Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the influence of  using video media with STAD learning model towards students activity and students achievement. The research sample were students in VIIIa and VIIIc class that was selected by cluster random sampling. Data of the research were qualitative and quantitative that was obtained from questionnaire. The qualitative data was gotten by students learning activity and questionnaire that was analyzed descriptively. The quantitative data were the average score of test, that was analyzed by t and U test. Result of research indicate that mean of student learning activity have good criteria at the highest aspect of working together (89.25). Increasing of student achievement also happend in cognitif aspect (C1) with gain (0.54). It means, using video media with STAD learning model significantly influenced the improvement of students learning activity and students achievement in motion of plant subject matter.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media video dengan model pembelajaran STAD terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIIa dan VIIIc  yang dipilih secara cluster random sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif berupa hasil belajar. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari aktivitas belajar siswa dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji t dan uji U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas belajar siswa rata-rata berkriteria baik pada aspek tertinggi bekerja sama (89,25). Peningkatan hasil belajar juga terjadi pada indikator aspek kognitif (C1) dengan rata-rata gain (0,54). Dengan demikian, penggunaan media video dengan model pembelajaran STAD berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi gerak pada tumbuhan.Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, gerak tumbuhan, hasil belajar, media video, STAD

Abstract

This study was aimed to determine the effect of TGT learning model and flash card media toward students learning activity and material understanding. This study was designed using not equevalent group pretest posttest design. The samples were students of grade X1 and X2 and it was established by purposive sampling. The qualitative data of students learning activity was collected by observation sheet, and students respons was collected by questionnaire, then it was analyzed descriptively. The quantitative data of material understanding was collected by an average value of pretest, posttest and N-Gain, then it was analyzed statistically using t-test and U-test. The results of this study showed an increased students learning activity with percentage 80,16% as high criteria, but it was not influence significantly to students material understanding of Plant Kingdom. The N-gain average of material understanding on C1 indicator was 92,8617,93; and C3 indicator was 32,7127,79 were not different significantly. While, C2 indicator was 86,5424,13 different significantly.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran TGT dengan media kartu bergambar terhadap aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan materi oleh siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes-postes kelompok tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X1 dan X2 yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data kualitatif berupa aktivitas belajar yang diperoleh melalui lembar observasi, dan tanggapan siswa diperoleh melalui angket, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data kuantitatif berupa penguasaan materi siswa diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes, postes, dan N-gain, kemudian dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata aktivitas belajar yaitu 80,16% dengan kriteria tinggi, namun tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan penguasaan materi Dunia Tumbuhan. Rata-rata N-gain penguasaan materi pada indikator C1 sebesar 92,8617,93; dan indikator C3 sebesar 32,7127,79 tidak berbeda signifikan, namun indikator C2 sebesar 86,5424,13 berbeda signifikan.Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar, kartu bergambar, penguasaan materi, TGT

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to increase the students activity and students result study, students perception on environment management subject matter with poster media through Student Team Achievement Division cooperative learning model. This research was aimed to find out the influence of the implementation of poster media in (STAD) type to improve the learning outcomes and students' learning activity on environment management subject matter. This research was experiment research. The sample were class VII A and VII D SMP Negeri 1 Seputih Mataram, Central Lampung that was chosen by cluster random sampling technique. The research design was pretest-posttest non equivalen. Result study were student activity chapter 4 in table 10 activity in experiment class and control class. Based on the result of the students, it was known that the students were agreed and glad to use poster media in learning through cooperative learning model of STAD type.Tujuan dari penilitian ini adalah meningkatkan aktivitas siswa dan hasil belajar siswa serta tanggapan siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA materi pokok pengelolaan lingkungan dengan menggunakan media poster melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas VIIA dan VII D SMP Negeri 1 Seputih Mataram Lampung Tengah yang dipilih secara acak dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Desain penelitian adalah pretest-postest non equivalen. Pada penelitian ini memperoleh hasil penilitian pada akivitas siswa memperoleh peningkatan yang sangat tinggi pada kelas eksperimen jika dibandingkan kelas kontrol, data belajar aktivitas siswa bisa dilihat pada bab 4 ditabel 10 aktivitas kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui hasil yang diperoleh yaitu siswa sangat setuju dan merasa senang belajar menggunakan media poster melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD.Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar, media poster, model STAD, pengelolaan lingkungan

Abstract

This experiment was aim to find effectiveness Make A Match model of learning activities and outcomes of students. The research design was non equivalent pretest – posttest.  The research sample were students in Xb and Xc class that was selected by cluster random sampling method. This research data the form of quantitative which obtained from the average value of test were analyzed by using t-test and U-test and the qualitative data which obtained form the observation sheet of learning activities and questionnaire responses of students were analyzed descriptive. The results showed that the average of students outcomes in experimental class are higher than control (experiment= 77.2; control = 71.1). The average of student learning activities percentage in all observed aspects in experimental class shown higher enhancement than control (experiment = 83.6; control = 63.6). The students also gives positive responses to applicating cooperative learning model type Make A Match.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas model Make A Match terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Desain penelitian pretes-postes tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian siswa kelas Xb dan Xc dipilih menggunakan metode cluster random sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U dan data kualitatif diperoleh dari lembar observasi aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil belajar  kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi (eksperimen = 77,2; kontrol = 71,1). Rata-rata persentase aktivitas siswa semua aspek kelas eksperimen juga menunjukkan peningkatan yang lebih tinggi (eksperimen = 83,6; kontrol = 63,6). Semua siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan model Make A Match.Kata kunci :  aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar, make a match

