Abstract

Game-based assessment (GBA) has developed as an innovative education method, including learning basic arithmetic operations. This study aims to analyze user experience and satisfaction using B-Block, an assessment-based game for basic arithmetic operations. The study involved 94 junior high school students with an age distribution of 12-13 years old and varying levels of gaming experience. The research used descriptive statistical analysis, validity and reliability test, Pearson correlation test, and multiple linear regression to identify factors influencing user satisfaction and continuance usage intention. The analysis showed that B-Block has good usability and educational benefits, with user satisfaction being the most dominant aspect. Validity and reliability tests confirmed that most variables were valid and reliable (Cronbach's Alpha > 0.7), except Errors, which had lower reliability (α = 0.632). Pearson correlation shows that Perceived Usefulness has a strong relationship with satisfaction (r = 0.784), while user satisfaction contributes significantly to continuance intention (r = 0.694). Multiple linear regression revealed that perceived usability and perceived usefulness were the main factors influencing user satisfaction, while confirmation and satisfaction had the most effect on continuance intention. The findings confirm that the gameplay's usability and perceived usefulness are key in increasing user satisfaction while matching the experience with initial expectations, and user satisfaction contributes to continued use.

Abstract

Preprocessing is a widely used process in deep learning applications, and it has been applied in both 2D and 3D computer vision applications. In this research, we propose a preprocessing technique involving weighting to enhance classification performance, incorporated with a 3D CNN architecture. Unlike regular voxel preprocessing, which uses a zero-one (binary) approach, adding weighting incorporates stronger structural information into the voxels. This method is tested with 3D data represented in the form of voxels, followed by weighting preprocessing before entering the core 3D CNN architecture. We evaluate our approach using both public datasets, such as the KITTI dataset, and self-collected 3D human orientation data with four classes. Subsequently, we tested it with five 3D CNN architectures, including VGG16, ResNet50, ResNet50v2, DenseNet121, and VoxNet. Based on experiments conducted with this data, preprocessing with the 3D VGG16 architecture, among the five architectures tested, demonstrates an improvement in accuracy and a reduction in errors in 3D human orientation classification compared to using no preprocessing or other preprocessing methods on the 3D voxel data. The results show that the accuracy and loss in 3D object classification exhibit superior performance compared to specific preprocessing methods, such as binary processing within each voxel.

Abstract

Motion capture is a popular research topic, with one of its main applications being human face reconstruction. The demand for converting 2D images into 3D reconstructions continues to increase, especially in facial reconstruction, where progress is made in improving the accuracy of facial position prediction. However, there is still a significant gap in developing facial reconstruction technologies that can consistently convert 2D to 3D data with high accuracy, especially in scenarios involving dynamic facial expressions, diverse facial angles, and complex environmental conditions. Therefore, an approach using the triangulation method for 3D face reconstruction in the real world was developed. In the experiments, two cameras were used to obtain two face landmark coordinates so that the triangulation method can be implemented for 3D face reconstruction. This research aims to develop a motion capture approach that is able to accurately and efficiently transform 2D data into 3D face models without the need for complex hardware. The main contribution of this research is the development of a machine learning-based markerless motion capture technique designed to improve the accuracy of face position prediction in 3D face reconstruction from 2D data in realistic environments. This method seeks to bridge the current technology gap by providing a more flexible and reliable solution, expanding the potential applications of motion capture in various fields without dependence on specialized hardware. The results of face reconstruction research using markerless motion capture and triangulation method show RMSE values of 3.560839 for eyes, 1.644749 for nose, and 4.054638 for lips.

Abstract

Seluruh data citra berasal dari citra yang telah digunakan para peneliti sebelumnyaAbstractThe technique of separating the foreground and the background from a still image is widely used in computer vision. Current research in this technique is image segmentation. However, the result of its extraction is considered inaccurate. Furthermore, image matting is one solution to improve the effect of image segmentation. Mostly, the matting process used scribbles or trimap as a constraint, which is done manually as called a supervised method. The contribution offered in this paper lies in the acquisition of foreground and background that will be used to build constraints automatically. Background acquisition is determined from the variant value of the DCT feature that is clustered using the k-means algorithm. Foreground acquisition is determined by a subset resulting from clustering DCT values with edge detection features. The results of the two stages will be used as an automatic constraint method. The success of the proposed method, the constraint will be used in the supervised matting method. The difference in results from In the research experiment was measured using MAE (Mean Absolute Error) compared with the supervised matting method and with other unsupervised matting methods. The MAE score from the experimental results shows that the alpha matte value produced has a difference of 0.336, and the difference in processing time is 0.4 seconds compared to the supervised matting method. All image data comes from images that have been used by previous researchers.

Abstract

AbstractThe window is an architectural element that functions to incorporate natural lighting from outside into the building. Even daylight distribution into the room can minimize the use of artificial lighting. This research was conducted to find window position optimization by approaching the daylight factor (DF) distance distribution and spatial composition aesthetics. The analysis was carried out based on the qualitative distribution of DF in the room to the position of the window opening aesthetically compositional based on a graph of the theory of repetational compatibility. The fitting and normalization phase of DF values and the asymmetry aesthetics of the repetational match theory are the first step to get an optimization of the factor values which will be given a weight factor value (α) for both variables. The results of the study in the most optimal window position can be located at a distance of 23% from the width of the window opening wall area to the inner side of the window, where the weight factor value α = 0.5. Optimization using the  can be used by architects to determine the distribution of DF, asymmetry aesthetics or even both.

Abstract

Abstract This research discusses and applies photogrammetry techniques to determine the depth of the script carvings on some worn-out stone inscriptions so images of scripts can be more readable. Inscriptions are the backbone of ancient Indonesian historical writings. Unfortunately the significance of many such ancient inscriptions can not yet be used optimally since many inscriptions are found in a state of having poor legibility, and this due both to natural as well as human factors. To this day, photogrammetry techniques have not been widely used by Indonesian researchers in order to help analyze existing cultural heritage objects, especially stone inscriptions. In addition to previous photogrammetric techniques reviews, this article also brings forward my experiment on the photogrammetric techniques, especially those directly related to the stone inscriptions. The reconstruction was not intended to interpret the meaning of the scripts, but rather to give epigraphists a new insight into other ways of clarifying worn-out scripts.
