Abstract

Abstract: The aims of this research were to find out the different effect of each categories of learning model, students interpersonal intelligence and their interaction towards students mathematics learning achievement on the subject of plane geometry. The research was quasi experimental with 3×3 factorial design. The population was all students of grade VIII State Junior High School in Madiun City on the second semester of 2013/2014 academic years. Sampling was done by stratified cluster random sampling technique. The sample of this research consisted of the students of SMP N 3 Madiun, SMPN 7 Madiun, and SMPN 10 Madiun. The sample consisted of 260 students. The hypothesis test used unbalanced two ways analysis of variance at the significance level of 0,05. Based on hypothesis test, it can be concluded that: (1) the cooperative learning model of Jigsaw type gives a better mathematics achievement than cooperative learning model of NHT type and direct learning model, and the cooperative learning model of NHT type gives a better mathematics achievement than direct learning model; (2) students with the high interpersonal intelligence had the same achievement as students with the medium interpersonal intelligence, students with the high interpersonal intelligence had better achievement than students with the low interpersonal intelligence and the students with the medium interpersonal intelligence had the same achievement as students with the low interpersonal intelligence; (3) on the cooperative learning model of Jigsaw type, NHT type and direct learning model, students with the high interpersonal intelligence had the same achievement as students with the medium interpersonal intelligence, students with the high interpersonal intelligence had better achievement than students with the low interpersonal intelligence and the students with the medium interpersonal intelligence had the same achievement as students with the low interpersonal intelligence; and (4) on students interpersonal intelligence high, medium and low, the cooperative learning model of Jigsaw type gives a better mathematics achievement than cooperative learning model of NHT type and direct learning model, and the cooperative learning model of NHT type gives a better mathematics achievement than direct learning model.Keywords:  Jigsaw, NHT, interpersonal intelligence

