Abstract

This research aim was to know the effectiveness of the monopoly learning media based ASSURE  in increasing students critical thinking of the second grade in SHS. The design used was a pretest-posttest not equivalent. The research samples were the students of MIA I and MIA III amounted of 65 students that were selected through purposive sampling technique. The data of this research were qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative data were average value of students critical thinking ability were based on the instrument and then analyzed descriptively. Quantitative data were obtained from N-Gain, average value of the pretest, posttest, and then analyzed statistically using test 0.05 confidence level in the U. The results showed that the students in experiments class have average achievement score in the critical thinking with the category "very good" while the catagory of control class is "less". The Improvement of the learning outcome from the experiment class was higher than the class of the control with an average value of gain (2,815±44.67). Thus, monopoly based learning media ASSURE was effective in increasing students critical thinking.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas media pembelajaran monopoli berbasis ASSURE dalam peningkatan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas XI MIA.Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pretest-posttest tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas XI MIA I dan XI MIA III berjumlah 65 peserta didik  dan dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data berupa rata-rata nilai kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik yang diperoleh dari instrument kemampuan berpikir kritis lalu dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data hasil belajar diperoleh dari N-Gain, rata-rata nilai pretest, dan posttest, lalu dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji U pada taraf kepercayaan 0,05.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik kelas eksperimen memiliki pencapaian skor berpikir kritis dengan kategori “sangat baik” sedangkan kelas kontrol ialah “kurang”. Kata kunci: assure, berpikir kritis, media monopoli, peserta didik

Abstract

This study was aimed to determine the effect of TGT learning model and flash card media toward students learning activity and material understanding. This study was designed using not equevalent group pretest posttest design. The samples were students of grade X1 and X2 and it was established by purposive sampling. The qualitative data of students learning activity was collected by observation sheet, and students respones was collected by questionnaire, then it was analyzed descriptively. The quantitative data of material understanding was collected by an average value of pretest, posttest and N-Gain, then it was analyzed statistically using t-test and U-test. The results of this study showed an increased students learning activity with percentage 80,16% as high criteria, but it was not influence significantly to students material understanding of Plant Kingdom. The N-gain average of material understanding on C1 indicator was 92,8617,93; and C3 indicator was 32,7127,79 were not different significantly. While, C2 indicator was 86,5424,13 different significantly.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran TGT dengan media kartu bergambar terhadap aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan materi oleh siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes-postes kelompok tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X1 dan X2 yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data kualitatif berupa aktivitas belajar yang diperoleh melalui lembar observasi, dan tanggapan siswa diperoleh melalui angket, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data kuantitatif berupa penguasaan materi siswa diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes, postes, dan N-gain, kemudian dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata aktivitas belajar yaitu 80,16% dengan kriteria tinggi, namun tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan penguasaan materi Dunia Tumbuhan. Rata-rata N-gain penguasaan materi pada indikator C1 sebesar 92,8617,93; dan indikator C3 sebesar 32,7127,79 tidak berbeda signifikan, namun indikator C2 sebesar 86,5424,13 berbeda signifikan.Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar, kartu bergambar, penguasaan materi, TGT

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of student work sheet guided inquiry based on improving Science Process Skill. Study design was pretest-posttest non-equivalent group. Samples were VII1 and VII2 that were chosen by Purposive Sampling. Quantitative data which were obtained from the average value of test were analyzed by t-test and U-test. The qualitative data were students Science Process Skill from the observation sheet and questionnaire responses that analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the N- gain average of exsperiment class was (70,78). Observation result of Science Process Skill has high criteria (80,54%), and most (85,48%) of the students gave positive respond to Student Work Sheet based on Guided Inquiry. Thus, the use of guided inquiry based worsheets could improved science process skill students in the subject matter of contamination and its impact on living.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan Lembar Kerja Siswa berbasis Inkuiri Terbimbing dalam meningkatkan Keterampilan Proses Sains. Desain penelitian pretes-postes kelompok tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian siswa kelas VII1 dan VII2 SMP Negeri 1 Pagelaran dipilih secara Purposive Sampling. Data KPS siswa yang diperoleh dari nilai pretest, postest, dan N-gain yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U. Data kualitatif KPS dan tanggapan siswa dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian Sd N-gain sebesar (70,78 18,97). Observasi KPS memiliki kriteria tinggi (80,54%) dan sebagian besar (85,48%) siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan LKS Inkuiri Terbimbing. Dengan demikian, penggunaan LKS berbasis Inkuiri Terbimbing dapat meningkatkan KPS siswa pada materi pokok pencemaran dan dampaknya bagi makhluk hidup.Kata kunci: keterampilan proses sains (KPS), LKS inkuiri terbimbing, pencemaran, dan dampaknya bagi makhluk hidup

