Abstract

The ability to count is one of the useful abilities for intellectual disability children in everyday life. Fun and easy numeracy skills methods can be a means to improve numeracy skills in intellectual disability children. The dakon game applied in this study can be a means to improve numeracy skills in intellectual disability children because in the dakon game, children are trained to count using kecik dakon seeds in solving arithmetic problems. This study aims to test the effectiveness of traditional dakon games to improve the numeracy skills of intellectual disability children. This research is an experimental study that uses a one group pretest-posttest design. In this study involved three students with intellectual disability children. The results of the analysis with the Shapiro Wilk statistical test showed that the traditional dakon game was effective to improve numeracy skills in intellectual disability children.

Abstract

Miopia merupakan salah satu gangguan penglihatan dengan prevalensi yang tinggi di Indonesia. Anak penyandang miopia memiliki potensi dalam pendidikan yang terlihat dari tingkat kecerdasan yang lebih tinggi dari anak dengan penglihatan normal. Meskipun demikian, anak penyandang miopia memiliki kesulitan sendiri dalam belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan faktor penyebab miopia pada anak kembar penyandang low vision. Penelitian dilakukan dengan wawancara kepada ibu dari anak kembar penyandang low vision. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa myopia pada anak kembar terjadi karena faktor genetik dan faktor pre natal. Miopia pada anak kembar sendiri mengganggu aktivitas belajar meskipun kedua anak kembar memiliki tingkat intelegensi rata-rata. Peneliti berharap hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi salah satu acuan untuk pembuatan kurikulum pembelajaran yang cocok bagi anak penyandang low vision. Dengan demikian, sistem pendidikan inklusi di Indonesia berjalan efektif sesuai tujuannya.

Abstract

Gangguan konsentrasi belajar matematika rentan terjadi pada berbagai jenjang pendidikan dan mengakibatkan terhambatnya proses belajar mengajar serta mempengaruhi prestasi akademik siswa. Dalam upaya mengatasi gangguan konsentrasi belajar matematika siswa, guru perlu memiliki strategi khusus agar dapat meminimalisir hambatan dalam proses belajar mengajar yang dapat menganggu konsentrasi belajar matematika siswa, strategi yang diterapkan guru tidak terlepas dari kemampuan guru dalam memanajemen kelas.  Untuk itu, penelitian ini bertujuan menguji efektivitas manajemen kelas untuk menurunkan gangguan konsentrasi belajar matematika pada siswa SD. Manajemen kelas terdiri dari tiga tahapan meliputi preventif, active learning dan korektif. Manajemen kelas diterapkan pada 30 orang siswa yang berada dalam satu kelas yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan nonrandomized control group pretest-posttest design dan data dikumpulkan dengan skala gangguan konsentrasi belajar matematika. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa intervensi manajemen kelas efektif menurunkan gangguan konsentrasi belajar matematika.

Abstract

Stimulation program is a treatment by providing literacy packages containing guidebooks literacy activities, media literacy in children and socialization for mothers. The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of the stimulation program to improve literacy skills in preschoolers. The proposed hypothesis that stimulation literacy program effective in improving early literacy skills in preschool children. This research method using a quasi-experimental design with the non-equivalent control group. Subjects were 30 children aged 3-5 years were divided into an experimental group and a control group. Based on the analysis by the non-parametric statistical test Mann-Whitney U, it was known that there were differences increase early literacy skills in the experimental group and control group. Qualitative analysis showed an increase in the literacy skills by observing changes in the measurement results. Results from this study are important as a new study in finding alternative methods of stimulating preschool children.Abstrak : Program stimulasi merupakan perlakuan dengan memberikan paket literasi berisi buku panduan aktivitas dan satu set media literasi pada anak serta sosialisasi untuk ibu. Tujuan penelitian untuk menguji efektivitas program stimulasi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi pada anak prasekolah. Hipotesis yang diajukan yaituprogram stimulasi literasi efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi awal pada anak prasekolah. Metode yang digunakan yaitu quasi experiment dengan desain non-equivalent control group. Subjek merupakan 30 anak usia 3-5 tahun yang terbagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dengan uji statistik non-parametrik Mann-Whitney U, diketahui bahwa terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan literasi awal pada kelompok eksperimen dengan kelompok kontrol. Analisis kualitatif menunjukan peningkatan kemampuan literasi dengan mengamati perubahan hasil pengukuran. Hasil penelitian ini penting sebagai kajian baru dalam menemukan alternatif metode stimulasi anak prasekolah.

