Abstract

This research is backgrounded by the low learning outcomes of students in social studies subjects because the learning outcomes in social studies subjects because the learning is still teacher-centred and the low number of teacher participating in training on the development of learning methods. One of the efforts in overcoming this is the need for innovative and effective learning methods, one of which is by using demonstration learning methods. This type of research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design design with a pretest-posttest design. The population of this study was class VII students of SMPN 2 Tarogong Kidul which amounted to 62 people.The sample in this study was VII-H as the experimental class and class VII I as the form of a test question sheet.The results showed that.1. There was no significant difference in the students initial abilities before the implementation of the demonstration method between the experimental class and the control class.2.There is a significant difference in the final abilities of students after the implementation of the demonstration method in social studies subjects.3.there is an increase in student learning outcomes after the implementation of the demonstration method in social studies subjects.The demonstration method is a waay of presenting learning by demonstrating or showing students a certain process, situation,or object according to the material being studied.The advantage of the demonstration method can encourage student learning motivation.As well as the demonstration method can liven up the lesson because students not only hear but also see the live events that are happening.This method will be easier for students can see directly,not just hear.

Abstract

Development of thinking skills and character building of students in national education to form a dignified nation. The social character that is formed in the human personality will equip them to be able to live side by side full of love, mutual respect, democracy, mutual cooperation, peace and mutual concern. The purpose of this study was to identify, explore and obtain a factual description of the values ​​of the social character of pencak silat in the Riksa Raga hermitage as a social studies learning resource. The research method used is a quantitative approach with the type of oneshot case study, data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews and observations. The data analysis technique used validity test, reliability test, normality test, hypothesis test, homogeneity test and descriptive analysis test. The results of this study can be identified (1) there are values ​​that exist in pencak silat, namely religious values, caring values, tolerance values ​​and cooperation values; (2) the values ​​of social character contained in pencak silat such as the value of cooperation, the value of tolerance and the value of caring or solidarity; and (3) having a relatively effective level of efficiency, this is in accordance with the results of the prerequisite test analysis. Therefore, the application of social character values ​​has the effectiveness to be used as a social studies learning resource. So that the values ​​of social character can be used as a source of social studies learning at SMP Fauzaniyyah class VIII with the material of diversity and plurality.

Abstract

This study explores the representation of moral values in senior high school Economics textbooks using a qualitative content analysis approach. The main focus is to identify values such as honesty, responsibility, justice, and social empathy as they appear in both text and illustrations. The textbooks were selected based on their relevance to the Indonesian education curriculum. The findings reveal that although the textbooks contain numerous illustrations related to economic, social, and political activities, moral values are not explicitly presented. Illustrations such as queues at gas stations or the distribution of social aid, which should reflect justice and social responsibility, are given insufficient attention. Economics teachers in Garut also expressed that while the importance of integrating moral values into learning is acknowledged, the available textbooks are still lacking in this regard. The development of more integrated and contextual learning materials is proposed as a solution to strengthen the teaching of moral values in economics education.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui efektivitas media pembelajaran Powtoon dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS. Penelitian menggunakan metode quasi eksperiment dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control design. Populasi adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Garut, dengan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dengan menggunakan satu kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes yang diidentifikasi melalui pretest dan posttest dan non tes melalui observasi, wawaancara dan studi dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistik diperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang cukup signifikan dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran Powtoonterhadap hasil belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran IPS. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 dan α sebesar 0,05 menunjukan bahwa 0,000 < 0,05 maka Ho ditolak. The effectiveness of Powtoon learning media to improve social studies learning outcomesThe research objective was to determine the effectiveness of PowToon learning media in improving social studies learning outcomes. This research used a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control design. The population is students of class VIII SMP Garut, with a sample using purposive sampling using one experimental class and one control class. Data collection techniques used tests, identified through pretests, posttests, and non-tests through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Based on the results of statistical analysis, it was found that there was a significant influence of using PowToon learning media on student learning outcomes in social studies learning. The Asymp value evidences this. Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 and α of 0.05 indicate that 0.000 <0.05 then Ho is rejected.