Abstract

This research was aimed to know the effect of  student work sheet (SWS) based science process skill (SPS) towards student SPS. This research design was pretest-post test non-equivalent group. Samples were VIIC and VIIF that was chosen by purposive sampling. Quantitative data was obtained from the average value of test and analyzed by using t-test and U-test. Qualitative data was description of  student SPS, learning activities data and questionnaire responses were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the students SPS was still low, it was proofed by pretest average 13.07; post test average 25.75; and N-gain average 0.15. N-gain average on observation skils 0.17; interpretation skill 0.08; and communication skill 0.33. Whereas students average of learning activities was 60.25% with middle criteria. Beside that, the most of students (92.5%) gave postive responsed towards SWS based SPS. Thus, learning used SWS based SPS was influenced not significantly to improve students SPS. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lembar kerja siswa (LKS) berbasis  keterampilan proses sains (KPS) terhadap KPS siswa. Desain penelitian adalah  pretes-postes kelompok tak ekuivalen. Sampel yaitu kelas VIIC dan VIIF yang dipilih secara  purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan U. Data kualitatif berupa deskripsi KPS, data aktivitas belajar, dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa KPS siswa masih rendah yang dibuktikan dengan rata-rata pretes 13,07; rata-rata postes 25,75; dan rata-rata N-gain sebesar 0,15. Rata-rata N-gain pada keterampilan observasi 0,17; keterampilan interpretasi 0,08; dan keterampilan komunikasi sebesar 0,33. Sedangkan rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa sebesar 60,25%  yang berkriteria sedang. Selain itu, sebagian besar siswa (92,5%) memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap LKS berbasis KPS. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan LKS berbasis KPS berpengaruh tidak signifikan dalam meningkatkan KPS siswa. Kata kunci :  aktivitas belajar, KPS, LKS berbasis KPS

Abstract

The average students` score of  Growth and Development in living organisms concepts was   lower compared to score of the average  school. This study aimed to determine the effect of  Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning models  to increase the mastery of the  students learning activities and  concept mastery  of Growth and Development in living organisms. This study used pretest-postest not equivalent designed  applied on sample which was selected using cluster random sampling technique. The data of this study was obtained from the test (pretest and posttest) and the observation sheet (students learning activities). Data was analyzed  using  t-test through  SPSS17 program.Based on the data analyzed,  the of N-gain score of experimental class on student`s concept mastery  was higher  than the control class. Students learning activities  used TPS model tend to  increase  from the first lesson to the third lesson with the average  of 17.34 %.The  study showed that the application of cooperative learning model type TPS affecting student`s concept  mastery and learning activities on the concept of Growth and Development in living organisms. Keywords: TPS  model learning, concept mastery , students` learning activities

Abstract

This research aimed to know the effect of audio-visual towards student’s learning activities and understanding of the concept. Samples were VIIG and VIIH chosen by cluster random sampling. Research design was pretest-postest non equivalent. The quantitative data were understanding of the concept was gotten from the average of pretest, postest score and N-gain be analyzed using T-test and U-test. The qualitative data were student learning activities data’s and questionnaire responses were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the students learning activities increased in every aspect. Aspect of asking questions (80.56%); provide opinions (72.22%); cooperate with friends (78.47%); group discussion activities (76.39%); answering questions (79.17%). The used of audio-visual equipment can enhance students understanding of concepts with an average 45.83 pre-test; 81.25  post-test and 64.64 N-Gain. Thereby, the used of audio-visual media in the subject characteristics of living organism have a significant effect to improved learning activities and students understanding of the concept. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media audio-visual terhadap aktivitas dan pemahaman konsep siswa. Sampel penelitian siswa kelas VIIG dan VIIH  dipilih secara cluster random  sampling. Desain penelitian adalah pretes-postes non ekuivalen. Data kuantitatif berupa hasil pemahaman konsep diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes, postes dan N-gain dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji U. Data kualitatif berupa data aktivitas dan angket tanggapan siswa dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aktivitas belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan setiap aspek. Aspek mengajukan pertanyaan (80,56%); memberikan pendapat (72,22%); bekerjasama dengan teman (78,47%); melakukan kegiatan diskusi kelompok (76,39%); menjawab pertanyaan (79,17%). Penggunaan media audio-visual dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa dengan rata-rata pretes 45,83; postes 81,25 dan N-gain 64,64. Dengan demikian, penggunaan media audio-visual pada materi Ciri-ciri Makhluk Hidup berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan aktivitas belajar dan pemahaman konsep siswa. Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, audio-visual, ciri-ciri makhluk hidup, pemahaman konsep

