Abstract

The shrimp farming industry is a major pillar in the global fisheries economy, its high demand in the international market is a potential for gaining quick profits. However, the use of intensive cultivation technology by large farmers has been suspected in contributing to environmental damage. In light of this, the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries has implemented a sustainable fisheries development program with the goal of overcoming this negative impact, this includes the implementation of Good Aquaculture Practices (GAP) in accordance with Ministerial Regulation Number: PER.19/MEN/2010 concerning quality control and safety of fishery products. The purpose of this study was to analyze key factors in the application of Good Aquaculture Practices to shrimp farming. This study used a mixed method approach. Data were obtained from shrimp pond experts who joined the East Java shrimp entrepreneur community. The data analysis method used was the Matrix of Cross Impact Multiplication Applied to a Classification (MICMAC) structural analysis. The results showed that 2 variables had been shown to be the most influential and became the main drivers in the application of Good Fish Farming Practices management in shrimp farming, these variables are the "Use of Chemicals, Biological Materials, and Fish Medicines (UCBF)" and "Harvest" (HV).

Abstract

Community participation in waste management is very important because the community contributes the largest volume of waste generation. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the quality of the community's role in waste management from the perspective of women's perceptions. Data were obtained from 30 female organization administrators in Dau District, Malang Regency. The data were analyzed by using the ratio between the facts of respondents' answers and the maximum score for the quality of roles with ordinal data scales. The results showed that group roles' quality was highest, discussion attendance was high, physical activity was high, and waste management fees were lowest. This research suggests that public awareness of paying dues needs to be increased by motivating through the 3R partial waste management results to improve public facilities in the village and sub-district areas. Abstract

Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) is one of the environmental instruments that aims to realize sustainable development. So, it is hoped that in making the Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD), the SEA can be compiled as the basis for its preparation. However, many regions still make SEA after preparing the RPJMD. So, this research aims to analyze the significant factors of the SEA-RPJMD, which play an essential role in creating the RPJMD with sustainable development goals. The method used in this research is MICMAC analysis. The data is obtained from secondary data. The variables in this study consisted of 5 variables, namely the carrying capacity and capacity of the environment for development (carr), estimates of environmental impacts and risks (risk), performance of ecosystem services (serv), efficiency of natural resource utilization (eff) and the level of vulnerability and capacity to adapt to climate change (climate). The results of the analysis show that the efficiency of natural resource use (eff) and estimates of environmental impacts and risks (risk) have a relationship that can affect the whole system, this has been shown from the results of the analysis, which states that these two variables are in the linkage/relay position. In addition, from the relationship of variables, estimates of environmental impacts and risks (risk) have the most significant influence on the system. It shows that estimates of environmental impacts and risks must be studied deeply to realize an insightful RPJMD for sustainable development. Keywords: Direct, Indirect, Relationship, SEA

Abstract

Tourism is one of the most strategic development sectors, with a direct or indirect multiplier effect that benefits a country's social, cultural, educational and economic sectors. The tourism sector plays an important role in improving the national economy, especially reducing unemployment and increasing state productivity. Pasuruan Regency has UPTD Cultivation of Cattle Sumberejo which receives funding from the government, but always loses money so the government redesigns the UPTD Cattle Cultivation area into Arjuno Agro Techno Park (AATP) as an eco and edutourism area, education and training, research center, and livestock cultivation. The Arjuno Agro Techno Park (AATP) area is supported by the existence of a number of natural tourist destinations, as well as coffee and durian plantations. The purpose of this study is to analyze opportunities for improving the sustainable development of Arjuno Agro Techno Park in Pasuruan Regency in an effort to support the revival of the tourism sector. The type of research used is a type of quantitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews and focus group discusion. The samples used are experts who have a lot of information and great strength for the sustainable development of Arjuno Agro Techno Park. The results indicate that six scenarios, namely formal education, training, livestock production, ICT, ecotourism and infrastructure, have great opportunities to support the realization of sustainable Arjuno Agro Techno Park (AATP) development in Pasuruan Regency.

Abstract

ABSTRACTRegional resilience is a key component in supporting national resilience through stable food security. Cavendish bananas have significant potential as a leading commodity with growing domestic and international demand. However, the development of Cavendish banana cultivation in Indonesia still faces significant challenges, such as the attack of Fusarium wilt Tropical Race 4 (TR4), dependence on a single variety, and low adoption of modern agricultural technologies. This study aims to analyze the influence of farmer empowerment in Cavendish banana cultivation to strengthen regional resilience. Data collection was carried out through an in-depth literature review of various sources related to farmer empowerment and regional resilience based on Cavendish banana cultivation. SWOT analysis was used to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in farmer empowerment in Cavendish banana cultivation. The results indicate that farmer empowerment contributes to increased income, diversification of processed products, and strengthening agribusiness competitiveness. However, main challenges such as dependence on a single variety and vulnerability to diseases need to be addressed. This study suggests diversifying banana varieties, adopting modern agricultural technologies such as tissue culture, and strengthening government policies to improve farmers' capacity and biosecurity management. This approach is expected to create a sustainable agricultural system that is adaptive to environmental and market changes.
