Abstract

Physics learning in accordance with the 2013 curriculum is needed by teachers who can improve the quality of learning, especially in terms of the ability of students to think creatively. One way to improve students' creative thinking skills in learning is to use inquiry-based physics learning multimedia. However, the fact that is found in the field that in learning physics has not fully utilized technology in learning and makes learning in school monotonous still because student just expect learning material from the teacher so that it is difficult to develop students' creative thinking skills. The aim of this reasearch is to design physics learning multimedia based  on inquiry and know the value of validity for inquiry-based physics learning multimedia. The type of research used is research and development (R & D) and the object of research is inquiry-based physics learning multimedia. Based on data analysis obtained from 2 studies conducted. First, design physics learning   multimedia based on inquiry with a scientific approach. Second, the average result of validation data analysis is 80.4 with valid criteria. So, it can be concluded that the inquiry-based physics learning multimedia with the scientific approach is declared valid and can be used in grade X physics learning in SMA.

Abstract

Physics learning is done in accordance with the mandate of the 2013 curriculum that students actively find their own knowledge. The fact in School shows that inquiry learning in physics has not been applied well, and used  of teaching materials is still limited that support the process of learning implementation. Solution that can be done is to create an inquiry self-based physics learning module. The purpose of this study was to determine the validity of the physics-based inquiry learning module and RPP on Newton's legal material about motion and gravity.Research carried out including the type of Research and development (R & D). The object of this research is physics based inquiry and RPP. Based on the data analysis that has been done can be stated the results of the research that the validity of the product has a high level of validity with the average value of validation of physics-based inquiry learning module that is 89.47 and RPP is 90.74 with the criteria of each the same is very valid. It can be concluded that in the investigation of the validation of the physics-based physics learning module on newton's legal material about motion and gravity is very valid for use in physics learning of class X of SMA 2nd semester.

Abstract

Experiment of free fall motion is one of phenomena in physic. Parameters of free fall motion still measured by stopwatch and meter. The purpose of research is development of free fall motion experiment set based on microcontroller with personal computer display. This instrument have highest precision and accuration. Average of measured result is 9,821 ± 0,025 with average of precicion relatif is 98,3% and average accuration is 0,992

Abstract

The development of science and technology that is increasingly advanced is widely used by humans to meet human needs. This rapid technological development is marked by the number of equipment that has been created and operated both manually and automatically. Utilization of an automatic control system in the context of smarh home can be applied to the curtain and light media that exist in every home. The purpose of this study is to determine the performance specifications and design specifications of an automatic curtain using a light sensor and remote control.This research is included in engineering research. This study explains the specifications of performance and specifications for automatic curtain design. Performance specifications describe the functions of automatic curtain tool builders, while design specifications explain the accuracy and accuracy of the tools. The measurement technique is done directly and indirectly. Direct measurements are carried out on the voltage value, while indirect measurements are carried out by analyzing the accuracy and accuracy of the automatic curtain tool. The sensor used is the LDR sensor. The results of the study of performance specifications and design specifications. First, the performance specifications of the automatic curtain consist of the LDR sensor, remote control, curtain drive, and electronic circuit builder of the automatic curtain system. The LDR sensor used is the LDR sensor with a maximum resistance of 50kΩ. The second result, the results of the design specifications of this study consisted of accuracy and accuracy. The accuracy value of the automatic curtain tool is 99.16% and the accuracy value is 98.98%

Abstract

A calorimeter is a device used to determine heat capacity, specific heat capacity and latent heat capacity. Calorimeter needs to be developed in terms of temperature and mass measurements into digital measurements using thermocouple sensors and Load Cell sensors and Arduino Uno as microcontrollers. This research is included in engineering research. This study describes the performance specifications and design specifications of a digital calorimeter experiment set. Performance specifications describe the system functions of the experimental set builder, while design specifications explain the accuracy and accuracy of the tools. The measurement technique is done directly and indirectly. Direct measurements are made of temperature and mass, while indirect measurements are carried out by analyzing the accuracy and accuracy of the digital calorimeter experimental set. The sensors used are thermocouple sensors and Load Cell sensors. The percentage of accuracy of the temperature reading is 99.38% with a percentage error of 0.62%. At a temperature measurement of 30 ⁰C the percentage of accuracy was 99.57%. At a temperature measurement of 70 ° C, the percentage of measurement accuracy is 99.75%. At measuring 100⁰C, the percentage of measurement accuracy was 99.82%. The accuracy percentage of the mass reading is 99.46% with a percentage error of 0.54%. In the repeated measurements of the mass of the copper cube which has a mass of 59.6 grams, the percentage of measurement accuracy is 99.60%.

