Abstract

This research aims to describe the number of sense capabilities of students MTs. Islam Selaparang Putra on integer operations are reviewed from cognitive style. This research is qualitative descriptive research. The subject of this study was 4 people, 2 field-dependent subjects and 2 field-independent subjects. The instruments used are group embedded figures test, number sense test sheets, and interview guidelines. Data analysis techniques are done by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data is using the triangulation method. The number sense capability is analyzed based on the number sense indicator which is (1) understand the value and symbol numbers, (2) understand the relationship between numbers, (3) understand the decimal number system, (4) understand the meaning of number operations, (5) understand the relationship between number operations, (6) Perform calculations correctly, (7) have a wide range of settlement strategies, (8) have the ability to estimate the value of a calculation. The result of this research is the subject of field-dependent less using the number of his sense in answering questions and only meet one indicator. While the subject of field-independent uses the number of his sense to answer the problem and fulfill two indicators.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in mathematical reasoning ability (KPM) based on gender variation (VG) and mathematical self-efficacy (SEM). Quantitative research was chosen to answer the research question. The research design used comparative causality on 75 students at a State University in Mataram City. Data collection was based on gender variance in the selected sample (51 women and 24 men, KPM test scores consisting of 5 items, and a 20-point SEM questionnaire, which were further categorized into 3 levels (low, medium and high). Analysis The data used two-way ANOVA with a 3 x 2 factorial design. The post-anava follow-up test used the turkey test. The results showed that male KPM was better than female KPM. Based on SEM category, student KPM at high SEM was better than student KPM at low SEM This finding emphasizes the importance of instructors being able to observe the characteristics of self-efficacy and gender variations that have an impact on the mathematics learning process.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the error rate of class VIII MTs students on the Pythagorean theorem material. The research method used is descriptive quantitative type. The population in this study were all students of class VIII MTs Nurul Yaqin with a total of 21 students. The instrument used in this study used a multiple choice test of 25 items on the Pythagorean theorem material. While the results obtained in this study is the average value of the percentage error rate of 57.81% which includes less criteria (less than 70%). This is due to a lack of understanding of the subject matter of the Pythagorean theorem. In understanding the concept of the Pythagorean theorem, students are required to master the prerequisite material such as integer operations, fraction operations, and planes. If these prerequisite materials have not been mastered, it will be difficult to understand the concept of the Pythagorean theorem.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the students' mathematical spatial abilities based on gender differences in the VIII grade Mathematics subject. The population in this study were eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Praya. The subjects of this study were 4 students from 27 students of class VIII with the provisions of 2 male gender subjects and 2 female gender subjects who had the highest mathematical spatial ability of all students. The instruments used in this study were tests of mathematical spatial abilities and interviews. Technical data analysis is done by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data using triangulation techniques. The results showed that the spatial visualization ability of male subjects and female subjects had the same ability as indicated by the ability to determine the composition of an object after being manipulated in its position and shape. Meanwhile, in solving problems related to spatial orientation and spatial relations, male subjects are more dominant in using their spatial abilities than female subjects.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh model pembelajaran Cooperatif terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah meta-analysis, yaitu metode yang menggunakan data hasil-hasil penelitian yang telah terpublis. hasil penelitian bersumber dari databes yang telah terindeks Google Scholar, SINTA, dan Portal Garuda. Kriteria inklusi dan ekslusi dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif, dan hasil belajar matematika, data yang diperoleh kemudian ditentukan nilai effect size (ES) dan standard error (SE). Hasil analisis data menggunakan software JASP, menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan model pembelajaran Cooperatif terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik dengan estimasi dampak sebesar 0,50, dengan kata lain pengaruh model pembelajaran Cooperatif terhadap hasil belajar siswa berpengaruh sebesar 50% yang termasuk kategori sedang. begitu juga dengan hasil analisis variabel moderator pada klasifikasi per jenjang pendidikan. Ini berarti implementasi model pembelajaran Cooperatif terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa bisa dikatakan tepat jika digunakan disemua jenjang pendidikan, terutama pada jenjang SD.

Abstract

This research aims to develop GUI matlab project application in simulating and determining equation solution and nonlinear equation system using open, closed method method, Jacobian, Gauss Seidel, and Newton Raphson. The development of this application using 4-D development design method that was done through 4 stages namely: Define, Design, Develop, and Diseminate. The results of the trial were limited and the average field of students gave a very good response. This application can assist students in understanding and mastering the numerical course material, because the application was built with the design that suits the needs of the students especially on the steps of completion of the presented problems without having to reorder scribs in m-file and Windows Command.