Abstract

The purpose of this study was determine the effectivity of the cooperative learning jigsaw type to increase learning result and the learning activities of students in the subject matter of the World Plant. Quantitative data obtained from the average value of pretest and posttest were statistically analyzed using test-t and Mann Whitney-U test. Qualitative data in the form of student activity was obtained by observation and questionnaire responses of student. The results showed that the use of cooperative learning model type jigsaw significant effect in improving learning result of students. The average of learning result was increasing in all indicator, it was seen in the experimental class average N-value gain higher than control class. The average yield of all activities of the students stated that using cooperative learning model jigsaw type in experiment class was higher than using discuss method in control class. Then, the student give positive responses equal toward 88,98% using cooperative learning jigsaw type.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran tipe Jigsaw terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa pada materi pokok Dunia Tumbuhan. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes, postes dan N-gain yang dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji-t dan uji Mann Whitney-U. Data kualitatif adalah data aktivitas belajar siswa yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi dan tanggapan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan pembelajaran tipe Jigsaw efektif terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Rata-rata peningkatan hasil belajar pada semua indikator yang diamati pada rata-rata nilai N-Gain pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Rata-rata keseluruhan aktivitas belajar siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan menggunakan metode diskusi pada kelas kontrol. Selanjutnya, 88,98% siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan model kooperatif tipe Jigsaw.Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar siswa, hasil belajar siswa, pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw, plantae

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using observation method to improve students` activity and students` learning outcomes on the subject matter of flower structure and function. This study was an experimental study with research samples are students of class IVA and IVC SD Negeri 1 Sawah Lama Bandar Lampung that were selected by cluster random sampling. The research data were quantitative that were obtained from a pretest-posttest, and qualitative data were students activities that were analyzed descriptively. The result of the research data were obtained from an overall average of the students learning outcomes improvement in experimental class, that was 65,90. Students learning activity in the experimental class with an average of 76,03 has a high category. It can be concluded that learning using observation methods affected improvement of studens learning outcomes and learning activities.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan metode observasi dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan aktivitas belajar siswa pada materi struktur dan fungsi bunga. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas IVA dan IVC SD Negeri 1 Sawah Lama Bandar Lampung yang dipilih secara acak dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Data penelitian ini berupa kuantitatif diperoleh melalui pretes-postes, dan kualitatif berupa aktivitas siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil data penelitian diperoleh rata-rata keseluruhan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen yaitu sebesar 65,90. Aktivitas belajar siswa pada kelas esperimen dengan rata-rata 76,03 memiliki kategori tinggi. Abstract

Mastery of the material is the result of learning in cognitive skills. The observations in class X Senior High School 15 Bandar Lampung mastery of the material by students is still low. This study aimed to determine the effect of media use picture cards with STAD learning model the activity and control of matter by students on the subject matter Virus. The study design is a pretest-posttest non-equivalent. Quantitative data obtained from initial test scores and final test dinalisis statistically using t-test at 95% confidence level. Qualitative data in the form of student activity data and questionnaire responses of students to use picture cards with model media STAD analyzed descriptively.The results showed the use of a picture card media with STAD learning model has influence on the increased activity of learning and mastery of the material by the students of class X SMA Negeri 15 Bandar Lampung on the subject matter Virus. The highest increase in the indicators of aspects of understanding are supported by studying the activity of the aspects of working with friends (90.7) and lowest indicator is the aspect of the analysis. Besides the increase is supported by the data questionnaire kemenarikan picture card media (88.29%) by stating that the students are happy, easier to understand, more active and motivated to learn to use the picture card media. It can be concluded that the use of a picture card media with STAD learning model has influence on the increased activity of learning and mastery of the material by the students of class X Senior High School  15 Bandar Lampung on the subject matter Virus.Keywords: picture card media, STAD, learning activities, mastery material, virus.

Abstract

This study aimed to know the influence of using audio-visual media through STAD  learning  in student activity and mastery of subject matter vertebrates. This study design was pretest-postest non equivalent group. Samples were students of class X1 and X2, choosen by cluster random sampling. Research data form of qualitative data that is obtained  from student activity sheets observation were analyzed descriptive. The quantitative data on students' mastery of  material that is obtained by pretest and posttest  were analyzed by using t-test and U-test. Results  research  activity of  students during  learning process that was not an increase  activity from the  meeting I to the meeting II with  decline of (3.3%). The mastery of subject achievement was descrease with decline (1,32%). It can be concluded that the use of audio-visual media with STAD was not influence  to improve activity and mastery of subject.Penelitian ini bertujuan  untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media audio-visual melalui pembelajaran STAD terhadap aktivitas dan penguasaan materi pokok vertebrata. Desain penelitian  pretes-postes non-ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X1 dan X2 dipilih secara teknik cluster random sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kualitatif yaitu aktivitas siswa diperoleh dari lembar observasi yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data kuantitatif yaitu penguasaan materi siswa diperoleh dari pretes dan postes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji t dan uji U. Hasil penelitian aktivitas siswa pada proses pembelajaran yaitu tidak adanya peningkatan aktivitas dari pertemuan I ke pertemuan II dengan penurunan sebesar (3,3 %). Penguasaan materi mengalami penurunan sebesar (1,32%). Dengan demikian pembelajaran media audio-visual melalui STAD tidak berpengaruh  untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan penguasaan materi.Kata kunci: aktivitas, media audiovisual, pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD, penguasaan materi, vertebrata
