Abstract

This article aims to determine the implementation of the Madrasah head's leadership towards increasing teacher professionalism at MIN 2 Sawahlunto City. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method. The data collection technique used is by examining or exploring several journals, books, and documents (printed or electronic) as well as other data sources that are considered relevant to this article. The findings of this article are based on eight principal leadership principles that can be applied to develop their madrasah. The principles in question consist of constructive, creative, participatory, cooperative, delegative, integrative, rational, pragmatic, exemplary, and adaptable and flexible. Where the madrasa head is responsible for fostering and forming professional teachers in order to build quality madrasas. Therefore, the leadership of the Madrasa head and teacher professionalism are two factors that influence each other.

Abstract

This research aims to optimize teacher performance at SMPN 36 Sijunjung through the application of a dynamic organizational culture and transformational leadership style. The research method used is a qualitative case study approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, document analysis and triangulation to ensure the validity of the data. The research results show that a dynamic organizational culture, which encourages innovation, collaboration and open communication, can increase teacher motivation and involvement in carrying out their duties. Apart from that, the transformational leadership implemented by the school principal, which involves inspiration, collaboration, motivation, knowledge updates and teacher empowerment, has a positive effect on improving teacher performance. Thus, the combination of dynamic organizational culture and transformational leadership has proven effective in optimizing teacher performance at SMPN 36 Sijunjung. This research provides an important contribution to the development of school management strategies in improving the quality of education.

Abstract

This research aims to describe a case study of organisational behaviour in MAN Kota Sawahlunto with a focus on the principal's innovation in preparing students to continue their education to public universities. The type of research used is explorative with a qualitative approach. Descriptive analytic method is used to describe and answer the problem of existing phenomena, both in single variables and correlation or comparison of various variables. Data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation study. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model technique consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and verification and conclusion drawing. Based on the results of the study, there are several innovations implemented by the head of MAN Sawahlunto, which include building a conducive academic environment, improving the quality of teaching, career guidance, and counselling. These innovations proved to be effective in helping students achieve their goal of continuing their education to public universities. In addition, collaboration with public universities and regular monitoring of student progress are also integral parts of the holistic approach

Abstract

The research aims to explore the strategies employed by dormitory leaders in developing students' self-reliance at SMP Negeri 2 Sawahlunto. The study adopts a qualitative case study approach with data collected through observation, interviews, document analysis, and triangulation to ensure data validity. Findings reveal that the strategies implemented by dormitory leaders at SMP Negeri 2 Sawahlunto in fostering students' self-reliance are centered around structured planning, thorough needs analysis, and holistic program implementation. Planning begins with specific and measurable goals aligned with core values such as honesty and responsibility. Needs analysis involves active participation from students, parents, teachers, and dormitory staff, supporting character development through a variety of intracurricular and extracurricular activities. These strategies aim to create a dormitory environment that nurtures students' independence, leadership, and social responsibility, contributing to broader educational objectives.