Abstract

The purpose of research was to know the misconception of Biology on seventh grade students. The design was descriptive. Quantitative data were result of multiple choices test and essay that was analyzed by Certainty of Response Index (CRI) method. Qulitative data were the result of interview about misconception from science teachers. Samples thorough were VIII1 and VIII2 student that used simple random sampling. The result of research was 55% students misconception on all cocept in second semester. Misconception based on student CRI criteria answer was 13,28. With persentage of misconception that was 22,89% (low criteria). Misconception was dominanted in sub concept of ecosystem. Therefore, it can be concluded that concept of science that had frequently misconception was ecosystem.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui miskonsepsi materi IPA Biologi dan materi IPA yang paling banyak terjadi miskonsepsi pada siswa. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan kajian deskriptif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari tes soal pilihan jamak dan esay yang di analisis dengan metode Certainty of Response Index (CRI). Data kualitatif berupa hasil wawancara tentang miskonsepsi dengan guru pelajaran IPA. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII1 dan VIII2 semester genap yang dipilih dari populasi secara simple random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang miskonsepsi mencapai 55% dari seluruh jumlah siswa. Miskonsepsi berdasarkan kriteria jawaban CRI yaitu 13,28 dengan persentase miskonsepsi siswa yaitu 22,89% (kriteria rendah). Miskonsepsi didominasi pada sub konsep satuan-satuan ekosistem. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa materi yang paling banyak terjadi miskonsepsi adalah ekosistem.Kata kunci : miskonsepsi, Certainty of Response Index, IPA Biologi

Abstract

This study implemented LSQ strategy which were to find out the influence of the LSQ strategy to the students’ mastery. The design was  pretest-postest non-equivalent which used cluster random sampling. The study was held on SMPIT Baitul Muslim at VIIA as control class and VIID as experiment class. N-gain was obtained from pretest and posttest score which was analyzed by using t test and U test (Mann Whitney Test) at SPSS 17. The result of this study showed that the avarage students’ score, which was taught by LSQ, increased from 53,33 to 69,63 which indicated the increase about 16,30%. This study also showed the increase students’ material mastery at the experiment class higher than the control class with average N-gain 33,53 at experiment class confidence rate about 95%.Penelitian ini menggunakan strategi LSQ dalam pembelajaran untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan strategi LSQ terhadap penguasaan materi oleh siswa. Penelitian ini meggunakan desain pretes-postes tak ekuivalen. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIA sebagai kelas kontrol dan VIID sebagai kelas eksperimen pada SMPIT Baitul Muslim. Pemilihan sampel secara cluster random sampling.  Data penelitian berupa nilai penguasaan materi oleh siswa yang diperoleh dari tes awal dan tes akhir, kemudian dicari N-gain dan  dianalisis menggunakan uji t dan uji U (Mann Whitney Test) melalui program SPSS 17. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata penguasaan materi oleh siswa pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 69,63 meningkat sebanyak 16,30% disbanding rata-rata sebelumnya sebesar 53,33. Pada penelitian ini juga menunjukkan terjadinya peningkatan penguasaan materi siswa pada kelas eksperimen dengan rata-rata N-gain 33,53 pada taraf kepercayaan sebesar 95%. Kata kunci : ciri-ciri makhluk hidup, learning start with a question, penguasaan materi