Abstract

Decision making in the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in Islamic education is a crucial aspect that integrates the principles of quality management with Islamic values. TQM emphasizes decision making based on data and facts supported by the participation of all stakeholders through the principle of deliberation. In this study, the researcher will use a qualitative descriptive research type with a library research method that takes data sources from relevant theories in the form of: books, and articles, journals by reviewing various sources of literature. The technique used in this study is the purposive technique in selecting literature, namely by considering the relevance of the content, the credibility of the source, and the currency of the information. The results of this study are that the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in Islamic education has great potential to improve the quality of education as a whole, both in terms of academics and student character development. TQM emphasizes continuous improvement, empowerment of human resources, and data-based decision making.

Abstract

Kampung Naga yang terletak di Kabupaten Tasikmalaya, Jawa Barat, merupakan komunitas adat yang tetap teguh menjaga nilai-nilai serta aturan leluhur meskipun modernisasi semakin berkembang pesat. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini diarahkan untuk mengoptimalkan nilai-nilai tradisi Kampung Naga guna memperkuat ketahanan pangan sekaligus mengembangkan ekonomi kreatif berbasis kearifan lokal. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, dengan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa leuit (lumbung padi) masih menjadi sarana utama dalam menjamin ketersediaan pangan sepanjang tahun. Setiap rumah tangga rata-rata menyimpan 200-300 ikat padi yang mampu memenuhi kebutuhan selama 8-10 bulan, sehingga membantu menghadapi musim paceklik sekaligus memperkokoh identitas budaya. Di sisi lain, sekitar 40% keluarga terlibat dalam usaha ekonomi kreatif, seperti kerajinan bambu, produk batok kelapa, serta makanan tradisional. Aktivitas ini tidak hanya menambah penghasilan, tetapi juga menjaga kelestarian tradisi leluhur. Hambatan tersebut muncul akibat keterbatasan listrik dan akses teknologi digital, sehingga masyarakat memilih cara adaptasi sederhana melalui penjualan langsung dan penggunaan WhatsApp. Hasil pengabdian membuktikan bahwa penguatan nilai adat dapat menjadi dasar dalam menjaga ketahanan pangan sekaligus mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi kreatif tanpa menghilangkan identitas budaya. Strategi ini menampilkan bahwa masyarakat adat mampu menyaring teknologi modern agar tetap selaras dengan norma dan kearifan lokal, sehingga tradisi tetap terjaga sekaligus memberikan manfaat ekonomi yang nyata.

Abstract

Kader Posyandu memiliki peran strategis dalam menyampaikan informasi terkait program kesehatan kepada masyarakat. Namun, masih banyak kader yang menghadapi kendala dalam keterampilan komunikasi efektif sehingga berpengaruh terhadap tingkat partisipasi masyarakat dalam kegiatan Posyandu. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan oleh IPI Garut di Desa Mulyajaya, Kecamatan Banjarwangi pada bulan Agustus 2025 dengan tujuan meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi kader Posyandu. Metode pelatihan yang digunakan meliputi presentasi, diskusi kelompok terarah (FGD), dan role playing. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi yang signifikan. Nilai rata-rata pre-test dari 20 kader adalah 64,65, sedangkan nilai rata-rata post-test meningkat menjadi 76,7, dengan selisih peningkatan sebesar 12,05 poin. Peningkatan keterampilan ini berdampak positif terhadap meningkatnya partisipasi masyarakat dalam kegiatan Posyandu. Meskipun demikian, kader masih membutuhkan pelatihan lanjutan terutama dalam pemanfaatan teknologi komunikasi dan media sosial. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan program pelatihan berkelanjutan disertai monitoring dan evaluasi untuk memastikan kualitas komunikasi kader Posyandu terus berkembang.