Abstract

Career maturity is a condition that needed to choice the program in higher level study. Henceforth, the low level of career maturity in senior high school student has to be solved with the comprehensive intervention as soon as possible. The purpose of this research is to know the effectivity of Reach Your Dreams Training and career counseling for improving career maturity in senior high school student. This research used Solomon Six Group Design. Subjects of this research are 42 senior high school students with average level of career maturity who are divided into two groups given Reach Your Dreams Training, two groups given career counseling, and two control groups. According to the result, the conclusion of this research is Reach Your Dreams Training and Counseling Career can improve career maturity level in senior high school students effectively. It is caused by the effect of Reach Your Dreams Training and career counseling, and not caused by the effect of pretest.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic entered Indonesia in early 2020 and has not ended until now. The pandemic not only causes a wide impact on health problems, but also social, economic, educational, and psychological problems. One of them is the stress that occurs in society. One way to deal with stress is to think positively. The purpose of this scientific article is to find out positive thinking and its implications for reducing stress. The method used in this paper is a literature review. The results obtained are positive thinking can help overcome and reduce stress in the environment of health workers, social circles, as well as the environment for adolescents and students.

Abstract

Elderly is the final stage of the human life cycle. Every people wants happiness in his life, especially for the elderly who live in nursing homes. The research aims to describe how is the happiness of the elderly who live in nursing homes. The research uses qualitative with a case study approach. This study results showed that all subjects are happy to stay at nursing home and all subjects interpret happiness as feeling happy and satisfied. This is because the subjects can do the activities she likes whether it is related to religious activities or other personal activities, all needs including subjects health are guarenteed, subjects have many friends and subjects has positive hopes for her future.

Abstract

Education is very important in the life of citizens and includes children with special needs which are also regulated by the state. According to the law, children with special needs have the right to get a quality education. Children with mental retardation, in learning to read, write, and count, of course, face obstacles in their cognition, mastery, use of language, and physical-motor abilities. Therefore they need learning methods to improve their cognitive. The purpose of this article review is to review scientific articles that discuss effective scientific methods for mentally retarded children. The method used is library research with reference sources obtained from Google Scholar. The criteria for articles used as references are journals published in the last 10 years from 2012-2021. The results of the selected review articles state that visual, audio, kinesthetic, and tactile methods can be applied as learning methods for mentally retarded children, by optimizing all sensory functions. The application of this method is considered effective for helping mentally retarded children in the learning process, especially in reading, writing, and arithmetic. With this, it is hoped that it can help improve the learning achievement of mentally retarded children.

Abstract

Cheating is an act or dishonest treatment, as well as cheating to get good grades on exams or when working on questions for each lesson. With each individual must improve behavior that can minimize cheating behavior to achieve goals. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between the variables of conformity, self-control, and self-esteem with students' cheating behavior. The method used in this research is quantitative. There were 204 subjects in this study. The data collection tool used a scale of conformity, self-control, self-esteem, and cheating behavior. The data obtained was analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis techniques with SPSS 23 software for windows. The results of multiple regression analysis show that the sig value is 0.000, meaning that there is a correlation between conformity, self-control, self-esteem, and cheating behavior. Partially, there is no significant correlation between conformity and cheating behavior with a significant value of 0.371>0.05. There is a significant relationship between self-control and cheating behavior with a significant value of 0.010 <0.05 with an effective contribution of 0.049%. There is a significant relationship between self-esteem and cheating behavior with a significant value of 0.038<0.05 with an effective contribution of 0.032%. With it can be said that there is no significant relationship between conformity behavior and cheating behavior. And there is a significant relationship between self-control and self-esteem with cheating behavior.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the impact of “Goting” training in increasing the learning independence of junior high school students. A total number of 14 students who had a medium score of learning independence participated in this study. They have assigned into two groups, with seven students as the experimental group and seven students as the control group. The experimental group has given “Goting” training while the control group was a waiting list group. This study uses a learning independence scale (52 items) which refers to Song & Hill (2007) aspects, namely Personal Attributes, Processes, and Learning Context. The result of this study showed that there is a significant effect between the experimental group and the control group.
