Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in shaping students' character at SMK Negeri 8 Medan. Character education is an important aspect in the formation of students' personalities, especially in the school environment. PAI teachers have a strategic responsibility in guiding, instilling moral values, and building students' character based on Islamic principles. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. The research informants include PAI teachers, students, and the school principal. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques to identify the strategies applied by teachers in shaping students' character. The results of the study show that PAI teachers at SMK Negeri 8 Medan play a significant role in character building by integrating Islamic values into lessons, offering a personal approach to students, and organizing religious activities such as study groups, congregational prayers, and commemorating Islamic holidays. In addition, the supportive school environment strengthens the teachers' efforts in shaping students' character. This study concludes that the role of PAI teachers is crucial in shaping students' character, not only through classroom teaching but also through role modeling, spiritual approaches, and emotional development. The recommendation of this study is to improve the training and development of PAI teachers' competencies and to strengthen collaboration between schools, parents, and the community in supporting the formation of students' character.

Abstract

Learning evaluation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is an important step to measure the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process. This study aims to identify the steps that need to be taken in conducting Islamic Education learning evaluation. Through literature review and data analysis, this study concludes that evaluation steps include planning, implementation, and follow-up. Planning includes determining objectives, selecting instruments, and scheduling the evaluation. Implementation includes collecting data through various techniques, such as written tests, observations, and interviews. Follow-up includes data analysis, interpretation of results, and preparation of recommendations for learning improvement.

Abstract

Computer science and engineering has provided many benefits that can be applied in our lives, such as in the field of automata theory, one of the largest areas related to the efficiency of an algorithm in solving problems in computational models. Text to Speech is a technology that converts text into sound using a phonetization system, phonemes that are arranged to form a speech to make computers able to communicate and interact with everyday spoken language. Data that need to be interpret is the health data such as body temperature, heart rate per minute, and oxygen levels. Text to Speech is very useful to be applied to blind aids who need information in the form of sound because of their limitations. For this reason, it is necessary to make an application that can read text-based data that is stored into a voice that can be heard by the blind, the method used in this study is Finite State Automata (FSA) which is used to split Indonesian words into words according to its syllable patterns and facilitate the pronunciation process which is included in the blind aids so that it is expected to help the visually impaired to be able to find out their health condition. in this study, the test was carried out using the Confusion Matrix method, while the results obtained were 97% accurate.

Abstract

A knee meniscus tear is a sports injury that commonly occurs due to sudden twisting movements. This condition causes various levels of musculoskeletal pain. This case report aimed to evaluate exercise therapy to reduce pain in patients with lateral meniscus tears. We presented a 26 years old female patient diagnosed with a lateral, medial meniscus tear and left lateral meniscus tear due to a combat sports injury. Physiotherapy interventions were given in ice packs, Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS), and Ultrasound (US) to reduce pain. Our study concluded that physiotherapeutic intervention reduced the pain due to the integument rupture and vice versa, increasing the range of motion and thigh muscle strength. Abstract

This community service aimed to improve training quality for senior high school students by enhancing instructors’ professional, personal, and social competencies. Activities included training, observation, and evaluation using a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to 24 participants. Results showed that 50% of respondents rated instructors’ readiness and organization as Very Good, and 37.5% as Good. Professional competence, such as topic explanation, received Very Good ratings from 45.8%, while social competencies like communication and tolerance were rated Very Good by 37.5% and Good by 50%. The average score across all indicators was above 4.25 (on a scale of 1–5). These findings indicate a positive impact on training effectiveness and student engagement. This program contributes to creating more interactive and meaningful training sessions, aligning with the learning needs of today’s students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menginvestigasi dampak penerapan metode Wahdah dalam meningkatkan tingkat hafalan siswa di SMA Ar-Rahman Medan Helvetia. Metode Wahdah merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan ajaran agama Islam dengan materi pembelajaran umum. Studi ini melibatkan siswa SMA Ar-Rahman Medan Helvetia sebagai subjek penelitian, yang terbagi menjadi dua kelompok: kelompok eksperimen yang menerima pembelajaran dengan metode Wahdah, dan kelompok kontrol yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional.Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian eksperimen semu dengan pre-test dan post-test sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data. Pengukuran hafalan siswa dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji tertulis yang mencakup materi pembelajaran terkait. Analisis statistik dilakukan untuk membandingkan prestasi hafalan antara kedua kelompok. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa metode Wahdah dapat menjadi pendekatan yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan hafalan siswa SMA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan menganalisis strategi yang diterapkan oleh guru dalam membentuk akhlak siswa melalui metode pembiasaan di Kelas IX SMP IT Lukmanul Hakim Sei Mencirim Deli Serdang. Metode kualitatif digunakan untuk mendapatkan pemahaman mendalam mengenai praktik pembiasaan yang dilakukan oleh guru serta dampaknya terhadap perilaku siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan guru dan siswa sebagai partisipan utama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru mengimplementasikan beberapa strategi pembiasaan seperti pembiasaan sholat berjamaah, mengucapkan salam saat bertemu, dan menjaga kebersihan lingkungan sekolah. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pembiasaan akhlak yang konsisten menghasilkan perubahan positif pada perilaku siswa, dimana mereka menunjukkan peningkatan dalam kepatuhan, rasa hormat terhadap sesama, dan tanggung jawab sosial. Studi ini merekomendasikan bahwa sekolah harus terus mendukung dan memberikan sumber daya yang memadai bagi guru untuk melanjutkan dan meningkatkan praktik pembiasaan ini, sehingga membantu siswa tidak hanya secara akademis tetapi juga dalam pengembangan karakter mereka.