Abstract

The use of social media can affect the characteristics of individuals, especially students who are still in the developmental stage. Therefore, guidance from PPKn teachers, as character education teachers, is needed to prevent the occurrence of deviant behavior due to unethical use of social media. This study aims to determine the extent of the influence of PPKn teachers' guidance on the ethical use of social media by students. The type of research used by the researcher is descriptive research using a quantitative approach. The population of this study is the tenth grade students of SMAN 8 Garut, with a sample of 60 tenth grade students obtained through simple random sampling techniques. a) The study found that PPKn teachers employed several methods to guide the use of social media, including teaching, reminding, discussing, and encouraging students to use social media properly. b) The obstacles faced include limited time, the content itself where students are unable to filter what is on social media, and the inability of PPKn teachers to monitor students constantly and independently. c) Efforts made include maximizing time in class, reminding, assigning tasks, interacting with students on social media, and providing direct examples. d) There is an influence of PPKn teachers' guidance on the ethical use of social media by students.

Abstract

Studi terkini menggali representasi nilai-nilai moral dalam buku teks Matematika untuk Kelas 10 SMA, dengan menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Fokus utamanya adalah pada empat jenis gambar dalam konteks pembelajaran, yang bertujuan untuk melihat dampaknya terhadap pemahaman moral dan etis siswa. Gambar-gambar ini termasuk permainan Angry Birds yang berkaitan dengan vektor dan operasinya, balap karung dalam konteks persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linear, ilustrasi tentang Covid-19 dalam pembahasan peluang, serta gambar permainan dadu dalam konteks yang serupa. Survei mengindikasikan dampak yang beragam dari gambar-gambar tersebut, mulai dari peningkatan kesadaran tentang strategi dan pemecahan masalah hingga kemungkinan mengalihkan fokus siswa dari materi pokok. Hasil studi ini memberikan perspektif segar mengenai bagaimana materi visual dalam buku teks berkontribusi pada pemahaman moral siswa, sekaligus menyajikan rekomendasi tentang penyajian konten edukatif yang optimal dalam lingkup pendidikan matematika. The current study explores the representation of moral values in Mathematics textbooks for Grade 10, using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The main focus was on four types of images in the learning context, aiming to see their impact on students' moral and ethical understanding. These images included an Angry Birds game related to vectors and their operations, a sack race in the context of linear equations and inequalities, an illustration of Covid-19 in the discussion of chance, as well as an image of a dice game in a similar context. Surveys indicated mixed impacts of the images, ranging from increased awareness of strategies and problem solving to the possibility of diverting students' focus from the subject matter. The results of this study provide a fresh perspective on how visual materials in textbooks contribute to students' moral understanding, while presenting recommendations on the optimal presentation of educational content within the scope of mathematics education.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika sangat dipengaruhi oleh pemilihan media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh permainan monopoli dalam pembelajaran matematika dan kemampuan kognitif pada materi aritmatika sosial. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis penelitian kuantitaif dengan menggunakan eksperimen pada variabel independen pengaruh permainan monopoli dalam pembelajaran matematika. Hasil penelitian menunjukan variabel dependen dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Kemranjen. Adapun variabel dependen dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Kemranjen. Desain penelitian menggunakan sistem populasi yang akan diambil oleh kelas VII. Sedangkan pada penelitian ini digunakan menggunakan desain Posttest-Only. Dalam populasi ini, yaitu siswa kelas VII. Teknik sampel ini menggunakan cluster random sampling dalam pengambilan sampel pada kelas VII E dan kelas VII F sebagai kelas eksperimen, dan untuk kelas VII B dan Kelas C sebagai kelas kontrol. Dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran kelas eksperimen menggunakan media pembelajaran monopoli. Nilai Sig ini adalah <α (0,026 <0,01) atau thit = 2,65 > t (α, 72) = 0,813 yang berarti bahwa Ho diterima. Berdasarkan hasil yang didapatkan menjelaskan bahwa tidak ada perlakuan yang harus diberikan kepada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol.