Abstract

Based on observations and interviews with Biology teacher at SMP N 19 Bandar Lampung obtained information that eighth grade learning outcomes is still low at only 22.22% of students who achieved mastery Minimal Criteria (KKM). This is presumably due to the use of a variety of media as a tool in learning is still rare. Therefore it is necessary to use a medium that media can make students more actively in learning that results belajarpun increased. The purpose of this study was to mengetahuai realia media effectiveness through guided inquiry model of the learning activities and students' mastery of the material. The research design was a pretest posttest non-equivalent, with sempel retrieval technique using a cluster random sampling. Quantitative research data is data is data mastery of the material obtained from the pretest-posttest values were then calculated with the formula N-Gain scores and data analysis using t-test at the 95% level of belief. Qualitative data in the form of student activity data and questionnaire responses of students drawn from the observation. The results of this study indicate an improvement of the control of matter on a class that uses a media realia through guided inquiry models with average pretest ratat the 3.11 increase to the average post-test is 7.78 with N-gain of 68.54. Likewise with student learning activities, from five aspects of student learning activities observed was evident in the first meeting with the average value of learning activities by 60.95% increased to 75.05% in the second peretemuan. As for the students' responses on the effectiveness of media use realia through guided inquiry model of general students were pleased with the learning that has been done. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of the environment around the school with the use of discovery methods in improving science process skills and student learning activities in the subject matter ecosystem. This research data were quantitative and qualitative form. Quantitative data obtained from the average value of the pretest, post test, and N-gain in ecosystem material was analyzed by t-test. Qualitative data obtained from the percentage average of students' learning activities which analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the use of the school environment through discovery methods can improve students' science process skills with the average value of N-gain of 69.38. It was also increase also in all aspects of KPS students. Student’s learning activities also increased by an average of 79.5%. It could be concluded that learning to use the environment around the school with the discovery learning method effect in improving science process skills and activities of students.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan lingkungan sekitar sekolah dengan metode discovery dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan aktivitas belajar siswa pada materi pokok ekosistem. Data penelitian ini berupa data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari nilai rata-rata pretest, postest, dan N-gain pada materi ekosistem kemudian dianalisis dengan uji–t. Data kualitatif berupa rata-rata persentase aktivitas belajar siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan lingkungan sekitar sekolah melalui metode discovery mampu meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa dengan rata-rata nilai N-gain sebesar 69,38. Peningkatan juga terjadi pada semua aspek KPS siswa.  Aktivitas belajar siswa juga mengalami peningkatan 79,5%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan lingkungan sekitar sekolah dengan metode pembelajaran discovery berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan aktivitas belajar siswa. Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar, keterampilan proses sains,lingkungan sebagai sumber belajar, metode discovery

Abstract

A practical guidebook was needed to support the laboratory activities. This study aims to describe the characteristics, validity, and practicality guidebook. The design of this study was Research and Development (R D) with 4-D models define, design, develope, and disseminate. However, this research was only up to the develop stage. Product that was developed in this study was colored, with the interesting picture, and used tahoma letter, font was 12. Each worksheet of the guidebook consists of student identity, lab work title, theory, objections, reasearch question, tools dan materials, work steps, argument schemes, argument sessions, and Reports. Expert and practitioner validation results showed the category "excellent". The results readability test obtained the category "excellent". The test result of the whole practice procedure showed the category almost all activities performed. Thus, it can be concluded that product is valid and practical.Buku penuntun praktikum dibutuhkan untuk menunjang terlaksananya kegiatan laboratorium. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan karakteristik, validitas, dan praktikalitas buku penuntun praktikum. Desain penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R D) dengan model 4-D yaitu define, design, develope, dan disseminate. Akan tetapi penelitian ini hanya sampai pada tahap develope. Produk yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini berwarna, dengan gambar yang menarik, dan menggunakan huruf tahoma, font 12. Setiap lembar kerja praktikum terdiri atas identitas siswa, judul praktikum, dasar teori, tujuan, pertanyaan penelitian, alat bahan, langkah kerja, skema argumentasi, sesi argumentasi, dan laporan. Hasil validasi ahli dan praktisi memperoleh kategori baik sekali. Hasil uji keterbacaan memperoleh kategori baik sekali. Hasil uji keterlaksanaan seluruh prosedur praktikum memperoleh kriteria hampir seluruh kegiatan terlaksana. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan valid dan praktis.Kata Kunci : Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI), perubahan iklim, penuntun praktikum

Abstract

This research aimed to know the effect of guided inquiry method towards student conceptual understanding and science process skill. Samples were VIIA and VIIB that was chosen by purposive sampling. This research design was pretest-postest non equivalent group. The quantitative data was obtained from the average  value of test that analyzed using t-test andU-test. The qualitative data was student quostionnaire responses that analyzed descriptively. The result showed that the guided inquiry method can not improved student science process skillthat proof fromN-gain average 56,12. Whereas guided inquiry method can improved student conceptual understanding with average 60,41. Beside that, most student (100%) gave positive response towards guided inkuiri method. Thus, using guided inquiry method can not improved student science process skill signicantly but guided inquiry method can improved student conceptual understanding significantly.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan metode inkuiri terbimbing terhadap keterampilan proses sains dan penguasaan konsep siswa. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIA dan VIIB yang dipilih dari populasi secara purposive  sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian pretes postes kelompok tak ekuivalen. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U.Data kualitatif berupa data angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode inkuiri terbimbing tidak meningkatkan secara signifikan keterampilan proses sains siswa dengan rata-rata N-gain 56,12. Akan tetapi, penggunaan metode inkuiri terbimbing meningkatkan secara signifikan penguasaan konsep siswa dengan rata-rata N-gain 60,41. Sejalan dengan hal itu, semua siswa (100%) memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan metode inkuiri terbimbing. Dengan demikian, penggunaan metode inkuiri terbimbing tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan keterampilan proses sains tetapi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan penguasaan konsep siswa. Kata kunci : inkuiri terbimbing, keterampilan proses sains, penguasaan konsep
