms FSKNN with term enrichment on training data using synonyms and combined hypernym and synonyms based on ISO / IEC 9126. In the testing phase the dataset of requirement sentence used was 1342 sentences from six different datasets Results of this research is the term enrichment by using a combination hypernym and synonyms can improve performance accuracy by 8.1%, precision by 13% and a recall by 4.9%.

Abstract

Computerized adaptive testing (CAT) is a context-based adaptive assessment. However, the assessment result may not be valid because the examinee might cheat or guess the answers. Although there are many guessing detection methods, there are not many discussions about their implementation into CAT. Therefore, this paper presents an example of a modification of an existing software so the newly modified software can detect guessed answers and be able to select questions adaptively. The system can detect assuming behavior by recording the examinee’s answer time. Also, the designed system can like questions adaptively by connecting Fuzzy logic, which calculates what level the question should select for the next iteration. The system is responded well by elementary and college students. A total of 56.6% felt the system was straightforward to use. The detection methods can detect guessing behavior of about 73%. However, the system’s sensitivity is low if the method is forced to classify answers which answered in a long response time / general guessing. Nevertheless, when we limit the data classified within 10s response time (rapid-guessing), the method’s sensitivity rises to 68.78%.

Abstract

Klasifikasi text sangat bermanfaat dan dibutuhkan diberbagai bidang. Salah satu bidang yang membutuhkan klasifikasi text adalah E-learning yang bersifat adaptive atau disebut sebagai adaptive learning sistem. Adaptive learning sytem adalah sistem pembelajaran online yang dapat memberikan rekomendasi pembelajaran berdasarkan kebutuhan pengguna. Adaptive learning memiliki dua bagian, yaitu modul learning dan modul testing. Modul learning adalah bagian dari sistem yang bertugas untuk memberikan rekomendasi pembelajaran bagi pengguna, sedangkan modul testing bertugas untuk menguji dan memberikan penilaian terhadap hasil pembelajaran yang diperoleh dari modul learning. Materi pembelajaran pada modul learning memerlukan klasifikasi text berdasarkan tingkat kesulitannya untuk memastikan bahwa pengguna dengan level kemampuan rendah juga mendapatkan materi pembelajaran yang mudah, dan rekomendasi ini akan dinamis mengikuti perkembangan kemampuan pengguna. Pada penelitian ini, akan dibahas bagian kecil dari sistem pembelajaran adaptive pada modul learning yaitu tahap klasifikasi text. Dataset yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mata pelajaran IPA untuk tingkat SMP yang didapatkan dari Ruang Guru dan merupakan salah satu platform E-learning di Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah CNN, RNN dan HAN dengan menggunakan word embedding Word2Vec

Abstract

Electronic-based governance is a way for Central and Regional Government Agencies to utilize information technology. Ministry of religion created SIMKAH WEB as one of the forms of E-government. This application helps administer marriages and is integrated with other applications by sector. The primary purpose of this application is to improve services and digital data presentation. This study analyzes the quality of SIMKAH WEB based on user perceptions, namely employees of the Ministry of Religion and prospective brides. The method used in this research is Webqual 4.0, EUCS, and Importance Performance Analysis Matrix. We combined the two approaches, Webqual and EUCS, and then analyzed them with the IPA Matrix. The result was compared against the results given by each method when it was carried out separately. Another benefit is providing recommendations for improvement based on each technique. Several methods will show which way has the highest suitability level and provide suggestions for improving the SIMKAH application. Based on the suitability level analysis results, the combined Method obtained a value of 92.85%, EUCS 92.64%, and Webqual 90.13%

Abstract

A learning management system (LMS) manages online learning and facilitates inter- action in the teaching and learning processes. Teachers can use LMS to determine student activities or interactions with their courses. Everyone learns uniquely. It is necessary to understand their learning style to apply it in students’ learning activi- ties. One factor contributing to learning success is the use of an appropriate learning style, which allows the information received to be appropriately conveyed and clearly understood. As a result, we require a mechanism to identify learning styles. This study develops a learning style detection system based on learning behavior at the LMS of Christian Vocational School Petra Surabaya for the subject of Network System Administration using the Decision Tree, Naïve Bayes, and K-Nearest Neigh- bor. The results of the study showed that the Decision Tree method could better detect and predict learning styles, namely using the 80:20 train split test, which obtained an accuracy of 0.96 process time of 0.000998 seconds, while the K-Fold 10 Cross-Validation test obtained an accuracy of 0.98 and a processing time of 0.04033 seconds.

Abstract

Semua bidang dalam kehidupan membutuhkan kemampuan desain grafis. Begitu pula di dunia pendidikan, seorang pendidik juga harus mampu menyesuaikan kemampuannya di tengah digitalisasi ini agar penyampaian materi menjadi lebih interaktif. Maka dari itu, wawasan desain grafis sangat amat penting diterapkan untuk mengembangkan kreativitas dari tenaga pendidik dan penunjang alat komunikasi sehingga dapat menghasilkan kualitas pembelajaran yang baik. SMP AL-Uswah Surabaya merupakan sekolah menengah pertama di Surabaya yang memiliki harapan agar dapat menciptakan sebuah sistem pendidikan yang dapat menjawab tantangan dari dunia pendidikan pada saat ini. Merebaknya virus COVID-19, menyebabkan banyak sekolah meminta siswanya untuk belajar di rumah. Semua kegiatan belajar mengajar dilakukan secara online baik dengan tatap muka melalui online meeting, maupun dengan pemberian modul materi secara online. Siswa dapat belajar dengan baik dan menyenangkan jika didukung oleh media pembelajaran yang menarik dan interaktif. Oleh karenanya, berbagai media belajar yang menarik dan interaktif diperlukan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini mengusulkan pelatihan desain grafis untuk mengembangkan kreativitas guru-guru di SMP AL-Uswah Surabaya. Pelatihan akan dilakukan secara online dengan menggunakan perangkat Zoom Meeting. Pelatihan meliputi bagaimana menyusun media promosi pembelajaran yang menarik dan interaktif serta bagaimana menggunakan perangkat lunak seperti Canva untuk membantu proses desain. Diharapkan melalui pelatihan ini, dapat menjadi bentuk kontribusi ITS terhadap perkembangan pendidikan di Indonesia di tengah wabah COVID-19.
