Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the characteristics of coconut farmers in Beo Timur Sub district, Beo District, Talaud Regency. The research was conducted from November 2021 to January 2022, The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data and then analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the coconut farmers in Beo Timur Sub District had an average age of 47 years (81.48 percent). Most coconut farmers have an education level of highscool and Bachelor's as many as 11 people or 40.74 percent. With 5 years of farming experience (59 percent). Coconut farmers have other jobs, namely as fishermen, carpenters and coolies (48 percent), civil servants, shop entrepreneurs, credit counters, motorcycle taxis. Coconut plantations are mostly planted with other crops, namely cloves and nutmeg (67 percent). Some coconut farmers plant rambutan and durian trees as well as seasonal crops such as cassava and chilies.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to analyze the priority risks in carrot farming in Rurukan Village, East Tomohon District, Tomohon City. This research was conducted for four months from October 2023 to January 2024, located in Rurukan Village, East Tomohon District, Tomohon City. The data collection method used in this study was the survey method. Data were obtained from direct interviews with carrot farmers, by asking questions in the form of a prepared questionnaire. Supported by data obtained from the Tomohon City Agriculture Office, Tomohon City Central Bureau of Statistics, and Rurukan Village Office. The sampling method used is purposive sampling method to farmers who grow carrots until the last planting season in 2023. The sample in this study were carrot farmers in Rurukan Village with a total of 10 respondents (farmers). The analysis used in this research is descriptive qualitative analysis. The data obtained were identified and then processed with FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) analysis tools to assess the risks that could potentially arise. The results showed that the risk analysis of carrot farming in Rurukan Village, East Tomohon Subdistrict, Tomohon City showed that there were four potential failures that became risk priorities, namely the long dry season, pest attacks, high rainfall, price fluctuations. The results of the assessment based on FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) analysis show that farmers are not maximizing their efforts in handling the risks that occur in carrot farming.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of the Turi Mania Farmers' Group in rice farming in Bunia Village, Bintauna Sub-district, Bolaang Mongondow Utara Regency. The research was conducted over a period of 3 months from September to November 2023, based in Bunia Village, Bintauna Sub-district, Bolaang Mongondow Utara Regency. The data for this study were collected through primary data obtained from direct interviews with members of the Turi Mania Farmers' Group about their roles in rice farming, using a prepared questionnaire. Secondary data were obtained from the Bunia Village government office and from online sources such as journals and research theses. The sampling method used was a census method, involving all members of the Turi Mania Farmers' Group in Bunia, from the management to the members, totaling 14 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach, presented in the form of tables. The data obtained were analyzed using a Likert scale. This analysis explains the role of the Turi Mania Farmers' Group based on learning classes, cooperation platforms, and production units. The results show that the role of the Turi Mania Farmers' Group in Bunia Village, Bintauna Sub-district, Bolaang Mongondow Utara Regency in rice farming is categorized as a learning class with a total score of 121 and a role index of 95.74%, fairly significant as a cooperation platform with a total score of 82 and a role index of 67.74%, and significant as a production unit with a total score of 113 and a role index of 89.68%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the characteristics of women fruit traders in Traditional Market Bahu, Malalayang District, Manado City, North Sulawesi. The research used descriptive analysis method with more descriptions from the results of interviews and documentation. The data that has been collected is described and studied qualitatively and described in tabular form and explained descriptively. The results stated that female fruit traders in Bahu Traditional Market have age characteristics with a range of 18 years to more than 50 years, most respondents have a high school education level and most have a number of dependents of 1 person to 4 people, most have been trading for 6 years to 10 years, all fruit traders are married, have the right to ownership of the stall, with trading activities lasting 13 hours, traders sell several types of fruit such as mangosteen, banana, papaya, langsa, and the capital spent ranges from IDR1,000,000 to more than IDR6,000,000 and the respondent with the smallest profit was IDR1,190,000 and the largest was IDR6,842,000.