Abstract

Blood sugar levels are a major factor of diabetes. Diabetes is a one of a dangerous diseases caused by damage to the working system of the hormone insulin in the body’s metabolism. The diagnosis of blood sugar levels is generally by pricking a finger or arm to take a sample of the patient’s blood. Another method can be used without hurting the patient’s body, which is using a urine sample. Discoloration of the patient’s urine can be detected using the TCS230 color sensor and photodiode. The design of the tool system in this research uses the changes in the color of the urine specimen as a measurement parameter. This research aims to determine the performance and design specifications of the manufacture of blood sugar levels based on the level of urin turbidity using the TCS230 color sensor and photodiode. There are two research results. First, the result of performance specifications is a beam-shaped measuring device consisting of an object box measuring 8,5x6x8 cm3 and an electronic component box measuring 20x10x10 cm3. Second, the result of design specifications are the precision of the tool at 95,95% with a percentage of errors of 4,44% and accuracy of 99,25%.

Abstract

Kegiatan PKM ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru-guru SMP Lubuk Sikaping dalam mengembangkan media interaktif berbasis kontekstual. Metode yang digunakan terdiri dari beberapa tahap yaitu tahap observasi, persiapan, pelaksanaan, monitoring. Hasil analisis data dari pretest dan postest, disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan PKM ini telah dapat meningkatkan kemampuan guru-guru IPA SMP Lubuk Sikaping dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Berdasarkan angket yang diberikan pada akhir kegiatan pelatihan, diperoleh hasil bahwa peserta menyatakan kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat dan berkaitan dengan pembelajaran di sekolah

Abstract

INCREASING THE COMPETENCE OF SCIENCE TEACHERS OF SMP/MTSN LUBUK SIKAPING THROUGH CONTEXTUAL-BASED LEARNING MATERIALS DEVELOPMENT TRAINING. This activity aims to improve the competence of science teachers SMP/MTsN Lubuk Sikaping through training development of contextual based teaching materials. To achieve the objectives and targets set, the method used consists of observation, orientation and discussion, preparation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. The instruments used are tests of understanding of the material and questionnaire responses of trainees. Data analysis techniques used are paired t test and percentage analysis Based on data analysis, obtained the average value of pretest is 46.2676 and at postest 63.0672. Furthermore, paired t test, obtained results of significance 0.000 <0.05. This indicates that there is an increase in the competence of IPA teachers of SMP/MTsN Lubuk Sikaping through training of contextual based teaching materials. Based on the questionnaire given at the end of the training activities, that the activity is very useful and related to the subjects which is taught in schools.

Abstract

In the 21st century, information and communication technology has developed rapidly. Changes in the learning system to be student-centered. One of the principles of the 2013 curriculum is that students learn from various learning sources. Learning resources can be in the form of print media or electronic media. When studying, teachers rarely connect physics with everyday life, whereas nowadays, the wording many learning media that can explain physics in everyday life. Research on physics learning media has done a lot. This study has a purpose, namely to see the impact of ICT-based physics learning media on senior high school student learning outcomes. The research method is meta-analysis. Articles published in 2011-2021. The article consisted of 17 national articles and three international articles that met the predetermined criteria to be processed to calculate the effect size. Effect size is calculated based on five categories, namely grade level, ICT-based learning media, learning materials, online/offline ICT-based media, and student learning outcomes. The research results obtained (1) ICT-based learning media gave the highest effect in class XI, namely 1,87. (2) ICT-based learning media gives the highest effect on Adobe Flash media, which is 3,30. (3) the learning material gives the highest effect on the rigid body equilibrium material, which is 5,50. (4) online/offline ICT-based media have the highest effect on offline media, namely 1,41. (5) learning outcomes have the highest effect on the knowledge aspect, namely 1,28. Therefore, ICT-based physics learning media has a good effect on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Responding to the 21st century, among others, is necessary to develop creative thinking skills. However, students' creative thinking skills are still low, this is due to the lack of modules that can help students in their knowledge and develop creative thinking skills, including in physics subjects. In general, this researcher is producing a contextual-based physics module that integrates creative thinking skills. In this research, the type used is R&D with ADDIE design. The instruments are in the form of a validity test questionnaire sheet by the lecturer and a practicality test questionnaire sheet by the lecturer. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using statistics with a correlated t-test”. Based on the analyzed data, it shows that the physics module developed has a value of 84.80 and is in the valid category. The use of the module on static fluid and heat temperature values obtains practicality values of 88 and 92, respectively, both of which are in the practical category. The use of the tested module its effectiveness on high school students scored 30.33 at the pretest stage and 60.73 at the posttest stage. This increase indicates that the module is in the effective category.
