Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate the factors of intention to quit, which is the final decision made if the employee is dissatisfied with the job and its environment. This includes the physical work environment, non-physical work environment, and role conflict experienced by employees. This research uses quantitative methods with data processing using the Smart PLS version 4 application, with 100 respondents from PT X. Based on the research that has been conducted, it is known that the physical work environment has a negative and insignificant effect on intention to quit so that H1 is rejected, the non-physical work environment has a positive and insignificant effect on intention to quit so that H2 is rejected, and role conflict has a positive and significant effect intention to quit so that H3 is accepted. Overall, this study highlights the importance of both physical and non-physical work environments and role conflict in influencing employee’s intention to quit. Although the results of the statistical analysis did not always show a significant relationship, respondents' responses consistently indicated that comfortable working conditions, good interpersonal relationships, a positive organizational culture, and minimal role conflict can contribute to a decrease in employee’s intention to quit.

Abstract

This study focuses on identifying the factors causing a decline in performance target achievement in 2022 compared to 2021 and finding solutions to improve employee performance. It aims to evaluate whether factors like motivation, target challenges, and training effectiveness contribute to the decline. By analyzing the performance appraisal system, leadership, and development programs, the study seeks to design strategies for enhancing performance at PT PLN (Persero). Additionally, the study examines the influence of training and transformational leadership on employee engagement and performance, exploring the mediating role of employee engagement in this relationship. This research uses a causal approach with purposive sampling, involving 69 employees from PT PLN's Main Distribution Unit in Central Java and DI Yogyakarta, who have been employed for at least two years. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS) with questionnaires as the data collection method. The results show that both training and transformational leadership positively and significantly impact employee engagement and performance. Employee engagement also significantly mediates the relationship between training and transformational leadership on performance, highlighting its critical role in enhancing overall performance.

Abstract

Understanding the factors that enhance employee performance has become increasingly important amid continuous organizational transformation. This study investigates the role of organizational commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) in shaping employee performance at a leading power company in Indonesia that is experiencing rapid digital and structural changes. Using a quantitative research design, data were collected through a structured questionnaire involving 150 respondents and analyzed using inferential statistical methods. This study employed Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) as the data analysis technique, utilizing a second-order construct model to capture higher-order latent variables. The results showed that all variables-organizational commitment and OCB-contributed positively and significantly to improved employee performance. Employees who are emotionally committed to the organization, can effectively balance professional and personal responsibilities, and voluntarily engage in organizational citizenship behaviors tend to exceed performance expectations. These findings not only enrich the theoretical discourse in human resource management but also provide practical strategies for organizations seeking to build a resilient and high-performing workforce in an increasingly complex environment.

Abstract

Sustainable economic growth increasingly relies on intangible factors like corporate culture and employee engagement. This article explores how organizational values, beliefs, and behaviors—along with employees' emotional connection to their work—impact innovation, strategic alignment, and sustainability implementation. Drawing on literature from 2015–2025 and global data, we analyze these dynamics at both organizational and macroeconomic levels. A strong, innovation-driven culture aligned with strategic goals enhances performance and adaptability. Engaged employees, in turn, drive motivation, productivity, and creativity, linking high-level strategy with operational execution. We highlight how inclusive cultures foster risk-taking and knowledge sharing, essential for innovation. Additionally, we examine how culture and engagement influence strategy execution, often determining whether well-designed strategies succeed or fail. In sustainability contexts, embedding CSR and ESG values into corporate culture and actively involving employees is vital for achieving long-term goals. On a national scale, widespread employee engagement and strong corporate cultures support productivity, innovation, and advancement toward global sustainability targets. The article concludes by emphasizing the critical role of leaders and policymakers in cultivating these cultural and engagement drivers to achieve sustainable economic growth. Abstract

This study investigates the impact of e-wallet usage on the consumer behavior of Generation Z, a demographic group that is rapidly embracing digital financial technologies. As digital payment systems become increasingly integrated into daily life, especially for tech-savvy young consumers, concerns have emerged regarding their influence on financial decision-making and spending habits. E-wallets offer ease, speed, and convenience, which may lead users particularly Generation Z to engage in more frequent and impulsive purchasing behavior. Through a systematic review of existing empirical studies, this research analyzes patterns and trends in the relationship between e-wallet adoption and consumptive behavior. The findings consistently demonstrate a significant positive correlation between the frequency of e-wallet usage and an increase in consumer spending. Key factors such as user-friendly interfaces, real-time transactions, digital promotions, and perceived security are identified as major drivers behind this trend. Additionally, the review highlights the dual nature of e-wallets: while they promote financial inclusion and accessibility, they also pose risks related to financial discipline. The study concludes by emphasizing the need for enhanced financial literacy, responsible digital behavior, and strategic interventions to ensure that e-wallet usage supports rather than undermines the long-term financial well-being of Generation Z.

Abstract

This research investigates the connections among transformational leadership, organizational culture, and the results achieved by the organizational outcomes—such as changes, innovativeness, employee retention, and performance—across various institutional contexts. The researchers used a qualitative approach, employing structural equation modelling, regression analysis, and mediation frameworks that involved employee engagement and job satisfaction. The findings consistently show that transformational leadership positively significant influences organizational outcomes, both directly and indirectly through mediating variables such as organizational culture and employee engagement. Organizational culture shapes employee behavior, improves performance, and increases responsiveness to change. Meanwhile, employee engagement acts as a bridge linking leadership to both employee retention and organizational performance. In different settings, such as education and business, transformational leadership nurtures a positive culture that enhances innovation and promotes employee commitment. These results underscore the importance of developing leadership programs that support transformational practices and of establishing cultural frameworks aligned with strategic goals. This study contributes to the current understanding of leadership and human resource development by offering empirical evidence from a multinational and cross-sector perspective, thus delivering practical insights for driving organizational change and attaining excellence.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between work-life balance, social media usage, and employee performance, focusing on social media's mediation role. Drawing on Boundary Theory, which studies the blurring of work and personal boundaries, the study looks at how social media can help or hinder employee performance in the context of work-life balance. Data were gathered and analyzed to evaluate four hypotheses: Work-life balance improves employee performance; Work-life balance boosts social media usage; Social media usage improves employee performance; and Social media usage mediates the link between worklife balance and employee performance. The data confirm that work-life balance has a favorable relationship with both social media usage and employee performance, with social media acting as an effective mediator. These findings underscore social media's dual role as a productivity tool and facilitator of work-life balance. The study adds to the expanding corpus of research on digital technologies in the workplace, recommending that firms use social media to improve employee well-being and performance. Future research should look into the potential obstacles and long-term repercussions of social media use in various job settings.