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to find out the mathematical didactic design prepared by the teacher on mixed arithmetic operations material at tsanawiyah madrasah. Sources of data in this study were teachers and students. This type of research is a case study, namely research that describes a problem by taking in-depth data about the actual conditions in the field. The results of this study are that in conveying the material on mixed arithmetic operations the teacher has not linked the concepts being taught with everyday life. The teacher does not use media to complement the learning of mixed arithmetic operations specifically because there are several obstacles. Student mistakes in the learning process are conceptual errors, careless errors, and errors in understanding the questions. In order for the learning process to run well, the teacher must design learning from the planning stage to the end of the learning activity. Beginning with the teacher designing how to convey the concept of mixed arithmetic operations material so that it is easier for students to understand, how can the teacher find out students' understanding of mixed arithmetic operations material, the teacher's strategy in conveying material and learning methods to facilitate students' understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the difference between students with high and low levels of mathematical self-efficacy regarding their interest in learning mathematics at the high school level (SMA). The research design employed is quantitative. Data analysis utilized an independent samples t-test conducted via IBM SPSS Statistics 25. The study involved distributing questionnaires to 51 high school students from grades X, XI, and XII. Data processing included preliminary tests such as normality and homogeneity tests, followed by the Independent Samples t-test with a significance level of 5%. The hypothesis testing results using the Independent Samples t-test indicated a significance value (2-tailed) for equal variances assumed of 0.787 > 0.05, suggesting a difference between students with high and low levels of mathematical self-efficacy concerning their interest in learning mathematics at the high school level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan melibatkan 53 responden dari berbagai jenis Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA/MA/SMK), dengan 9 siswa laki-laki dan 44 siswa perempuan. Instrumen utama yang digunakan adalah angket yang difokuskan pada dua variabel utama, yakni self-efficacy matematis dan minat belajar matematika. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengumpulkan data yang representatif dan relevan mengenai self-efficacy matematis dan minat belajar matematika di tingkat SMA. Setelah proses pengumpulan data, dilakukan analisis menggunakan regresi linier berganda untuk mengidentifikasi korelasi antara self-efficacy matematis dan minat belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan dalam self-efficacy matematis antara siswa dengan minat belajar matematika tinggi dan rendah. Implikasi penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor seperti pengalaman awal, dukungan orang tua, dan strategi pembelajaran dalam merancang strategi efektif untuk meningkatkan self-efficacy dan hasil belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran matematika di SMA. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan kontribusi dalam pemahaman dan perbaikan proses pembelajaran matematika di tingkat SMA.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini merupakan tinjauan sistematis atas literatur dari berbagai sumber, termasuk pengindek scopus, DOAJ, dan Google Scholar, dengan rentang tahun terbitan antara 2013 hingga 2023. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (PBL) efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika pada siswa sekolah menengah. Namun, implementasi PBL memerlukan persiapan matang dari pendidik dan dukungan yang memadai dari sekolah. Meskipun PBL berdampak positif pada motivasi dan minat belajar siswa, diperlukan pendidikan yang disesuaikan, terutama untuk siswa dengan kebutuhan khusus. Hal ini menyoroti pentingnya memperhatikan kebutuhan individual siswa dalam menerapkan pendekatan pembelajaran. Penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk memahami faktor-faktor yang membuat PBL efektif dan bagaimana menerapkannya secara optimal dalam berbagai konteks pendidikan, termasuk kajian tentang interaksi antara faktor-faktor yang berbeda dalam penggunaan PBL dalam pembelajaran matematika untuk siswa kelas VII SMP.Abstract: This research represents a systematic review of literature from various sources, including Scopus, DOAJ, and Google Scholar, spanning from 2013 to 2023. The findings indicate that the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach is effective in enhancing the understanding of mathematical concepts among middle school students. However, implementing PBL requires thorough preparation by educators and adequate support from schools. Although PBL positively impacts students' motivation and learning interest, tailored education is necessary, especially for students with special needs. This highlights the importance of addressing individual students' needs in implementing the learning approach. Further research is needed to understand the factors that make PBL effective and how to optimally apply it in various educational contexts, including studies on the interaction among different factors in using PBL in teaching mathematics to seventh-grade junior high school students.