Abstract

Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah strategi pemecahan masalah dengan langkah-langkah polya dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan prestasi belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan di MTs Nurul Yaqin, subjek penelitiannya adalah siswa kelas VII . Adapun Jenis penelitian yang dilaksanakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dimaksud dirancang beberapa siklus yaitu siklus I dan II. Setiap siklus tediri atas beberapa tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, evaluasi dan refleksi. Adapun intrumen yang digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data diantaranya adalah lembar observasi dan tes hasil belajar siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus I, aktivitas belajar siswa pada pertemuan I dalam kategori kurang aktif dengan skor 13,23 Sedangkan pada pertemuan II hasil observasi aktivitas siswa dalm kategori aktif dengan skor 15,42. untuk prestasi siswa pada siklus I belum mencapai indikator kerja dimana ketuntasan belajar siswa hanya mencapai 50,07%, sedangkan indikator kerjanya 85%. Upaya yang dilakukan pada proses pembelajaran siklus II cukup berhasil. Hal tersebut terlihat pada skor aktivitas belajar siswa pada pertemuan I adalah 16,53 dengan kategori aktif dan pertemuan II adalah 19,87 dengan kategori sangat aktif. Untuk prestasi belajar yang diperoleh siswa pada siklus II dengan ketuntasan belajar sebesar 87,8% sementara indikator kerja untuk ketuntasan belajar hanya 85%. Jadi, ketuntasan belajar juga telah tercapai. Dengan demikian maka dapat dikatakan bahwa penerapan strategi pemecahan masalah dengan menggunakan langkah-langkah polya dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan prestasi belajar siswa pokok bahasan segi empat pada siswa kelas VII MTs Nurul Yaqin Kelanjur.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the difference in problem-solving skills in social arithmetic material is reviewed from the learning style and which learning style has the best problem solving ability. The type of research used is the QUASI experiment. This study was conducted at MTS Putri NW Narmada 2018/2019 school year. The population in this study is all students of MTS Putri NW Narmada. Sampling techniques using Cluster Random Sampling, the sample used is Class VII F. Data collected with tests and tested with ANAVA one way. The results of the study stated that: Students with auditory, visual, and kinaesthetic learning styles have different mathematical problem solving skills. To further need a further test post Anava with Scheffe method. From the average comparison test results The average between the row and the column obtained the conclusion as follows: (1) in a double-comparison test between students with visual and auditory learning style of Ho received. Because Ho is accepted, students who have a visual and auditory learning style have the same problem solving skills. 2 In the double comparison test between students with auditory and kinaesthetic learning style is accepted by Ho. Since Ho is accepted, students with kinaesthetic and auditory learning styles have the same problem solving skills. 3 In the double comparison test between students with visual and kinaesthetic learning Styles Ho was rejected. Because Ho is rejected, there is a difference in problem solving skills between students with kinaesthetic learning style with students of visual learning style.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the number of sense capabilities of students MTs. Islam Selaparang Putra on integer operations are reviewed from cognitive style. This research is qualitative descriptive research. The subject of this study was 4 people, 2 field-dependent subjects and 2 field-independent subjects. The instruments used are group embedded figures test, number sense test sheets, and interview guidelines. Data analysis techniques are done by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data is using the triangulation method. The number sense capability is analyzed based on the number sense indicator which is (1) understand the value and symbol numbers, (2) understand the relationship between numbers, (3) understand the decimal number system, (4) understand the meaning of number operations, (5) understand the relationship between number operations, (6) Perform calculations correctly, (7) have a wide range of settlement strategies, (8) have the ability to estimate the value of a calculation. The result of this research is the subject of field-dependent less using the number of his sense in answering questions and only meet one indicator. While the subject of field-independent uses the number of his sense to answer the problem and fulfill two indicators.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in mathematical reasoning ability (KPM) based on gender variation (VG) and mathematical self-efficacy (SEM). Quantitative research was chosen to answer the research question. The research design used comparative causality on 75 students at a State University in Mataram City. Data collection was based on gender variance in the selected sample (51 women and 24 men, KPM test scores consisting of 5 items, and a 20-point SEM questionnaire, which were further categorized into 3 levels (low, medium and high). Analysis The data used two-way ANOVA with a 3 x 2 factorial design. The post-anava follow-up test used the turkey test. The results showed that male KPM was better than female KPM. Based on SEM category, student KPM at high SEM was better than student KPM at low SEM This finding emphasizes the importance of instructors being able to observe the characteristics of self-efficacy and gender variations that have an impact on the mathematics learning process.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the error rate of class VIII MTs students on the Pythagorean theorem material. The research method used is descriptive quantitative type. The population in this study were all students of class VIII MTs Nurul Yaqin with a total of 21 students. The instrument used in this study used a multiple choice test of 25 items on the Pythagorean theorem material. While the results obtained in this study is the average value of the percentage error rate of 57.81% which includes less criteria (less than 70%). This is due to a lack of understanding of the subject matter of the Pythagorean theorem. In understanding the concept of the Pythagorean theorem, students are required to master the prerequisite material such as integer operations, fraction operations, and planes. If these prerequisite materials have not been mastered, it will be difficult to understand the concept of the Pythagorean theorem.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the students' mathematical spatial abilities based on gender differences in the VIII grade Mathematics subject. The population in this study were eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Praya. The subjects of this study were 4 students from 27 students of class VIII with the provisions of 2 male gender subjects and 2 female gender subjects who had the highest mathematical spatial ability of all students. The instruments used in this study were tests of mathematical spatial abilities and interviews. Technical data analysis is done by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data using triangulation techniques. The results showed that the spatial visualization ability of male subjects and female subjects had the same ability as indicated by the ability to determine the composition of an object after being manipulated in its position and shape. Meanwhile, in solving problems related to spatial orientation and spatial relations, male subjects are more dominant in using their spatial abilities than female subjects.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh model pembelajaran Cooperatif terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah meta-analysis, yaitu metode yang menggunakan data hasil-hasil penelitian yang telah terpublis. hasil penelitian bersumber dari databes yang telah terindeks Google Scholar, SINTA, dan Portal Garuda. Kriteria inklusi dan ekslusi dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif, dan hasil belajar matematika, data yang diperoleh kemudian ditentukan nilai effect size (ES) dan standard error (SE). Hasil analisis data menggunakan software JASP, menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan model pembelajaran Cooperatif terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik dengan estimasi dampak sebesar 0,50, dengan kata lain pengaruh model pembelajaran Cooperatif terhadap hasil belajar siswa berpengaruh sebesar 50% yang termasuk kategori sedang. begitu juga dengan hasil analisis variabel moderator pada klasifikasi per jenjang pendidikan. Ini berarti implementasi model pembelajaran Cooperatif terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa bisa dikatakan tepat jika digunakan disemua jenjang pendidikan, terutama pada jenjang SD.

Abstract

This research aims to develop GUI matlab project application in simulating and determining equation solution and nonlinear equation system using open, closed method method, Jacobian, Gauss Seidel, and Newton Raphson. The development of this application using 4-D development design method that was done through 4 stages namely: Define, Design, Develop, and Diseminate. The results of the trial were limited and the average field of students gave a very good response. This application can assist students in understanding and mastering the numerical course material, because the application was built with the design that suits the needs of the students especially on the steps of completion of the presented problems without having to reorder scribs in m-file and Windows Command.