Abstract

Penelitian yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah metode penelitian kualitatif. Tempat penelitian ini di sekolah SMP IT Al-Falah Kutalimbaru. Observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi digunakan untuk teknik pengumpulan data. Reduksi, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan merupakan metode keabsahan data yang digunakan. Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan secara luas dan mendalam Implementasi Pendidikan Karakter Dalam Mata Pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam Pada Siswa Untuk Meningkatkan Akhlak di SMP IT Al-Falah. Penelitian ini bertujuan dapat menerapkan karakter pada mata pelajaran pendidikan agama islam bagi siswa untuk lebih mengembangkan akhlak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tugas guru dalam mengimplementasikan karakter di sekolah sangatlah penting. Pendidikan karakter disekolah dimulai dari pagi hari untuk menciptakan kondisi yang bermanfaat untuk peningkatan karakter siswa dan seluruh  pembelajaran hendaknya harus digerakkan oleh pendidikan karakter. Akhlak siswa tidak berkembang karena tidak adanya perhatian dari orangtua terhadap anaknya, sehingga siswa justru melakukan perilaku yang tidak baik karena tidak adanya rasa percaya diri siswa dalam mengikuti perkembangan zaman yang mudah dipengaruhi oleh teman dan lingkungan secara umum.

Abstract

Tujuan; Mempelajari pengaruh pelatihan rhythmic auditory stimulation (RAS) terhadap visual cue training (VCT) untuk memperbaiki kemampuan berjalan pasien stroke. Metode; Penelitian bersifat quasi experimental yang melibatkan 20 sampel dengan pembagian 10 sampel kontrol hanya VCT dan 10 sampel perlakuan RAS dan VCT, kemampuan berjalan diukur menggunakan dynamic gait index (DGI). Hasil; Pada kelompok kontrol di uji dengan paired sample test didapatkan nilai sebelum 14,80 kurang lebih 1,61 dan sesudah 15,10 kurang lebih 1,28, p=0,193 (p lebih besar 0,05) artinya tidak ditemui perubahan kemampuan berjalan pasien stroke. Pada kelompok perlakuan diuji dengan wilcoxon sign rank test didapatkan nilai sebelum 12,90 kurang lebih 2,42 dan sesudah 14,10 kurang lebih 1,66, p=0,016 (p kurang dari 0,05) artinya terdapat perubahan kemampuan berjalan pasien stroke. Pengaruh antara kedua kelompok diuji dengan mann whitney u test didapatkan nilai p=0,030 (p kurang dari 0,05) artinya ada perbedaan kemampuan berjalan. Kesimpulan; Pelatihan rhythmic auditory stimulation dan visual cue training berpengaruh signifikan terhadap perbaikan kemampuan berjalan pasien stroke.

Abstract

Martial arts is a sport that is enjoyed by many people, both men and women. According to the researchers' initial observations, these martial arts groups began to emerge. . Muay Thai is a martial art that uses kicks, punches and slams, and is more dominant in the form of free combat martial arts that first came from Thailand. Observations made by researchers at Medan Muay Thai Gajah Mada found that they experienced shortness of breath and fatigue, 30% had ankle injuries, another 20%. Minor injuries to TFCC can be classified as sprains of the wrist. As the name implies, the soft tissue of the wrist is complex. Disturbance to the area from injury or degeneration can result in more serious impairment of a wrist sprain, such as disability. pain occurs throughout the wrist area. The pain is aggravated by any activity or position that requires rotation of the forearm and movement toward the ulna. These movements are simple activities such as turning a doorknob or a lock. This study used physiotherapy interventions in the form of ice packs to reduce swelling and pain, then exercise therapy to improve wrist stability, ultrasound and also TENS to stimulate the surrounding muscles. Evaluation of the results aims to assess the reduction in swelling and pain and how much the stability of the wrist has increased postoperatively.
